## LogicMonitor Reviews
 ### 1. Predictive Forecasting Controls Are a Math Nerd’s Dream

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nidhi S. | Data Analyst Intern, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 14, 2026

**What do you like best about LogicMonitor?**

Senior advised me just to watch the alerts from the server. I'm Data Analyst intern, I don't care about pings on the server. I looked through the metric graphs, and noticed the “Predictive Forecasting” settings. The "Training Window" slider (30 days, 90 days, or customized offset) can be adjusted manually to train this Holt-Winters math model. This is possible even for changing confidence interval! If you're not one of the happy normal users, but you're a math nerd, you can see the HTML5 canvas training forecast line change when you change the training offset (if you don't, you can lock it), and that's pure heaven.

**What do you dislike about LogicMonitor?**

This is a beautiful feature that they don't publicise! The training slider is deep within the two sub-menus in widget settings. Other than that, if I export to CSV, it only includes historical raw data and not forecasted coordinate points computed. I don't like having to copy coordinates for my Python script!

**What problems is LogicMonitor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Manager wants to know what will be the first time that our database disk is going to be full? Rather than manually regressing the data for a few hours, I employed this forecast tool. I set training window to disregard the temporary training data spikes last month, and BOOM! It gave exact date (October 14th). I've been blown away by my prediction slide deck. Made my internship by getting a niche feature!

 ### 2. LogicMonitor has cut our MTTR 42% and provided tight ROI.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tiya P. | DevOps Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 13, 2026

**What do you like best about LogicMonitor?**

I'm DevOps engineer, I am measuring everything in numbers. We have been using LogicMonitor for a total of 14 months. Best part is having an agentless collector architecture. We installed collector on 1 standard VM and in 2 hours it discovered more than 650 network devices & servers. This reduces manual set up time by 80% versus previously used agent based tool.
Ring logic is good. We used switches for dynamic thresholds for CPU and memory instead of static thresholds. This was the reason alert noise is going down by 62%. We were receiving 400 alerts a week from our on call team and now we are receiving 150 actionable alerts a week! Full support for integration with Terraform. Monitoring is "As Code". Very low API response time - always <50ms for metric queries.

**What do you dislike about LogicMonitor?**

pricing model is strictly on the number of devices. We have both Kubernetes and AWS auto scaling groups in place. Occasionally short-lived containers and or EC2 instances are being started for 1 hour, as a result that is consuming licence quota. Due to this, we are paying 12% more than we expected on our monthly bills.

**What problems is LogicMonitor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Main problem it is solving is hybrid infrastructure visibility. We have 30% on-premise data center and 70% AWS cloud. Both now in a single pane of glass dashboard.
Benefit can only be quantitative:
Now, with the visibility into the exact root cause node in dashboard, Mean Time to Resolve (MTTR) is improved to 26 minutes, down from 45 minutes (42% improvement).
The uptime of the infrastructure is improved from 99.91% to 99.99% for last two quarters.
Capacity planning report made it very easy to identify and downsize 40 idle VMs. This optimization is soaring the savings in cloud billing by a sum of exactly $3,200 a month.
Complete overall ROI is realized after just 8.5 months.

 ### 3. Hands-Free Multi-Cloud Monitoring with Easy Collector Setup and Fast Alerts

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ranjit P. | Cloud Engineer, Information Technology and Services, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 12, 2026

**What do you like best about LogicMonitor?**

As a Cloud Engineer, I am currently responsible to manage large multi-cloud (AWS & Azure) infrastructure for my organization. Best thing I like about LogicMonitor is the collector setup. We simply deploy one collector in our VPC and it automatically discovers all cloud resources. Does not require deploying agent on all servers or databases. Works with all cloud services such as ACKS, EKS, RDS and other cloud services.
Dashboards are very interactive and easy to build. I built a lot of custom dashboards for app teams and database teams to view their own metrics. Also, alerting is very fast and reliable. When any one of my pods is crashing or when the CPU hits 90, I receive Slack and PagerDuty messages immediately. Easy to set, but once it is in place it will be totally hands-free.

**What do you dislike about LogicMonitor?**

If your cloud environment is extremely large and you have thousands of resources then pricing is a bit on the high side. But sometimes we are getting alarm storm if we don't tune the default thresholds correctly during starting up.
Another thing is writing custom datasources. If default monitoring is not there, we need to write scripts in Groovy for custom datapoints. For beginners, learning Groovy for monitoring is very difficult and slow. Further, if you place too many graph widgets in a single dashboard, UI will be slow loading sometimes.

**What problems is LogicMonitor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We currently check AWS CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, standalone network tool for checking issues. It was big headache to jump between portals. At the moment we have one pane of glass for all.
Helping me find the root cause of an issue very quickly. Application speed is slow—server metrics, network traffic and database load all can be viewed in one place, simultaneously. It saves our lot of time and MTTR (Mean Time to Resolve) is reduced nicely. Obtaining bugs before it's being reported to us.

 ### 4. The "All in one" monitoring tool, very useful for DevOps".

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Diya P. | Cloud & DevOps Associate, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 12, 2026

**What do you like best about LogicMonitor?**

We have been using LogicMonitor in my company for some 1 year. The best thing I like is that it can monitor servers, network, cloud (AWS, Azure) and everything in one dashboard. Deploying collectors, and they auto-disonnect everything was really easy. The alerts are extremely speedy and PagerDuty and Slack integration seems to be doing wonder for our on call team. Dashboards are utterly flexible, I created separate dashboards for management, and for technical team. Saves me tons of time locating problems.

**What do you dislike about LogicMonitor?**

The loading of the UI with a large number of widgets on the dashboard is sometimes a bit slow. Also, the generation of custom (complex) datapoints/custome scripts for monitoring has some learning curve and in the beginning you might find it not so easy to understand. Also the price is a little bit on the expensive side when have a whole slew of devices to track. Occasionally, thresholds are not well tuned from the beginning, which can cause us false alerts.

**What problems is LogicMonitor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Prior to this, we had 3-4 different tools which we were using for various purposes. We now have a place in central monitoring for all of our monitoring. It provides us excellent information about infrastructure performance. We receive the alert if the server's CPU goes high, before customers complain that their site is down. I use it to get incident resolution done a lot quicker as my team can view metrics and logs all in a single place. It simplifies overall the management of the infrastructure for DevOps teams.

 ### 5. Agentless Auto-Discovery and Dashboards That Deliver a True Single Pane of Glass

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Keshav R. | Senior System Engineer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 11, 2026

**What do you like best about LogicMonitor?**

The one thing that beats LogicMonitor is their agent-less collector architecture. In our organization we have On-Prem servers, Cisco network devices and AWS/Azure in cloud. It's a hassle to install agents on all these VM. They simply placed their collector on a local machine and boom, all of the infrastructure in our network was automatically detected within minutes of LogicMonitor being installed!
The magic part of the autodiscovery is just that. It is leveraging the following without manual configuration: identification of the OS in use, identification of the listening ports and display of CPU, memory and disk metrics in real-time. Also, the pre-built dashboards are highly useful. Our team isn't forced to spend weeks setting up templates. As a manager I really like and use the single pane of glass view to display our SLA status to the management.

**What do you dislike about LogicMonitor?**

The cost is for sure the first thing. LogicMonitor is neither affordable nor inexpensive. These are per resource charges and if you are a large environment case of lots of little VMs or lots of Network Switches the cost can quickly escalate. At times it's like we're paying for monitoring plus more!
The other problem is the beep in the beginning. Your inbox will be inundated with thousands of emails and Slack notifications, if you don't take the time to adjust the thresholds. Alert fatigue is very much a concern here.

**What problems is LogicMonitor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Prior to LogicMonitor, our IT ops people were in a all-hands state of chaos. There were various different open-source tools such as Nagios for the servers, another for pinging across network and AWS cloudwatch for cloud. At the time of any outage, my team was spending working hours figuring out, who actually had a problem and at which point. At the time of any outage, my team was working hours trying to ascertain who had the actual problems and where.
No longer is anyone forced to go from one station to another. Correlating a database with network latency or storage IOPs can be done almost instantly with a slow database in the same dashboard. Our MTTR (Mean Time to Resolution) has come down by almost 40%. It has helped our team to avoid support panic on the weekends and helped to make our overall infrastructure much more stable.

 ### 6. Real-Time Alerts and a Clean Dashboard for Confident Monitoring

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Saniya s. | Marketing Associate, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 06, 2026

**What do you like best about LogicMonitor?**

The greatest advantage of LogicMonitor is its real-time alerting and extremely clean dashboard. As a Growth Marketer, my growth team manages high spending Google and Meta ad campaigns. Without our main landing page or sign-up API, we would forfeit a lot of money and leads.
LogicMonitor enables us to monitor our site performance and database condition as it happens. I can check the health of the main green/red line on my joint shared dashboard, instead of calling my DevOps team and asking, "Is the server working fine?". When there's any little lag in our checkout page we're alerted and we can pause the ads right away—the alert system is really quick.

**What do you dislike about LogicMonitor?**

One of the challenges is the steep learning curve for someone not necessarily in the tech space, so the tool is definitely aimed towards the core tech people.
Creating own dashboards for marketing metrics (such as a certain landing page load time) is somewhat complex. Setting up alerts was a bit tricky and ended up taking some support of ours in the IT department.
Furthermore, the charges are somewhat higher for medium-sized startups. It'd be nice if they could create a “plain service” for non-IT folks who just want basic monitoring of basic web sites and APIs which is simpler and cheaper.

**What problems is LogicMonitor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Prevention of Ad-Spend Wastage: Previously once the ad-spending campaign starts there we had to wait for the website to be down or slow, only found out on Monday when we wasted thousands of Rupees. Now it's logical to alert us as we discover it and we can respond in real time.
Team Collaboration is improved: We have a common dashboard; both marketing and engineering teams understand what is pending and moving at the same pace. If our campaign traffic is having an impact on the server load, we can easily tell that we need to prepare for it and deploy extra servers to serve the additional load in advance.
Uptime Tracking: We have a critical lead generation form that we're able to track uptime of 99.9%, which plays a direct role in meeting our monthly sign up goals.

 ### 7. In-Depth Analysis in One Place with Smooth ITSM Integration

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Shah Nawaz K. | Product Support Analyst, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 06, 2026

**What do you like best about LogicMonitor?**

The in-depth analysis it provides while I’m using it has made me a fan, since everything is available in a single place. It doesn’t throw random errors or false alerts, which I really appreciate. Integration is easy with ITSM tools, and the UI also works well.

**What do you dislike about LogicMonitor?**

Sometime the information needed is deep inside and you need to go inside to fetch that which makes things a lil bit clumpsy and less usable

**What problems is LogicMonitor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I work in network operations and IT operations. We monitor network health for our clients, as well as cloud health, and LM works best for us.

 ### 8. Proactive Server Monitoring That Helps Us Prevent Issues

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Robert B. | Lead Support Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 21, 2026

**What do you like best about LogicMonitor?**

Logic Monitor allows us to monitor all of our servers and anticipate potential problems before they happen, such as heavy disk space utilisation and similar issues.

**What do you dislike about LogicMonitor?**

Logicmonitor costs more than some of its competitors, and when we were setting it up, we found that some of the rules required for remote communication were quite complex.

**What problems is LogicMonitor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Logicmonitor allows us to monitor servers in our VMware environment for key measurables such as disk space, RAM, and CPU usage. It also helps us identify bottlenecks that could cause slowdowns or potential failures before they’re reported by end users. This lets us act sooner and keep everything moving.

 ### 9. Efficient Monitoring but Needs Better Support and Pricing

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Anto M. | Head of Sales Marketing, Marketing and Advertising, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 02, 2026

**What do you like best about LogicMonitor?**

I like LogicMonitor for its monitoring capabilities, especially for our business website where it updates each and every page. I found the feature for monitoring dynamic servers inside very useful, helping to maintain our uptime. Additionally, I appreciate being immediately notified if anything is up or down, which is crucial for us. The setup was very easy for me, which was a big plus.

**What do you dislike about LogicMonitor?**

I said the pricing and they enable to automation something like that. LogicMonitor is very hard to reach for support.

**What problems is LogicMonitor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

LogicMonitor updates everything on our website, monitoring each page and providing immediate DNS filtering alerts if anything goes up or down, which is major for us.

 ### 10. Much better products out there for cheaper

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Warren S. | Head of Infrastructure, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 22, 2025

**What do you like best about LogicMonitor?**

Not a lot, if our 3rd party support didn't insist on us using it we wouldn't have it

**What do you dislike about LogicMonitor?**

to monitoring everything you'd like to monitor is expensive
As we're going through a 3rd party provider, we cannot have a monitoring account as it now requires MFA

**What problems is LogicMonitor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

None, we have to have as part of our support contract with a 3rd party

 ### 11. LogicMonitor: When AI Watches Your IT

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Keerthi R. | DevOps Engineer, Computer Software, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 11, 2025

**What do you like best about LogicMonitor?**

What I like best about LogicMonitor is how it makes monitoring feel effortless. The AI-driven insights cut through the noise, so instead of drowning in alerts, I get clear, actionable information. It’s also great at giving end-to-end visibility across systems, which makes troubleshooting and performance tuning so much faster. Overall, it helps me focus less on chasing issues and more on actually improving operations.

**What do you dislike about LogicMonitor?**

The setup can feel complex at first, and the UI could be more intuitive for new users.

**What problems is LogicMonitor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

LogicMonitor helps us solve the problem of limited visibility and constant alert fatigue. With its AI-driven monitoring, we can see issues across our entire infrastructure in real time and even predict problems before they escalate. This has reduced downtime, sped up troubleshooting, and freed up the team to focus on improvements instead of firefighting. In short, it keeps our systems healthier and our workdays a lot smoother.

 ### 12. Great tool and valuable partner!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Wren D. | NOC and Automations Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 21, 2025

**What do you like best about LogicMonitor?**

LogicMonitor provides excellent data on all our devices and our client devices, enabling our Enterprise NOC to continually support and improve our client's environments without spending countless hours investigating devices. LM's broad range of data points and graphs of historical data go a long way towards making problem management easy. The LM API has enabled us to tie in our other tools and customize our integrations to suit our specific use case. Training users on the basics of reading data and alerts is easy, and has allowed us to expand our team without significant barriers.

**What do you dislike about LogicMonitor?**

Not every built in integration is particularly useful, so we have written our own on occasion. There are a few things within the platform that don't perfectly fit our needs and have required workarounds. Some features are only available in one version of the UI or the other. Individual licenses are expensive, relatively speaking, and cheaper license options like the website monitors for internal or external ping checks are somewhat unintuitive. It can be time consuming to determine which alerts are actionable and which are noise, and to tune the thresholds appropriately.

**What problems is LogicMonitor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As a MSP that provides enterprise services, our primary use of LM is using alerts to create tickets, which directs our work solving issues and notifying our clients when things happen within their environments. Additionally gives us excellent visibility into our client environments, which allows us to continually tune their environments to maintain and improve them over time. That data can also be used to drive revenue by allowing our technical teams to reach out to account managers when opportunities for upgrade projects or hardware replacements come in.

 ### 13. LogicMonitor: Highly Capable, but Complex

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Andrew Q. | Technical Strategy Lead, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 19, 2025

**What do you like best about LogicMonitor?**

LogicMonitor should be viewed as a platform upon which to build a monitoring service, rather than a final product out-of-the-box. While it comes with a substantial number of modules to ingest data from common devices/applications its main strength is its extensibility. No monitoring product can cover every facet of every application in every organisation. LogicMonitor's extensibility makes it possible to build the specific integrations you require and ingest the data into a scalable platform that can turn it into actionable alerts. It is not limited to traditional IT systems monitoring. If you can find a way to pull data from a system, you can use that data in LogicMonitor.

**What do you dislike about LogicMonitor?**

LogicMontior is dogmatically opposed to using agent-based monitoring in any capacity. Monitoring relies on collector servers polling services across the network. This makes it easy to integrate with and monitor new types of services without the need to develop new software (particularly modern API-based/cloud services), but traditional server workloads (Windows/Linux) are significantly more difficult to deploy and troubleshoot than with a typical agent-based monitoring platform. The process of configuring firewall rules and granular permissions for monitoring accounts at an application/feature level on each system is highly laborious and necessitates investment in external automation tools for environments with frequent changes.

**What problems is LogicMonitor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

LogicMonitor provides detailed monitoring into a diverse range of customer environments, on-premises and in the cloud. Previously, we required several different monitoring tools to gain adequate coverage across our client base, and frequently found that our monitoring software vendors were too slow to adapt their products to support new technologies. LogicMonitor's extensibility means that we can monitor everything in a single platform and integrate new technologies in the future.

 ### 14. Extremely powerful tool and only limited by your own ability

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Liam P. | Infrastructure & Network Team Lead, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 16, 2025

**What do you like best about LogicMonitor?**

LogicMonitor provides a lot of advanced monitoring out the box and customisable alert tuning which is incredibly simple and easy to use in comparison to our old tool. This has allowed us to take our customer monitoring to the next level by offering bespoke alerting for their needs rather than a one size fits all approach.

Furthermore, LogicMonitor has given us the ability to create our own monitoring which we have heavily utilised to again offer a much better service for our clients. Deploying our own Datasources has been easy.

Implementing the tool into our clients has been very easy and simple to do as well, no complicated menu's and the supporting documentation helps you alongthe way.

**What do you dislike about LogicMonitor?**

I'm not the largest fan of the new UIv4, I'm very much used to v3 and for me I find it a lot simpler to locate everything I need. Sometimes in v4 it's been hidden behind different menu's or moved. Only other minor thing is the quality of support can differ depending on who's looking into your support ticket.

**What problems is LogicMonitor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

LogicMonitor has already came in and provided more detail than our previous tool. One example is the advanced monitoring showed us a latency issue on some SAS disks in a VRTX, LM very handily provided a graph that showed the exact moment this spiked and we were able to use this data to pinpoint an issue with the controller on the VRTX.

Furthermore, the certificate monitoring is allowing us to find locations the certificate resides whereas our previous tool could never provide us this data

 ### 15. Logic Monitor best NMS partner

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Patricia EMERY A. | Network engineer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 15, 2025

**What do you like best about LogicMonitor?**

Logic Monitor is currently one of the best network and infrastructure monitoring solutions in the market.
Easy to configure, customize and maintain, Logic monitor enhances my skillsets to be more proactive and perform a better analysis and troubleshooting even before issues appears.

LM provides a centralized view of my infrastructure including servers, network devices, firewalls, etc. I can configure netflow for network traffic analysis, syslog for servers and i can even monitor temperature and A/C metrics with just 2 clicks.

LM provides seamless integration with most technology partners, you will find almost no effort onboarding servers, network nodes, virtual devices and cloud infrastructure in less than a minute. You can also monitor websites not only web servers to see important counters such as visits, etc.

You can also manage and customize alerts, thresholds and schedule down time easily when scheduling maintenance windows and working with change management in a production environment.

**What do you dislike about LogicMonitor?**

LM proved to be too efficient in terms of monitoring.
You will find yourself tuning some features such as the collection schedules unless you want to have Terabytes of logic monitor traversing your network.

Although LM provides seamless integration with most technology partners, some sought after features for Wireless Heat Maps are not present. I can't complain of the flexibility and data from the network topology maps but real time data regarding Wi-Fi metrics would be absolutely awesome to have in just one in a widget.

**What problems is LogicMonitor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Diverse technologies infrastructure needs a single pane of glass monitoring.

 ### 16. Improved perspective since my last review.

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** ShuelKhan K. | Senior Technical Team Lead, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 15, 2025

**What do you like best about LogicMonitor?**

LogicMonitor has become the backbone of our proactive monitoring strategy. Its real-time alerting capabilities have dramatically reduced our response times, particularly during out of hours incidents. The SMS and voice call features are absolutely invaluable for our on-call engineers—no more relying solely on emails that might be missed at 3AM.

What really sets LogicMonitor apart for us is how deeply it integrates with our ITSM platform. When an issue is detected, it doesn't just raise an alert—it automatically creates a ticket, sets the appropriate priority based on predefined thresholds, and assigns it to the relevant team. This has eliminated a huge amount of manual triage and has made our service desk noticeably more efficient.

We've also found the custom dashboards to be incredibly helpful for different departments—our network team has one view, our infrastructure team another, all tailored to exactly what they need. It's like having a command centre tailored for each audience.

We also really appreciate the human side of LogicMonitor—the customer support, especially from our contact Charlton, has been outstanding. We have regular catch-up calls as needed, and it never feels like a “sell”—just genuine support, advice, and best practice sharing. It’s rare to get that kind of proactive account management these days.

**What do you dislike about LogicMonitor?**

The new GUI is a step in the right direction aesthetically, but it still feels a bit clunky in practice. For example, quickly checking basic metrics like disk space or CPU usage should be a single click away from the device page, but currently, you often have to dig through several layers of menus and graphs. That friction can be frustrating when you're troubleshooting under pressure.

Additionally, while the platform is incredibly powerful, that power can sometimes make it overwhelming for new users. A bit more onboarding guidance or a simplified view for junior engineers would go a long way.

In regards to the SMS/calls, i do wish there was a "Ack all in relation to this customer" option rather than receiving 20 calls because the internet went down.

Final Thoughts:

Despite minor UI gripes, LogicMonitor is one of the most powerful and reliable monitoring solutions we’ve used. It’s made a real impact on our uptime, on-call efficiency, and incident response workflows. Once you’ve tailored it to your environment, it’s like having a tireless virtual NOC watching over everything, 24/7.

**What problems is LogicMonitor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

LogicMonitor is solving several key problems for us across infrastructure visibility, alerting, and incident response. One of the biggest pain points it’s addressed is the lack of real-time insight into system health and performance. Before LogicMonitor, we were often reactive, only finding out about issues after users were already impacted. Now, LogicMonitor gives us complete visibility across servers, network devices, cloud services, and applications, all in one place.

The platform's intelligent alerting has transformed how we handle incidents. It doesn’t just generate noise, it filters and prioritizes alerts based on thresholds and dependencies, helping us focus on what actually matters. Combined with its ability to automatically log tickets in our ITSM system (with the right priority and assignment), it means less time spent triaging and more time resolving.

Another major benefit is for our on-call engineers. With SMS and automated call alerts, engineers get notified instantly when critical systems are down—no more relying on someone noticing an email. That’s helped us significantly reduce downtime and meet our SLAs.

Additionally, the historical data and performance trends help us with capacity planning and proactive maintenance. We can see when disk usage is trending upwards or when latency is increasing, allowing us to take action before a failure occurs.

Overall, LogicMonitor helps us move from a reactive IT model to a proactive one, improves our response times, and gives both our technical teams and stakeholders confidence that our systems are being watched 24/7.

 ### 17. Simplifies Cloud Services with Fast Support

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Krishna S. | Financial Analyst, Information Technology and Services, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 20, 2025

**What do you like best about LogicMonitor?**

I find LogicMonitor easier for coding compared to AWS or Azure. The support is generally faster than others, and I find it easy to explain to DevOps.

**What do you dislike about LogicMonitor?**

It is affected by outages in the other vendors like CrowdStrike, so that has been an issue sometimes.

**What problems is LogicMonitor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

LogicMonitor makes coding easier compared to AWS or Azure. Support is generally faster and it's easy to explain to DevOps.

 ### 18. My experience with logicmonitor has been nothing short of exceptional

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Retail | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 15, 2025

**What do you like best about LogicMonitor?**

LogicMonitor is an incredibly useful tool for any business, it helps give you a better oversight of your entire estate from your desktop environment to your on-prem server or cloud environment.
It's incredibly easy to navigate and implement into your environment in quite literally a few clicks! We also use it for on-call system to send alerts out by phone call/SMS when a major incident has happened, we use the system daily.
Both the customer support and the availability of documentation on the logicmonitor website make it really easy to integrate with many solutions such as Azure, AWS, M365 etc... I'm really pleased that we took on loigcmonitor as a vendor and wouldn't look back.

**What do you dislike about LogicMonitor?**

There isn't much to dislike about logicmonitor, the only 2 things that spring to mind are the lack of customisation in terms of colours and freedom of report customisation, it would be great if yo u could make the dashboard and reports look more 'corporate' rather than having to use standard white, black, blue and grey colours. Although there are a variety of data sources which are easy to use out of the box, there are some basic data sources that we thought of which we thought would have come as standard.

**What problems is LogicMonitor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

LogicMonitor has helped us with getting to the bottom of some business issues which have been a common occurance, we have been able to leverage the system to automatically spot trends in log files and windows event viewer. It also has provided various in depth errors when a major service outage happens with a specific system, this helps with our mean time to resolution, customer satisfaction and overall system uptime.

 ### 19. Single Pane of Glass!

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Internet | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 28, 2019

**What do you like best about LogicMonitor?**

Resource insights! Ops notes allow you to make a line to show when an event happened, then you can look at another device and see something that happened at that same time which could have triggered the critical event. results in better time to resolution.

I love the fact that if anything has an API you can query that API and then build a graph off of it in LogicMonitor.

Graphs\dahsboards are amazing!

and createing custom datasource with PowerShell and Groovy is really fun and exciting!

**What do you dislike about LogicMonitor?**

nothing at this time - I really enjoy this product! This is a truly easy product to use.

**Recommendations to others considering LogicMonitor:**

Do it! This is an amazing monitoring tool with a great implementation team

**What problems is LogicMonitor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

consolidating a few monitoring tools down to one. We went for 4 tools down to just one, I have never looked back.
the single pane of glass is amazing

 ### 22. LogicMonitor Delivers Strong Infrastructure Monitoring - our currrent bread and butter.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Utilities | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 15, 2025

**What do you like best about LogicMonitor?**

Logicmonitor improved our observability from our previous chosen solution with improvements in ease of use, unified dashboarding, scripting flexibility and being an agentless platform. This enabled its quick deployment and insight into the services we offer for our clients and streamlined the support operations.

**What do you dislike about LogicMonitor?**

The main issues are around tuning the datasources and alert threshold, this is not uncommon with obervability platforms but without careful consideration it can lead to excessive noise. There is not real inbuild case management / incident workflow although integrations with other platforms is possible. APM is currently a weakness in our view but is getting heavily invested in.

**What problems is LogicMonitor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Visibility into Infrastructure Health, reduction in monitoring gaps, dealing with issues proactively before a stakeholder is impacted, improving overall operations

 ### 23. Great network monitoring tool with cloud integrations

First, their dashboard its user friendly and can be configured for easier monitoring. Second, their alerts and logs monitoring it's powerful and comprehensive. Third is their online support, it's fast and their engineers are great.

**What do you dislike about LogicMonitor?**

The downside is you need to be aware of your cost. For us the AWS cloudwatch cost but once you configured it properly it should be smooth sailing after that.

**What problems is LogicMonitor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Easier troubleshooting where is the particular issue and cost optimization. It's makes your life easier.

 ### 25. Good, Smooth Experience

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

Dedicated project manage and technical resource assigned to the implementation, ensuring that progress was maintained.

Now we are live with Logic Monitor , there are, month calls with a dedicated Customer Success Manager.

**What do you dislike about LogicMonitor?**

Early into live service we had a technical request, that was not technically possible to do. Which was slightly disappointing. But not the end of the world. It has been added to a Feature Backlog for future releases.

**What problems is LogicMonitor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Holistic view and interconnectivity of devices across the Service supported, in order to allow us to easily, quickly and proactively identify potential issues and respond before they become an actual problem, where possible.

 ### 26. Most flexible monitoring tool I've used in 12 years

**What do you like best about LogicMonitor?**

The versatility of the tool. I can deploy standard modules in a matter of seconds across thousands of servers.

**What do you dislike about LogicMonitor?**

The new GUI to be honest. v4 GUI is way worse & slower than the old one.

**What problems is LogicMonitor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

General overview across all the infrastructure independently of the technology stack. Ability to group & merge metrics from different areas & present it to different team(s).

 ### 27. A very customisable platform

**What do you like best about LogicMonitor?**

I like the fact that you can pretty much custom develop whatever you like and bake it into the monitoring as long as you can code. We have done a number of custom developments and integrations into LM. Its fairly easy to use once you get a hang of where things are, we hit the ground running.

**What do you dislike about LogicMonitor?**

The dashboards and widgets need a little bit of work but the actual logic / alerting is solid.

**What problems is LogicMonitor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Logicmonitor has added a lot of visibility! We are enjoying seeing very specific bits of information in dashboards and reports.

 ### 28. Cloud Native Platform

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**What do you dislike about LogicMonitor?**

Heavily reliant on internet connectivity for cloud monitoring. Advanced features (like custom DataSources and LogicModules) may require training or scripting skills (e.g., Groovy, PowerShell, or Python).

Less appealing for air-gapped environments.

**What problems is LogicMonitor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Its automation, wide technology support, and integrations make it a solid choice for enterprises. However, it may not be ideal for smaller teams with limited budgets or minimal scripting expertis

No "free tier"- can be expensive for small Teams

**What problems is LogicMonitor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Centralized view of our cloud infrastructure

 ### 36. Exploring Quick Information Gathering with Top-Notch Vendors

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 15, 2025

**What do you like best about LogicMonitor?**

Centralised repository for many vendors, quickly assigning pre-made graphs to devices. Quick setup for collectors and devices with responsive customer support for assistance.

**What do you dislike about LogicMonitor?**

The amount of information gathered can be too general and leave gaps. The default settings need to be tweaked in order to provide the best outcome, some alerts that you would expect to be critical are only warnings by default. The dashboards could be better in order to provide business operations understanding.

**What problems is LogicMonitor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

LogicMonitor is helping us to centralise a wide range of on-prem and cloud devices giving us quick reactions to outages and issues.

 ### 37. Visibility and Insight simplified

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Oil & Energy | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 15, 2025

**What do you like best about LogicMonitor?**

Easy to use and deploy. Plenty of default datasource and metrics providing useful insight into infrastructure and network utilisation. Provides useful insight into infrastructure, utilisation in nearly real time as well as aiding investigation into historic incidents or issues due to data stored.

**What do you dislike about LogicMonitor?**

Better insight into Kubernetes clusters and gain useful metrics from within. Cloud monitoring/cost model means significantly expensive to monitor our cloud hosted resources compared to our on-premise/datacentre resources.

**What problems is LogicMonitor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Gaining an understanding of system utilisation at any given time, whether near-real time or historic. Helps with capacity planning, can see growth trends of systems.

 ### 38. Logicmonitor is essential to our managed service offering

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kris A. | Solutions Architect and Sales Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 05, 2024

**What do you like best about LogicMonitor?**

Features, SaaS based, Ease of implementation ,MultiTenancy

**What do you dislike about LogicMonitor?**

Native reporting engine is limited but does allow for API integration.

**What problems is LogicMonitor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Logicmonitor is delivered as cloud based solution which provided a secure and always on platform for us to leverage in our MSP offering. We required no investment in infrastrcuture and the solution was ready to deploy in a minutes. Logicmonitor works cloely with vendors to onboard key metric and aotumaically allocates alert severity indicators that we could leverage out of the box. The platorm is highly customizable but from an alerting level as well the client dashboard level, enabling us to provide client specific views of their critical infrastructure. The SLA widgets enables us to measure and report against key metrics aligned to our MSA's. Logicmonitor provides us with confidence that our clients solutions are operating optimally and dramatacically reduces our mttr.

 ### 39. As a power user, I appreciate the flexibility the API offers to build our own experience w/ the data

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Stuart W. | Service Delivery Platform Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 09, 2024

**What do you like best about LogicMonitor?**

LogicMonitor is so flexible I can do anything with it. I built a way to alert if my kids weren't spending enough time brushing their teeth. I've built hundreds of custom modules to monitor technology that is specific to our customers' needs. The question I most often get is, "Can LogicMonitor monitor _this_?" The answer is always, "Yes, it can, if the thing can be monitored."

**What do you dislike about LogicMonitor?**

Their support is understaffed. Most of the time, my issues go beyond support's skills and have to go to a back end ticket, into which I have no visibilty. Those die on the vine as often as they are resolved. LM has been working on UIv4 for 4+ years and has still yet to roll it out with any success. What they have rolled out is buggy, lacks feature parity, and was obviously designed without any knowledge of how actual users work with the product or what they need the product to do. I was excited about Dexda, but the pricing structure makes it prohibitive. The thing it's supposed to solve for, too many alerts, is how it's billed. So the finances of it drive me to manually reduce my alert noise, which is why I would want Dexda in the first place.

**What problems is LogicMonitor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We've automated LM to the point where we can onboard customers very quickly, in a matter of hours in some cases.

 ### 40. Low Touch, High Metric Reward

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Laurie S. | Infrastructure Engineer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 06, 2024

**What do you like best about LogicMonitor?**

Instead of telling your monitoring tool what you want monitored, LogicMonitor will discover a lot of the metric & data points for you, mostly out of the box and away you go. You can then very easily tweak and modify the thresholds for alerting, creating escalation chains to wake the relevant people using your Incident Management platform of choice.
Dashboards are extremely powerful and useful but also very easy to create.
Powershell features very prominently in LogicMonitor which is fantastic as it's a ubiquitious langauge in the Windows / Microsoft world and is relatively easy to write scripts/modules for.

**What do you dislike about LogicMonitor?**

Creating LogicModules (DataSources, ConfigSources etc) can be quite complicated, however this is required as they need to return data in a consistant manner.

Some things you think should be possible or work one way are not possible with LogicMonitor. Powershell is very prominent in LogicMonitor, however it is not an integration, as in, you cannot use a Powershell script in an Escalation Chain, and therefore an Alert Rule.

**What problems is LogicMonitor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Lowering critical incidents by bringing potentional problems to the surface before they can cause havoc.
Visiblity of Infrastructure to management especially during important events. App Owners are also more aware of problems with their servers & services instead of Infrastructure being the middle man

 ### 41. Does what it says on the tin, Simple and effective monitoring straight out of the box

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dominic C. | Senior Technical Consultant, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 06, 2024

**What do you like best about LogicMonitor?**

Firstly it should be noted, the logicMonitor team work their socks off to ensure you get the best out of their platform.
After coming from another major monitoring platform, i was a litle dubious at first, however once you get into it, i found LM to be far more intuititive and much easier to present the required data for our teams.
Not only does the out of the box integrations cover 99% of use cases, through further development anything is possible.

**What do you dislike about LogicMonitor?**

It's not the cheapest platform, however it is worth it..
With the migration between UI versions, it was a little frustrating at first, but bearing in mind the new UI was still in Beta, it is good to see that it is constantly being improved to smooth over those intital frustations.

**What problems is LogicMonitor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Enabling us to monitor numerous customer environments, using a comprehensive suite of tools, including LM assisting us to develop further tools to allow our customer to understand their environments better.

 ### 42. LogicMonitor - Customisable and Extensive

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nicholas H. | Technical Consultant, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 05, 2024

**What do you like best about LogicMonitor?**

The customisability of the platform is great. I use the tool daily to keep a finger on the pulse of our environment.

We've made use of the ability to build custom scripts/monitors to monitor and present dashboards for patch status and device inventory which is handy for our customers.

I also enjoy the amount of data it ingests as it allows us to get a good feel for the environment.

It was relatively simple enough to integrate with CW PSA and has a few good integrations with Meraki and other platforms.

Support is pretty good, our Account Manager and Technical team we deal with are always really helpful at providing solutions whenever they arise.

**What do you dislike about LogicMonitor?**

Monitors are all number based so pulling and displaying strings is a bit difficult within the platform from what I've seen. It was a little difficult to implement due to this.

Would be nice to be able to pull strings as a variable.

There's also a relatively steep learning curve to make use of all the features.

And it would be really nice to get proper aruba central reporting however that may be a limitation of Aruba's API rather than LogicMonitors capabilities. SNMP monitoring works fine.

**What problems is LogicMonitor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

A robust monitoring platform is a must-have for any MSP. But it needs to be customisable to fit the needs of each individual customer. While we've had other monitoring tools, LogicMonitor allows us to apply rules to the monitors in a way that makes it easier to filter out unneccessary information.

The Dynamic Thresholds functionality is great for filtering out things that are automatically scheduled (example being CPU spikes due to AV scans at a specific time of the day). It also allows us to provide a simple dashboard to executives so they can get a snapshot of their environment and how its performing.

LogicMonitor solves the problem of requiring someone online 24/7 reviewing environments. Our service desk is not a 24/7 operation however LogicMonitor provides a good early warning system when things do break after hours.

 ### 43. Enterprise Class Monitoring for Any Sized Customer

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Stephen C. | Director of IT Services, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 01, 2024

**What do you like best about LogicMonitor?**

LogicMonitor is a great monitoring tool, with huge number of out of the box datasources which meet the needs of 99% of customers. Being able to create custom datasources for that remainng 1% is great and a testament to the overall felxibility of the platform. If something can be monitored LogicMonitor is the right tool for the job.

LogicMonitor integrates with our PSA (ConnectWise) which allows us to operationalise alerts far more effectiviy when compared to comting plaftoms which lack this ability.

Customer support is gernerally very good.

**What do you dislike about LogicMonitor?**

The user interface is not perticuallry intuitive, the new interface has many improvements but right now I find that I must change frequently between the two to access what I need.

Reporting is an area that could do with improvement and should also incorporate executive style report templates.

**What problems is LogicMonitor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

LM provides a unified platform to monitor everything we need to and more for us and our cusomters.

 ### 44. Good and bad about Logicmonitor

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Thomas H. | Infrastructure Technician, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 01, 2024

**What do you like best about LogicMonitor?**

LogicMonitor supports a wide range of monitoring capabilities, including servers, networks, cloud services, containers, and applications. This breadth allows organizations to have a single pane of glass for all their monitoring needs.

The platform has a user-friendly interface and ease to deployment. LogicMonitor provides out-of-the-box integrations and automated discovery, which significantly reduces the setup time and effort required to start monitoring an infrastructure. Additionally, LogicMonitor offers a robust API, enabling seamless integration with other tools and custom workflows, enhancing its adaptability and automation potential.

**What do you dislike about LogicMonitor?**

issues with the new graphical user interface (GUI), mentioning that it can be buggy and less stable compared to the previous versions. These bugs can affect usability and efficiency.

While the platform is user-friendly for basic setups, advanced configurations can be complex and may require a deeper understanding of the system. This steep learning curve can be a challenge for new users or those without a technical background.

Without proper tuning, the alerting system can generate a significant amount of noise, leading to alert fatigue.

**What problems is LogicMonitor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

LogicMonitor continuously monitors the health and performance of IT infrastructure components, such as servers, networks, and applications. By identifying issues like disabled RDS hosts, it allows organizations to take corrective action before these issues escalate, ensuring higher availability and reliability of services.

 ### 45. Dynamic solution to meet your infrastructure monitoring needs.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Steve B. | Senior Network Engineer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 25, 2024

**What do you like best about LogicMonitor?**

Whilst out of the box LogicMonitor can monitor your infrastructure with ease, the ability to create or amend data sources to meet your specific business requirements is fantastic, it enables us as a team to meet our monitoring requirements with relative ease.

The fact that LM is SAAS based means that we do not have to spend time keeping the product up to date, especially if you configure the collectors to auto update rather than having your engineers run the upgrade, this again ensure the product is kept upto date.

The inline support functions assist with any issues you may be having with the product and most of my interactions have been perfect. The support teams are knowledgable and rarely do issues get escalated.

Deployment and integration within our infrastructure was simple and very quickly enabled us to have our network monitored to a level that greatly improved our visibility.

API Integration to retrieve data from logicmonitor to ingest into other tooling was simple to achieve with one sometimes fustrating issue.

**What do you dislike about LogicMonitor?**

Whilst the API does have ratelimiting enabled which is obviously needed, there seems to a bug or issue that could not be identified where I would start to get shunned/blocked for several hours, yet the response did not tell me I was approaching the rate limit, this seems to be solely affecting LMAuth as using a bearer I no longer experiance the issue.

**What problems is LogicMonitor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The main problem is infrastructure observability for Networks, Storage and virtualisation estates acorss all our business units, LogicMonitors dynamic and complete nature means that whilst we do need to amend or create data sources occasionally the fact is out of the box it addressing the goal of complete infrastructure visability very simply with little in the way of product administration therefore ensuring that with the dynamic and static alerting we are able to offer virtually complete visiability of our infrastructure in ways that were previously spread accross multiple tools.

 ### 46. Moving our Monitoring platform into the next generation

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 15, 2025

**What do you like best about LogicMonitor?**

The standout features of LogicMonitor is its comprehensive monitoring capabilities. It's not just about keeping an eye on servers or networks, but it also provides deep visibility into applications, cloud environments, and hybrid infrastructures.

This combined with the automation and easy integration into other tools

**What do you dislike about LogicMonitor?**

It has been a learning curve to get to grips with the solution, that and the lack of comprehensive out of the box reports

**What problems is LogicMonitor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Replacing a monitoring platform that didn't provide the needed functionality

 ### 47. More Than Monitoring

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jeff P. | Infrastructure Manager, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 29, 2024

**What do you like best about LogicMonitor?**

The software is great and has been an asset to our company. It has enabled us to have full visibility into our environment. Before using LogicMonitor, we only had visibility to a fraction of our servers and network devices. Beyond the software, the employees and support services are fantastic. Everyone we have worked with has provided great customer service. From sales to account management to the engineers we work with, all have been great and show that they care about the success of our company.

**What do you dislike about LogicMonitor?**

Like any monitoring product, it requires ongoing administration, which takes time away from our staff for projects.

**What problems is LogicMonitor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Currently, it's purely for monitoring the environment and allowing our MSP to react quickly to issues. In the future, we are looking to further the use to show the business how things are running and demonstrate our impact on operational efficiency.
