I have a yearly subscription for lucid chart. Lucid is very beneficial to functional consultants to design, architect and present in such a way to the technical consultants in ERP technologies . I regularly use lucid charts for designing SAP user experience screens . i used to share the lucid diagrams to my colleagues to view ,edit, comment . Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
i would like to suggest the lucid team to introduce SAP shapes and icons for better productivity in SAP ERP systems . Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I appreciate how the platform allows multiple users to collaborate and make edits simultaneously. It’s convenient having everything on one page, with features that automatically organize content for a clean layout. I also like the ability to lock elements in place, ensuring they can be moved together without becoming scattered. While I’m still learning how to optimize its features, the platform’s functionality has been very helpful so far. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I have to open Lucid in incognito mode because it doesn’t load properly in standard Google Chrome. Although it works in other browsers, I primarily use Chrome, so this adds inconvenience. Additionally, it’s frustrating to have to manually adjust the font size and color settings every time. Lastly, I think it would be better if only the document creator had the ability to hide or unhide content for better control and organization. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
For the entire time I've been in the Software Development Field, Lucid has been a core component of visualization and collaboration. You can create an initial document, send it to others and work on it with multiple people in real time. I have built lots of High Level System Architecture documents, Database schema, lots of Organigrams and even interactive UI Mockups where you can click on buttons. It is very easy to implement new High level designs, which without Lucid, I'm really not sure if I would be able to share my vision this clearly.
You can create Teams or Folders and add people in them so that you can share and find documents very easily. The folder architecture is great and allows me to organize the documents and design by projects/products. It integrates very well with Entra ID.
I have built our SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) using this platform as well. Easy to then share to everyone.
I had one problem related to my graphics card and a brand new update (boxes were appearing weirdly) they released at one point, contacted their support and they enabled me to turn off the feature flag from the UI for that new feature within hours, and they fixed the problem a few days later for me to use the fonctionnality. Truely a great compagny.
If you aren't using Lucid in 2024/2025, you are definetly missing on something very good. I personnaly use it on a daily basis. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I really like everything about Lucid. There isn't anything that I wish was better.
There are functionnalities which I think could be great to add. I always want to generate Icons using AI for new internal software services to add branding, it could be interesting for the platform to have this built in. Someplace where you tell it "Hey here is what my service is doing, please generate an SVG icon for it and I want to to be related to an eagle." and it would generate icons for you choose where to add it. I think this would be a great addition to a visualization platform like this. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The drag and drop interface is a thing which i like and also multiple user can collaborate in real time for a same diagram, It aslo has pre build templates which makes easy to create a architecture diagram, Also it can integrates with different popular tools like google drive, etc. So these are the things which i liked most in lucid visual collaboration, I use this tool frequently to create architecture diagrams Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
If you are working with no internet access then you cannot fully access lucid ( this can be a limitation ). It should have full offline mode Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I love the fact that it is a very intuitive tool and that multiple people can be working on the same board live, allowing for good collaboration and interactions. I really like that it is up and running from the get go and I feel like it is something that I use not daily but every 2 - 3 days. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I would eally like the option to have "voice" rather than only cha and comments, I know this software is not specificlly built for it but I think this would be greatly appealing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Lucid has become our go-to tool for brainstorming, planning, and organizing ideas. The intuitive interface makes it super easy to create flowcharts, mind maps, and other visuals. I love how it lets multiple team members collaborate in real-time—it's like having a virtual whiteboard that everyone can access from anywhere. The templates are a great starting point, saving us time, and the integrations with other tools like Slack and Google Drive make everything seamless. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Nothing major, but having more out-of-the-box templates would make it even better. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Lucid is the best application for creating AWS networking/server related diagrams. I find it easy to find all the different AWS icons is a breeze. I frequently use it to create network flow diagrams and using templates makes things so much easier. We've implemented it throughout the company and we have a lot of employees utilizing it. It easily integrates with other applications like Adobe and it easily exports to MS Visio in case there are users that want to view/update it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Learning how to use Lucid took a little while as it's different than Visio. Customizing objects in Lucid was a little tricky but once I got acclimated to the process it was much easier. Other than that I think Lucid is a great product and will continue to use it until something better comes along. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
This program makes it so easy to create process flow charts, especially for BA and Product Owner roles. They have defined objects which represent certain actions/processes and they remain uniform when using the templates.Even root-cause analysis is easily done with this software. I can’t believe I didn’t know about it sooner! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Perhaps the navigation and menu structure. It seems a bit cumbersome. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It's a very interactive platform with several templates, helps making the complex diagrams remarkable easily. It's easy to use and the best part is it's cloud based and anyone can start using immediately. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I didn't came across to any issues so far, it's just very large diagrams can sometimes cause slowness issues. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Where I get value -
1. Easy to find extensive libraries of diagrams and shapes
2. Easy and realtime collaboration between me and my colleagues
3. A good library of tutorials are provided by Lucid where I can understand and learn new concepts
4. Easy to signup and create diagrams of need, I can create a basic flowchart to a complex business diagram
5. Easy to brainstrom ideas using Lucid tool Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Some points that I find as a hinderence when I am using Lucid Chart for personal use -
1. Only 3 diagrams are allowed (which is fine, I can work with it, most tools provide limit of 3 diagrams)
2. Bigger challenge is that only 60 shapes are allowed in one diagram. This is the most important thing that keeps me from using lucid chart for personal use out of office Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
