What do you like best about Localazy?

I like the way you can have separate projects that still share translations. In our case we have an iOS app, web app, and Android app. They all have their own unique way of managing localized strings, and each has at least a few unique strings. Locality's organization allows us to have a separate project for each platform with its unique keys and structure while still reusing translations between the projects.

Although we haven't used them yet, I also like the integration options (API, SDKs, etc.). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Localazy?

We've had a couple of instances where the human translations were taking a long time. We reached out to Localazy and they got it addressed, but it would be better to not have to contact them in the first place. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Localazy?

Localazy is a great transaltion tool at an affordable price point. For things like apps where you are not updating content in a regualr basis you don't want a tool that charges for a limited number of strings. Also the pricing doesn't charge extra for additional langauges. Great for when you have lots of languages like we do.

The interface is OK and works weel. The command line tools are also pretty good once you get the hang of them and your project configured. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Localazy?

AI based translations could be included in the lower level plans. The interface could be updated to allow you to find and translate missing content more easily. Integration with paid for translations could be a bit better. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Localazy?

1. Versions. It's great to be able to see the previous versions of keys, who created them and when.

2. One-click copying the keys. Very convenient.

3. You can easily view the strings that haven't been translated.

4. Integration with Figma. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Localazy?

1. There is no history to track name changes for the source key.

2. When you add a new key, there's no option to add a translation. So, you have to add the new key in the source language, then click on "Save & add next", then close the window, go find the key and then add a translation. This flow could be improved.

3. If your browser window is not full-size, there's no button to add a new key.

4. When you search for a key, land on the search results page and then click back, it brings you to the project homepage instead of opening the page from which you performed the search. This is probably the most annoying thing for me so far.

5. Pointing out inconsistent punctuation between the source language and the translation language is odd. Different languages have different punctuation rules.

UPD: Localazy has been updating its UX in the right direction, so I'm updating my rating. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Petr Hodný of Localazy

Hi Mikhail! Thank you for your review and the tips on improving the UX.

We definitely need to work on points 1 to 3. Thank you for pointing them out!

The search is designed to behave as a filter, and there is a button to clear the search and/or all applied filters right in the toolbar where you put your query. And since there is no dedicated search results page, the back button takes you back to the languages overview. I hope you can get used to this :)

And some good news: We already addressed the issue with translation validation. You can dismiss these warnings for specific strings. You can learn more in the linked Release Update from April 2024.

Happy localizing!

What do you like best about Localazy?

Localazy allows us to have our app translated in over a dozen languages with the help of our users.

In particular I like their reverse-translation feature that allows us to review the localized text back into english, to check that what was translated was indeed correctly translated. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Localazy?

One feature we'd like to still see is the ability to tag people in comments on localization strings. When we have multiple comments on a particular string and we wish to answer a specific person, we currently can't @ them to make it clear who we're responding to. What do you like best about Localazy?

I've been using Localazy for over 3 years now, and it's been a lifesaver for localizing my projects. It's super easy to use, even for people who aren't tech-savvy, and getting started was a breeze thanks to their clear instructions.

The translators I work with also find it user-friendly, which makes the whole localization process nice and smooth. Plus, the Localazy team is always there to help if I ever run into any issues.

They've got a great support system!

Localazy is constantly being updated with new features, so I know I'm always using the latest and greatest tools.

Overall, I highly recommend Localazy for anyone who needs to localize their projects.

Localize with ease. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Localazy?

No complaints at all. If you face any issues, just contact them, everything will be solved pretty quick. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Localazy?

- The Localazy platform is simple and intuitive to use, yet offers many features which allows for a lot of flexibility. Integrating it with our product was as easy as following the documentation.

- Our translators love how fast it is to translate in Localazy, thanks to the many features (machine translations, notes, screenshots, version history, ...).

- The Localazy CLI is a great tool for automating the process of uploading and downloading translations.

- The support team answers quickly and is always ready to help.

- Simply looks better than the competitors

Update after almost 2 years of using Localazy: this tool is still amazing! Collaboration between developers and translators has drastically improved since we made the switch. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Localazy?

- Some tiny bugs in the Localazy platform, although this rarely is a problem. Bugs can be reported to the support team who will quickly provide a solution.

- Took some time to figure out exactly what flow we should use for our particular team and product. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Petr Hodný of Localazy

Hi Jonas! Thanks for the review! 💙

It's great to hear that Localazy helped you manage your translations more efficiently. Getting rid of spreadsheets is the first step towards efficient translation management.

We're committed to continuously improving our platform to meet your localization needs better, so if you find anything that could be improved, please contact us anytime.

We are also planning a series of articles outlining the different localization workflow setups for development teams, so stay tuned 😊.

Happy localizing!

What do you like best about Localazy?

The best tooling to manage translations I have tried so far. I use it for my current development app and I like it.

Best made for devs as it's CLI based. But they provide also a nice GUI.

Its easy integrated using single config file and then using CLI commands to upload/download.

Auto translations with multiple translation tools (translators or AI...) I can choose from.

The support seems to be good ppl however not responding very quickly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Localazy?

I didn't find a way to edit raw JSON files online.

It keeps track of historical strings not sure how to get rid of it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Localazy?

There are so many essential features of Localazy that help us a lot. Multi-language management for muti-platform was a big hassle without Localazy. We have apps for iOS, Android, and WebUI. They share the same messages, but the format for each platform is quite different. Having the product managers, the UI/UX designer and the developers understand each other and how the messages are organized is quite a challenge. Luckily we have Localazy to solve all these troubles. The most vital features for us are "Multiplatform management," "Figma Integration," and "Duplicity Resolving." Localazy Dashboard and CLI are easy to use. All our messages are managed on Localazy. That helps everyone in the development team. Anyone planning to develop multi-language, multi-platform applications will face the same issues. Consider using Localazy to get rid of these hassles. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Localazy?

"Duplicity Resolving" can only be done through API calls. The linked items shown on the Dashboard are read-only. It would be great if the Localazt team could make it creatable and editable through Dashboard. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Petr Hodný of Localazy

Hi Samson! Thank you for your review! Just to clarify for G2 visitors, the Duplicity Resolving feature can be managed in the user interface. You don't have to manage it via API only. Please see the linked guide for more information on how to manage and link duplicates using the Localazy Console :) Cheers!
