Logi Simphony is a great product with awesome features, like an ETL layer with cache on it, pixel perfect dahboards and reports, data annotation, email and data driven notifications and so much more. **What do you dislike about Logi Symphony?** The javascript API for integrating and embedding documentation needs some improvement regarding the code examples. **Recommendations to others considering Logi Symphony:** If you are new to DundasBI, you should check the Dundas community site, it includes users forum, tips and tricks. Using JavaScript and CSS, you can step up functionalities and make them custom to your objectives—a good amount of built-in graphs and charts that would handle diverse reports and data formats. Dundas BI is my go-to data viz tool for making a highly customized dashboard! I have used it every day, for at least 6-7 hours a day, for the last 16 months. **What do you dislike about Logi Symphony?** The product has many "gotchas" and some unwanted behaviours that sometimes are not solved by support or future updates. Despite customer support being very responsive, the time it takes for a solution can be months long, and some don't have a solution. Intermittent bugs and some other types of faulty features The Developer Seat limitation is also an immense dislike on Dundas BI, as you can only develop and fully edit with limited user seats, creating an unnecessary paywall for customers. At the same time, the supplier operations costs are not being impacted by this. A different license system, in that sense, would be beneficial. Removing the forum discussions was a big setback as there was no way to connect with others and explore the many use cases and scripting one could use to solve the problem. Dundas BI documentation is shallow and sometimes ambiguous, so if the customer support is sometimes limited and there is no community or board to share/absorb knowledge, how will the developers make the product better? **What problems is Logi Symphony solving and how is that benefiting you?** The company is enhancing user experience and interface with newer and modern looks. Also, bugs from previous versions were improved, and new features like frameless embedding were added. ### 3. I'm still working to learn the "scripting" features which open up even more options but require a much more detailed understanding of python which isn't needed for the more basic work. **What do you dislike about Logi Symphony?** There are a few "unhappy Easter eggs", such as that if a formula returns a null in the first row of a table then all of the rows won't show data, even though the formula is valid for them. There's an opportunity to improve the software by adding feedback on what is wrong when a metric set fails. Often the failure report is generic and doesn't provide detail or actionable feedback. We need something that tells us where to look to solve the problem. **What problems is Logi Symphony solving and how is that benefiting you?** Dundas is great for automated reporting. We have several reports that are sent out each month in additional to dashboards custom built for each level of our organization which are used daily. We've used Dundas to create applications that include data entry by the users. This gives us, at much less cost and time investment, tools for our specific needs without having to go outside the company. The team on the "help desk", specifically Ayush Mukherjee, have been very patient and helpful. We've called on them more than once and had our issues solved and received valuable training and user tips at the same time. ### 4.
