I am getting notified immediately if there is any problem with the sender's email. Minor problem. Devs are fixing it :-) **Recommendations to others considering Mailflow Monitoring:** Just signup setup your monitors and never look back :-) **What problems is Mailflow Monitoring solving and how is that benefiting you?** Complete mail loop flow testing. We now know within minutes when a mail flow has gone offline. ### 4. Since it is an outside service, it is the cleanest approach to insure E-Mail Services, end-to-end. It takes a bit of skill to setup your local E-Mail server with the proper forwarding rules, but once done, you can configure the frequency of mail checks. The service sends a test E-Mail to your server, with specific identifying details. You then configure your forwarder to respond to this automated E-Mail with the properly configured response. This tests the following flow (for my use case):P MailFlow Monitor sends E-Mail DuoCircle mail filtering received the E-Mail Proper spam and virus checks are run DuoCircle forwards to my local E-Mail Server My local E-Mail server performs local spam/virus checks [Amavisd/clamd + Postfix + Dovecot + Sieve] postfix automatically responds to special E-Mail address outbound.mailhop.org receives response outbound.mailhop.org sends to original MailFlow Monitor -- IF HERE, WITHIN SMALL TIME-FRAME, SUCCESS -- **What do you dislike about Mailflow Monitoring?** The service uses up some of my outbound.mailhop.org outgoing E-Mail quota. You pay for 150/day x N [N has a cost] **Recommendations to others considering Mailflow Monitoring:** Make sure to consider the compromise between ping frequency, and cost of any outgoing E-Mail. **What problems is Mailflow Monitoring solving and how is that benefiting you?** If the above flow does not get to the end-point, I get a txt message, and an E-Mail to an outside E-Mail service.
