## LogicMonitor Reviews
  ### 1. Fast enterprise grade monitoring in minutes.. Dashboards in seconds

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dave S. | IT Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 28, 2019

**What do you like best about LogicMonitor?**

The intuitive consistent UI makes the app simple to use. Monitoring for on-premise and cloud infrastructure can be deployed in minutes. The product capabilities can be easily and quickly extended by pulling in modules for a vast array of hardware and software. If you can't find what you need there is always to create your own modules too. Dashboards can be generated quickly with a few clicks and thrown up on a monitor. LogicMonitor can be integrated via a number of means with 3rd party ITSM and IT operations software platforms. Having trialed a number of infrastructure monitoring products LogicMonitor was a breath of fresh air - simple and quick. If you've ever used something like SCOM you will be amazed. All this is also backed with friendly and fast support from LogicMonitor.

**What do you dislike about LogicMonitor?**

The only negative.. is really a positive. The product is being improved and expanded on a monthly basis so taking advantage of all the new improvements takes a little time.

**Recommendations to others considering LogicMonitor:**

Get a trial and see how quick and easy it is to get basic monitoring up and running.

**What problems is LogicMonitor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We struggled to make SCOM useful and needed a platform that could monitor infrastructure across offices, data centres, Microsoft Azure, AWS, Cisco cloud e.g. Meraki etc. The ultimate aim was to bring the health of all our infrastructure and applications everywhere to a single pane of glass. After trialing a number of products we stumbled on LogicMonitor and haven't looked back.

  ### 6. Fantastic monitoring tool for your full-stack!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ernie C. | Senior Virtualization Operations Engineer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 17, 2020

**What do you like best about LogicMonitor?**

LM comes with a bunch of pre-built "datasources" to help get you rolling early. But the fact that they provide great documentation and support to create your OWN datasources makes the product so much more viable for power-users. Out of the dozens of tickets I have opened with LM, I have never had an issue with Support not assisting me solve my problem!

**What do you dislike about LogicMonitor?**

The frontend is a little dated. As of Jan-2020, they're actively working on improving the styling to make it more modern, so that's promising.

The limitations with collector sample timing is also somewhat disappointing. Currently, we can only sample a resource every 1 minute. For servers, this may not be an issue - but networking gear, 60 seconds is an eternity. Would be awesome to see improvements made to SNMP monitoring on specific network gear to allow for more granular sampling rate.

**Recommendations to others considering LogicMonitor:**

Be comfortable and familiar with scripting languages. The extensibility of LM is its truest power - being able to write custom datasources really exposes what it can do!

**What problems is LogicMonitor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Companies usually jump into deploying new technology without considering how to monitor and alert on it. LogicMonitor simplifies that process tremendously. But what most companies then fail to do is collect metrics on that data over time and analyze what is normal or an anomaly. With LM, that is baked in from the start.

We have used LM to see poor response times in services that we never knew were an issue - and resolved them!

  ### 7. Very Helpful!

Ease of use. The monitor is easy to navigate and very easy to understand.

**What do you dislike about LogicMonitor?**

Nothing. The alerts are very helpful and we are able to address issues quickly and efficiently.

**What problems is LogicMonitor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have a farm of about 100 servers that we monitor.

  ### 8. LM Partner

LM has proven to be a useful product that I feel confident selling to my customers. The collaborative sales process made it clear throughout the process that we're on the same page.

**What do you dislike about LogicMonitor?**

From a partner perspective, I don't have any complaints.

**Recommendations to others considering LogicMonitor:**

Work through a partner to connect the dots between your requirements & the use case. The partner may be able to help negotiate improved terms.

Not a lot I dont like about LM, perhaps having to re create esclilation chains when needing to edit them.

Keeping our critical infrasturcture monitoired and alerted on if any issues come up. We can be more pro active about certain issues.

  ### 14. Good experience with LM.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 11, 2020

**What do you like best about LogicMonitor?**

LogicMonitor is incredibly easy to use, and most if not all of the monitoring comes out of box and is applied to devices dynamically. The SaaS based architecture saved dozens of hours a month in maintaining an on prem product. Our customer success team is always forthcoming and responsive.

**What do you dislike about LogicMonitor?**

Managing so many dynamically applied alert thresholds can be a challenge.

**Recommendations to others considering LogicMonitor:**

Go with LogicMonitor if you need something in place lightning fast with immense potential for scale. Don't be afraid to ask for a POC or implement with a small number of devices and expand.

**What problems is LogicMonitor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

LogicMonitor gives incredible visibility into our customer environments and is so simple/fast to deploy it cut down those onboarding tasks for new customers by about 80%.

  ### 16. Decent monitoring tool

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 17, 2020

**What do you like best about LogicMonitor?**

We like that it has a lot of predefined datasources, so you can really start monitoring your infrastructure with minimal efforts. On the other hand, you can build your own datasources and start checking almost anything that you need.

**What do you dislike about LogicMonitor?**

What we really need in LogicMonitor is an ability to get any text as datapoint result, send it in the alerts, and store it. For instance, it could be SQL server tables that we don't need/want to parse but we'd like to get them as is.

**Recommendations to others considering LogicMonitor:**

Learn how to develop your own datasources. This is essential if you want to use all features of LogicMonitor.

**What problems is LogicMonitor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

LogicMonitor is our main monitoring tool that we use on a daily basis. It gives us visibility of our infrastructure and it's simply our essential tool.

  ### 17. A versatile solution to all of our needs

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Internet | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 28, 2019

**What do you like best about LogicMonitor?**

There is a wide variety of network equipment that we monitor for many customers through our NOC and Contact Center. We are able to find ways to meet demands though the many capabilities of Logic Monitor.

**What do you dislike about LogicMonitor?**

It may be a matter of having been spoiled by so much already having been prepared in advance, in many cases the system just works. There are some thought exercises in best implementing alerts, temperature for example. It will follow the alerts built into the network gear with no modification, however, finding a solution that will provide earlier alerts and is acceptable to all of our customers has remained a challenge. I could some day see development of integrated options for customizing alerts such as these.

**What problems is LogicMonitor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We monitor many types of equipment and customizing these services when necessary has been a minimal challenge in most cases. The capability and reliability have been a huge benefit time and time again when we are challenged with new varieties of equipment.

  ### 18. Very good experience

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Oscar G. | COO, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 17, 2020

**What do you like best about LogicMonitor?**

The SaaS model is great. We don't have to invest in management of the solution, nor development of the additional monitoring plans.

**What do you dislike about LogicMonitor?**

Extracting data for reporting purposes is not as simple as one would like. It is not really a product issue, it is related to the amount of data that is collected, but still, it could be improved.

**What problems is LogicMonitor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps us make sure we have deep views of the systems we manage. It is very automated and reliable. The support we get is very good too.

  ### 19. LogicMonitor is a fantastic monitoring solution

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Curtis W. | System Administrator, Information Technology and Services, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 10, 2019

**What do you like best about LogicMonitor?**

The most obvious thing great thing about LogicMonitor is that it alerts us to issues before they impact users and allow us to take corrective action as soon as possible. No more waiting around to be told a service is down by the users. It allows us to see and correct minor problems before they get bigger and impact more people. The granular alert tuning on the devices is also great. It allows us to really tune the environment to our needs.

**What do you dislike about LogicMonitor?**

The downsides are that sometimes I have to get up in the middle of the night because something is down. Before I got to sleep!

**Recommendations to others considering LogicMonitor:**

Make sure you have multiple tiers of alerting for different alert statuses. You don't need a phone call for a warning on a random device. Also, you can probably get away with only monitoring certain critical infrastructure.

**What problems is LogicMonitor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It allows us to quickly confirm the health of the environment and take corrective action if something is wrong. It allows us to see and correct even minor problems before they get bigger and impact more people. The Integrations that it provides as well to Microsoft Teams is really great to be able to inform our team of an outage without having to email them.

  ### 20. Excellent monitoring solution

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Adam G. | Pre-Sales EUC/Mobility Technical Architect & Cyber Security Consultant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 29, 2019

**What do you like best about LogicMonitor?**

The customisable dashboard makes it easy to have all the information that is important to you immediately available and has helped us to react quickly to problems as they develop rather than waiting to be raised.

**What do you dislike about LogicMonitor?**

None that I have encountered, other solutions may do certain things slightly differently that may suit some better but I find LogicMonitor works well for us.

**Recommendations to others considering LogicMonitor:**

If you want something to use that is effective at what it does - look no further!

**What problems is LogicMonitor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Network and website outages mainly, we get visibility very quickly as potential issues develop allowing us to react and fix the problem before it really gets noticed.

  ### 21. LogicMonitor: the easy to configure monitoring platform.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dario B. | Media Strategist, Marketing and Advertising, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 13, 2019

**What do you like best about LogicMonitor?**

An excellent platform with which you can configure and collect useful data in just minutes. Something I love is that it is cloud based and low maintenance. Its panels are very easy to configure and customize. LogicMonitor connects very well with the ticket system for creating, updating and closing cases. It has a very intuitive and consistent interface which makes the application easy to use. And what I really like is that if you don't find what you need you can create your own modules, since your panels can generate them with just a few clicks and they appear on the monitor.

**What do you dislike about LogicMonitor?**

This is a great monitoring tool, but I think that if they provided some easy method to monitor the records, this would be really useful. And in some cases we don't get the data source of some devices, which should be able to improve it.

**Recommendations to others considering LogicMonitor:**

LogicMonitor is a relatively very simple platform to implement in a company, since it does not have to require agents in the supervised endpoints, this simplifies its implementation. It is very ideal for medium to large environments, it monitors the most modern IT systems with very flexible alert options. The tracking is extremely accurate and provides an extremely concise dashboard that allows you to monitor all the most critical systems from one location.

**What problems is LogicMonitor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As a monitoring tool, it helps us see where a problem is happening and we can send emails to open tickets for our help teams. It is also used to execute uptime and usage reports for our managers and CEO. LogicMonitor helps us address monitoring problems, especially our physical and virtual infrastructure at all levels.

  ### 22. Flexible and Powerful Monitoring Solution

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sean F. | Infrastructure Manager, Information Technology and Services, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 27, 2019

**What do you like best about LogicMonitor?**

Logicmonitor has the capability to ingest multiple types of data, sourcing from WMI, PerfMon, SNMP, and a variety of scripting tools to access device-specific API's. It does so without an agent, and with that level of flexibility, we can focus on tuning our alerting with the assurance that if there is a metric we see, there is a strong chance we can measure it.

**What do you dislike about LogicMonitor?**

I find the alerting dashboard shortcut on the UI should be customizable. I have multiple "tenant" departments in my org and dislike the extra step to get to the appropriate alerts screen.

**Recommendations to others considering LogicMonitor:**

It is very easy to start to use, spend time considering the way you want to organize your infrastructure, applications, and alerting. It can be messy at scale if architecture isn't planned out in advance.

**What problems is LogicMonitor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have integrated LM into our everyday work. The app is the first thing we look at in the morning, all our team members keep at least one of the customizable dashboards on their desktops at all times. We have put metrics to all our infrastructure and services.

  ### 23. Excellent Monitoring and Alerting Tool

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 05, 2018

**What do you like best about LogicMonitor?**

LogicMonitor is a very stable and expandable platform. They are constantly updating their Datasources to make it easier and easier to monitor and import devices with little to no effort.

**What do you dislike about LogicMonitor?**

There is no easy way to import a MIB to monitor something that isn't prebuilt. You have to manually build out everything.
The reporting system is horrible. To accomplish most reports we have to use the API. You can't simply say give me a report for all Cisco devices. You have to create a dynamic group then report off of that group.

**Recommendations to others considering LogicMonitor:**

Great system that works for almost everything. Reporting is a little weak yet, but they keep adding to it.

**What problems is LogicMonitor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Dashboarding helps our customers get a better insight into their environment. It also helps us to size out future projects for the customer based on availability and reporting metrics.

  ### 24. Great Monitoring Product

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 21, 2020

**What do you like best about LogicMonitor?**

Provides good out of the box support for most devices in the enterprise network setting.

**What do you dislike about LogicMonitor?**

Can be a bit confusing to determine what all certain modules do or don't do.

Provides real-time uptime monitoring and helps identify network bottlenecks.

  ### 25. Easy to use.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**What problems is LogicMonitor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Website monitoring is the big one for me

  ### 27. Simple monitoring of everything

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Greg P. | Senior Server and Storage Engineer, Information Technology and Services, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 28, 2019

**What do you like best about LogicMonitor?**

Simple billing model which allows you to monitor multiple different types of devices without having to purchase expensive modules. Setup your account and monitoring anything and everything. Cloud based and low maintenance, having a on-premise collectors are very low maintenance and do not require any significant configuration, none once deployed.

**What do you dislike about LogicMonitor?**

You do need a module for doing configuration management such as network device configuration tracking. All the other features are available as is out of the box so this is strange.

**Recommendations to others considering LogicMonitor:**

The pay per node model is very convenient and easy to get business buy in, pay as you grow and true up once when you need to. The decreasing cost per node over your whole estate is an attractive proposition too.

**What problems is LogicMonitor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Simple dash board creation with easy customisation for roles and link sharing or automated reporting for management

  ### 28. Logic Monitor Review

  ### 30. Rough at first, but finally learned to not ask it what it can't do.

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Brian M. | Infrastructure Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 24, 2019

**What do you like best about LogicMonitor?**

A lot of data sources that I just add and they auto discover, no configurations of flat files, etc like nagios.

**What do you dislike about LogicMonitor?**

The API is less than exciting.
Just now getting support beyond snmp polling for linux hosts, works. but still rough.
Groovy script. I mean, really? I have to know python, bash, vbscript, puppet dsl, read java/perl, and now toss groovy in there too. Woulda killed for some proper python script support, but hey, you're always adding stuff.. so who knows.. maybe its already there and I missed it.

Oh, Also. I went to AWS re:invent in 2017, saw one of your associates handing out those cool glowing rubber balls, was a really nice guy. Told him I'm an active customer and he directed me to the LM booth, as existing customers got a LM Hoody. I was utterly beside myself walking over to the booth.. I'm fond of hoodies, and I'd sport a LM hoody like a rockstar. However... When I arrived the rep at the booth let me know there were shipping delays with UPS, so to come back the second day. I returned again, wide eyed and excited.. to only find out, Shipping delays, this time.. with fedex? Come back the third day. Okk.. I literally came to the booth all three days. I really was looking forward to a bright blue LM hoody. I woulda worn that at work far too often, most elsewhere as well. However..

No hoody. I was more disappointed than anyone should be over free stuff, I admit, but I was.

**What problems is LogicMonitor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We find out when our stuff breaks, or should i say, find out people have been ignoring alerts.
Auto-discovery is great.

  ### 31. One of the best monitoring tool !

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 25, 2020

**What do you like best about LogicMonitor?**

I like that logicmonitor as it is a coding platform that also monitors

**What do you dislike about LogicMonitor?**

I dislike that you cannot easily reference previous datapoints when you are developing datasources

**What problems is LogicMonitor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are writing integrations between many of our systems, with logicmonitor feeding a lot of data.

  ### 33. Ultimate Monitoring Tool

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 26, 2020

**What do you like best about LogicMonitor?**

It has nice visual presentation that we can put up on screens in our NOC room to show the health of systems we monitor, its easy to use and support is exceptional!

**What do you dislike about LogicMonitor?**

Truth be told we're very happy with the product, no complaints and it keeps updating very regulary.

**What problems is LogicMonitor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Proactive monitoring.

  ### 34. Great highly customizable platform

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Paul G. | Senior Systems Engineer, Information Technology and Services, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 24, 2019

**What do you like best about LogicMonitor?**

I like that the platform has tons of capability out of the box. If more sophisticated monitoring is required, the platform can be completely customized to accomplish the exact requirement.

**What do you dislike about LogicMonitor?**

I dislike that the platform does not natively support cascading alerts, but I've heard from the the team that they are working on adding this feature and that it is planned in a future release.

**Recommendations to others considering LogicMonitor:**

Give the platform a try. It's feature filled and can easily be customized to suit the needs of your company, or the company you're implementing it for.

**What problems is LogicMonitor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

With the ability to completely customize the product, I've been able to uncover issues and reduce noise by tailoring alerts and monitoring to each specific need. This has given clients and IT support insight in to many issues and potential issues.

  ### 35. Logicmonitor rocks!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Iván M. | Technical Team Lead, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 21, 2018

**What do you like best about LogicMonitor?**

Logicmonitor is an amazing product that give us entire visibility into our network and improve our speed to troubleshoot any problem

**What do you dislike about LogicMonitor?**

nothing , I think this solution is perfect

**Recommendations to others considering LogicMonitor:**

The deployment in all the infrastructure, whether you have a datacenter or a small rack, is in minutes with incredible graphics

**What problems is LogicMonitor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Mainly improve the speed of the alert and to know the issues, also the web UI is even better

  ### 36. LM is very good monitoring tool with many features

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Telecommunications | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 27, 2019

**What do you like best about LogicMonitor?**

Using LM we are able to see the performance trend across the servers, network devices, AWS cloud instances, our application etc and we can easily catch hold of the issues before it hits production impact.
This will give us tweak our alert thresholds in three levels which is really helpful. We can customize our datasources as per our requirement that will help us create most of our monitoring requirements.

**What do you dislike about LogicMonitor?**

I know LM is not a log monitoring tool, however I believe if they provide some easy methods to monitor our logs will really helpful. Also in some case we will not get the readily available datasource of some devices, and that is expected. If they provide datasources as per the requirement in timely manner its really helpful.

**What problems is LogicMonitor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Many issues we catch before it impact our production. LM is really helping to improve reliability of our platform.

  ### 37. Simple to use, simple to deploy

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 17, 2020

**What do you like best about LogicMonitor?**

The data source matching enables me to add any type of device and the tool dynamically matches the source from the cloud. The support levels are awesome and we can chat directly with support within seconds.

**What do you dislike about LogicMonitor?**

The cost of licensing is quite high compared to some rivals

**Recommendations to others considering LogicMonitor:**

Get a trial and you will soon move to a full service

**What problems is LogicMonitor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are helping our customers identify issues quickly and at times before they notice

  ### 38. More than just monitoring with an excellent customer journey

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Bjorn S. | Teamcoördinator ICT, Support en Beheer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 01, 2019

**What do you like best about LogicMonitor?**

The software itself works perfectly for our organisation as is contains a lot of features. But besides the software, Logicmonitor does a lot to stay in contact with their customers to try and improve their product with the feedback that they receive. The customer journey of LogicMonitor is one of the best i have seen untill now.

**What do you dislike about LogicMonitor?**

The lack of MFA in the software. This is a general concern but because the portal contains a remote desktop functionality, this becomes a real threat without the ability to use MFA.

**What problems is LogicMonitor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The most value is coming from the monitoring of our IT-infrastructure and knowing there is an issue before our end users notice anything.

  ### 39. The best cloud solution for performance and uptime monitoring.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Richard G. | Infrastructure Manager, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 13, 2019

**What do you like best about LogicMonitor?**

LogicMonitor is intuitive and easy to use. This does not mean it lacks advanced features, it has all the features for performance and uptime monitoring that you would expect. You can be set up and gathering useful data in a matter of minutes, and alerting and reporting accurately on that data in hours. Unlike other tools out there which can take days to set up and weeks and months to craft into something useful.

**What do you dislike about LogicMonitor?**

Everything is great about LogicMonitor, except; LMConfig add-on is a massive disappointment. I wouldn't recommend paying for this add on, and think LogicMonitor are a bit cheeky charging for it. It's so lacking in features they are better just giving it away for free or hiding it until it's much more fully featured.

**Recommendations to others considering LogicMonitor:**

If you want a cloud based performance and uptime monitoring system which can monitor everything from servers into network switches and routers. If you need it to be easy to deploy and easy to drill into the deta on the fly, then look no further. This is exactly what you want. Perfection does come at a price, however.

**What problems is LogicMonitor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use LM for Uptime and performance monitoring, in replacement of our Solarwinds system. Solarwinds look like amateurs compared to LogicMonitor.

  ### 40. Simple to use with complex, advanced possibilities and incredible support

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Will S. | Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 08, 2019

**What do you like best about LogicMonitor?**

Getting assistance from someone knowledgable is easy. From quick config questions to complex custom datasources, we've been able to get someone on chat or email in a short amount of time. They even have the ability to help build custom datasources, and help adjust current datasources. We've been able to through a few unique use-cases at them that got their team excited and involved.

**What do you dislike about LogicMonitor?**

No good mobile web-UI nor app. Responding to an email or SMS is easy and does the job, but being able to view a graph or dashboard on a phone while remote would be a huge improvement. Even just a mobile version of the website would be helpful. Some additional color themes would be cool for dashboards, but aren't a deal-breaker. They're working on connections, so that, for example, a switch going down doesn't trigger an alert for every device connected to that switch...once that topology is fully developed, this will be unstoppable.

**Recommendations to others considering LogicMonitor:**

Take advantage of any setup assistance they provide, as it can be a huge help figuring out what is possible. There are lots of ways to fine-tune thresholds and alerting channels. Consider using the API to adjust on-call rotations.

**What problems is LogicMonitor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We're getting early warnings that something may be wrong, and are able to inform the correct person(s) before waking up an entire team. We cycle through multiple dashboards and can easily spot anomalies. The dashboards have given us a quick glance, while the ability to look at previous data helps us view long-term trends.

  ### 41. LogicMonitor Review

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 24, 2019

**What do you like best about LogicMonitor?**

We primarily use LogicMonitor for monitoring physical devices via SNMP polling. Here are a few things I like about LogicMonitor regarding this:
- Device Groups - Since we share a single LM instance across our entire company, being able to categorize devices into multiple groups and sub-groups is very useful for both organization and alert rules
- The process for creating customer data sources and graphs (from data points) is pretty straight forward and easy
- Being able to toggle alerting on/off and configure alert tuning for particular instances is very convenient
- Web GUI is pretty good and easy to navigate

**What do you dislike about LogicMonitor?**

- Since we share a single instance across an entire company and our current implementation of the alert rules system is pretty chaotic. I just have to hope that no one unintentionally creates a broad rule w/a lower priority that steal's my team's alerts. It would be great if you could partition an LM instance by "team" so each team's partition has it's own isolated devices and rules that do not interfere with each other.
- The mobile app leaves a lot to be desired. I would like to be able to filter alerts by device group name. Also browse devices and view graphs like you can in the Web GUI
- It would be nice if you use MIBs instead of just OIDs when setting up data sources

**What problems is LogicMonitor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

A single platform for monitoring all our physical devices.

  ### 42. Quickly deployable and highly scalable

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dale N. | Associate Director of Volunteering, Oil & Energy, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 27, 2019

**What do you like best about LogicMonitor?**

The ability to drill down into the Infrastructure and Networking metrics in a simple user interface is a big selling point of the platform

**What do you dislike about LogicMonitor?**

The dependency mapping feature, whilst in its' infancy, is still clunky and requires more maturity. I use Azure Service Map for dependency mapping at this point in time but I hope to use LogicMonitor for this as a single pane of glass system.

**Recommendations to others considering LogicMonitor:**

Implement with a trained System Admin and also an experienced system engineer

**What problems is LogicMonitor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Single pane of glass across multiple departments.
Visibility of important IT metrics from an executive POV

  ### 43. Good tool, easy to use, easy to customize

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** idan l. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 11, 2020

**What do you like best about LogicMonitor?**

I've been using LogicMonitor for a few years after I used other tools before like SCOM, HPOV and more.
LogicMonitors one of the best tools, easy to use, easy to customize

**What do you dislike about LogicMonitor?**

Can be more build in monitor data sources

**What problems is LogicMonitor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Global monitor tool from a single dashbaords

  ### 44. Works for Enterprise Solutions

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Internet | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 29, 2019

**What do you like best about LogicMonitor?**

I love the fact that I can setup a dashboard view to see the servers I am in charge of. As well as the search feature on the system. I also like that it can sync with other systems( Such as Jira and Pager duty

**What do you dislike about LogicMonitor?**

I would say the color schema is the worst, and that's not really an issue. The only issue I have is I haven't learned all it can do. With help form Others and your support team I have learned more and more of what it can do .

**What problems is LogicMonitor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Love that it gives me the real information I need to Administer my systems, in one single dashboard. and give me a away to search for items when I am on Call

  ### 45. Our Go-to Tool For Monitoring and Troubleshooting IT Infrastructure

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jeremy W. | CEO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 24, 2019

**What do you like best about LogicMonitor?**

Time-series graphs with the ability to zoom in. Out-of-the box functionality is tremendous. We can point it at a device and start getting useful data immediately. The cloud interface and reliability of the product are awesome.

**What do you dislike about LogicMonitor?**

I was upset when they released configuration management as an expensive extra feature. The contract negotiation process is painful, with LogicMonitor attempting to raise prices way above what's justified.

**Recommendations to others considering LogicMonitor:**

Invest the time to create useful dashboards. The data is great, but dashboards are where LogicMonitor really shines day-to-day.

**What problems is LogicMonitor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are able to quickly diagnose network issues and complete root-cause-analysis in a fraction of the time it took before LogicMonitor.

  ### 46. Awesome product.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alex O. | Sr Infrastructure Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 25, 2019

**What do you like best about LogicMonitor?**

I really like LogicMonitor because i do not have to implement a lot of servers on premises or install agents on my monitored devices. I also love that once I add devices to LogicMonitor, it automatically starts monitoring all metrics on the devices that can be monitored. Another benefit is the very large list of third parties that we can integrate into LogicMonitor.

**What do you dislike about LogicMonitor?**

There is very little I dislike about LogicMonitor. One of the things missing that I would like to see would be the ability to run scripts after an alert is received (like for starting windows services).

**Recommendations to others considering LogicMonitor:**

Review the features, documentation, and third party integrations on the LogicMonitor site to see all the awesome things it can do.

**What problems is LogicMonitor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It has made device management so much easier and has really helped make us aware of potential application issues and incidents.

  ### 47. Logicmonitor efficiency

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nicky L. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 17, 2020

**What do you like best about LogicMonitor?**

It alerts us when devices or servers go down which helps us maintain stable environments for our clients.

**What do you dislike about LogicMonitor?**

Big learning curve to fully utilize Logicmonitor in clients environment.

**What problems is LogicMonitor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

24/7 monitoring on devices and servers. Keeps up to date on the health of all devices.

  ### 48. Best of the best

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 11, 2019

**What do you like best about LogicMonitor?**

Pricing and monitoring capabilities. Nothing can beat a single price for a single device.

**What do you dislike about LogicMonitor?**

Pricing can be too steep until you onboard enough devices.

**What problems is LogicMonitor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Saving time and uneeded messages from person to another 'what's going on with our systems?'

  ### 49. Super Flexible, does just about everything.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Abelicio P. | Operations Center Supervisor, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 25, 2019

**What do you like best about LogicMonitor?**

If you can script it, you can do it. Super extensible, but also very usable out of the box. You can use their built in datasources, or create your own to do almost anything. There is also a big community that shares their own datasources they have written on their own that can be used.

You can also tokenize dashboards, which allows you to use them with various departments or customers. They can be dynamically filled with resources so that you don't need to build them each time you add something. The context support link in the portal is super helpful as well.

**What do you dislike about LogicMonitor?**

A bit overwhelming at first. There is so much you can do that you don't know about immediately. Building datasources and datapoints is not intuitive, however, there is support built into the portal to help with this.

**Recommendations to others considering LogicMonitor:**

Support and integrations are awesome and make usage much easier.

**What problems is LogicMonitor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Monitoring complex data out to get those metrics that you can't get out of the box

  ### 50. Great product and even better support.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Josh B. | Network Administrator, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 08, 2019

**What do you like best about LogicMonitor?**

The alerts have been a life saver for my organization.

**What do you dislike about LogicMonitor?**

Initial setup can be challenging to fine tune the features you prefer. Our LogicMonitor rep has been very helpful in getting our system dialed in, but it does take some initial effort.

**Recommendations to others considering LogicMonitor:**

We used free software for years and made it work. But LogicMonitor has been worth every penny.

**What problems is LogicMonitor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We immediately started seeing notifications for issues that we were unaware of. With both servers and network equipment we were able to diagnose and fix issues that had been going on for years prior. In addition the cloud based system is great for offering alerts to our mobile devices after hours which has all but eliminated the need for a staff member to be "on-call" as we are able to tune alerts to the appropriate employee.
