## Logz.io Reviews
  ### 1. Support for Metrics from Windows Containers in AKS

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Garrard K. | Head of Cloud Platform, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 28, 2022

**What do you like best about Logz.io?**

A huge shout out to the team at Logz.io for making this happen ... shipping metrics from Windows containers running on AKS. Yes, I said Windows containers!!! So, if you have both Linux and Windows workloads, you get cpu, ram and network io visibility in Logz.io. Outstanding!

Previous to this, they made it possible to surface logs from Windows containers too by shipping logs from the Windows Nodes negating the need for sidecars, logging agents or pushing directly from your apps.

If you want your ELK stack as a managed service (reducing the cost of in-house dedicated infra as well as removing the maintenance overhead, freeing up Engineers' time to focus on your core business) with a level of support which will simply blow your mind, then reach out to Logz.io.

#logzio #elkstack #windowscontainers #aks #azure

**What do you dislike about Logz.io?**

--------------------------------------------------

**What problems is Logz.io solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Logging and metrics from Windows Containers in AKS

  ### 2. Logz.io a complete tool for monitoring

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Fathimath S. | Graduate Engineer Trainee, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 10, 2022

**What do you like best about Logz.io?**

Filters, dashboard feature with filters which helps in visualization of different Use cases

**What do you dislike about Logz.io?**

Some bugs like TSVB,response time is little low.

**Recommendations to others considering Logz.io:**

Its a great tool to centralize your logs in a place. its a great investment

**What problems is Logz.io solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Monitoring logs, metrics, visualising these logs and also the volume and retention period is very impressive

  ### 3. Excellent Hosted ELK Stack

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Clay R. | Senior Software Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 17, 2021

**What do you like best about Logz.io?**

Logz.io provides a varity of different ways to ship your logs. They have log shipping options in the form of SDKs, log shipping daeoms, and cloud integrations, particularly with AWS. These optios are very robust and make it pretty easy to leverage Logz.io with your application. They documentation is also very helpful and does a good job clearing up any confusion or uncertainty. They've also release a limited Terraform provider for their platform which is super helpful if you are leveraging Terraform for any of your cloud resources. They support staff are top notch and get back to you very quickly. They have builtin parsers for many popular applications such as Nginx or MySQL which saves you the work of having to build a parser yourself.

**What do you dislike about Logz.io?**

While Logz.io has very competitive pricing, it required you to purchase average daily log volume. If you exceed that log volume for a 24 hour period, you are unable to ingest anymore logs for the remainder of that 24 hour period. I would much rather pay for log volume on a continous usage or just pay an addition amount for the excess log volume. I feel like most users wouldn't be happy with having a tempoarary loss of logging.

**Recommendations to others considering Logz.io:**

I would check their documentation and see what SDKs and application integrations they provide. Changes are they provide a method for shipping logs that is compatiable with your current use case. They are pretty easy to get up and running with.

**What problems is Logz.io solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I using Logz.io for application logging of a micro-service platform. It makes logging and monitoring containerized applications very easy. This has been vital for both rutine operations and for debugging during development activities.

  ### 4. Great partner for shipping your log statements

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jan V. | Scrum Master, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 02, 2020

**What do you like best about Logz.io?**

I really love the fact that the first line support is quick. Whenever I ask them a question (any time a day), I get a response within the 5 minutes. And I do get the feeling that the first line support is also really capable of answering your questions.

The second part I believe is a real good thing in a partner ship is that they are flexible in there quota. If you request more quota for a day (beforehand) or if you hit your quota and you need more at that moment (retro active).

They also integrated the great ELK stack with some extra features like alerts, ...

**What do you dislike about Logz.io?**

It is difficult to find a real downside.

**What problems is Logz.io solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Centralizing your logs from different applications is so valuable. One place to find them all is key.
Adding this with the dasbhoards and alerts then you have a solution in trouble shooting.

  ### 5. Fair features for the price

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 13, 2021

**What do you like best about Logz.io?**

Logz.io is a reliable and affordable hosted ELK stack. It stays very true to stock Kibana and also offers managed Grafana. The SDKs are fault-tolerant (unlike other hosted ELK solutions) and I have never had an issue with not being able to ingest or view logs. The pricing is extremely competitive for all the features included, and is hard to beat without sacrificing reliability.

**What do you dislike about Logz.io?**

The alert timings are not as flexible as I would like. Other logging platforms can provide alerts in 1 minute; however, Logz.io offers an alert minimum of 5 minutes. This can make it a requirement to use another platform for faster alerting on time-sensitive applications (for example, Sentry.io or an in-house solution). I also would like the ability to add my own data sources to the hosted Grafana instance, however this is not as big of a deal for me as the alert timings are.

**Recommendations to others considering Logz.io:**

Ensure that you can deal with up to 5 minutes of not being notified of errors or have a side-channel for urgent issues to be resolved.

**What problems is Logz.io solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Logz.io solves needing to check multiple log files across various servers. It is a great way to consolidate logs from applications in different languages, as well as OS logs on host machines. It is a great audit trail and can archive logs to Amazon S3 for compliance purposes. Logz.io also offers features to help track down a request's process across various microservices, helping debug issues that may arise there.

  ### 6. Logz - User friendly SIEM solution

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 11, 2022

**What do you like best about Logz.io?**

Logz.io provides a VERY user-friendly interface for the Elastic stack. Logz.io manages all the complicated parts of using the Elastic stack and provides just the essential features, less managing a SIEM.

**What do you dislike about Logz.io?**

The pricing is a bit high for what you get. Storage is costly and has not changed as things get more affordable. The Elastic components (Beats) could be easier to deploy via pre-packaged installers.

**What problems is Logz.io solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Logz.io is solving the problem of not having to manage a SIEM. Logz.io contains the backend while creating an easy-to-use interface to store and view logs. Dashboards make it easy to view data.

  ### 7. Very good sulotion to complicate problem

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 25, 2020

**What do you like best about Logz.io?**

The product's Usability is greate. You can find what you need easily and performance is also ok even in big queries

**What do you dislike about Logz.io?**

Insights tab should be improved.
Improve performance is always nice

**Recommendations to others considering Logz.io:**

Go for it. Will solve you many problems

**What problems is Logz.io solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Investigating bugs on customers' servers
Get alerts that helps me to find issues before customer does

  ### 8. Great partner for monitoring

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Games | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**What do you like best about Logz.io?**

- Use open-source technologies
- Quick and efficient support (tickets are meanly solved in less than 30 min)
- Platform stable

**What do you dislike about Logz.io?**

Nothing specific, just keep improving the platform!

**What problems is Logz.io solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Logzio is our observability platform. It helps us to monitor and debug any issues very easily and quickly.

  ### 9. The best of ELK and then some

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Justin S. | DevOps Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 26, 2020

**What do you like best about Logz.io?**

It's simple to get started. I mean, standing up ELK on your own isn't all that difficult, but when you're responsible for wearing as many hats as I am, being able to go from day one is great. Not only is everything ready to go, but my Logz rep is ready and willing to help me get started with personalized instructions. They've even added Prometheus support and made it a first-class citizen.

**What do you dislike about Logz.io?**

I wish the Prometheus section came with more templates.

**What problems is Logz.io solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Server log analytics and monitoring. We've gained greater awareness of problems in our IT infrastructure.

  ### 12. solid and easy to use solution

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Shai K. | IT & DevOps manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**What do you like best about Logz.io?**

the fast ability to grow from 10 to 1000 services + and filtering information.

**What do you dislike about Logz.io?**

That the patterns are not good enough to the the full pitcher

**What problems is Logz.io solving and how is that benefiting you?**

to have the ability to have full view on the logs system and to drill down to the root cause

  ### 13. Parsing setup

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Telecommunications | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 25, 2020

I worked with Justin and he was very patient when explaining how it worked and how to setup the parsing requests.

**What do you dislike about Logz.io?**

I have no dislikes at this timed..................

Trying to make things easier for my team to search for error logs, this helps streamline the support process.

  ### 14. Really comfortable application, makes working processes easier and faster.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Artem G. | QA Lead, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 18, 2020

**What do you like best about Logz.io?**

Easy search. Good work with filters. Alerts.

**What do you dislike about Logz.io?**

Parsing sometimes work not really well. But it's quite rare case.

**Recommendations to others considering Logz.io:**

Worth to try it.

**What problems is Logz.io solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Watching for needed events. Configured email alerts - no need to check the service each time.

  ### 15. Centralized logging for microservices

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Insurance | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 25, 2020

**What do you like best about Logz.io?**

Easy interface, easy to set up and configure. Makes sifting through millions of logs feasible.
Uptime in the 3 years I have used it has been great.
Alerts are easy to define and integrate with other services such as Slack.
Recently integrated our tracing into the logz.io platform.

**What do you dislike about Logz.io?**

Pretty happy so far, nothing to complain about

**What problems is Logz.io solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Centralized logging for multiple microservices on several tech stacks.
Hosted tracing for our production and staging environments.

  ### 16. Great Tool for Technical SEO Analysis

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dragan B. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 16, 2020

**What do you like best about Logz.io?**

Ease of use and the ability to create all sorts of reports by yourself. You're free to experiment and you can instantly see and use some of the predefined reports inside Logzio. Visualizations (which are the essence of ELK) are definitely one of the most helpful features when analyzing a website's performance. They are particularly helpful with sites that have a lot of pages (more than 100k). Besides visualizations, there are other types of reports such as tables. This is good because you can see exactly which pages are performing good, and which are underperforming. So you can combine visualizations to discover trends and then dig deeper into tables to find out which pages you should optimize to improve visibility on Google. Finally, it's really great to know (and see) how often search engine bots crawl your website so you can optimize your crawl budget. Besides that, you can find out if your website is under any kind of bot attack and take action to prevent it.

**What do you dislike about Logz.io?**

The learning curve is not the same for everyone. It might take you some time to learn some stuff before you can start using this tool. Meaning, if you're unfamiliar with the ELK stack and you have never tried to create a report in Kibana - then you'll need some time to adapt to this way of thinking. Luckily Logz.io's support is pretty good and you can resolve all the issues with their help i.e. they can help you with creating your first reports etc.

**Recommendations to others considering Logz.io:**

If you want to improve your (technical) SEO analysis and take it to another level, then you need this tool.

**What problems is Logz.io solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I'm using it for server log analysis, primarily for SEO purposes. When you're able to see which pages Google actually visits on your website and how often - this is like the holy grail for any SEO. This makes a huge difference in your everyday tasks and decision making. You'll make better decisions when it comes to internal linking for instance.

  ### 17. Logz.io helped us to centralize all Cybersecurity monitoring

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rafael A. | DevSecOps, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 11, 2021

**What do you like best about Logz.io?**

To be able to use the services of Kibana, Elastic SaaS at a great price.

**What do you dislike about Logz.io?**

Some Bugs on the platform, dashboards and process usability

**What problems is Logz.io solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We don't have to worry about the SIEM infrastructure

  ### 18. A solution to a very complicated problem, that makes life easier

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 04, 2020

**What do you like best about Logz.io?**

the usability, and visibility.
it is very easy to use and gives me value almost every day

**What do you dislike about Logz.io?**

can't think of something specific. i believe every product should try to improve the performance as much as possible

**Recommendations to others considering Logz.io:**

i think this solution is a must for every QA and monitoring team in the organization

**What problems is Logz.io solving and how is that benefiting you?**

investigate bugs on our product. find issues before our customers does it.

  ### 19. I use logz a lot for our project and I find it’s filtering very helpful.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 11, 2021

**What do you like best about Logz.io?**

The filters and the view surrounding logs option

**What do you dislike about Logz.io?**

It would be helpful if there is support for substring match for filtering.
Like saying "caller is like *ABC*" or "caller is not like *ABC*"

**Recommendations to others considering Logz.io:**

Definitely should give it a try, it's very useful in handling logs from many related services.

**What problems is Logz.io solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Mostly for debugging customer issues and finding the logs at the required time stamps etc.

  ### 20. Logz.io - Great service

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 11, 2021

**What do you like best about Logz.io?**

The flexibility of the service, general great engagement of the team and the forward looking roadmap!

**What do you dislike about Logz.io?**

Switching between subaccounts can be tedious with our implementation but that's more our specific usecase than anything that Logz.io can do.

**What problems is Logz.io solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Getting data into the hands of the developers.
Instrumenting relevant application alerts.
Proactively addressing possible system impacting events.

  ### 21. Amazing log visualization tool

**Reviewed Date:** May 11, 2021

**What do you like best about Logz.io?**

I love using the ELK stack but not managing it. Logzio does a great job with that. Their support is stellar and they've built valuable features on top of ELK.

**What do you dislike about Logz.io?**

I can't think of anything. The tool works!

**What problems is Logz.io solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We can visualize the health of our application easily with Logzio. Multiple teams interact with it.

If they improve this, they could guarantee a high performance of user functionality. It's good software, but it could be better.our experience has been good and we have obtained the results we expected, however at the beginning it was a bit confusing to know the usefulness of the tools and functions of this platform. ### 23. Rapidly document and react to fleetwide trends

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Milan S. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 02, 2020

**What do you like best about Logz.io?**

One of the best things about logz is how in depth it allows me to be. If I want to create a simple visual, I can. And anytime I want to create a super complex deep visual, I can also do this. Any time I get stuck I have an instant way to communicate with support. They are immediately responsive, and even get back within a few minutes no matter what timezone or time of night I send a message. The response is realtime chat, so most of my answers can be resolved very soon.

**What do you dislike about Logz.io?**

One of the only downsides are the experimentally powerful features of timeLion which will never become part of a future release. In growing so quickly, Logz puts out undocumented tools which are very good. Super powerful, highly specific. But with no real future or documentation. So I have built exremely in depth visuals, but these may end their life without warning in the near future. The only dislike I have is that testing some experimental features may end in a dead end. TimeLion is one of these tools.

**Recommendations to others considering Logz.io:**

Read and learn everything you can online. Don't be afraid to use experimental technology, as that is the most powerful portion of logz. Use their tech support, they are extremely useful. In fact, if something is not possible with their software, they will tell you right away, so you don't spin wheels trying something which is not possible, you stop and do something else useful with their software.

**What problems is Logz.io solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The main problem is serving massive fleetwide insights to management and users to learn insights long before trends become problems. Logz allows me to pick anomalies and foresee that small blips of issues could become problems, long before the actual problems occur. For example, there was an instance where logs would rapidly accrue, well past our limits while our own tools did not tell us anything was wrong. We were eventually able to find specific cases where lots of issues were being logged, which would flood our logs. This allowed us to hone into the problem area even though we did not know there was a problem.

  ### 24. Centralized logging and application analysis

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 15, 2020

**What do you like best about Logz.io?**

Logz.io is more affordable, less work to maintain, and has more features. It was an easy choice. After my last team had to manage their own ELK stack, this was a no brainer. It helps us be focused on our core competencies.

**What do you dislike about Logz.io?**

The exception message is big and may take up much space in the daily storage. So whenever this type of message has been raised (happens when the information being sent are not being properly stored or passed in the elastic search), I think it would be better to not store them as normal messages.

**What problems is Logz.io solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use logz.io for centralized logging from all production servers. We analyze the data collected by logz.io to fix problems proactively and troubleshoot real-time issues.

  ### 25. Good replacement for home-grown logging systems

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Katherine V. | Technical Lead, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 02, 2020

**What do you like best about Logz.io?**

It's been a great solution for helping us monitor production issues and track events across our infrastructure. What I like best is the high degree of customization available, fast search speed, and not sure I've seen any downtime from them.

**What do you dislike about Logz.io?**

It's been difficult to share links across timezones with our distributed office. The search is a bit non-intuitive and I've had some trouble locating things in the past. No other dislikes! We've also had some good calls with their support team in the past trying to determine solutions to completely replace our homegrown systems with logz.io.

**What problems is Logz.io solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We've had issues using logz.io as a full replacement for logging due to the export functionality capping the number of records you can easily export. Also, the alert triggers haven't been quite customize-able in the past to support all of our logging needs for production monitoring.

  ### 26. Great software! Easy to use! Powerfull when needed! Support staff are very helpfull!

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 17, 2020

**What do you like best about Logz.io?**

It's provides you everything you need in a logging platform. It handles indexing very well and has powerful tools such as Alerts and Dashboards.

It's really nice to be able to define custom alerts based on log patterns.

You can also enjoy creating dashboards from the logs collected and then share them with external people using shared tokens.

**What do you dislike about Logz.io?**

When using it in a big organization with multiple products and external teams it's not always the easiest to manage access. You can get away with it by having accounts to manage sub-accounts.

**Recommendations to others considering Logz.io:**

It's not worth managing your own ELK stack. Logz.io does it really well and is affordable.

**What problems is Logz.io solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Debugging the application and creating meaningful dashboards and alerts (monitoring) to help me sleep at night.

**What do you dislike about Logz.io?**

I tried to find some things that I dislike, but I don't remember any

**Recommendations to others considering Logz.io:**

It's easy to use, has all what you need for logging, debugging, alerts tracking, etc.

**What problems is Logz.io solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Debugging

  ### 29. Good hosted ELK solution

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Erez L. | VP of R&D, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 02, 2020

**What do you like best about Logz.io?**

I don't have to deal with managing my own ELK stack
It enables the elasticity to accommodate extreme scenarios or handle incidents, malfunctions, etc'.
The service by the support team is great.
Upgrades of the ELK stack, and usability and UX enhancements.

**What do you dislike about Logz.io?**

It is not fast enough on large range queries.
I mainly use classic ELK tools. All the rest (insights, time-series, etc') do not seem to gain traction.

**Recommendations to others considering Logz.io:**

Solid solution, great service, keeps your attention where you need it rather than wasting time on tools.

**What problems is Logz.io solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Operational logs.
Massively using it both for defining alerts as well as to troubleshoot and increase visibility into a complex production environment.

  ### 30. Simple and useful

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Bulat S. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 27, 2020

**What do you like best about Logz.io?**

Precise logs filter mechanism, very easy to get to the root of the issue. Search bar for search across all the records. I'm also impressed how it processes large amounts of data in seconds. What I also like is that logs are actually live and when I'm troubleshooting something online I can immediately check if changes took place.

**What do you dislike about Logz.io?**

It's very rare: UI freezes when I have a lot of filters (active and inactive) configured on page, page refresh solves it.
Sometimes system does not recognize that search bar has been cleared and doesn't update live logs. Again, page refresh solves it.

**Recommendations to others considering Logz.io:**

I don't have a lot of other products to compare with, but logz.io is very reliable and just works as you expect. I would recommend it to anyone, for whom fast access to logs is critical, for example when you have a customer on phone and need to quickly understand what the issue is.

**What problems is Logz.io solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use it to see what happened to customers' accounts if there was any issue; time saver is greatest benefit as I'm able to understand the issue in literally couple of minutes and reply to customer having him/her on the phone or online in chat.

  ### 31. Great ELK stack that does what you need

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 22, 2020

**What do you like best about Logz.io?**

Queries on Logz.io run incredibly fast and never crash, and it's very easy to pick up.

**What do you dislike about Logz.io?**

Cannot find out how to create custom filters which include wildcards - we migrated over filters from our previous platform and I have to keep reusing those if I want to do a wildcard filter.

**What problems is Logz.io solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Tracking user activity for product development purposes as well as technical support.

  ### 32. Excelent utility. The best tool for checking the logs especially in online mode.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Accounting | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 25, 2020

**What do you like best about Logz.io?**

The charts and the possibility of filtering data
Possibility easy switch from charts to log record
Filtering options. very easy to manage a big count of records. Especially date filters very useful.
You can easily switch between the dashboards and change the widgets
Also, I like the possibility to download raw data.

**What do you dislike about Logz.io?**

I think that UI can be more simplified. The first time it was hard to understand some of UI items

**Recommendations to others considering Logz.io:**

I suggest try to use this tool in daily work and you will see that it can be very helpful. I got an excellent experience of using it during different tests which I did.

**What problems is Logz.io solving and how is that benefiting you?**

no any problems

  ### 33. We chose logz.io when it become hard to support our own fast growing ELK clusters.

**Reviewed Date:** October 21, 2020

**What do you like best about Logz.io?**

Awesome support, features, services, etc.

**What do you dislike about Logz.io?**

Nothing at the moment. Everytime we faced any issue, support helped us to resolve it shortly.

**What problems is Logz.io solving and how is that benefiting you?**

No need to support huge and complicated infrastructure for ELK+curator+elastalert cluster on our own.

  ### 34. CLOUD OBSERVABILITY FOR ENGINEERS

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer & Network Security | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

Resolve Incidents Faster:-
Find and resolve issues faster with advanced analytics, machine learning, real-time alerts, and log and metric correlation.

**What do you dislike about Logz.io?**

Engineers use the open source they already know, plus additional analytics to help them quickly explore their data.

**Recommendations to others considering Logz.io:**

Unleashing the incredible value that machine data can bring to
organizations and people around the world.

**What problems is Logz.io solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Unified Observability

  ### 35. A product with great value and great team

**Reviewed by:** Michael C. | Cloud Operations Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 30, 2020

**What do you like best about Logz.io?**

Their support, namely Raul. Solved my API issues in 1 minute flat.

**What do you dislike about Logz.io?**

That we don't have a larger daily log quota.

**What problems is Logz.io solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Not having to manage an ELK stack ourselves.

  ### 37. Best one out there

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**What do you like best about Logz.io?**

The way the team delivers on the customer requests and enhancements, as well as the user-friendly interface, with the wide variety of choices for how to work with it.
The modularity of it all, makes it highly usable.

**What do you dislike about Logz.io?**

A few elements here and there, but over all nothing important.

**What problems is Logz.io solving and how is that benefiting you?**

All kinds of problems with the application and customer runs, customer issues, basically if someone says something is wrong, we come to logs.io first.

  ### 38. Got great service on a recent upgrade

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 02, 2020

**What do you like best about Logz.io?**

The logz.io team went out of their way to ensure we were very happy with their recent upgrade. They met with us multiple times to work through issues on a custom widget, to ensure we were happy with the new behavior.

**What do you dislike about Logz.io?**

They're perfectionists. If you complete any survey, and don't give them perfect scores, someone will quickly reach out to see what the problem is :-).

**What problems is Logz.io solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Remote monitoring and support of on-prem devices across our customer base

  ### 39. Could detect malicious activities from external networks

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Retail | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 03, 2020

**What do you like best about Logz.io?**

We can set the alert definitions.
Adding Queries, Trigger conditions, tags and sending the alert by email are very easy to use from UI.
Also we can view the last events matched by the alert definitions from each alert definition menu.

**What do you dislike about Logz.io?**

Unfortunately, the data of our account seems to be stored in US datacenter.
Hopefully, we would like to sore the data locally like Tokyo or other regions in Japan.

**Recommendations to others considering Logz.io:**

Logz.io is very cost effective solution compared to other solutions.
The service levels of Logs.io are very reliable and we have not had any incident ever.

We also can create multiple sub accounts based on your organization, teams and customers.

we can integrate with other ELK or AWS applications like nagios,ELB, cloudtail and so on.

Even if you are not familiar with ELK, Logz.io prepares the instructions about how to send your data to Logz.io.All you have to do is to follow the steps described in the instructions.

Automatic reports are also very convenient function. We can manually schedule to send the summary of any dashboard by email or endpoint applications like Slack.

The documentation sites of Logz.io are very rich and we can find the solution easily if you would have an issue.

We can view many videos from Logz.io Learn Center. The sites include not only Logz.io but also ELK or other Open Source applications.

**What problems is Logz.io solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We could detect malicious activities against our public web server.
Unfortunately the logs stored in the server were deleted but we could investigate the details of the activities by sending the logs to Logz.io.

  ### 40. Make Support Activity a Holy Grail

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ramu S. | Senior Software Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 28, 2020

**What do you like best about Logz.io?**

Approach and the organization of the data

**What do you dislike about Logz.io?**

I don't have any concerns as of now. I loved to use logzio

**Recommendations to others considering Logz.io:**

Ease of usage and maintain the logs.

**What problems is Logz.io solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Earlier it was difficult to check the logs in the cloud. Need to move here and there still no result.
LOGZIO made my job simple and meaningful. Now I can able to address the customer issues within no time.

  ### 41. Information you my have been missing

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Electrical/Electronic Manufacturing | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 27, 2020

**What do you like best about Logz.io?**

So far the solution has been pretty easy to implement. The support has been excellent and the possibilities are exciting. The group I belong to has recently acquired our own account within our company (we are one of two groups who have their own account). We have been working hard to get logs shipped to Logz,io for analysis and retrieval. We have developed some proactive alerts and set up long-term archiving to AWS S3. Getting it all to happen has been pretty easy and we are excited to get further benefits by enhancing log-parsing and implementing more dashboards and proactive alerts on data that was typically used for troubleshooting in the past.

**What do you dislike about Logz.io?**

There are some features that are - let's say - in progress and sometimes we wish they were available sooner. But at the same time, we have been pretty pleased with the new features that have been delivered (ex: 50,000 lines for export vs. 1000) and we know the team is working hard to continue enhancing the product.

**Recommendations to others considering Logz.io:**

Think about it - those logs you have been reviewing to find issues could be helping to prevent them in the first place!

**What problems is Logz.io solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The goal has been two-fold. Get all logs into one place where they can easily be analysed and scrutinized by support - giving the logs a long term home. But also to take advantage of what many people miss and that is to be able to gain proactive insights into key systems based on log messages that can alert support to potential or developing issues.

  ### 42. Feels good enough to me

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 25, 2020

**What do you like best about Logz.io?**

All the complicated nonsense of ElasticSearch is hidden from me - I don't care about nodes, indices, replicas or whatever - I'm free to ignore everything but the data that I enter and the searches that I create.
Customer support is very responsive and informative - even escalating to the experts feels quick.
For 99.9% of the time, everything just works.
The HTTP API is well-documented with helpful examples/templates.

**What do you dislike about Logz.io?**

Quotas are set with a minimum of a gigabyte, when sometimes, I only expect to use a few hundred megabytes.
The 0.1% of the time that Logzio falls over - the API fails completely, logs stop appearing until things "catch-up".
Sometimes the caching of the web console breaks searches until you refresh the page (e.g. if I selected a single sub-account for one search, but then search for something else in another sub-account, the second search doesn't work until I refresh).

**Recommendations to others considering Logz.io:**

Do you want to manage your own ElasticSearch cluster (including Kibana)? If the answer is 'no', consider Logz.io.

**What problems is Logz.io solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We don't have a large team of database-cluster experts that can manage ElasticSearch clusters - Logzio means we're free to focus on the unique parts of our infrastructure.

**Reviewed by:** Heitor M. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 26, 2020

**What do you like best about Logz.io?**

Logzio is a managed server, and as a systems administrator that used to take care of a ELK cluster back in the day, this is by far the best experience. You just know it's gonna be there for you, and if something happens there are people dealing with it right away.
I like the dropdown filters already filled with actual log data to choose from.

**What do you dislike about Logz.io?**

I honestly don't know anything I dislike about it.

**Recommendations to others considering Logz.io:**

Fast, proactive and reliable. It's a Kibana on roids.

**What problems is Logz.io solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Easy access to logs from hundreds of apps are the major benefit, specially coming from using Cloudwatch Logs.

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Transportation/Trucking/Railroad | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 03, 2020

Alerting on whatever event occurs in production. Always being the first to respond thanks to Logzio. Always improving production with the knowledge logzio brings on a daily basis.

**What do you dislike about Logz.io?**

Charts are really difficult to organize and categorize. So after your organization has 100 charts, you can never find the charts back that you need. I would really be helped when I could organize my charts.

no
