When used in conjunction with LMS's like Canvas, it helps keep students "locked" into LDB to take their quizzes and exams and not be able to open other tabs to Google answers or open other programs or files on their computer to use or view. Thanks to using responds, my Touch Bar no longer works. After having to use respondus in the past, I would need to go to my activity monitor to force quit my control strip and Touch Bar in order to reset it...or I had to restart my MacBook after using the software. Well, after getting this crappy update now my Touch Bar is frozen and won't work at all... thanks to respondus. I am now having to take my computer into Apple because I have lost an incredible amount of function. I would not recommend this software to a soul and I firmly believe that there has to be something better out there. If there are any cost damages to my MacBook I will do what I can to make sure this company is financially reliable, as it is 100% this softwares fault. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It does not work on all computers, I had to borrow a friends computer for a test. It is also not easy to use, even when I used my friends computer we still had to navigate settings to get the software to run and it was still buggy and disconnected from my camera halfway through the test which seriously hindered my testing window. would never recommend. LockDown browser is very good for testing and interviewing purposes where allowing a google search or any other means of copying information is forbidden. I like that it checks all the running apps and request to end their task if it would access the camera at the start itself.
