What do you like best about Manjaro?

I am a user of Manjaro OS from the past 7 years and I can confidently say that it has been the one of the best and most popular Linux OS of all the time. Best part is Manjaro available in different flavours like Xfce, KDE, and GNOME that gives me the flexibility to install according to my need. Manjaro is a Arch based Linux it has Arch User Repository (AUR) that gives me the vast range of packages to install easily. One of the things I like the most about Manjaro is its user-friendly interface and awesome performance. I am using Manjaro because of its rolling release feature that gives the stability to Manjaro. What do you dislike about Manjaro?

Unlike any other OS, Manjaro does have its downsides. The only thing that feels challenging is hardware compatibility like graphic card, sound system, display etc Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Manjaro solving and how is that benefiting you?

We use Manjaro because it is free and open source. No commercial licence required to use in our business. Best part of Manjaro it gives the life to the old hardware system. What do you like best about Manjaro?

Being based on Arch Linux it offers a vast choice of packaged software. I used for 3 years and all the software that I needed or just wanted to try was installed entirely throught the default package manager. Regular updates and always having the cutting edge versions of software paid off inumerous times. The user forum is very helpful and it is quite easy to solve all the problems. Installation is a breeze, takes just a few minutes and is done entirely in the GUI installer. I used it daily and it is even more stable than the so-called stable distributions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Manjaro?

Sometimes after a major upgrade of GNOME, I had to switch down to console to disable some extensions. But this is the risk of using a rolling distribution and having manually installed GNOME extensions which I find perfectly acceptable. If you are an unexperienced user this can be quite preplexing and may leave you with an unusable system. My colleague who uses XFCE has never experinced this though. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Manjaro solving and how is that benefiting you?

Being able to install practically all the software ever publicly released for Linux through the default package manager. No special PPAs, not RPM repos - all you need is to enable AUR in Package Manager settings and you have tens of thousands of packages at your disposal, updated frequently. What do you like best about Manjaro?

Manjaro helps me keep my development environment in a system that is free from bloatware and ready to use when fresh-installed. A great and well-designed OS that stays out of the way when I'm working on my projects, something that is hard to say about other OS's today. Really easy to integrate/install on any machine with great implementation of system services and good customer support, especially with the community help. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Manjaro?

Being an arch-based distro, it can be quite difficult to get the rhythm of it, but once you get used to it, it's great. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Manjaro?

I have been using manjaro on my daily driver, it is just great.

The community is amazing , if i encounter any issues just a search solves everything.

The desktop environments available preconfigured are a big plus. i mainly use KDE plasma on my daily driver and i3 VM for my office desktop.

The manjaro package repo has just about every software on needs.

And the support for ARM devices is a big big plus point. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Manjaro?

Nothing specific i would quote. most of the linux distros tend to have some issue and rolling distro even more. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Manjaro solving and how is that benefiting you?

most of the linux systems on my office have manjaro installed either with gnome or i3 for advanced users. we also use wine when needed , so no unnecessary os lisensing cost.

As the community is very large most of the developers can resolve issues on their systems quickly with minimal downtime .

all in all i can say that for a IT firm if u want an arch alternative to ubuntu. go for manjaro linux Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Manjaro?

Manjaro Linux is a user-friendly and versatile operating system that is based on Arch Linux. I found that one of the things I like best about Manjaro is its simplicity and ease of use. The installation process is straightforward and the system is easy to set up and configure.

Another thing I appreciate about Manjaro is its robust package manager, which makes it easy to install and update software. The package manager also allows for easy installation of multiple versions of the same software, which is great for testing and development.

I also like the rolling release model of Manjaro, which ensures that the system is always up-to-date with the latest software and security updates. This eliminates the need for major version upgrades and allows users to always have the latest features and improvements.

Manjaro also offers a wide range of pre-configured desktop environments such as Xfce, KDE, and Gnome which makes it easy for users to choose the environment they are comfortable with. The community support is another strong aspect of Manjaro, with a large and active user base that is quick to provide assistance and answer questions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Manjaro?

Manjaro Linux is a user-friendly and versatile operating system that is based on Arch Linux. While it has many positive aspects, there are a few things that I dislike about it.

One issue I have encountered is the occasional breakage of certain packages during updates, which can cause problems with certain applications or system functions. This is a common issue with rolling release distributions like Manjaro, and while it is usually resolved quickly by the community, it can still be frustrating.

Another thing that I dislike about Manjaro is that, as it is based on Arch Linux, it can be less beginner-friendly than other distributions. Users who are not familiar with Linux may have a hard time understanding certain aspects of the system and troubleshooting issues.

Also, Manjaro doesn't have LTS (Long Term Support) releases, which can be an issue for users who require a stable environment for long-term projects. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Manjaro solving and how is that benefiting you?

Manjaro Linux is a user-friendly and versatile operating system that is based on Arch Linux. One of the main problems it solves is the need for a stable and easy-to-use distribution for Linux users. By providing a simple and intuitive user interface, Manjaro makes it easy for users to install and configure the system, as well as install and update software.

Another problem that Manjaro solves is the need for a rolling release distribution. The rolling release model ensures that the system is always up-to-date with the latest software and security updates, eliminating the need for major version upgrades and allowing users to always have the latest features and improvements.

Manjaro also offers a wide range of pre-configured desktop environments, such as Xfce, KDE, and Gnome, making it easy for users to choose the environment they are comfortable with. This solves the problem of having to manually set up and configure a desktop environment, which can be time-consuming and difficult for new users.

Community support is another strong aspect of Manjaro, with a large and active user base that is quick to provide assistance and answer questions. This solves the problem of not having enough support when facing an issue. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Manjaro?

It's the most Stable Arch linux I've used. It's clean, highly customizable and not bloated. Love the kvantum engine. Qt5 looks better. Has all the latest features, like timeshift and ZFS pools. I really like the drop down terminals. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Manjaro?

Default scheme, but not a biggie. I switched to Garuda because it looked cooler and seem to offer everything, but came back to manjaro because of Stabilty and ease of use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Manjaro?

This OS has all the tools for gaming on Linux out of the box. There is a low chance you might encounter common issues like "download this lib", "give permission to that tool" when you just want to install a Linux-compatible game and play it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Manjaro?

Lack of community support compared to other Linux distros. But it is growing! If it is your first Linux experience, I might suggest using Ubuntu instead.

Also, you won't get a totally lightweight experience from this distro. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Manjaro solving and how is that benefiting you?

I am able to game on Linux with this distro because the game cannot run on Windows (compatibility with new hardware) or one of my computers is just slow to run something on Windows. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
