What do you like best about Magnet Forensics?

Magnet is useful for cases that involve computers and cell phones because it can process both of them together and is easy to use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Magnet Forensics?

Magnet can feel clunky sometimes compared to Cellebrite, in regards to the reporting. The portable case is more difficult for the non-forensic investigators to use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"A must-have in your forensics toolset"

What do you like best about Magnet Forensics?

The variety of artifacts parsers that are available by default with Magnet Axiom Cyber (+ the capabilities to add those shared by the community or even those that you develop yourself). I could also mention the fact that the software allows us to proceed to all of the required steps for an investigation: Acquire evidence (either locally or remotely), process and parse artifacts and investigate.

Their team is there for us when we have specific needs or ideas (or if we need support), we are dealing with humans that care about their users and it's worth mentioning. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Magnet Forensics?

Sometimes, when working with large evidence/cases, there could be some bug that forces us to restart the client. It mostly happens with "Magnet Axiom Examine" and not with "Magnet Axiom Process" - which is a "good" thing as the "acquire" and "process" phases are reliable. It's just the viewer that sometimes has a hard time when we have millions of artifacts in the case. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"A great piece of software developped by a great team!"

What do you like best about Magnet Forensics?

All the artifacts captured and the way they are represented in the GUI. This is really awesome! Displaying conversation in Teams or other messaging apps is a breeze with the "Conversation View". The lawyers here don't want PSTs anymore! ;) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Magnet Forensics?

Dark mode could be better, templates for picking up specific artifacts once the data is indexed would be really nice. Filtering directly on a column or a value would be nice as well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Magnet Forensics?

Magnet has developed training that provides the learner with clear instruction on how to use Axiom to be very successful with their forensic examinations. The instructors are prepared, the software platforms utilized are effective, and the example course work utilizes Axiom as well as other industry tools for a complete understanding of how to best complete a forensic examination with meaningful results. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Magnet Forensics?

I have found nothing that would discourage anyone from utilizing Magnet Forensics as the premier forensic utility. Additionally, their training and support are unsurpased. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
