I would like Logility Solutions to bring multiple benefits that primarily increase the company's return on investment. I suppose that flexibility in logistics management would be the most useful or valuable aspect.

**What do you like best about Logility Solutions?**
I like that projections can be viewed at a customer level and a combined aggregate level. There are many different ways to sort and view the information using ranges. You can also create custom reports to run and import and export data as needed. This is especially helpful for month to month planning, as you can export a forecast and re-import when the month rolls. The system has many different tools and trend settings for forecast planning, so it is easy to customize for your companies unique trends on an item by item basis.
**What do you dislike about Logility Solutions?**
The system does emphasize the most current history and forecasts most, which is sometimes not the trends you want to follow. This will require some manual manipulation of forecasts, but is not hard to do. Depending on how many items are in your company, it may be a long process to view each item to confirm new months forecast are accurate.
**What problems is Logility Solutions solving and how is that benefiting you?**
Probelms we are solving with Demand Solutions are having a central location for demand planning. This software can also pull and push data into other software programs that the company utilizes. Benefits are having multiple users make changes. I also really appreciate the notes tool where users can type in information on specific items.

I liked customising plan using this tool to consider my particular goal using all data, I liked that it can check whether capacity meets demand or not, I liked most that creating simulation scenarios for different situations, I liked accuracy of historical data which I used to predict for future.

I have not come accross risk management strategy which is necessary and If there already then I dont have come across which must be there from my point of view.

Logility was easy to navigate especially if you have not used it before.

The only thing I found that could update, is when you add an order and do not release it the same day, it will disappear the following day.

Placing orders is very quick and efficient. The spreadsheet that gets sent to you has all the information you need. If something is incorrect, it will notify you there's an error. It's usually an easy fix.

insanely speed and user friendly interface allows to do your work effective and efficiently. So much fun to work and could do changes quick and easy. A supply chain professional can make use of the software and get the required output using different strategies based on company objectives in different market conditions.

can't think of anything. So flexible and could change according to the requirements. User has to be smart. The trouble shooting is a bit difficult with the version we use as it is all text base files. (Ver 11.2.16.0) The new version is too expensive to upgrade.

The best forecasting tool I ever used. Speed and user friendliness is key. Have to ensure the data you feed is accurate and up-to-date to get the best results as any other software. Garbage in garbage out.

The problem with Logilit, when I was using it, is that it is a web based program that relies connectivity. The lag time it took going from section to section and the time it needed to save and loan was very painful.

All of my history is kept in one place and easily seen upon forecasting. There was no toggling in between screens for my decision making.

Some items that had high sales were not differentiated between regular sales and a special event. It would be useful to have this categorized to incorporate into the automated piece rather than manual. Another option that would be useful as comparing location forecasts for use in inventory balancing.

The more effort that is put in to this on a daily basis the better the outcome.

The clothing industry is functionally strong and rich in capacity. Common demand/inventory and reclassification planning end-user interface facilitates adoption. Strong capacity for forecasting. Customization of a strong user interface, filtering and view.

How reliable this product is. We have had no major issues with this product during the six plus years we have been using. Folks love this application. At first, it take users sometime to get used this type of tool but once they become familiar they love it.
**What do you dislike about Logility Solutions?**
There really is nothing at all I dislike about this application. If you wanted to make some changes to how things looked within a grid it would be beneficial to understand MDX but without that knowledge base you would need to contact Halo support to assist.

Accuracy. We have other applications throughout association that provide some of the same information as Halo but many times the data is incorrect whereas in Halo it is always correct. Always ties back to our data of record which is JD Edwards

The product is very reliable. I don't see many issue related to the product. It's very easy to use and saves a lot of time. Their Halo Source is an outstanding application that can help us build a data warehouse quickly. Their support team is great, they always response quickly and try to solve the problem.
**What do you dislike about Logility Solutions?**
Halo require the whole application reinstall instead of install the package only. It will cause few issue with web application, but with the Halo Source, it is not a matter.

Upgrading the whole application to solve the existing issue instead of install a service

**What do you like best about Logility Solutions?**
Some flexibility to making adjustments. The ability to upload mass data changes is helpful. The download options into Excel worked well. Being able to set the parameters to specific criteria for downloads was also important. Daily alerts for sales fluctuations were helpful to control inventory levels and minimize out of stocks.
**What do you dislike about Logility Solutions?**
There was no option for transitional plans as in phasing out old skus and in replacements. But that could be that my company didn’t purchase that option. Changing multiple entries from overwritten to automatic was also manual, one click at a time. Again...not sure if that was purchased. The Logility Helpdesk also wasn’t very helpful. They kept pushing back to my IT.

Being able to select trend lines and adjust to correct was easy. We just used Excel to plan before this system and this was a nice change since it kept the data updated month over month.

**What do you like best about Logility Solutions?**
I like the flexibility it puts in the hands of the front end users. There is very little development time needed to "format charts" to be color schemes or certain column headers, etc. A front-end user can take on all that work in this tool. The main development is in building the cube and creating definitions on the backend for the facts, measures, and dimensions. Once that is done, the tool takes care of itself. I've used QlikView and Tabelau and Halo provides a nice consistent way of easy spin-up.
**What do you dislike about Logility Solutions?**
There is a steep learning curve in the beginning on all the settings associated with cubes, understanding processing order of operations, etc. Once you get a feel for that, things come together nicely. One major downfall is that everything "must" be in a cube with a time dimension. However, if you have non-time dimensional data you could just 'fake it', so it isn't a problem that can't be overcome. If you are used to using QlikView or something, where you can just load a dataset, you'll need to adapt to understand to use the front-end of Halo it needs to be in cube form.

Make sure you have some technical people in your company who understand the back end. Without it you will be using a lot of consulting hours. It takes a lot of elbow grease to get things going, and having data people around will help a lot.
**What problems is Logility Solutions solving and how is that benefiting you?**
We are spinning up cubes left and right to get at the data under JDE. We had no analytics/bi department prior to Halo. Now we are acting like a very advanced department with many subject areas being deployed each month. In just 6 months time, I now have Inventory, Account Ledger, Open Orders, and other things visualized and refreshing automatically everyday. Super excited about the future with this tool.

Logility is very dynamic and offers many ways and models to customize your inventory/sales forecasts to best suit your particular business. There is a wide array of controls in all of the modules that work together to give you reasonable and trustworthy inventory and sales forecasts. Once you have your controls dialed in, much of the planning can become hands off for evergreen products, freeing up your time to evaluate new products and only dealing with statistical outliers for your current SKU base..

Some applications are complex to institute. We struggled with the ability to seamlessly integrate BOM items to roll up demand like we had hoped. We made it work, but it did take a lot of effort.
**Recommendations to others considering Logility Solutions:**
Logility is a very beneficial tool to drive your business. If you spend plenty of time up front in setting up logility to best use your data. All modules mesh together, so setting up your Demand Planning module, but ignoring (or not understanding)your Inventory & Replenishment modules, you will get great forecasts, but suggested orders that make no sense and makes you question the usefulness of the software. (Discovered through experience!). If you take the time to learn what you need to provide Logility and have good data feeding in, proper inventory and forecast controls, you will get a very dependable output of information.
**What problems is Logility Solutions solving and how is that benefiting you?**
Once we were able to finalize our ordering strategy controls, our ordering times were drastically reduced as Logility was allowed to take over all of our suggested orders. Our purchasing agents were able to quickly review orders with a high-level of confidence that a majority were exactly what a manual order would have been. In an industry with 4+ months of product lead times, having a good forecast and inventory replenishment plan was crucial to the success of the company. In general, with continued use and tweaking of settings, we routinely saw inventory forecasts and sales forecasts up over 90% accuracy, which allowed us to dramatically reduce our on-hand inventory, yet still be able to maintain high fill rate percentages.

Building constraints to accommodate your business is really easy. Maintaining data, standards, etc. is easy. It had a great output of schedules. The reporting tool is amazing. You are able to pull out any level of data you like. You are able to zoom in and out of days down to the minute in scheduling gantt chart.

It is busy screen. It is alot to take in when just learning. It gets easier like anything else but it can be intimidating at first. We used the production scheduler. It was alot of data to maintain. We are the time were using only Logility Scheduler. So we had to manually maintain the data. It is possible that used with other Logility products this may not be an issue.

This is a great tool if you have highly constrained production environments. The reporting tool is also great. It is easy to use and you literally can pull out any level of data you want. You can adhoc all data points available in the tool.

Scheduling constrained production lines. It was easy to build constraints in this tool. Helped tremendously when we have several different areas of constraint. Very easy to navigate through input data. We managed well over 300 skus, 16 production lines, at 4 different production plants in this system. Like anything else, input good data and your output will be as needed. We were able to schedule partial shifts if needed. This is not something you can do in all systems so it was a plus for us.

**What do you like best about Logility Solutions?**
The Demand Planning/Forecasting module is a great tool for generating detailed forecasts for lots of items without each requiring individual attention. You can leverage group behavior, or forecast at a product group and share the forecast across members. In the Inventory Planning module (IP) safety stocks are generated based on the Forecast Error for each period in the future you plan for. This is a big step up from 'static safety' solutions and dramatically helps plan inventory in a highly dynamic or seasonal environment. The Replenishment Planning (RP) module provides a solid purchase and distribution planning module with an easy to use interface to generate orders or stock movements.
**What do you dislike about Logility Solutions?**
It can be a challenge to pull data out of Logility for external reporting and analysis without a good DBA to help. Any individual screen can easily be dumped to excel, but for mass reporting some relatively involved SQL is required. This should not be out of reach for any organization looking at LVS, but should be considered. Further, the user interface has come a long in the last 15 years, but is not as configurable by the end user as people generally expect.
**Recommendations to others considering Logility Solutions:**
LVS implementations can be complicated from a technical side, and it will shine a light on inconsistent or faulty item data in your current ERP. Further, to fully leverage the software most organizations will require significant re-definition of employee tasks and responsibilities.

During the time my organization has used Logility the Forecasting and Replenishment group went from roughly 30 people managing 80k SKU's to 11 people managing 176k SKU. Logility allowed us keep up with the growth of the business and SKU base while continually moving employees up the value chain and automating low-value-add tasks.

My favorite part about using Logility Voyager was that the learning curve for getting used to the interface and major functions was very intuitive. With the easy-to-learn base functionality, every more advanced function within the system built on itself in a logical way.

The largest downside of using Logility Voyager was that all of our technical support was in a drastically different timezone, so any upgrades we wanted to make or troubleshooting we needed to explore had to be done on an oddly-timed conference call.

Voyager helped me and my team identify down-trending product much further in advance than was clear with the naked eye. Since we manufactured our apparel in-house, we could immediately shift priorities in production, saving the company money by reducing dead inventory.

The only downside was the difficulty of initial data management and setup. This platform is designed directly for sales forecasting, and my company implemented it for a manufacturing forecast - so there were initial growing pains with creating the forecast data.

We were able to create forecast at the individual SKU level and at regional levels and make them balanced for both manufacturing and finance.

I would’ve wanted separate models for short and long term forecasting, but there was a limiter on long range trends. There was not an focus on consumption and shipment forecasting, it was either one of the other.
