## LogicMonitor Reviews
  ### 1. The best comprehensive monitoring tool I have used

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sean S. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 23, 2020

**What do you like best about LogicMonitor?**

I like being able to make my own "datasources" to monitor devices how I want, there is a lot of flexibility in this tool set. Once you have learnt how to build the required platform you can tweak settings to your hearts content and create complex monitoring and then display that monitoring nicely on easy to make dashboards. We have a direct contact with a customer support representative which means any concerns we have are quickly expressed and can be immediately looked into. This generally means any larger issues or harder to answer questions can be addressed with ease. They also have an inbuilt support function which allows you to have direct contact with a support agent, direct search of their knowledge base and or support from the larger community.

**What do you dislike about LogicMonitor?**

Support for LM built "datasources" can be slow. Because the tool is comprehensive there can be a large or steep learning curve to fully understand how to set up and maintain the infrastructure.

**What problems is LogicMonitor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are able to showcase problem areas in our network as well as our clients networks. We can allow full access to our clients networks without the need for the client to log onto any device. This transparency allows us to stand above our competitors and prove that we have nothing to hide. With the alerting we have set up we now have faster response times when an issue arises allowing down time to be minimized or for the time that our clients to be left in the dark shortened.

  ### 2. Capable coding engine in the heart of your concerns...

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kev B. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 24, 2020

**What do you like best about LogicMonitor?**

LogicMonitor offers me the ability to capture pretty much any metric that is available on the wire, at the pace I need it. Thereafter, I can shift that data securely across the Internet, into a secure Cloud facility and that allows me to put that on a connected device anywhere in the world. The capability that appeals to me most is the ability to code at the Collector (as it is called) to call out to the target resources to pull data from (say) an API, or through WMI or any other interface that is accessible. With no need to install anything on the target device, the Collector is re-using a capability already available; usually the impact of this is minor. The configuration of the Collector is also held in the Cloud so when I lose the Collector, I simply spin up a fresh build O/S install the Collector, the Cloud updates with configuration and data starts to flow... it is robust!

**What do you dislike about LogicMonitor?**

My one dislike so far (and one could say that I had to search to find something I disliked) is that the dashboarding facility (very extensive) perhaps doesn't make the most use of a large display unit. Compare to some other dashboards available in various products, my opinion is that I could fit a whole lot more into the screen. However, I have a work around for this which has been to create my own skin to the problem and pull the available widgets through to the layout that I require. Considering that my customers, those that consume the data, only want a few metrics and a graph, this problem is mute anyway.

**Recommendations to others considering LogicMonitor:**

Consider the extensive capability of being able to author your own Logic Modules to collect the data you require.

**What problems is LogicMonitor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

1. Secure extraction and retention of data.
2. Conversion of data, indicating problem states into Incidents managed by Service Now.
3. Retrospective trend analysis for capacity and workload management, including cost savings within Cloud tenants.
4. Proactive predictions of failures.
5. Heuristic, comparative and statistical reporting comparing all of my clients' data streams for the benefit of all.

  ### 3. Less Effort More Productivity

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** krishna pratap s. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 24, 2020

**What do you like best about LogicMonitor?**

LogicMonitor Solution is very flexible and quick in Implementation even for bigger environment. All the codes are open and their is great level of flexibility to modify things as per organization requirement, even if we are an average developer and know few scripting concept your need not to wait for any new feature release by LM team, we can code those with zero wait time. Very light wait solution and need not to install any agent for any technologies that is the biggest strength.
Cloud Hybrid monitoring solution is very impressive. Very simple Licensing and no separate confusing module based approach for each monitored technologies.

**What do you dislike about LogicMonitor?**

There is no feature for dislike but i want to see improvement on Reporting (More flexibility like Business Intelligence (BI) ) and Alert Correlation modules.

**Recommendations to others considering LogicMonitor:**

Good Tool for quick deployment and useful result in reasonable cost (License + Implementation infra cost) .

**What problems is LogicMonitor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

we are able to cover all Day-to-Day FCAP aspect. Now we are able to detect the problem proactively and notify to respective group with full automation. It has significantly reduces the response and resolution time.

  ### 4. Good product

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Igor Z. | Senior DevOps Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 07, 2021

**What do you like best about LogicMonitor?**

The ability to monitor on-prem devices is very good

**What do you dislike about LogicMonitor?**

I find Logic Monitor interface in need of rework and improvement

**What problems is LogicMonitor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Monitor onprem devices

  ### 5. Excellent tool for general monitoring, but room for improvement

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Scott S. | Chief Technology Officer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 21, 2020

**What do you like best about LogicMonitor?**

LogicMonitor (LM) can alert on a WIDE range of criteria.
LogicMonitor is very flexible.
For example, one can monitor the free disk space of VMware physical storage, operating system configuration, cloud items, network performance, etc.

**What do you dislike about LogicMonitor?**

LogicMonitor lags behind competitors like Auvik in network mapping, user interface, and general usability.
Auvik has a simpler interface and is more intuitive for network device backups, monitoring, alerting, management, and the like. LogicMonitor would benefit from a better network map (diagram) generation / tool.
LogicMonitor would benefit from a refreshed user interface (UI).
(In its defense, LogicMonitor can alert on a wider range of criteria, compared to Auvik, and is more flexible.)

**Recommendations to others considering LogicMonitor:**

Consider your integrations. Obtain a trial to test the functionality.
** Invest the time upfront to setup the tool as desired ** this is the biggest failing of many companies with LogicMonitor, or other similar products.

**What problems is LogicMonitor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

LogicMonitor protects our clients' on premises and cloud systems from downtime or poor performance.

  ### 6. Intutive tool that helps make my job easier

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Matthew S. | Systems Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 21, 2020

**What do you like best about LogicMonitor?**

Flexible dashboards that can present a large amount of data in a simple view. It's ability to work with a wide range of protocols and straight forward interface for creating your own custom logic modules. The frequent updates and improvements to the platform, and the integrated chat support with quick response times. Easy user administration that provides me confidence in the user access to a distributed customer user base. The ability to grant view permissions of the logicmodules to my engineering team for transparency on how they function which has resulted in less time I have to investigate and explain to the team.

**What do you dislike about LogicMonitor?**

A brief list of items I've discussed with the LogicMonitor team where I know improvements are in development:
Lack of dark mode in current release.
Lack of configurable conformation prompts when device groups are moved via drag and drop.
No current ability to adjust polling intervals at the device group level.

**Recommendations to others considering LogicMonitor:**

Consider simple design implementations to scale into better use of dynamic groups.

**What problems is LogicMonitor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I've worked with LogicMonitor for over a year and have had many great interactions with their support on ways to improve the platform in a way that makes sense for my team as well as help identify areas the platform can improve that will not only benefit my team but all LogicMonitor users. This ranges from specific use cases in my teams instance to reduce alert floods during events to identifying specific unsupported encryption protocols the LogicMonitor team is now working to support in the near future.

  ### 7. A great monitoring tool with a lot of capabilities and features

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Allan H. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 21, 2020

**What do you like best about LogicMonitor?**

A highlight for the LM support, being able to open a chat in real time with one engineer.
The platform has a huge library of monitoring templates, being able to monitor any device basically.
Also, it supports netflow and collects devices config.
LM has been releasing many AIOps functionalities, among them: grah forecasting, root cause analysis though topology, anomaly detection and dynamic threshold.

**What do you dislike about LogicMonitor?**

One of the downside is the api rate limit, which sometimes take a long time to export data for a large amount of devices.
The Dynamic threshold functionality is a great concept, but it seems to be inaccurate when calculating the expected values range, in order to fine tune the configuration.

**What problems is LogicMonitor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As a MSP, setting up customers monitoring is way faster with logicmonitor since the devices are identified automatically and start to monitor everything right away. With the netscan functionalities, we can setup thousands of devices within seconds. This saves a lot of time.
Also, the dynamic groups are very helpful for organizing the devices easily.

  ### 8. Operations Manager

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jeff Y. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 31, 2020

**What do you like best about LogicMonitor?**

LogicMonitor provides deep and wide monitoring capabilities for multiple technology disciplines. Having worked with many monitoring tools in the past, LogicMonitor is by far the best solution from a scale and flexibility perspective. Being a SAAS solution reduces day to day complexity. With on-prem solutions we'd spend more time managing the tool than driving results and value for our clients. Their product management release cycle is impressive. I look forward to seeing the monthly release emails to see what is up and coming. The team at LogicMonitor (account management, leadership, support, professional services, etc.) are a pleasure to work with.

**What do you dislike about LogicMonitor?**

Sometimes you have to slow down to speed up. I find LogicMonitor sometimes has a tendency of being too ambitious with their roadmap and release schedule. I'd like to see a more dedicated focus to 1 to 2 big things a year versus taking on too many things that seemingly go on forever.

**Recommendations to others considering LogicMonitor:**

Focus on getting your commercial terms right. Since it is a SAAS solution, commercial terms tend to be subscription based which means long-term operational expenses. If you do not have in-house expertise to setup the solution, pay for professional services to get it right from the beginning. Little things like Alert Rules and Escalation Chains can paint you into a corner long-term if they are not setup right from the beginning. Make the right investment into your own staff from a training and management perspective. This should not be a solution managed off the side of someone's desk.

**What problems is LogicMonitor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As a carrier and operating in the service provider space, we do not want to be in the business of having the tools manage us. It is my experience, many service providers spend too much time managing the tools versus driving value and outcomes for clients. LogicMonitor allowed my organization to refocus energy in the right places which drives direct value and outcomes for our clients. Key benefits include dashboards and reports that are easily consumed by business focused clients. The data we can drive from LogicMonitor allows customers to make data-driven decisions for their business.

  ### 9. Intelligent and easy to use

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kane B. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 14, 2020

**What do you like best about LogicMonitor?**

The upsides to LogicMonitor’s for me are the flexibility when it comes to being able to create logic modules for custom monitoring, also how easy the panel is to use which makes the process of explaining to someone how to use the panel and best practices much easier. Dashboard creation is very easy and can provide useful information to a wide array of people from anyone dealing with this on the technical side (NOC etc) to dashboards for SDM's

**What do you dislike about LogicMonitor?**

Some limitations on RBAC with logic modules, some missing features also that could improve day to day work in the panel (being able to select instance groups when creating dashboards rather than just the individual instances)

**Recommendations to others considering LogicMonitor:**

If you are currently using old monitoring software that does not quite meet your monitoring requirements/does not have the flexibility for you to create your own modules to monitor software I would recommend looking into LogicMonitor as your next potential monitoring software. On top of this the UI is very easy to understand and use for people of a range of levels and understanding

**What problems is LogicMonitor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Being able to monitor much more than we have ever have with any other monitoring tool we have used. Flexibility to integrate with other software tools.

  ### 10. Monitoring done right.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alex B. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 04, 2020

**What do you like best about LogicMonitor?**

I like the ease of navigation of the datapoints and the way the data is expressed in the dashboards. Reporting is a breeze with customizable reports. It's hard to pick what I like best because I feel like everything about Logicmonitor is top-tier.

**What do you dislike about LogicMonitor?**

I dislike some minor technical backend glitches that arise when dealing with the minutia of the day to day. To be fair, these bugs are continually squashed with LM's support ticketing features and open communication with our account rep.

**What problems is LogicMonitor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are a monitoring team for an MSP and increased response time and better SLAs are being met using LM over other monitoring systems we have moved away from. We are solving network/systems infrastructure issues faster and are more accurately able to troubleshoot with the data that LM provides.

  ### 11. LogicMonitor has Logic in Everything

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ramachandran M. | System Administrator, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 21, 2020

**What do you like best about LogicMonitor?**

The distributed Monitoring system, Agent Less, Threshold system.

**What do you dislike about LogicMonitor?**

SN integration, The dashboards can be improved.

**Recommendations to others considering LogicMonitor:**

LogicMonitor is one of the well-organised tool in the market and very easy to adapt to any industry. It has everything that you need for your company. We have been looking for more than 2 years tool like LM. This is the latest cloud-based monitoring tool that can monitor the cloud apps.

**What problems is LogicMonitor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Bulk URL upload issue. I have been able to add many URLs within a short time.

  ### 12. Love Logic Monitor, but prefer the old UI

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 22, 2021

**What do you like best about LogicMonitor?**

I like the monitoring aspect and the ability to configure it for non-standard monitoring. I like the fact that it plugs in with PagerDuty

**What do you dislike about LogicMonitor?**

the new UI. Prefer the old UI better. other then that its nice

**What problems is LogicMonitor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

the problems we are solving with LogicMonitor are quickly locating systems that are down or needed services that have crashed or stopped. we have realized many benefits, mostly in the form of time spent on troubleshooting and awareness that there is an issue before the end user knows there is an issue

  ### 13. Amazing Monitoring System

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Samuel M. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 06, 2020

**What do you like best about LogicMonitor?**

Logicmonitors agentless system allows you to quickly monitor a lot of your infrastruture in a quick and easy manor. After installing the collector and creating accounts, as long as networking is in place monitoring is really easy and straight forward. The level of complexity of monitoring is completely up to you, the out of the box monitoring provides a great insight into many different system types. Further to this, adding your own custom monitoring to the platform is straight forward and can be easily done on the UI.

**What do you dislike about LogicMonitor?**

Learning the entirity of the system can be a bit overwhelming and take time.
RBAC could introduce more lower level controls.
SNMP trap eventsource could be improved

**Recommendations to others considering LogicMonitor:**

Ensure you are confident enough to start implementing before doing so, to avoid creating a mess on the platform. Expertise may be required in the type of monitoring you need.

**What problems is LogicMonitor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Logicmonitor offers a centralised system to us. Previously using multiple different monitoring tools, all resources were added to LogicMonitor for a single source of truth. With the massive library of datasources most devices had a very good amount of monitoring out of the box.
Topology mapping offers an easy viewing of networking including dependant alerting for key infrastructure.
Root cause anaylsis to stop alert flooding
API makes automation very easy

  ### 14. The modern monitoring solution

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

  ### 15. Rockstar monitoring

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospital & Health Care | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 07, 2021

**What do you like best about LogicMonitor?**

Easy setup even for lots of different devices. Works really well even with out of the box configuration

**What do you dislike about LogicMonitor?**

Significant customization requires scripts

**Recommendations to others considering LogicMonitor:**

Do your homework and look at your entire environment to make sure it can cover all

**What problems is LogicMonitor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Wanted to monitor several device types with one tool and this fit the bill

  ### 16. Chief Architect

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Satinderpal S. | Chief Architect, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 07, 2021

**What do you like best about LogicMonitor?**

Love the fact we can have single pane of glass monitoring across hosted DC and AWS services

**What do you dislike about LogicMonitor?**

Certainly need more plugins into LM from AWS services so that we can entirely rely on LM.

**What problems is LogicMonitor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Trying to be our single pane of glass monitoring. And thats the benefit we have realized.

  ### 17. Platform is extensive and allows for very granular monitoring across the infrastructure.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Medical Devices | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 22, 2021

**What do you like best about LogicMonitor?**

LogicMonitor appears to support many different vendors, from an infrastructure perspective this is very useful as there are many disparate systems and being able to consolidate monitoring into one platform is very useful. In addition, having an automatic AI-generated analysis of faults greatly reduces time to resolution for incidents. Being able to consolidate monitoring from several different products allows us to effectively resolve issues or even be proactive as things could escalate.

**What do you dislike about LogicMonitor?**

Have not used this product sufficiently to make a determination on dislikes.

**What problems is LogicMonitor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Monitoring gaps across disparate infrastructure systems. Allowing us to connect the dots, so to speak, and understand how things are interacting and finding pain points. Being able to show these items on dashboards, and showing the interactivity is extremely helpful.

  ### 18. Phenomenal Monitoring Software!

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 07, 2020

**What do you like best about LogicMonitor?**

I love the documentation on the API and the way ypu can assign arbitrary values and tags to each device to use the API to perform actions on.

**What do you dislike about LogicMonitor?**

I really think there are a few small quirks like the lack of dynamic groups for web resources. I also think that it would be nice to have some onboarding automations built into the software for new clients.

**Recommendations to others considering LogicMonitor:**

It is incredibly easy to set up, just make sure to read the collector documentation and size appropriately.

**What problems is LogicMonitor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have been able to get much better transparency into our client networks throughout using LogicMonitor. the configuration backups on switches, firewalls, routers, and network devices has allowed us to see exactly what is going on and quickly troubleshoot.

  ### 19. LogcMonitor is great for maturing start-up!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Retail | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 18, 2020

**What do you like best about LogicMonitor?**

I love the ease of use when it comes to setting up and maintaining LogicMonitor. It's robust enough to handle whatever we throw at it, while being easy enough that a very small team can manage it on the back burner and not get slammed with false positives!

**What do you dislike about LogicMonitor?**

New Alerts interface makes filtering a little hard, and it doesn't seem to have automated remediation as something that is easily visible.

**Recommendations to others considering LogicMonitor:**

Super easy to use, Great support team. Overall, a really wonderful product!

**What problems is LogicMonitor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We didn't have a good monitoring solution here before this, and previous places used more legacy software that required WAY more tuning. LM is easy to use, and pretty finely tuned out of the box.

  ### 20. One of the top 5 network monitoring tools on the market

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Packaging and Containers | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 26, 2020

**What do you like best about LogicMonitor?**

I would say the best part of LogicMonitor is the ease of device configuration. The Auto Properties and Auto Discovery systems do 90% of the work for you as long as you have credentials configured appropriately. It takes a lot of the work off of the admin compared to some other tools out there that require more manual configuration

**What do you dislike about LogicMonitor?**

It would be nice if there was a more straight-forward way to set up device dependencies rather than using the mapping feature. For instance, based on device Groups

**What problems is LogicMonitor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are solving the problem of monitoring of our network and server infrastructure, giving us proactive alerting and notifications for issues in our environment

  ### 21. Great for monitoring circuits

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Telecommunications | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 27, 2021

**What do you like best about LogicMonitor?**

I like how customizable the dashboards are.

**What do you dislike about LogicMonitor?**

I don't like how confusing the search is.

**What problems is LogicMonitor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We were looking for a tool to monitor our circuits and network devices

  ### 22. A clear return on Investment for any IT organiation

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Thomas H. | Systems Engineer II, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 04, 2020

**What do you like best about LogicMonitor?**

I like how it monitors traffic between your sites to see if system outages are correlated to packet loss and and network congestion.

**What do you dislike about LogicMonitor?**

Sometimes the really cool features you want you need to pay extra for, but that is any hosted solution.

**What problems is LogicMonitor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

When we had an outage previously, we did not have any historical data in one place to show us what was going on before the outage. the benefit is we don't need to monitor the network anymore, we just wait for alerts.

  ### 23. LogicMonitor enabled quick resolution and reporting for critical IT infrastructure

**What do you like best about LogicMonitor?**

The autodiscover. LogicMonitor does a great job of discovering new infrastructure to start monitoring automatically.

**What do you dislike about LogicMonitor?**

The GUI. The GUI seems a bit 90s-ish and could be updated.

**What problems is LogicMonitor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are monitoring our on-prem and cloud infrastructure.

  ### 27. Great platform with continued growth and ability to continuously execute improvements

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Will S. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 10, 2020

**What do you like best about LogicMonitor?**

Fully customizable platform that we can cater to our individual needs in terms of reporting and alerting. They make it easy to work backward in an alert to not only find the root cause but adjust the thresholds and/or even remove alerts for benign errors.

**What do you dislike about LogicMonitor?**

The incredible amount of customization for alert routing can be daunting at first.

**What problems is LogicMonitor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We're able to focus on business-critical problems and cut down on alert bloat.

  ### 28. APM vs Logic Monitoring

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Naimish S. | CIO

**Reviewed Date:** May 21, 2021

**What do you like best about LogicMonitor?**

historical data and dynamic range for performance comparison

**What do you dislike about LogicMonitor?**

does not offer application-level insight

**What problems is LogicMonitor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

trying to find out poor performance from application and narrow down root cause

  ### 29. Flexible and informative

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Craig M. | Sr. Systems Administrator, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 09, 2019

**What do you like best about LogicMonitor?**

Fairly easier to setup and configure a comprehensive NOC style dashboard.

**What do you dislike about LogicMonitor?**

Currently unable to suppress alerts on devices "chained" behind down devices. So if for example a switch wit ha server connected to it goes down you get alerts for both.

**Recommendations to others considering LogicMonitor:**

Try it out. Their support alone has been exceptional.

**What problems is LogicMonitor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have 2 NOC style boards monitoring system up status and are able to quickly determine when critical devices go offline.

  ### 30. it is very easy to use, user friendly, and you get alot of features out of it.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**What do you like best about LogicMonitor?**

i like the facet that i can have multiple alarms viewd all in one location instead of having multiple applications

**What do you dislike about LogicMonitor?**

the app can be a little more like the web gui

**Recommendations to others considering LogicMonitor:**

you can remotely monitor from anywhere and have servers, network, database and also automation of ticket creation done using this tool.

**What problems is LogicMonitor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

indepth analysis of databases and servers health. this saves time also as monitoring can be done remotely

  ### 31. Monitoring platform with the tightest of integration across the board

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Saqib S. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 22, 2020

**What do you like best about LogicMonitor?**

Logicmonitor is an amazing platform, having worked with it for two years, I have found it ability to automatically discover devices and pull in relevant data sources and setup alerts very useful.

Furthermore our teams have started to create our own data sources and integrate these into business performance metrics outside of the IT space. Logicmonitor is a tier one partner at Ted Baker.

**What do you dislike about LogicMonitor?**

Some new devices are not fully supported, but the technical team are responsive and bring in updated when requested.

**Recommendations to others considering LogicMonitor:**

I would highly recommend Logic Monitor, it met all of our needs and then some.

**What problems is LogicMonitor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

-IT Monitoring
-Alerting
-Technical Metric logs
-Network traffic Insights
-Cloud Data metric monitoring
-Business Data gathering and reporting leadership teams

  ### 32. Very impressed so far

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mike K. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 04, 2020

**What do you like best about LogicMonitor?**

quick to configure and provides the level of monitoring we're looking for. From what I can see it also scales very quickly without a lot of over head.

**What do you dislike about LogicMonitor?**

we seem to be having a lot of meetings and wasted time. our current sales team is not technical enough in my option. We have to wait for days to receive answers to technical questions.

**Recommendations to others considering LogicMonitor:**

I would absolutely recommend LogicMonitor. We're currently using nagios, zabbix and nimsoft and we're hoping to replace those monitoring tools with LogicMonitor.

**What problems is LogicMonitor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

we have several gaps in our current monitoring solution. we're hoping to fill those gaps with LogicMonitor.

  ### 33. Software with a view!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Chris J. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 21, 2020

**What do you like best about LogicMonitor?**

I love my ability to see all assets in one portal regardless of where they are in the are in the world, or which network they are on. From reviewing the health of the network to being notified the second something goes down (or before that when something is overutilized or throwing errors), to at its simplest level, a fantastic reference for me and my team to find anything were trying to identify. Its exactly what we needed and then some.

**What do you dislike about LogicMonitor?**

I look forward to future features, such as writing to devices from Logic Monitor, config changes, config restorations, etc.

**What problems is LogicMonitor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Troubleshooting network latency issues and keeping assets organized. High level reporting to management for SLAs.

  ### 34. Review of LogicMonitor

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mike G. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 22, 2020

**What do you like best about LogicMonitor?**

We like that it's cloud hosted monitoring which, for us, means we don't need an additional check to make sure our infrastructure is actually running. If our infrastructure would go down, it would alerts us vs. the monitoring platform also being down. They have a large number of supported platforms out of the box. Support is quick to respond and generally quick to solve any issues.

**What do you dislike about LogicMonitor?**

The biggest downside for us is the cost, it's on the pricy side for monitoring and they're generally unwilling to give you much of a discount as you grow (unless you suddenly add a large number of devices all at once). I know companies smaller than us that have better pricing because they went in with more devices initially. Their lack of a standard pricing scale makes it harder to do business with them vs some other providers that have standard pricing tiers.

**Recommendations to others considering LogicMonitor:**

Make sure you understand the pricing and how it scales going forward. If you're in an enterprise that doesn't change or grow very rapidly this may not be as big of a concern. We're a service provider so how our vendors and partners scale with us as we grow is very important. I wish they were a bit more transparent with the pricing.

**What problems is LogicMonitor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

LogicMonitor is our infrastructure and client monitoring platform. It allows us to monitor many diverse/segregated networks with the same platform.

  ### 35. Excellent Monitoring tool for any small business to large enterprise

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Construction | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 21, 2020

**What do you like best about LogicMonitor?**

Cloud based, Rich and useful user Interface. Alerts are very powerful with email and sms messaging covered. Ability to monitor devices dispersed geographically anywhere in the world. It is great that it does not require an agent on devices that you wish to monitor. And, scripting ensures that you can check just about anything on any device.

**What do you dislike about LogicMonitor?**

Advanced features are Not as intuitive to use. Lacks the ability to execute actions to apply instant fixes and access systems directly to resolve issues.

**Recommendations to others considering LogicMonitor:**

You wont regret your decision choosing LogicMonitor for your monitoring needs. I would recommend going through some of the training material at the beginning of your implementation so that you can get a good start with the product.

**What problems is LogicMonitor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Detailed alerting on issues in monitored equipment that we would not otherwise have seen. We have been able to reduce our alerts week on week due to seeing patterns of issues in devices and being able to resolve those problems where we may not have known they existed before, and before they became larger issues.

  ### 36. LogicMonitor has been very helpful in alerting us when systems are down

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 21, 2020

**What do you like best about LogicMonitor?**

The customization features and ease of agent installation.
The dashboards that are very customizable are a nice thing to have at a quick glance.
SSO Login is a big plus as well for our company. Little things and features like that are a plus as well.
Customer support has been quick and helpful in the past when we have needed it.

**What do you dislike about LogicMonitor?**

I wish the alert thresholds were more easy to modify and add additional levels.
Being able to add additional ones would allow our alerting to be more precise and defined rather than just grouped into larger buckets.
This way would could not be alerted on trivial things and others we could have alerts on. Would help our team out better.

**Recommendations to others considering LogicMonitor:**

LogicMonitor has helped our IT team respond in quick and timely manners and prevent additional system downtime.

**What problems is LogicMonitor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

IT Alerting for critical systems and health status.
Being able to respond in a timely manner when an outage or issue occurs.
Dashboard monitoring for quick glances of system statuses and health.

**What do you like best about LogicMonitor?**

It allows you to stay informed on the status of your network/datacenter from virtually anywhere.

**What do you like best about LogicMonitor?**

I love how easy it is to setup out of the box. I literally can have monitoring setup and running on all of your systems in less than an hour.

**What do you dislike about LogicMonitor?**

The only feature that is really missing is automatic remediation steps when an alert is triggered, but I understand that is in the development pipeline.

**What problems is LogicMonitor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am monitoring over 5000 systems. It allows me to set up custom alert rules and escalation chains not just host by host but even individual monitored sources. PING, IIS, SQL service etc. This lets me route alerts to the team that can best handle that alert.

  ### 42. Easys to use more features

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

Ease of use
It is very easy t spin up and start using
It helps me run our MSP by keeping me posted on many things by text

**What do you dislike about LogicMonitor?**

it can be a bit overwhelming, at times, figuring out what all it is
there are many metrics this monitoring platform can show.

**Recommendations to others considering LogicMonitor:**

Use it. it is the best. lean heavily on support to get it all figured out in the begining.

**What problems is LogicMonitor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

texts in off hours about services not running or servers being down have made MSP work better
before we were just trying our best to watch emails from other monitoring services.

**What do you like best about LogicMonitor?**

LogicMonitor's extensibility allows us to achieve so much more than some canned solutions. We are able to tailor alerts, set thresholds and create unique dashboards.

**What do you dislike about LogicMonitor?**

Some of our device types do not have config or datasources. We have had to pay PS for project work, but that was completed on time and satisfactorily.

**Recommendations to others considering LogicMonitor:**

After careful consideration of over a dozen alternatives, we felt LogicMonitor was the best solution for us. Look at your requirements and see if LogicMonitor cannot meet or exceed your needs.

**What problems is LogicMonitor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Core monitoring, and are moving toward advanced monitoring using Services Insights. Our alerting and notifications are significantly higher quality and less noise than we previously experienced.

**What do you like best about LogicMonitor?**

Easy to setup and manage the environment

**What do you dislike about LogicMonitor?**

The cost is a bit steep but the value is there

**Recommendations to others considering LogicMonitor:**

The only issue I had was the auto-renew process. We had staffing changes and the e-mail was sent to an unmonitored address. The lack of response created a renewal I was unaware of until after the fact.

**What problems is LogicMonitor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We needed eyes on the equipment so we could respond proactively to issues, this resulted in better customer experience.
