## LucidLink Reviews
 ### 1. Affordable, Team-Friendly Post-Production Collaboration with Minimal Syncing

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Eric W. | Post Production Supervisor, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 10, 2026

**What do you like best about LucidLink?**

A great way to integrate a large team of post-production professionals across multiple areas using a single shared source of data. All you need is a computer with a decent internet connection, and you can get started right away with minimal syncing and file downloads. The classic pricing with Wasabi is quite affordable for the level of service you receive. There is plenty of support available. There is no AI integration which I see as a bonus. User interface is pretty much your own computer system, it runs in the background.

**What do you dislike about LucidLink?**

The new pricing is very expensive per TB. And if you don't have a strong internet connection you are pretty much locked out of using the system as caching files takes quite a long time.

**What problems is LucidLink solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It was the best solution to have an online shared raid for mutable users, with the performance needed to work even with video editing in real time. No more having to sync files back and forth to you computer, running an expensive incomplete local drive of data that doesn't match up to anyone else's set of data. You can work like everyone would work if they were all on a LAN sharing the same raid data, but spread across the globe.

**Official Response from LucidLink Marketing:**

> We're glad to hear that you find LucidLink to be a great way to integrate a large team of post-production professionals and that you appreciate the affordable pricing with Wasabi. We understand your concerns about the new pricing and the need for a strong internet connection, and we are constantly working to improve our service to better meet the needs of our users.

 ### 2. Fast, Seamless Collaboration with LucidLink—Feels Like a Native File System

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sam M. | Designer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 10, 2026

**What do you like best about LucidLink?**

The ease of use, the speed and the interconnectivity. I'm able to work collaboratively on any project (with multiple remote collaborators) and see updates in real time but without any lag in the software. The speed is the same as if I was working on my desktop.

**What do you dislike about LucidLink?**

The setup was a little bit fiddly but much of that is due to the data security conformity where I work. I had great support from the LucidLink team who collaborated with our IT support team. There is nothing I dislike about using LucidLink for day to day tasks - its just like using my computer's native filing system but I have access to all projects by all other collaborators on the same system.

I think there could be some improvements ot user management to allow more flexibility and visibility and to allow freelance users to be managed more quickly.

**What problems is LucidLink solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Collaboration and having a single source of truth for all projects - regardless of whether the team working on a project is all in house or a mix of freelance and in house. Its allowed us to work quickly and efficiently and helped us avoid costly mistakes that have happened in the past when working with a more disjointed filing process.

**Official Response from LucidLink Marketing:**

> We're delighted to hear that LucidLink is providing you with fast and seamless collaboration, making it feel like a native file system. We value your feedback about the setup process and user management, and we'll take that into account as we continue to improve our platform.

 ### 3. File streaming, access control, and real collaboration in one shared filespace

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Omar S. | Project Manager, Information Technology and Services, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 09, 2026

**What do you like best about LucidLink?**

In creative or production projects, the problem usually isn't that the team doesn't know what to do. The real problem is that nobody can move forward until a file finishes downloading, the right version shows up, or someone confirms where the final assets are. Before LucidLink, a big part of my work as a Project Manager was basically managing the chaos around files: who had them, who uploaded them, which version was the right one, and how long it would take before the rest of the team could start working. With LucidLink, that whole process feels different. Instead of waiting for full downloads or duplicating folders across different people, the team works from a shared filespace almost like it were a local drive. For projects with video files, heavy graphics, design assets, or production material, that difference is huge. It doesn't feel like constantly uploading and downloading files anymore. It feels like everyone is working from the same place. Everyone goes into the same filespace and finds the updated material there. That alone cuts down a lot of unnecessary conversations about versions and makes reviews much easier to manage.

**What do you dislike about LucidLink?**

We tried moving too many folders at once in the beginning and ended up bringing some of our old mess with us. Folder names, permissions, deliverables, versions, final files, that structure still needs to be planned properly. Once we cleaned that up, the platform started giving us a lot more value.

**What problems is LucidLink solving and how is that benefiting you?**

A good example was an audiovisual project that was entering its final review stage. We had the editor, designer, marketing team, and client all reviewing assets almost at the same time. In other projects, that stage usually turned into a headache: temporary links, duplicated folders, files named “final,” “final_v2,” and “final_approved,” and people still trying to figure out which version was actually the latest. This time, we organized everything in LucidLink from the start of the review phase. The editor worked on the footage, design pulled assets from the same space, and marketing reviewed cuts without waiting for transfers. When the client asked for a specific change, nobody had to resend a full package or prepare another folder. The team updated the right file, and everyone kept working from the same place. The final handoff was much calmer because we didn't have to reconstruct where everything was at the end of the project. LucidLink didn't magically make the project simple, but it removed one of the most annoying parts of the process: moving huge files between too many people.

**Official Response from LucidLink Marketing:**

> Thank you for your feedback! We understand the initial challenges you faced when moving folders, and we appreciate your patience as you organized the structure. We're glad to hear that once the platform was properly set up, it provided more value to your team.

 ### 4. Simple solution for a complex workflow

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dale G. | Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 18, 2023

**What do you like best about LucidLink?**

My favorite thing about LucidLink is that it one of those tools that just works. There's very little complexity to it. The system is easy to set up and configure and they have a pricing model that makes it very easy to anticipate costs. We've had very few technical issues with it and even when we have their tech support is very responsive and quick to resolve even minor issues.

**What do you dislike about LucidLink?**

There's not much to really dislike about the system. I wish there were "guest" or "read-only" account options offered at a lower price but hard to complain too much given the price point it's offered at. I do wish cache management was a bit more refined. If I want to clear my cache to make room on my hard drive I feel like I have to kind of hack my way to doing that. Would be nice if there was a simple "Clear Cache" button (like what Adobe Premiere has) to make room when the cache gets full.

**What problems is LucidLink solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I don't have a dedicated post team. I have a network of freelancers I work with. So we don't have a shared storage system when we collaborate. So it's great to be able to onboard a freelancer, give them access to a specific project in my LucidLink storage, collaborate back and forth on the project through LucidLink, and then when the project is done, I simply remove their access. They don't have to pass a drive back to me for finishing and I don't have to worry about them forgetting to copy over some media file to the drive. It's all in the LucidLink project folder.

 ### 5. Cloud storage that feels local and actually works as advertised

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Michael H. | Senior Video Editor, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 07, 2026

**What do you like best about LucidLink?**

LucidLink lets our team of editors, mograph artists, colorists, audio engineers, and even account management work from a single source of truth. There’s no more collecting files, duplicating projects and merging later, or pushing and pulling assets to Dropbox/Google/Frame just so someone else can jump in and work on the same project. Now we simply add them as a member, they sign into LucidLink, and within minutes they’re up and running.

Being able to open a project in Premiere or After Effects and have it pin all the used footage—or even just the footage used in a specific sequence—is a huge time-saver. It makes accessing cloud-based storage feel much more like working locally.

The best part is that our staff and freelancers are no longer limited by geography. An editor can be in Indiana, VFX in Florida, mograph in LA, and the sound mix in New York, and it still feels like we’re all working in the same facility.

**What do you dislike about LucidLink?**

The ability to share links with non-Lucid members could be improved. It's great that we can share assets, but it's a bit convoluted and requires using LucidLink via the web browser, which is slower than using it as a mounted drive.

It would also be great if you could pause or prioritize syncing. Right now files appear to be syncing in the order they are updated or moved ot Lucid, but sometimes you may be transferring a lot of large files (say footage after a shoot), but a higher priority file needs to be pushed after that footage was started. Having an interface with a list of all files syncing and the ability to tag specific files as High, Medium, Low prioirity would be fantastic.

**What problems is LucidLink solving and how is that benefiting you?**

LucidLink solves the challenge of having both remote and local workers needing access to the same assets at the same time, without wasting time duplicating files or sending them back and forth. It reduces the overhead of file management and version tracking, so we can focus more on the creative side of post-production—edits, graphics, effects, sound, and color.

**Official Response from LucidLink Marketing:**

> We're thrilled to hear that LucidLink has been such a valuable asset for your team, allowing for seamless collaboration and eliminating geographical limitations. We appreciate your feedback on the ability to share links and prioritize syncing, and we'll certainly take that into consideration for future improvements.

 ### 6. Excellent Cloud Collaboration, but Reliability and Pricing Need Work

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Adam S. | Post Production Consultant and Additional Editing, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 07, 2026

**What do you like best about LucidLink?**

The ability to have my projects stored in the cloud, with versioning (and backup), as well as the ability to collaborate with remote editors/assistant editors makes LucidLink a truly outstanding product that feels like a necessity for modern day post production.

**What do you dislike about LucidLink?**

Unfortunately however, LucidLink isn't without its flaws. It can be tricky to troubleshoot, and I have had a couple instances where the files haven't properly uploaded, a project has become corrupted, or connections just fully drop. There was a period of about a month where the system became so unreliable I almost considered abandoning it entirely. Thankfully working alongside customer support we seem to have resolved most of the issues.

Additionally, while the cost is *relatively* affordable, for small indie projects or freelancers the cost is enough that you definitely need to justify it. I wish there was a more cost effective tier that would make it feel like a no-brainer to use.

**What problems is LucidLink solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The two biggest problems that LucidLink is solving is backups/project versioning, as well as remote collaboration.

**Official Response from LucidLink Marketing:**

> We're glad to hear that LucidLink has been easy to use and has seamlessly integrated into your workflow. We appreciate your feedback about the clunkiness and learning curve, and we're constantly working to improve the user experience. We apologize for any inconvenience caused by the occasional offline issues and frequent updates. Your input helps us to continue refining our service.

 ### 7. Easily the most impactful upgrade for our dispersed production team

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Brad B. | Sr Director, Video Content Production, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 06, 2026

**What do you like best about LucidLink?**

The most helpful thing about Lucidlink is that it is incredibly intuitive. All of the magic is happening in the background, and the average user doesn't need to understand an entirely new technology framework. Add on top of the fact that it just works - the performance is great, and because it essentially maps a new local drive, there are no complicated integration steps to get it to work with all of our production software - and I can easily say that it's the highest combination of usability, cost-effectiveness, and workflow impact currently in our stack.

The support team has been super helpful in our scoping, integrations, and rollout to a wider team of primarily graphic design, video editing, and 3D animation teams.

**What do you dislike about LucidLink?**

The only issues we've encountered have been around software versions and updates, specifically how they have interacted with our company's IT hardware policies. The machine IDs got a little squirrelly when someone would get a new computer, but between the Lucid team and our folks, we were able to eventually identify the issues and get them ironed out.

**What problems is LucidLink solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The main issue that Lucid solves for us is allowing a geographically dispersed production team to all have access to one common repository of all of our media. Whereas before we were relying on file transfers, mailing drives, etc., now we can plan for every editor to have access to the media once it's uploaded, and avoid the endless duplication and version control headaches we had before.

**Official Response from LucidLink Marketing:**

> We're thrilled to hear that LucidLink has had such a positive impact on your production team! It's great to know that the intuitive interface and seamless integration have made a significant difference in your workflow. We appreciate your feedback and are committed to providing ongoing support for a smooth experience.

 ### 8. Familiar Local-Drive Collaboration with Cloud Streaming for Remote Teams

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Reinhardt L. | Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 03, 2026

**What do you like best about LucidLink?**

Collaboration in LucidLink is appealing because it gives users a familiar local-drive experience while keeping files in the cloud. It avoids many of the headaches that come with VPN file shares, traditional sync tools, large downloads, and version conflicts. I especially like it for remote teams working with large files, since it streams only what users need, reduces local storage requirements, and keeps everyone working from the same central source. Security is another strong point, with encrypted cloud-based access and better control than ad-hoc file sharing. I also like the speed compared to OneDrive.

**What do you dislike about LucidLink?**

What I don’t like about LucidLink is that it can become expensive compared to traditional file storage or basic cloud sync tools, especially as data and users grow. Performance is still heavily dependent on internet quality, latency, local cache setup, and endpoint reliability, so it is not immune to “slow file access” complaints.

It also adds another platform for IT to manage, monitor, secure, and support. Users may need some adjustment because it is not exactly the same as a normal file server or OneDrive/SharePoint sync. I would also be cautious about using it as a blanket replacement for all file storage without proper testing, especially for very large datasets, poor connectivity sites, or workloads that need guaranteed LAN-speed access.

**What problems is LucidLink solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Integration is so much better than onedrive

**Official Response from LucidLink Marketing:**

> Thank you for sharing your positive experiences with LucidLink's collaboration and security features. We appreciate your feedback on the cost and performance aspects, and we are committed to improving in these areas. Your input is valuable to us as we strive to provide the best possible service.

 ### 9. Easy, Centralized Office Data Access with Great Support and Performance

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Zachary S. | Senior Tax Accountant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 02, 2026

**What do you like best about LucidLink?**

LucidLink is a great easy way to have all of our office data in a central location for all employees to access needed information to complete their work. The support has always been great when it was needed and It has been able to keep up performance with all of our employees whether in office or working remotely. The User Interface is easy enough to use even for employees with little experience. The pricing per employee makes it very economical and a great choice for any office.

**What do you dislike about LucidLink?**

The only thing I dislike about LucidLink and doesn't affect every profession is when it comes to using Quickbooks. If you close out of a QuickBooks file and don't let it fully upload before the computer shuts down, you lose data and have to import one of the backups.

**What problems is LucidLink solving and how is that benefiting you?**

LucidLink is benefiting our office by having everything safely and securely stored in a cloud and freeing up space on our computer's hard drives. Everything loads very quickly and rarely run into any issues.

**Official Response from LucidLink Marketing:**

> We're thrilled to hear that LucidLink has been able to provide easy, centralized office data access and great support for your team. It's fantastic to know that our solution has been able to keep up with the performance needs of your employees, whether in the office or working remotely. We appreciate your feedback on the user interface and pricing as well.

 ### 10. Simple, Fast Caching and Smooth Performance for Video Editing

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Gaurav S. | Video Producer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 02, 2026

**What do you like best about LucidLink?**

What's great about LucidLink is that, unlike other file management systems like Dropbox or Facilis, the caching process is extremely simple and fast. The UI is well-built and everything works smoothly, guaranteeing fast performance in my video editing workflow.

**What do you dislike about LucidLink?**

I can't name many downsides, the only one I have in mind is that sometimes the cache fills up local storage, and when you go to drop it, it doesn't act immediately. My workaround for this is I set a new pin limit at 1 GB and then it flushes out the cache immediately. But I wish clicking "drop cache" immediately got rid of all the files and freed up space locally, without having to use this workaround.

**What problems is LucidLink solving and how is that benefiting you?**

LucidLink is really well integrated into my Adobe workflow, so I can store all my Adobe files on our company's LucidLink servers and those master files are able to reference all relevant media really easily.

**Official Response from LucidLink Marketing:**

> We're thrilled to hear that LucidLink has been beneficial for your Adobe workflow and has provided seamless integration for storing and referencing your media files. We appreciate your feedback about the cache filling up local storage, and we will take this into account as we continue to improve our platform.

 ### 11. Seamless switch from Dropbox, BUT super-slow search and inability to search within Adobe software

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Natalie T. | Digital Designer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 02, 2026

**What do you like best about LucidLink?**

It was fairly seamless to switch from Dropbox to LucidLink and the recent update means that it works well on a Mac as well as the PCs now. This was a problem for us Mac users when we tested it the year before.

**What do you dislike about LucidLink?**

Finding files takes too long! Dropbox was much much faster, The problem is something to do with the way Lucidlink saves data. So we have had to buy a small bit of extra software called Find Any File to help us find our files. That works well but then we have to look at the file path and go back to our LucidLink folder to get the file.
The biggest failure of LucidLink is that we can't save and search from within the Adobe Creative Suite packages. So usually in InDesign or Illustrator we could choose File > Save as > then search within the finder structure (on a Mac) to look for the folder name. We can't do this at all in LucidLink. That's a major failure for our efficient workflow and if we had a choice I would ask for us to go back to Dropbox. So in face I would give LucidLink a 5, not a 7.

**What problems is LucidLink solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We needed to store a lot of files centrally to work between teams and locations, for both Mac and PC users. The files are big (they are graphics files) so we needed them to be cached not stored locally as they are too big to store locally on each workstation. LucidLink was the system we had to replace Dropbox with, for business security reasons. LucidLink has better security, but it has made our file searching and saving functions less efficient (now we have to use a 3rd party to search for files as LucidLink to way too slow).

**Official Response from LucidLink Marketing:**

> Thank you for sharing your experience with LucidLink. We appreciate your feedback about the slow search functionality and the inability to search within Adobe software. We are constantly working to improve our product and will take your comments into consideration for future updates.

 ### 12. LucidLink: Seamless Mac Integration, Reliable Performance, and Excellent Support

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Matt P. | Director of Video, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 30, 2026

**What do you like best about LucidLink?**

LucidLink streamlines the communication between our team members. We can review each other's work, learn from one another, and pick up the slack if anyone gets into a pickle. The server integration with the Mac's finder program is super intuitive and works seamlessly with our programs. The pinning feature makes internet speed practically a non-issue when traveling, and the performance is super reliable. Even when Lucid was down I reached out to a representative and was helped immediately.

**What do you dislike about LucidLink?**

The most difficult part about LucidLink is needing reliable internet when your assets aren't pinned. But with a good ssd and regular pinning habits you can largely avoid this issue. Although the price is expensive, I do feel that being charged by the amount of storage used is a fair practice.

**What problems is LucidLink solving and how is that benefiting you?**

LucidLink helps us collaborate more which makes all our work rise. It also makes it really easy to pass projects off from one team member to the next. It's also a great way to share assets. In the past we spent so much time uploading and downloading that it was practically impossible to pass a project along, but now it is as simple as closing it on my end and letting my teammate open it on theirs. Infinitely faster.

**Official Response from LucidLink Marketing:**

> We're thrilled to hear that LucidLink has streamlined communication and collaboration for your team. The integration with Mac's finder program and the pinning feature are designed to enhance user experience. We appreciate your feedback and are glad to hear that our support team was able to assist you promptly.

 ### 13. Smart Caching, Seamless macOS Integration — Fast, Reliable, AI-Ready

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Francesco M. | Video Producer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 30, 2026

**What do you like best about LucidLink?**

The intelligent caching system. It's much more convenient and intutive than other file storage providers. It integrates incredibly well even with MacOS, which is a notoriously unfriendly environment to anything non MacOS

**What do you dislike about LucidLink?**

I don't have a lot of downsides, I could use further integration with MacOS and better support for pacakges. Performance is good, pricing is adequate, though I would like to be able to create teams using already existing subscribers, without having to pay an extra seat as the accoutn owneer. I think that, within reasonable limitations, those who already own a paid account should be allowed to join at least one other drive without an additional cost for anyone. It would allow more straight-forward relationships between freelancers. I am starting to play now with AI integration and I hope that full onbarding will be available on all the main platforms.

**What problems is LucidLink solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Portability of files. I don't need external drives anymore for ongoing work, I just switch staitons, and locations, login and work

**Official Response from LucidLink Marketing:**

> Thank you for sharing your positive experience with LucidLink's intelligent caching system and seamless integration with MacOS. We appreciate your feedback and are constantly working to improve our MacOS integration and support for packages.

 ### 14. Intuitive remote collaboration and powerful cache; occasional slowdowns during peak hours

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Marioly S. | Editor de video, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 21, 2025

**What do you like best about LucidLink?**

I like that LucidLink is intuitive and easy to use, and that uploading files is simple. Its workspace is quite easy to manage. One way it saves me a lot of time is its media cache capability, as I can set a fairly high cache capacity and thus avoid delays due to poor file loading. I use it for team work and to securely share files for video editing. When an editor finishes their part, they upload it to LucidLink and then another editor can access it from another part of the world without any problem. I use it with Premiere Pro and DaVinci Resolve. We used to use Google Drive, where uploading and downloading files, which are usually quite large, was too slow and delayed the workflow, and we needed to streamline that aspect. I would recommend it because it is an easy-to-adapt system that works for many people.

**What do you dislike about LucidLink?**

Sometimes, for some reason, LucidLink becomes slow; it doesn't matter if my connection is good and I have no internet issues, it tells me I have a terrible connection and I can't see what I'm editing because it freezes on me. It seems more like a system crash than a personal problem. It happens more in the mornings or late in the afternoon. When many of us are connected, it fails for all of us. The initial setup was a bit difficult. It was more about starting to work in a different way and adapting. I think it has improvements.

**What problems is LucidLink solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use LucidLink so that several editors can work on the same video from different parts of the world without any problem; one uploads their part and another comes in afterwards. It saves me time with its media cache, which prevents delays due to poor loading. Before, with Google Drive, uploading large files was very slow.

**Official Response from LucidLink Marketing:**

> We apologize for the slow upload and download speeds. Our team is constantly working to improve performance and we appreciate your feedback.

 ### 15. Effortless File Management with Stellar Mobile Access

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kyle O. | Project Manager, Architecture & Planning, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 22, 2025

**What do you like best about LucidLink?**

What I like most is probably the mobile app. Being able to access our server and files at any given point is huge. When I get a phone call from a client who needs me to reference a specific document, it can be really hard to figure that out if you don't have everything saved and readily available on your phone. The app makes it easier for us to get back to clients and provide accurate information much quicker than if we were relying on local storage we had to go back to, or if we had to go back to the office and pull it up on the cloud via Google Drive. It's just a very consistent, easy process using LucidLink and the mobile app. It helps us maintain efficiency when we're working collaboratively and passing things back and forth. We've gone through probably four or five different hosting sites and ways to save our data both locally and in the cloud for remote access, and LucidLink really simplifies a lot of that. It lets us all feel confident that we'll have the up to date files across the team, with no delays waiting on files. It's built into our workflow now and synchronized on every team member's computer. The mobile support was the main reason we switched from LucidLink Classic, and it accomplishes all our goals in one. The initial setup was incredibly simple. I haven't had any complaints, and it's gone really well compared to some of our other programs in the past. If it's a good fit for someone, I'd say it's a 10 out of 10.

**What do you dislike about LucidLink?**

{"As of right now, I mean, I don't really have any complaints or anything negative. It seems like it's gone really well. I mean, we haven't really had any issues using LucidLink right now compared to some of our other programs in the past.","LucidLink Classic didn't have the mobile support. That was the main reason for switching to LucidLink now from the Classic.","With Google Drive, we were having some issues just with files not being up to date or taking a little long."}

**What problems is LucidLink solving and how is that benefiting you?**

LucidLink helps us maintain efficiency when working collaboratively and passing things back and forth. It's consistent file management that keeps us confident we all have up-to-date files, with no delays waiting on files. The mobile app lets me access files anytime and get back to clients quicker with accurate info.

**Official Response from LucidLink Marketing:**

> We're glad to hear that you find LucidLink's file transfer seamless and quick, and that it has improved your productivity.

 ### 16. Unwavering Performance and Seamless MacOS Integration for Video Editing

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Luciano G. | Photographer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 14, 2026

**What do you like best about LucidLink?**

What truly sets this product apart is its unwavering performance. It seamlessly integrates with MacOS, making it an ideal tool for my video editing work. It facilitates efficient file sharing and fosters a collaborative environment for different projects.

**What do you dislike about LucidLink?**

I can’t think of anything I genuinely dislike about the tool. If I had to suggest one improvement, it would be having more AI integrations for things like file searching, for example. Still, it’s not something I’m particularly anxious to get.

**What problems is LucidLink solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The main problem LucidLink solves perfectly is file and project sharing. As a video editor working at a company with a team of editors, LucidLink has proven to be the perfect tool for this kind of collaborative workflow. We can open other editors’ projects and use their files, all integrated in one platform that also connects seamlessly with our OS of choice.

**Official Response from LucidLink Marketing:**

> Thanks for your kind words, Luciano! We're glad to hear that you're able to easily work with LucidLink for all your video editing work - it sounds like your team is able seamlessly work together regardless of OS. We're constantly working to improve our product and appreciate your feedback about a want for AI-integrated file search.

 ### 17. LucidLink Makes Shared File Management Simple and Organized Across Devices

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Muzammil M. | Founder – Muzammil Graphic | Interior and Graphic Designer | Transforming Spaces and Brands Visually , Graphic Design, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 28, 2026

**What do you like best about LucidLink?**

lucidLink makes it much easier to keep work files in one shared place without making file management feel complicated. I like that I can open the files I need without manually downloading everything first, and the folder structure stays organized even when projects grow. After using it regularly, it has become easier to find and manage files across different devices.

**What do you dislike about LucidLink?**

The experience depends on having a stable internet connection. On slower networks, opening larger files can take a little longer. It also took me some time to understand a few storage and cache settings during the initial setup.

**What problems is LucidLink solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Lucidlink helps reduce the confusion of keeping multiple copies of the same files. Having one shared workspace makes it easier to organize documents and access the latest version whenever needed. It has made file management more consistent and saves time that would otherwise be spent searching for or transferring files.

**Official Response from LucidLink Marketing:**

> We're glad to hear that you find LucidLink easy to use and set up, and that it provides seamless access to large file libraries. We apologize for any inconvenience caused by dropped connections and are continuously working to improve our service reliability.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ishan S. | Manager and Dietician at Chaitanya Homoeo Clinic, Medical Store Owner, Content Creator, Hospital & Health Care, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 29, 2026

**What do you like best about LucidLink?**

I started using it recently. It helps keep files, folders, and work resources easier to access from one shared place without making file handling feel complicated. I work as a Dietician & Nutritionist, manage a homeopathy clinic, and also create health education content for social media, so I regularly work with educational resources, content files, posters, PDFs, health awareness materials, and related documents. The setup process felt straightforward, and I was able to start using it without much technical difficulty. I use LucidLink quite frequently for storing, accessing, and organizing content-related files and educational resources. Filespaces make it easier to keep different types of folders organized, and I like that important files remain available without having to manage multiple copies. It is useful when working with larger content files because I can access what I need without waiting for everything to download first. Performance has also been good during my regular use, and accessing files generally feels smooth even when working with larger folders. Sharing resources and keeping related files together also helps make daily work more efficient. Sharing resources and keeping related files together also helps make daily work more efficient.

Another thing I like is that files remain easier to access across different devices, which is helpful when working on content, educational materials, and clinic-related resources from different locations. Performance has been reliable during my regular use, and file access generally feels smooth. The platform has enough important features for storage, file organization, collaboration, file sharing, and resource management without feeling overly complicated. Integration felt straightforward, and I have not needed customer support often. Overall, LucidLink helps me keep content files, educational resources, documents, and work materials more accessible and better organized during daily work.

**What do you dislike about LucidLink?**

When working with larger folders and content files, access speed can sometimes depend on internet quality. If the connection becomes unstable, opening or loading some resources may take a little longer than usual. I also noticed that understanding cache settings and some filespace-related options took me a little time in the beginning because there are several background settings available.

**What problems is LucidLink solving and how is that benefiting you?**

 ### 19. Accessible File Sharing That Keeps Our Pipeline Smooth

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Seth W. | Production Coordinator, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 02, 2026

**What do you like best about LucidLink?**

I really appreciate how accessible it is for everyone who uses it. It’s made our pipeline much smoother by making it easier to share files across the many jobs we work on.

**What do you dislike about LucidLink?**

Sometimes my connection to a filespace gets really slow, and I end up having to sign out and then sign back in. After I do that, the connection becomes excellent again. I’m not sure whether this is due to my internet or Lucid, but it’s something I’ve been experiencing periodically.

**What problems is LucidLink solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps us deal with the tight timelines on fast-moving projects. We used to rely on Google Drive, but it was too slow for what we needed. Lucid makes the process quicker and lets us work more efficiently.

**Official Response from LucidLink Marketing:**

> We're glad to hear that LucidLink has made your file sharing process smoother and more efficient. We understand that intermittent slow connections can be frustrating, and we are continuously working to improve our service to provide a seamless experience for all users.

 ### 20. LucidLink makes the exchange of large Adobe files fast and uncomplicated

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Broadcast Media | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 15, 2026

**What do you like best about LucidLink?**

We primarily use the application in our marketing department. There, we work very intensively with external agencies and service providers, and this often involves the exchange of large documents or file volumes. These are mainly Adobe files from the software products Photoshop and Premiere Pro; these inherently have a large file size. This is exactly where Lucet Link is very advantageous, because the immediate availability is very practical in everyday life and you can quickly exchange large files regardless of the standard.

**What do you dislike about LucidLink?**

There is a new mode in which even people who do not need to upload documents have the opportunity to download files via a web interface – and all of this is even free. Nevertheless, this mode is still somewhat underdeveloped: It appears sluggish in places and is not optimally designed overall. I see significant potential for optimization here.

**What problems is LucidLink solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We introduced the software because we wanted to be able to share large amounts of documents quickly and intelligently, regardless of location. It was important to us that the whole process is also secure. As a result, we were able to significantly accelerate our processes.

**Official Response from LucidLink Marketing:**

> Thank you for sharing your team's positive experience with LucidLink! We know marketing teams are often running on timely and quick deadlines, so we're thrilled to hear that you're able to efficiently your projects going across multiple locations. We're constantly working on improving each part of the platform, so we appreciate your feedback about the web download experience and will take it back to our product team.

 ### 21. Instant Access Anywhere, Effortless Setup

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Import and Export | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 10, 2026

**What do you like best about LucidLink?**

I use LucidLink to access my files easily, and it lets me open them very quickly. It honestly feels like magic: I click a file and it opens instantly, no matter where I am in the world. I really appreciate both the speed and how simple it is to use, and the initial setup was very straightforward as well. Integration was super easy. The price also feels very competitive.

**What do you dislike about LucidLink?**

I don’t have anything negative to say about it. It’s very easy to set up and use. I haven’t come across any AI/artificial intelligence features yet, and that would be a nice plus to have in the future.

**What problems is LucidLink solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use LucidLink to access my files easily, and it lets me get to them very quickly. It honestly feels like magic, files open instantly no matter where in the world I am (france/China/italy). I really love the speed, and the overall experience is simple and easy to use.

**Official Response from LucidLink Marketing:**

> We're delighted to hear that you find LucidLink so effortless to set up and use! We're hoping that all of our customers are feeling the magic that you do. We hear your interest in AI/artificial intelligence and will keep that feedback in mind for our future updates.

 ### 22. Smart, Reliable Cloud NAS with Desktop-Like Performance and High Scalability

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Joseph F. | C.E.O. / Co-Founder, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 09, 2026

**What do you like best about LucidLink?**

LucidLink is the only cloud storage product we've found with the desktop performance and scalability that our services require. It's a smart, reliable, elegantly designed solution with great support.

**What do you dislike about LucidLink?**

Lucid is limited in bi-directional integration with other storage solutions and can be slow to download or back-up from. It's price point is fine for its more advanced capabilities, but interoperability with outside systems seems a low priority.

**What problems is LucidLink solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It provides a highly-reliable, high-performance cloud NAS that our remote editors can work live from, which fits ClipSocial's business model perfectly. The intelligent design of its caching system allows our remote teams to access, work with and post live content as if it was locally sourced.

**Official Response from LucidLink Marketing:**

> We're glad to hear that you find LucidLink to be a smart, reliable, and high-performance cloud NAS solution that fits your business needs. We appreciate your feedback about the limitations in bi-directional integration and download speed, and we are continuously working to improve these aspects.

 ### 23. Seamless Collaboration Across Timezones

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jess L. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 09, 2026

**What do you like best about LucidLink?**

I like that LucidLink is really easy to use and doesn't waste space on my hard drive with files I’m not using. It keeps the correct version of files as the one in use, which is super convenient for collaboration across my team. It's great that we don’t lose any files because the team works directly off the LucidLink server, so if someone is off sick, we can pick up right where they left off. I also appreciate how quick the file syncing is. Using it on Apple devices is a breeze because it's as easy as opening Finder, and the server is right there, allowing access to everything we need like it’s saved on our computer. I love that it syncs with other systems, automatically adding and archiving files when needed. It makes file management straightforward, storing everything relevant to our projects, and it's easy to find what I'm looking for.

**What do you dislike about LucidLink?**

Users can't reset their own passwords, which can cause delays if our admin is offline and someone can't log in. We occasionally encounter issues with buffering/playback speeds when working with really big files, although I think that's more an internet issue than a LucidLink issue.

**What problems is LucidLink solving and how is that benefiting you?**

LucidLink enables our team to collaborate seamlessly on video editing projects across time zones. It ensures quick file syncing, keeps files organized without version issues, and doesn't waste hard drive space. It's as easy as using Finder and makes finding project-relevant files simple.

**Official Response from LucidLink Marketing:**

> Thank you for sharing your experience with LucidLink. We're glad to hear that our platform is helping your team collaborate effectively and manage files efficiently.

 ### 24. Transforms Remote Collaboration with Seamless Access

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Robert C. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 09, 2026

**What do you like best about LucidLink?**

I really appreciate how LucidLink makes cloud storage practical for active work, not just for backup or file sharing. Working with large project files is so much smoother because I can access the files I need on demand and only the required data is streamed and cached locally. It feels like working with a local drive even though it's cloud-hosted storage. The shared filespace feature is fantastic too, as it eliminates the need for duplicate archives or confusing filenames and greatly simplifies remote collaboration. Everyone can work from the same organized filespace, which makes handoffs, reviews, asset updates, and last minute changes quicker and less stressful. LucidLink fits into my existing workflow seamlessly without the hassle of syncing across devices. The convenience of opening files without downloading entire projects saves me a lot of time, so I can focus more on creating. The initial setup was very easy, just required installing the app, signing in, and selecting the filespace.

**What do you dislike about LucidLink?**

One area that could be improved is the dependence on a strong consistent internet connection. The streaming workflow is very convenient, but performance can naturally suffer on slower or unstable networks, especially with very large media files or when several people are accessing heavy assets at once. The initial setup and understanding of caching can also take a lot of time for new users.

**What problems is LucidLink solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use LucidLink to work with large project files from anywhere without long downloads or constant syncs. It simplifies remote collaboration, reduces duplication and version conflicts, and allows my team to focus more on creation rather than file management.

**Official Response from LucidLink Marketing:**

> We're thrilled to hear that LucidLink has transformed your remote collaboration experience and made working with large project files much smoother. The shared filespace feature is designed to simplify remote collaboration and eliminate the need for duplicate archives or confusing filenames. We understand the importance of a strong internet connection for optimal performance and are continuously working to improve the streaming workflow. Thank you for your feedback!

 ### 25. Finder-Like Interface and Excellent Support from Day One

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Media Production | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 09, 2026

**What do you like best about LucidLink?**

The easy of usage since the interface is just the same as finder as well as they are very good with the support with a welcome call with the team, to explain very clearly step by step how to use the platform, as well as how to navigate each section and understanding of the process, like how the cache works, as well as best practices in general. It is impressive how fast it is to work, you basically think you are working on a local server.

**What do you dislike about LucidLink?**

It has happened only once in more than a year of usage, but if the Lucid Link server is down, then you have to wait before continuing working.

**What problems is LucidLink solving and how is that benefiting you?**

They modified how I can grant access, as well as a better way to understand how many files I have in my cache, it is beneficial to make this process more easy, because it will be easier to on board new team members.

**Official Response from LucidLink Marketing:**

> We appreciate your feedback and are pleased to hear that you find our platform easy to use and our support team helpful. We understand the importance of minimizing server downtime and are continuously working to improve our service. Thank you for your support!

 ### 26. Convenient for Remote Editing but Sluggish with Video Playback

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Steven M. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 09, 2026

**What do you like best about LucidLink?**

I like LucidLink because I can edit from anywhere without having to download or transfer all my files to separate devices. The price was good for the service, making it accessible for anyone as it was not hard to learn. The initial setup was very quick and easy. It works great for photo editing.

**What do you dislike about LucidLink?**

For video it was a different story, at the time when I used it, it was a bit slow. I was on fiber internet on both the original device, and the proxy one, and it still felt a bit laggy at times for editing. Video playback within Adobe Premiere was slow, I would often have to wait for a bar to fill up before I could playback the clips in real time.

**What problems is LucidLink solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I often travel and need to edit across multiple machines. LucidLink gives me the freedom to access all my files anywhere without downloading or transferring them, which is a game changer.

**Official Response from LucidLink Marketing:**

> We're glad to hear that LucidLink has been convenient for your remote editing needs and that you found the initial setup quick and easy. We appreciate your feedback about the sluggish video playback and will take it into consideration for future improvements.

 ### 27. Effortless File Sharing with Room for Improvement

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Radek K. | Senior Brand Designer, Team Leader, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 08, 2026

**What do you like best about LucidLink?**

I like using LucidLink at PepsiCo for exchanging and storing files. It allows our design team to share large and diverse files quickly, which is particularly useful for video production and large project folders. Generating links from Finder is very handy, although it stopped working after our Intune migration. I appreciate that LucidLink eliminates the need for re-sending parts of files, saving a lot of time for the team. It's great that we managed to set up a Single Sign-On with our company profiles, making the experience with LucidLink as frictionless as possible. LucidLink uploads only the changed parts of large files, which saves on transfer times. I find it better than other solutions like Google and Microsoft, and I would rate it a 9 out of 10.

**What do you dislike about LucidLink?**

{"After migrating to Intune on Macs, the option to generate links from Finder stopped working, which is a major pain.","The Connection Quality Meter shows the connection's quality as almost always poor to fair, making people associate LucidLink with low-quality transfers, even though the actual performance is fine.","Our office WiFi initially did not allow connection with LucidLink because the IP address was blocked, and it took a lot of effort with IT to resolve this."}

**What problems is LucidLink solving and how is that benefiting you?**

LucidLink speeds up sharing large files, saving our team time by eliminating the need for re-sending. SSO integration makes access seamless. However, some features like link generation have issues post-Intune migration.

**Official Response from LucidLink Marketing:**

> We're glad to hear that LucidLink has been beneficial for your team at PepsiCo, especially in speeding up file sharing and integrating with Single Sign-On. We apologize for the issues you've experienced post-Intune migration and with the Connection Quality Meter. We're constantly working to improve our service and appreciate your feedback.

 ### 28. Amazing UI and streaming performance, but occasional crashes and server capacity issues

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 07, 2026

**What do you like best about LucidLink?**

UI / UX
There is barely any learning curve because it doesn't have a complex interface. It simply shows up as a standard hard drive in your Finder or Windows Explorer.

Verdict: Outstanding. The best UI is the one you already know how to use.

Integrations
It integrates at the OS level, meaning it works flawlessly with any app. It’s a lifesaver for media creators using Adobe Premiere, DaVinci Resolve, or Final Cut. On the backend, you can hook it up to AWS, Google Cloud, Azure, or use their bundled storage.

Verdict: Perfect for creative workflows.

Performance
Instead of downloading huge files, LucidLink streams only the specific data blocks you need on the fly. You can scrub a 100GB video timeline instantly with zero lag, provided you have decent internet.

Verdict: Black magic. The performance is incredible.

Pricing / ROI
It’s not cheap, and costs can add up per user and per terabyte. However, for post-production houses or agencies, the ROI is massive. You stop paying editors to sit around waiting for files to download.

Verdict: Pricey for solo freelancers, but worth every penny for remote teams.

**What do you dislike about LucidLink?**

sometimes it crashes the server is sometimes full

**What problems is LucidLink solving and how is that benefiting you?**

getting to a lot of files in a quick way

**Official Response from LucidLink Marketing:**

> We're thrilled to hear that you're enjoying LucidLink's UI, integrations, and performance! We apologize for any inconvenience caused by occasional crashes and server capacity issues. Our team is constantly working to improve stability and scalability. We appreciate your feedback and will use it to enhance our service.

 ### 29. Seamless AE File Sync That Keeps Projects Up to Date

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mike B. | Compositing Supervisor, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 13, 2026

**What do you like best about LucidLink?**

It keeps all my AE project files up to date while I’m working on them. I save, and it saves right along with me. I don’t have to worry about downloading a file to work locally, then uploading it again and having to relink files and footage afterward.

**What do you dislike about LucidLink?**

It can sometimes have boot me off the server in the middle of working and the reconnection time isnt terrible but it is an inconvenience.

**What problems is LucidLink solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is helping me to keep access to a central location for all files and footage like a local server would but it is easily accessed and updated by a whole team of artists at once.

**Official Response from LucidLink Marketing:**

> Mike, thank you for sharing your positive experience with LucidLink! We're thrilled to hear that you can rely on LucidLink like a local drive and keep your project files up to date, as we know how frustrating it can be to have a whole team download + reupload large files to work on them. Our support team is available if you are seeing more than expected disconnects.

 ### 30. Seamless Rollout and Real-Time Global Collaboration with LucidLink

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ali H. | Senior Social Monetisation Lead, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 03, 2026

**What do you like best about LucidLink?**

LucidLink was remarkably easy to bring into the company. Rollout was smooth and adoption across teams happened quickly without a lot of friction. What stands out most is how it lets our worldwide team review content and work on the same projects simultaneously. Instead of waiting on file transfers or syncing large media, everyone can access and work with the files instantly as if they were local, even across different time zones. This has made reviewing content and collaborating on projects far faster and more seamless. The training and onboarding were also excellent, which helped the whole team get up to speed and comfortable with the tool right away.

**What do you dislike about LucidLink?**

The main challenge is onboarding on internally secured or locked-down company computers. Because LucidLink needs driver-level access and fairly broad system permissions to mount and stream files, getting it approved and installed on machines with strict security policies can take extra coordination with IT. Once it's set up it works great, but that initial access on secured devices is the trickiest part.

**What problems is LucidLink solving and how is that benefiting you?**

LucidLink solves the problem of collaborating on large files and content across a globally distributed team. Before, working with a worldwide team meant slow file transfers, version confusion, and waiting for large media to sync before anyone could review or contribute. With LucidLink, everyone accesses the same files instantly as if they were stored locally, so our team can review content and work on projects at the same time regardless of location. This has significantly sped up our review cycles and made global collaboration much smoother, saving us time that used to be lost to transfers and coordination.

**Official Response from LucidLink Marketing:**

> We're thrilled to hear that LucidLink has made global collaboration seamless and efficient for your team. We appreciate your feedback and are glad to hear that the rollout and adoption process went smoothly. We understand the challenges with onboarding on secured devices and are constantly working to improve the process. Thank you for sharing your experience!

 ### 31. Remote Editing Made Easy with LucidLink’s Smooth, Magic-Like Streaming

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sam G. | Editing and Production Assistant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 03, 2026

**What do you like best about LucidLink?**

LucidLink allows me to edit remotely from my office space. Pinning proxies ensures smooth playback immediately, while generally - once given an hour or so -, the RAW media will do the same regardless of being pinned or not.

The thing I appreciate about it most is that it does most of the heavy lifting even with a weak broadband strength. The fact that I can upload ProRes files worth multiple GBs and begin using those files in my editing software before it's finished uploading to the Lucid filespace feels like magic.

**What do you dislike about LucidLink?**

Least helpful is that LucidLink disconnects randomly a lot. I'm not sure what the cause of this is. Often times I have to find workarounds to optimise Lucid's function. For instance, I usually export onto an external SSD before then uploading the filespace. It would be handy to be able to export directly to the filespace, but appreciate this may be a tech limitation not impacted by Lucid.

**What problems is LucidLink solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Lucid has enabled us to safely introduce hybrid working. Having all editors work off the same live filespace is a night and day difference from individually working off SSD drives.

**Official Response from LucidLink Marketing:**

> It's great to hear that LucidLink has enabled hybrid working for your team and improved collaboration by allowing all editors to work off the same live filespace. We appreciate your feedback and will continue to work on optimizing the platform for a seamless editing experience.

 ### 32. Streamlined Our Workflow, Seamlessly Integrated

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Benjamin E. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 03, 2026

**What do you like best about LucidLink?**

I like how easy it is to navigate LucidLink. It’s not a complicated system; it just acts as another drive on your computer. Everyone's surprised when it's installed; they're like, 'Oh, that's it!' It functions normally, with flexibility, especially the pinning options, which has reduced our faffing time significantly. I appreciate that it's so intuitive, meaning anyone at any level can pick it up quickly. You don't have to deal with complicated apps, dashboards, or interfaces—just click and go. I love that content can be accessed instantly via a link, with no learning curve involved.

**What do you dislike about LucidLink?**

Occasionally, if your WiFi is not the strongest, you will feel it when you're editing, there will be a bit of a judder. You sort of have to rechange the amount you can pin if needed. Sometimes, if you're opening a project for the first time, you have to give it a bit of a pause to let it understand it all. The internet can be an issue, and it can be slow because of that. but it's not a deal breaker and Lucid has solutions to this issue already.

**What problems is LucidLink solving and how is that benefiting you?**

LucidLink solves workflow issues by preventing the need to hunt for footage or share hard drives. It's seamless for global collaboration, easy to add freelancers, and integrates smoothly from camera to editing to film delivery.

**Official Response from LucidLink Marketing:**

> Thank you for sharing your positive experience with LucidLink! We're glad to hear that the intuitive nature of the platform and the instant access to content have been beneficial for your workflow. We understand the impact of WiFi strength on editing and are committed to addressing such challenges to ensure a smoother experience for all users. We appreciate your feedback and are constantly working to improve the platform.

**What do you like best about LucidLink?**

I like that with LucidLink, I'm able to work with a virtual team without having to physically provide any files or wait for files to upload and download. It specifically helps the end users because it really saves a lot of time with that feature.

**What do you dislike about LucidLink?**

I've had some feedback from my team about lagging connection or delays when streaming data, which makes it hard to tell the quality without indicators. It's kind of delayed some projects since we ended up downloading the whole thing because streaming isn't always consistent. Additionally, the initial setup was a little bit more than a simple three-click process when trying to include my NAS for local storage, which was more technical than I expected.

**What problems is LucidLink solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use LucidLink for project and file management. It allows me to work with a virtual team without needing to provide files physically, and I save a lot of time without waiting for uploads and downloads.

**Official Response from LucidLink Marketing:**

> Thank you for sharing your experience with LucidLink. We're glad to hear that the virtual team collaboration feature has been helpful for you. We apologize for the streaming quality issues and the technical setup process. We are constantly working to improve our service and will take your feedback into consideration for future updates.

 ### 34. Effortless Footage Sharing and Cloud-Synced .prproj Files

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Media Production | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 02, 2026

**What do you like best about LucidLink?**

It is incredible to be able to share footage anywhere with anyone, and most importantly to be able to have the cache feature which enables keeping .prproj files in the cloud, in order to ensure constant syncing and no regard for having to remind or worry about possibly uploading project files for sharing. It minimizes someone working off of the wrong project, saving not only time but relationships, trust and affordability.

**What do you dislike about LucidLink?**

It does not show deleted footage immediately, causing billing issues when we need to close down a file space but can't because of the footage, and then forgetting about it we are billed again the next billing cycle.

**What problems is LucidLink solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is solving two problems. First it is solving the problem of having the upload footage to slower platforms like Google Drive or Drop Box or even having to ship a drive which is an awkward workflow. Second it is solving the problem or ensuring that all parties have the same and most up to date files.

**Official Response from LucidLink Marketing:**

> We're thrilled to hear that you are enjoying the effortless footage sharing and cloud-synced .prproj files with LucidLink. The cache feature is indeed a game-changer for ensuring constant syncing and seamless collaboration.

 ### 35. Essential, Versatile, But Pricey

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** David H. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 02, 2026

**What do you like best about LucidLink?**

I use LucidLink for multiple companies that I freelance for and do engineering for. It solves the problem of file path translation, which is huge for us, especially since we use Linux boxes. Supporting Linux is a big deal because many competitors don't, and that leaves out critical artists. The simplicity of installation on Linux, Windows, and MacOS is fantastic, and it's super easy to add members to the team and give them access to the media they need. LucidLink helps immensely, with its app being cleanly laid out and easy to teach new people how to use. Additionally, uptime and reliability have been excellent.

**What do you dislike about LucidLink?**

A few things I would work on moving forward. 1. A better UI for handling where and how media is cached locally. Adding additional cache locations to handle increased workload. Most artists get very confused about it, and we could make it handier. Caching works great, but maybe just have it a little easier to have the artist deal with it. 2. Expose everything possible to the command line so tools like Claude code can adjust and work with LucidLink. I use Claude code and LucidLink a lot, there are a few things I ask it to do that it can't. Push all your cards towards allowing them to work together. I guess if I had a complaint. Price would be it. With the current situation with AI eating all supplies, and the cost of the service ever growing, I think we are going to hit an inflection point where we have to weigh the value of going back into owning our own storage.

**What problems is LucidLink solving and how is that benefiting you?**

LucidLink makes it super easy to add team members and gives everyone the same view of media. Supporting Linux solves file path issues across systems, making it invaluable. Simple installation across OS platforms, especially Linux support, is a big advantage.

**Official Response from LucidLink Marketing:**

> We appreciate your positive feedback on LucidLink's support for Linux and its ease of use across different operating systems. Thank you for sharing your suggestions for improving the UI and command line integration. We understand your concerns about pricing, and we continuously strive to provide competitive pricing while delivering high-quality service. Your input is valuable to us, and we will take it into account as we continue to enhance our offerings. Thank you for choosing LucidLink for your storage needs.

 ### 36. The Remote Editing Backbone of Our Documentary Team

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Entertainment | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 02, 2026

**What do you like best about LucidLink?**

Lucid Link has allowed our documentary film company to store terabytes of raw footage in the cloud to enable our team to edit long-format, educational programs with multiple-episode seasons all remotely.

We are able to integrate into premiere pro seamlessly, the pricing is fair considering we could not operate with the team we have without it.

Our company believes strongly in developing raw talent. Many of our assistant editors are very young and either recently out of college and others have a high school degree or working on their GED.

Lucid Link is so simple to use that onboarding these individuals is a breeze.

Performance-wise, it has never failed us, and it has provided us with the operational backbone to be flexible with our workforce.

**What do you dislike about LucidLink?**

Hard to think of anything we dislike about Lucid Link.

**What problems is LucidLink solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have a unique story to tell about how Lucid Link inadvertantly became my emotional rock during and extremely challenging time.

I have never felt this strongly about a piece of software but hear me out.

Our documentary film company had downsized during the pandemic and I took the opportunity to move closer to my aging parents and get rid of our office space.

I got an incredible opportunity to produce 2 long form, multi episode educational series documentary programs and because I discovered Lucid Link I was able to take on those projects, hire a remote team and begin the productions.

Then, my father went into critical condition. He was in the hospital immobilized for 4 months before he passed away. My mothers health declined rapidly and she passed 13 weeks later.

Lucid Link was there for me during all of this.

I was able to literally turn my father's hospital room into my editing station and continue to review edits from my remote editing team by jumping into the projects and giving them direction over zoom calls. (I did have to get a dedicated hotspot and pin footage- but still!)

More importantly, I was able to spend 14 hours a day being by my parents' side during their final days and still have the ability to do what I love to do and find occasional solace, to work on a project while they slept or I was in a waiting room to take my mind off of everything our family was facing during that time.

So believe me when I say, I owe Lucid Link a Big Hug and a debt of sincere gratitude for providing me and my team with such a resource during a truly difficult time.

I often describe Lucid Link as enabling Premiere Productions to be like "Google Docs" for editing video in the cloud.

**Official Response from LucidLink Marketing:**

> Thank you so much for sharing this — truly. We're deeply sorry for the loss of your parents, and honored that LucidLink could be there in even a small way during such an unimaginably difficult time. Being able to stay close to your family while still supporting your team and your work meant everything to us to read.
We're also grateful for how you've used LucidLink to build up young, emerging talent in the industry — that mission matters a lot to us too. Hearing that it made onboarding easy for editors just starting their careers, while still holding up for demanding multi-season documentary work, is exactly the kind of impact we hope to have.
Thank you for trusting us with your workflow, and for taking the time to share something so personal. We're wishing you and your family continued strength.

 ### 37. Centralized EU Storage with Seamless Access, Needs Better Localization

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Michael L. | Multi-Branch Talent Library & Compliance Reporting Specialist, Staffing and Recruiting, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 02, 2026

**What do you like best about LucidLink?**

The mapped local-drive experience paired with fully EU-resident storage is its biggest strength. Our old cloud solution required waiting minutes to pull large candidate CV bundles, but LucidLink loads files instantly for every regional branch recruiter. I rely heavily on its granular folder permissions to separate applicant data by office and seniority level, preventing junior staff from accessing sensitive candidate records. Real-time cross-location sync ensures consent forms and temp contracts stay up to date across Frankfurt, Cologne and Munich, cutting hours off my year-end GDPR audit compilation work.

**What do you dislike about LucidLink?**

There is no official German interface, and there are zero pre-built folder structures designed for German staffing GDPR archiving standards. I cannot batch-tag hundreds of candidate files with consent expiry timelines; every entry must be edited individually. There is no native connection to our recruitment ATS, forcing duplicate uploads of all new applicant paperwork. The default access audit logs are too generic and cannot be exported in the format local labor inspectors require. There are also no automated reminders for expiring data consent, so I have to manually cross-check thousands of files ahead of annual audits. Training non-English speaking branch recruiters also dragged out our full workflow rollout significantly.

**What problems is LucidLink solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before implementation, each regional branch stored candidate paperwork on isolated local servers plus an overseas cloud platform, which exposed us to severe GDPR data residency violations. LucidLink consolidates all talent documents inside EU servers in one unified workspace. I can partition sensitive applicant data via targeted folder permissions, and live cross-office file sync removes record discrepancies between locations, drastically streamlining all my GDPR and labor law audit preparation tasks.

**Official Response from LucidLink Marketing:**

> Thank you for sharing your positive experience with LucidLink! We're glad to hear that the mapped local-drive experience and EU-resident storage have been beneficial for your regional branch recruiters. We appreciate your feedback about the need for better localization and will definitely take it into consideration for future improvements.

 ### 38. Instant Media Access and Seamless Integration for Onsite or Remote Workflows

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Media Production | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 30, 2026

**What do you like best about LucidLink?**

I love having the media for a project so quickly accessible without having to wait for downloads. Everything just works so seamlessly with the editing systems and tools we use. In our workflow, it also allows us to seamlessly work on site or remotely depending on our own needs and schedules.

**What do you dislike about LucidLink?**

There's not much to dislike - every now any then something is slow to download for no easily apparent reason, but that happens rarely. The only other possible downside is the price, but so far the price has met our needs well enough

**What problems is LucidLink solving and how is that benefiting you?**

LucidLink helps us in many ways, allowing for remote editing in an almost "on site" feel. When we're working remotely, one of us exports a file and its immediately available to everyone who has access.

It's also facilitated working around some difficult fast turnaround schedules without having to keep a night shift on site, or risk having personnel driving home after a late night edit.

Incidentally it also works as just extra additional short term storage if we've misestimated the size of a shoot.

**Official Response from LucidLink Marketing:**

> Thank you for sharing your positive experience with LucidLink! We're glad to hear that the quick accessibility and seamless integration have been beneficial for your workflow. We understand your concerns about occasional slow downloads and pricing, and we appreciate your feedback. We're pleased to know that LucidLink is helping you with remote editing and facilitating fast turnaround schedules. We appreciate your support!

 ### 39. Seamless Cloud Editing

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 08, 2025

**What do you like best about LucidLink?**

It helps me expand my team across the United States and get more work done more efficiently without having to wait for file transfers. I don't have to upload footage and wait for the editors to download them, it's all ready to go in the cloud and they can just access the project files. I like how seamless it is and how it's natively integrated into Premiere, which makes it really efficient for our team. The snapshot feature is nice. Setup was pretty straightforward, the website's helpful, and the customer support is pretty responsive and always there to help. I got the Premiere plugin and everything seemed straightforward and easy enough to get started, with no friction points that I remember. I use it with After Effects, Premiere Pro, and Illustrator.

**What do you dislike about LucidLink?**

{"I think the user panel could be a little bit, you know, more user friendly.","I think adding team members to the group could be better.","Just understanding how the data is being used. I had, you know, the snapshot feature is nice, but it can be confusing.","I did not realize my snapshot was holding over 1.5 terabytes of storage.","Even though I only had 200 gigabytes of storage in my LucidLink server, I was being charged overages because I wasn't aware of the snapshot issue.","For onboarding, I had issues where the members had to sign in and out, or granted permissions didn't always work instantaneously and needed some refreshing or updates."}

**What problems is LucidLink solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps me expand my team across the US and get more work done efficiently without waiting for file transfers. I don't have to upload footage and wait for editors to download them, it's all ready in the cloud so they can just access the project files.

**Official Response from LucidLink Marketing:**

> We're thrilled to hear that LucidLink has simplified your remote video editing process and made it effortless for you. Thank you for sharing your positive experience!

 ### 40. Great for Organization, But Pricing Held Us Back

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Andres s. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 04, 2026

**What do you like best about LucidLink?**

I used LucidLink for organization purposes, mainly keeping everything in an orderly manner, which was a priority for me. It was easy to set up specific drives for any categories of information I needed. It's essentially like a Google Drive, but a more exclusive Google Drive for your organization. If I needed to keep different files within one category as opposed to another, I could do that. With Google Drive you can sort of do the same thing, but things inevitably get disorganized. Having it all under one specific hub is where I believe there's a strength within LucidLink. The initial setup was very easy.

**What do you dislike about LucidLink?**

{"I believe the pricing structure, that was kind of the big differentiating factor.","To be honest, I wasn't able to use it much when I had it.","We switched back to Google mainly because of the pricing differentiating factor.","With Google, pricing is basically free under Google or, like, at a lower cost."}

**What problems is LucidLink solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I used LucidLink for organization, keeping everything in an orderly manner. It made it easy to create specific drives for any categories of information I needed. It's like a more exclusive Google Drive for your organization, keeping things under one hub instead of getting disorganized.

**Official Response from Teodora Baldzhieva:**

> We're glad to hear that you find our dashboard user-friendly and the initial setup simple. We understand your concerns about pricing and are constantly working to provide the best value for our customers.

 ### 41. Better Performance and Work From Anywhere

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** brent.morris@widseth.com M. | IT Manager, Associate, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 30, 2026

**What do you like best about LucidLink?**

What I like most about LucidLink is probably the performance. I also like that we can work anywhere with an internet connection. We use it to store all of our files, and we get better performance with it. The initial setup was really easy for our team, and the migration from Nasuni went well.

**What do you dislike about LucidLink?**

There’s nothing I can think of at this time.

**What problems is LucidLink solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use LucidLink to store all of our files, and it has given us better performance overall. With 13 offices and 300 employees, we can share work from anywhere, and our team can work from any location as long as they have an internet connection.

**Official Response from LucidLink Marketing:**

> We're thrilled to hear that you are enjoying the performance and flexibility of LucidLink! We appreciate your feedback and are glad to hear that the initial setup and migration went smoothly for your team.

 ### 42. Well-Organized Remote Archive That Simplifies Our Work

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ita Aroa T. | Senior Video Editor, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 30, 2026

**What do you like best about LucidLink?**

It gives our team the ability to have a well-organized and extensive archive that we can access remotely; this makes our work much easier and allows us to carefully store important material

**What do you dislike about LucidLink?**

We can't access two Lucid Link accounts at the same time. Sometimes we need to cross-reference information between the client and the company, but they have their own Lucid Link account and we have ours. Having to log out, log back in just to select what we need, and then log back into the main account wastes valuable project development time

**What problems is LucidLink solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Access to files—not having to rely on the hard drive capacity of the team members—is wonderful

**Official Response from LucidLink Marketing:**

> We're glad to hear that LucidLink is helping to simplify your work and provide remote access to a well-organized archive.

 ### 43. Easy-to-Use Cloud File Sharing That Fits Seamlessly Into Our Workflow

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Media Production | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 07, 2026

**What do you like best about LucidLink?**

I like that LucidLink is easy to use. It has allowed my team, with varying levels of technical expertise, to share files and work in the cloud. It also integrates easily into our everyday systems.

**What do you dislike about LucidLink?**

Some parts feel a little clunky and have a bigger learning curve to use, but once you learn the system it seems easy enough. Sometimes it goes offline when it should be connected. There are a lot of updates, which ultimatley is a good thing, but it also feels like there’s constantly a new one.

**What problems is LucidLink solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are a small video team who often works remotely, LucidLink has allowed us to work as if things are saved on a local drive-- one person can film and easily share files for another person to edit. It is so much easier than using dropbox or googledrive, files are transfered fast.

The multi-platform compatibility is flawless, allowing seamless integration with my editing tools, such as CapCut. The initial setup was very easy, which was a huge plus.

**What do you dislike about LucidLink?**

There’s not much I dislike. Occasionally, there are slight delays when uploading, but it’s very rare.

**What problems is LucidLink solving and how is that benefiting you?**

LucidLink helps me get files to my team quickly, with fast uploads and flawless multi-platform compatibility. It's an improvement from Google Drive, where uploads were slow and storage was an issue.

 ### 46. Simple and clean setup

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Motion Pictures and Film | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 18, 2025

**What do you like best about LucidLink?**

I use LucidLink for file sharing in our video production studio. It makes it easy for collaborative files and databases that we use to stay in sync without conflicts between our team, working across multiple devices and offices. Once it's been set up, it is super simple to use, the service runs in the background, and starts up automatically with our Macs. Mounting like a drive and not requiring any kind of maintenance from the team is crucial for us. It's also fun to see a drive mounted with free space measured in petabytes!

**What do you dislike about LucidLink?**

I found user management was a little bit of a pain—setting up new users with the right permissions was tricky at first.

**What problems is LucidLink solving and how is that benefiting you?**

LucidLink makes it easy for our collaborative files and databases to stay in sync without conflicts between our team working across multiple devices and offices.

**Official Response from LucidLink Marketing:**

> We're glad to hear that you found the onboarding process seamless and simple. We appreciate your feedback about the transition information and will work on improving that for a better user experience.

 ### 47. Ideal for Multi-Platform Team Projects

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** David R. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 02, 2026

**What do you like best about LucidLink?**

I find LucidLink easy to use, which is great. It's really helpful for cross-platform and multi-person editing projects, and I don't need to grant access to my personal storage anymore. Plus, it works seamlessly for different platforms, which means everyone on my team can use it without a hitch. I think it's the best software for working on long-term, multi-person projects. The initial setup was super easy, although getting other team members up to speed took a bit of effort.

**What do you dislike about LucidLink?**

It has the possibility of getting pretty expensive if I need a lot of storage space and it would be nice if it had some 'in house' production tools like an editing suite.

**What problems is LucidLink solving and how is that benefiting you?**

LucidLink eliminates the need to share personal storage in my team, supports cross-platform collaboration, and is ideal for long-term, multi-person projects due to its ease of use.

**Official Response from LucidLink Marketing:**

> We're pleased to hear that LucidLink has made cross-platform collaboration easier for your team. We appreciate your feedback regarding the cost of storage and the desire for in-house production tools. Your input is important to us as we strive to improve our service, and we will consider your suggestions for future developments.

 ### 48. Excellent tool for Video Collaboration, Minor Hiccups

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** David B. | Freelance Video Editor, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 10, 2026

**What do you like best about LucidLink?**

I like that with LucidLink, video editing files are in the cloud, so I don't need to carry a hard drive or upgrade my internal storage space. It's super convenient because all I need is internet access, and I can work anytime, anywhere. The ability to send destination links to collaborators is also a big plus for me as it makes sharing fast and easy. Also, the initial setup was pretty fast and easy, which was a relief.

**What do you dislike about LucidLink?**

The slow loading of thumbnails, and there are a couple of instances where saved project files were lost but remembering saving them.

**What problems is LucidLink solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I find LucidLink saves storage space, makes sharing files and passing projects to teammates easy, allows access to files in the cloud without extra storage, and offers quick and easy collaboration with just an internet connection.

**Official Response from LucidLink Marketing:**

 ### 49. Effortless One-Click Shared Drive for Smooth Team File Sharing

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Adrian O. | Asistente de Edición, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 13, 2026

**What do you like best about LucidLink?**

I love how easy it is to share files with my team making it so easy to work the same project. It's just one click to mount the shared drive and then the rest is up to us.

**What do you dislike about LucidLink?**

We’ve noticed that after leaving our mounted drive open for a while, the connection quality drops from excellent to poor.

**What problems is LucidLink solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Definitely the interconnectivity between computers. Before Lucidlink, we were using Google Drive, and we had to download everything at really bad speeds. On top of that, we couldn’t keep things readily at hand the way Lucidlink lets us.

**Official Response from LucidLink Marketing:**

> We appreciate your feedback and are pleased to hear that LucidLink has improved your team's file sharing experience. We apologize for the inconvenience caused by the connection quality dropping and assure you that we are working to enhance our service.

 ### 50. Seamless File Sharing with Real-Time Collaboration

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed Date:** July 06, 2026

**What do you like best about LucidLink?**

I really love that LucidLink is an easy-to-use application. All the files are in real time, making it straightforward to access and share updates. The software updates are easy to manage, and setting up a cache location is simple and incredibly useful for freeing up space on my computer. I also find it easy to share files with my coworkers and even with myself, as I can store them and save the links easily.

**What do you dislike about LucidLink?**

Sometimes the speed at which files load can be slow, and while I understand that can depend on internet speed, it could be better. It would also be nice to have a place where we can preview files online.

**What problems is LucidLink solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use LucidLink for real-time file updates and easy sharing, which help my agency stay organized and ensure everyone accesses the most up-to-date files.

**Official Response from LucidLink Marketing:**

> Thank you for sharing your positive experience with LucidLink. We're thrilled to hear that the real-time file updates and easy sharing have been beneficial for your agency.
