Litum Reviews & Product Details

Safe, efficient operations depend on awareness: knowing where people and equipment are, and what is happening around them. Litum brings that awareness to industrial and healthcare environments in real time. Litum delivers location-aware operational intelligence. It turns real-time data about how people, assets and vehicles move and interact into insight that improves safety, utilization and performance, from production floors and distribution centers to energy sites and hospital campuses. Since 2004, more than 120 customers in over 50 countries, many of them Fortune 500 companies, have relied on Litum to protect their people and run their operations more efficiently. HOW TEAMS USE LITUM Many operations still run on judgment calls made with incomplete information. Equipment gets searched for rather than found. Evacuation headcounts happen on clipboards. Forklift near misses go unrecorded, so the risk stays invisible until something goes wrong. Litum turns location, movement and proximity data into evidence, in the moment and over time. - Visibility: who and what is where, right now, on one live map of the facility. - Action: alerts the moment someone is at risk, from collision warnings and falls to panic buttons and zone breaches. - Insight: dashboards, heat maps and event history that show how the operation performs and where near misses and delays repeat. - Improvement: patterns that show what to change in layouts, routes, staffing and fleet size, and whether the change worked. For a nurse, that means finding the infusion pump they need without walking the halls. For a caregiver in senior living, an alert as soon as a resident at risk of wandering approaches an exit. For a safety manager, seeing who has reached the muster point and who has not. For a fleet manager, knowing how many forklifts the site really needs. For an operations leader, seeing where bottlenecks slow the day down, with the evidence to fix them. PRODUCTS Litum products are organized around the operational challenges they solve, and all run on one platform. Industrial 1) Safety and risk reduction - Forklift Safety and Telematics: Close calls between forklifts and pedestrians often go unrecorded. PathAware® warns operators in real time, with no wearables needed, and turns every alert into safety reports that show where and when risk occurs. Operator access control, pre-use inspections and utilization data are also available. - Worker Safety: A worker who falls or is hurt while alone may be unable to call for help. Worker Safety adds man-down detection, panic buttons and restricted-zone alerts, and every alarm carries an exact location, so responders reach the person instead of searching for them. - Emergency Mustering: In an evacuation, paper roll calls are slow and leave doubt about who is still inside. Emergency Mustering gives a live roll call by assembly zone, and every drill or real evacuation ends with a verified headcount and a record for audits. 2) Asset and fleet optimization - Asset Tracking: Production waits while someone searches for a missing cart, tool or cage. Asset Tracking puts every tagged item on a live facility map, with dwell-time history and loss alerts. - Forklift Tracking: Forklift fleets are often sized by estimate. Forklift Tracking shows location, load status and utilization per vehicle and shift, revealing idle time, congestion hotspots and the fleet size the site really needs. It works on its own or alongside PathAware. 3) Workforce visibility and productivity - Connected Worker: On large sites, it is hard to say who is on site or which zones they work in. Connected Worker gives a live headcount by zone and shift, including contractors and visitors, and shows where time on task builds up. 4) Operational efficiency and flow - Process Tracking: Job status often comes from paper logs and floor walks. Process Tracking shows station-by-station progress for every unit and work order, with cycle times and bottlenecks in view. - Yard Management: Trailer status often depends on radio calls and yard walks. Yard Management shows every trailer from gate to dock, with dwell times and dock door utilization. Healthcare 1) Safety and protection - Staff Duress: When a situation turns aggressive, staff may have seconds to call for help and no time to explain where they are. One press of a badge button, or an automatic man-down alert, sends responders to their exact room. - Infant Security: Maternity units need to know immediately if an infant is moved without authorization. Infant Security pairs mother and baby at birth, alerts staff if a tag is removed or a band is cut, and can lock down exits and elevators. - Wander Management: Patients with dementia can leave a safe area in moments. Wander Management alerts staff as an at-risk patient approaches a door or perimeter, without confining anyone. - Senior Living Safety: Caregivers cannot keep every resident in sight at all times. Senior Living Safety alerts staff when a resident approaches an exit or has not moved for too long, so help arrives sooner. - Emergency Mustering: Evacuating a hospital means accounting for staff across many floors and departments. Emergency Mustering automates the headcount and shows who still needs to be found. 2) Operational efficiency and flow - Staff Workflow: Staffing decisions often rest on estimates. Staff Workflow measures coverage, visit frequency and time at the bedside unit by unit, with rounding records for audits and nurse call integration. - Patient Flow: Long waits frustrate patients and strain staff. Patient Flow records arrival, waiting and departure automatically, with no manual check-in, so delays surface while they can still be fixed. 3) Asset and resource optimization - Medical Asset Tracking: Nurses lose time every shift hunting for equipment, and hospitals often rent or buy more to compensate. With Medical Asset Tracking, pumps, beds, wheelchairs and monitors report their room, and utilization data supports buy, rent or redeploy decisions. WHAT SETS LITUM APART One platform, many problems solved. Safety, asset visibility, workforce and process efficiency run on the same platform. A site can start with one product and add others on infrastructure it has already paid for, with no second vendor and no rebuild. Precision matched to the decision. Litum combines UWB, BLE, RFID and GPS in one real-time location stack: sub-meter precision where safety depends on it, lower-cost zone-level coverage where it does not. Hardware certified for ATEX Zone 1 and Zone 2 extends coverage into hazardous areas. End-to-end accountability. Hardware, location engine, applications, deployment and support all come from one company, so the data teams act on is data Litum stands behind. Fits existing systems. Open APIs connect Litum to ERP, WMS, MES and CMMS in industrial settings, and to EHR, nurse call and access control in hospitals, with cloud or on-premises deployment. Proven at scale. More than 1,000,000 assets tracked, 250,000 people working inside covered zones, 17,000 forklifts running Litum products and 300 million square feet under coverage. Results include 90% faster asset retrieval and ~$300K in annual savings for a Fortune 500 medical products manufacturer, and more than $1M saved in year one at a 10,000-worker energy construction yard in EMEA. Trusted by industry leaders. Industrial customers include Amazon, Coca-Cola, ExxonMobil, GE Aerospace, Unilever, The Home Depot, Northrop Grumman and the U.S. Air Force, among many others. In healthcare, Litum works with health systems and providers such as Alberta Health Services, Queensland Health, North York General Hospital and Recovery Centers of America. Recognized by the market. Named a Visionary in the Gartner Magic Quadrant for Indoor Location Services three years in a row, a Deloitte Technology Fast 50 company five years running, and one of Fast Company's Most Innovative Companies in 2024. Whatever the starting point, the goal is the same: safer workplaces and better-run operations, built on knowing what is happening as it happens.
