"Lumar is a great tool to keep track & optimize the performance of your website"
What do you like best about Lumar (formerly Deepcrawl)?

I have been using Lumar for the past 3 years as a very effective tool to keep track and optimize several websites in the company.

We use Lumar with crawls on a weekly basis that we later use to implement changes. I love the fact that I can add people to be notified for each of the projects we crawl so they can perform the needed tasks. Also as our websites are quite similar, having a comparable SEO score allows us to match the progress done in different projects.

I like that hints are provided everywhere by hovering on certain labels so it is easy to learn what certain metric is about.

A very interesting feature is the Traffic Funnel which quickly helps notice where problems might lie. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Lumar (formerly Deepcrawl)?

Sometimes identifying where an error is coming from (eg: 404s can be from pages in sitemap, crawl, google, etc) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Fast Crawl, Detailed Analysis with User Friendly Interface"
What do you like best about Lumar (formerly Deepcrawl)?

Lumar stands out for me with its impressive speed. It offers a comprehensive suite of reports covering technical SEO, site speed, and accessibility, which provide valuable insights for improving website performance. The tailored analytics feature is particularly useful, allowing us to customise reports to fit our specific needs. The platform's user-friendly interface makes navigating through its various features straightforward, helping us quickly identify areas for improvement to enhance performance. A special shoutout to the experts looking after our account, Rachael and Joshua, who have been exceptional in providing us with all the support we need to use the platform effectively. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Lumar (formerly Deepcrawl)?

The extensive range of features can initially be a bit overwhelming, especially for new users. It takes some time to get accustomed to the platform and make the most of its capabilities. However, the support team was great at providing us with the training we needed for a great experience. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"A useful SEO tool"
What do you like best about Lumar (formerly Deepcrawl)?

I have been a Lumar user for around 4 months and I must say, it is a great tool! It makes my everyday work fixing technical SEO issues super easy, the UI is user friendly, and you won't have to bother watching tutorials to figure out what's where. The customer support is great, they answer fast and follow up when needed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Lumar (formerly Deepcrawl)?

I don't like the fact that they take backlinks into account for 404s but they don't say where the backlink is coming from. This way it'srather hard to decide if the backlink is even valuable enough for fixing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Great Partner"
What do you like best about Lumar (formerly Deepcrawl)?

Lumar does an excellent job from both a support and tool perspective. I have gained many valuable insights from both the tool and technical SEO that has helped to support our overall SEO strategy as a business. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Lumar (formerly Deepcrawl)?

The UI can be a bit overwhelming at first. After you familiarize yourself with the UI, it becomes less daunting. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Great Experience From Start To Finish"
What do you like best about Lumar (formerly Deepcrawl)?

There are loads of things I love about Lumar - I used it originally back when it was Deepcrawl and what blows me away is the level of auditing it provides from a technical SEO perspective. In the different roles I've had, I'll always advocate to have a lumar account.

From a usability perspective it's easy to filter and find out the info that you need. You even have the ability to select important pieces of info that are relevent for your task at hand and to export that data so you can continue your dive in excel if you prefer.

The level of support you receive is also fantastic. The Lumar team are always willing to help when you have questions around data, what it means and will provide support too (Shout out to Lilla for all the regex formulas she's helped me with!) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Lumar (formerly Deepcrawl)?

Sometimes, if you have a large website it can take quite a while to crawl but to be honest, that sort of thing is expected. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Andrew Levey of Lumar (formerly Deepcrawl)

Hi Jenny, thanks for your review, and great to hear about your experience of Lumar! Just on the time to complete a crawl, we made some improvements to our crawler so it's now able to crawl as fast as your infrastructure allows (up to 350 URLs/s for rendered URLs in testing). We obviously limit crawl speeds to make sure there is no negative impact to your site, but if you speak to your dev ops team to identify what crawl rate your infrastructure can handle, then let us know and we can look at increasing the crawl rate for your account. Thanks, Andrew.

"Great support services and a comprehensive crawling tool"
What do you like best about Lumar (formerly Deepcrawl)?

Fantastic pro-services team is there for anything we need in the world of technical SEO, from ad-hoc asks about setup and hreflang, to more in depth projects around internal linking.

Lumar's cloud-based crawler is able to handle our massive site with millions of URL's which is super helpful for analysis.

The amount of features can be a bit overwhelming, but the pro-serv team does a great job at highlighting issues that they have found for us to pay attention to. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Lumar (formerly Deepcrawl)?

Features can be a bit overwhelming for a one-man-band SEO team.

Pro-serv team aren't always completely business driven due to the focus on tech SEO, I'd like to see more emphasis on tying the technical SEO wins to actual traffic numbers and revenue - e.g we found and fixed issue Y, which lead to X% increase in traffic to that site segment.

I'd also like to see more initiatives coming from the team - e.g we think implementing this would be a big win, or we've seen great success with this project for another client, what do you think to trying this on your site. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Excellent tool and Consistent Professional Services Team"
What do you like best about Lumar (formerly Deepcrawl)?

The tool is great BUT the largest benefit of working with Lumar is having exposure and access to their expert staff - and I mean that seriously, they are experts as it relates to SEO. I worked with Lumar on a challenging suite of websites that had both technical and legacy issues that are still being unraveled but would have not been identified and clearly outlined for improvement were it not for Anne and Natalie. They're always clear in their findings and include information that all interested parties can digest. It's not easy to break down SEO issues that go beyond upholding best practices, but they manage to do it. We used Lumar weekly and in some cases daily to review and plan for critical repair work that needed to be done. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Lumar (formerly Deepcrawl)?

I wish the login prompt was a drop down vs. the modal? opening - half the time I don't track that it's opened and wonder why I'm not able to login! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Andrew Levey of Lumar (formerly Deepcrawl)

Hi Abby, thanks for your review. We'd love to hear a bit more about the login issues you're having, so we can feed this into our product management team. If you could send us some more detail through the app (use the smiley face in the bottom left corner of the app to give us feedback), we'd be really grateful. Thanks, Andrew.

"Best Crawler and Customer Support in the industry!"
What do you like best about Lumar (formerly Deepcrawl)?

Lumar is a super helpful tool for checking out your website and making sure everything's running smoothly behind the scenes. It's seriously easy to use - quick and painless. I actually use it every single day.

But you know what makes Lumar even better? It's the customer support and this awesome person named Odette. They're like the superheroes of Lumar. Whenever I'm stuck or have a question, they swoop in and save the day with super speedy help. It's the reason I fell in love with Lumar in the first place. So if you need a hand with your website stuff, Lumar and their amazing team have got your back. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Lumar (formerly Deepcrawl)?

Frequent UI changes....actually, ignore me, the UI is great! :p Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"A great tool and a better partner"
What do you like best about Lumar (formerly Deepcrawl)?

The crawl assessments by the Lumar team gives real context to the findings from the tool. We work together to make actionable User Stories for our dev team that lead to measurable impact on the site. We use a lot of tools that identify issues and insights, but Deepcrawl one of the elite few that leads to huge results! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Lumar (formerly Deepcrawl)?

Whenever we have a minor issue with the account or tool, Lumar is quick to work with us and fix the issue. The platform is constantly evolving and getting better. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"An extension of your Tech SEO team"
What do you like best about Lumar (formerly Deepcrawl)?

I am a big fan of Lumar and have used the tool and professional services team in several companies.

The Lumar tool is truly exceptional. It simplifies the processes of scheduling, storing, and analysing extensive crawl data. This convenience allows for easy identification of trends over time and facilitates the sharing of crucial crawl insights with the relevant teams. Having recent site-wide crawl data readily accessible to the entire team is particularly advantageous. It ensures that everyone is examining the same data, streamlining the process, and saving valuable time that would otherwise be spent running numerous smaller crawls on individual PCs.

The professional services team at Lumar is nothing short of exceptional. I genuinely view them as an extension of our own team, expanding our technical SEO capabilities and preventing issues from going unnoticed. What sets this team apart is their flexibility and willingness to delve into various aspects within the allotted hours. They frequently come to meetings armed with insights gathered from a wide range of sources, not confining themselves solely to the reports generated by Lumar (which, by the way, are also outstanding). Moreover, the team is highly accessible beyond scheduled meetings. They have supported us during routine business operations and have been instrumental in analysing crawls during migration processes.

Lastly, it's worth noting the continuous evolution of the Lumar tool and services. They consistently listen to customer feedback and make substantial improvements to the platform and their offerings, demonstrating their commitment to delivering top-quality solutions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Lumar (formerly Deepcrawl)?

I wouldn't go so far as to say "dislike." Rather, I would suggest expanding the avenues for collecting customer feedback, such as incorporating focus groups and surveys. This approach will help guarantee the ongoing enhancement and expansion of the platform. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
