Majestics best feature is its citation and backlink data. It takes any website and pulls all new and archived backlink data, anchor text, and trust category. If I am looking for reliable backlinks it allows me to export and sort exactly which backlinks I want to use. Being able to see exactly where each of your backlinks is coming from and trend your rankings is extremely helping in trying to get your golden ratio right. The added feature of running a campaign for newly acquired backlinks and lost backlinks allows you to maintain your links simultaneously without your domain or url rating being affected. I forgot to mention that I'm a picture person so graphs help me understand everything 1000% better. It is also note worthy to mention that for everything you don't know about the product you can hit their "how to" link on the bottom of the website to help you navigate all of its possibilities. If you compare Majestic with other Backlink Checker Tools, it has one of the biggest crawl depths of all available solutions on the market. This means it discovers a big majority of all the links out there (of course no tool in the world can discover 100% of all links). I also like their differentiation between the fresh and historic index. The historic index is updated roughly 2 times per year, whereas the fresh index is updated on a daily basis. Both have their advantages and disadvantages, depending on your analysis goals, but I really like the flexibility to take a look at both. Also, their TF (Trust Flow) and CF (Citation Flow) stats as well as Topical trust flows allow you to identify quite fast the “off-page quality” of a specific domain. I have been a proud Majestic user since the beginning, it has many unique features it's competitors don't have, the absolute best one, and the one i use the most is the api feature, i have integrated it in a number of different script and softwares over the years, it even has a trust flow option which i have found to be fairly accurate. This one is easy, it is the price! although it is a very good software, they could be doing with lowering the price slightly, i understand the running cost of the crawler will be quite high, this is one of the reasons i don't actually mind paying the monthly fee and extra api costs.
