Really great syncing technology that lets us edit 4k footage from the cloud. Far less time required than if you'd have to download the entire file like most services require you to do. Also - the options to create backups on our own schedule is essential. We've basically replaced our on-site NAS with LucidLink.

For us, LucidLink is working as advertised. It has eliminated time consuming file transfers. We're working remotely and at our studio in a truly collaborative environment. We've tied in clients so that they have immediate and up to date access to our deliverables. Perhaps most exciting is that LucidLink has increased our capacity for working within the constraints of tight turnarounds and deadlines as we are right now in the process of bringing freelancers onboard from a different continent to help with an upcoming scheduling crunch. This is something that we had no experience with or the inclination to even attempt before LucidLink. The final positive note would have to be how much time it's freed up - I no longer need to setup, maintain or troubleshoot a local storage array. At this time there are a couple of quality of life improvements that we'd like to see. These are an indication of how much time is estimated to be remaining when you pin files/folders to your local cache. Would also like to see an estimated time remaining when files are uploading. For Editing performance, you use the IBM storage- the marketing isn't clear, and so many think just "any cloud bucket will work". It can sit anywhere, but is only performant on specific storage under it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

LucidLink's seamless integration with the operating system, granular permissions and high performance make it very easy to share documents internally. The fact that it works just like any other share without forcing us into a proprietary and hard to use interface like many other systems make it very attractive to our team. The most helpful thing about lucidlink is its ability to provide data access from anywhere worldwide without being slow. We can deploy lucidlink and stop worrying about how users across the globe are going to access the data. Accessing cloud data becomes as easy as mounting a drive on the client machine. For a beginner, it is a bit complex to work on lucidlink and get the most out of it. The process should be simplified for beginners by providing more documents and helping guide users, but I must say that things are moving in the right direction. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

In my experience using Lucid Link, it's a an incredibly powerful way to instantly make a Premiere Pro project collaborative. I was able to share a Cloud share mount with my team of 3 and we could all be within the same project via bin locking, and updates would be lightning fast. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It'd be nice if Lucid Link also supported Avid Media Composer bin locking out of the box but I realize this has to do with software licensing too. However, if there was an add-on payment feature to enable Avid Workflows, I'd easily pay for it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
