## Linear Reviews
 ### 1. Sleek Design with Developer-Friendly Features

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** John D. | Partner & Product Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 24, 2026

**What do you like best about Linear?**

I really like Linear's sleek and nice UI, which is a step above other alternatives for organizing and making sense of our plans. Its integrations with GitHub and other platforms are very developer friendly. I find the AI features particularly useful for triaging external requests and scanning through hundreds or thousands of existing tickets. The keyboard shortcuts and command palette are very nice features that make navigation easier. There are so many little moments in its design where I wonder if I can do something new, and it just works perfectly. For example, writing up a plan in a project description and turning it into tickets felt intuitive and worked perfectly the first time I tried it. It's very thoroughly considered and carefully designed, and I feel that makes Linear stand out. It's also noteworthy how transparent and easy it is to share the single source of truth across teams, and it makes things easy for developers.

**What do you dislike about Linear?**

I'm concerned that it is becoming an enterprise tool which could make it very bloated and slow. We've seen very small examples of this, but I'm just slightly afraid that it could become Jira one day.

**What problems is Linear solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I find Linear better at organizing plans and sharing a single source of truth. It integrates well with GitHub, is developer-friendly, and its AI features make managing tickets easier.

 ### 2. Clean and Fast Issue Tracking, but Limited Reporting and Customization

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** amit y. | DevOps / DevSecOps, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 16, 2026

**What do you like best about Linear?**

Linear is very easy to use, with a clean, fast interface that makes issue tracking simple and efficient. Setup was quick, and the workflow feels intuitive even for new users. I use it often to manage tickets, track bugs, and organize development tasks without friction. It also integrates smoothly with tools like GitHub and Slack, which helps keep our development workflow connected and running efficiently.

**What do you dislike about Linear?**

While Linear is great for its simplicity and speed, it can feel a little too minimal if you need advanced reporting or highly customizable workflows. Some areas, like analytics and deeper automation, could be improved. It’s an excellent fit for engineering teams, but non-technical teams may need a bit of time to get comfortable with the interface.

**What problems is Linear solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Linear helps me organize issues, bugs, and development tasks in one clear, structured system. It keeps the team aligned by making priorities, progress, and sprint work easy to see in a single place. As a result, there’s less confusion, collaboration improves, and we can spend more time shipping features instead of getting bogged down managing project-tracking tools.

 ### 3. Easy to Use, Insightful Linear Integration with Smart Auto-Tagging

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Yunesh K. | Head Of Client Support and Onboarding, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 22, 2026

**What do you like best about Linear?**

It is easy to use and the the insights are easy to build in Linear. The customer is auto tagged in linear showcasing the potential duplicate ones are awesome. The triage feature is also something I like and export of the tickets to external platform and ease to integrate to external platform.

**What do you dislike about Linear?**

The dashboard-building features feel limited. I’d like the ability to create custom views and dashboards similar to Jira, where we can use JQL to build and filter what we see.

**What problems is Linear solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Tracking the issues raised by clients and coordinating within the team feels straightforward and linear to resolve. Team coordination has improved because we can easily view insights that are simple to set up, and we can also connect it to GitHub.

 ### 4. Ruthlessly Fast Issue Tracking That Respects Your Time

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ishwar P. | Developer, Information Technology and Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 04, 2026

**What do you like best about Linear?**

It’s fast and frictionless — everything happens instantly, which makes teams more likely to actually keep work updated. The keyboard-first design makes moving through issues feel natural and efficient. The workflows are simple but thoughtfully structured, helping teams stay organized without overcomplicating things. The clean, minimal UI keeps the focus on the work. Overall, it feels like a tool built by people who really understand how software teams operate.

**What do you dislike about Linear?**

It’s also very engineering-first. PMs and devs usually love it, but designers, ops, or execs may struggle to find a simple, high-level view that doesn’t require learning the system.

**What problems is Linear solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Linear benefit: Everything feels instant and lightweight. You spend less time wrestling the tool and more time actually shipping.

 ### 5. Focused, Intentional Workflow with Smooth Shortcuts and Clear Issue Tracking

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nikhil J. | Backend Developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 03, 2026

**What do you like best about Linear?**

I like how Linear keeps everything focused and intentional. The keyboard shortcuts, smooth workflow, and clear issue tracking make it easy to stay productive without feeling overwhelmed.

**What do you dislike about Linear?**

One downside is that Linear can feel too minimal for some teams—there aren’t many built-in customization or reporting options. If you rely heavily on detailed analytics or complex workflows, it may feel a bit limiting.

**What problems is Linear solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Linear solves the problem of messy, slow project tracking by giving everything a clear structure and flow. It helps keep tasks, priorities, and progress visible at all times, which saves me time, reduces confusion, and makes it easier to focus on actually getting work done.

 ### 6. Simplifies Project Management with Robust Free Plan

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jaelyn H.

**Reviewed Date:** December 14, 2025

**What do you like best about Linear?**

I worked at an AI tech startup that used Linear for all of its project management, and it was great for organizing our work. I liked that we could make tickets for anything, and the section for comments helped a lot, especially with its integration with GitHub. I could push and make comments directly to show my teammates using the magic word commands, and they could leave comments on my git that I could see in our Linear. I liked how simple it was; there was no onboarding needed, it was very intuitive and easy to get started. The free plan was robust; we ran our entire startup off of it, and there was never a need to pay for the full version. I used the 'make a ticket' feature the most, along with the comments section to keep up with everything. The comments were how I'd tell my co-worker to check my work or that a section was ready for code review.

**What do you dislike about Linear?**

The magic words got confusing, and I didn't know the exact purpose for some of them. The structure for the magic words was just confusing and unexplained, so we just used them however we wanted. It would be easier if there was an explanation of what each magic word did, and if the magic words could pop up in Git. I had to type them in myself, unlike in Git where you might get a label pop-up.

**What problems is Linear solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Linear organizes our work, including our backlog and completed tasks. I love making tickets for everything and using comments, especially with GitHub integration, to keep teammates updated easily.

 ### 7. Linear makes managing projects feel simple and fast

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Bojan V. | Digital Technology Specialist, Information Technology and Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 16, 2025

**What do you like best about Linear?**

Linear feels incredibly fast and responsive, which makes it easy to stay in the flow while managing tasks. The interface is clean and minimal without being confusing, and shortcuts make navigation surprisingly smooth. I also really like how issues, projects, and roadmaps all tie together in a way that keeps everything connected without adding extra layers of complexity. It feels built for speed and focus, which makes day-to-day work much easier.

**What do you dislike about Linear?**

While Linear is excellent for smaller teams or straightforward workflows, it can feel a bit limiting if you need a lot of customization or complex reporting. Some integrations are still fairly basic, so you might need to patch together extra tools if your team has heavier requirements. It’s not a dealbreaker, but it does mean that bigger organizations may run into friction compared to more feature-heavy platforms.

**What problems is Linear solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Linear keeps things simple and fast, so I don’t waste time updating tickets. It helps the team stay on the same page and makes shipping work feel smoother.

 ### 8. Linear: Simple, Efficient, and Perfect for Focused Teams

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rajkumar K. | Software engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 08, 2026

**What do you like best about Linear?**

Linear is a fast and intuitive project management tool that helps teams track issues, plan sprints, and stay organized. What I like best about Linear is its clean, minimal interface that makes navigating tasks effortless. Its keyboard-driven workflow and smooth performance make updating work incredibly quick.

**What do you dislike about Linear?**

While Linear works exceptionally well, there are a few areas where it could grow even further. Some advanced customization options are limited, which keeps the platform simple but may leave power users wanting more flexibility.

**What problems is Linear solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Its fast, intuitive interface helps keep projects organized without overwhelming complexity. Automation features remove repetitive steps, saving time and ensuring tasks move smoothly through each stage. The platform also centralizes communication, making collaboration clearer and more efficient. Overall, Linear helps teams stay focused, productive, and aligned on goals.

 ### 9. Efficient and Reliable Task Management with Seamless Slack Integration

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Pulkit S. | Product Ops Analyst, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 26, 2025

**What do you like best about Linear?**

I find Linear very easy and convenient to use. It's fast and reliable, consistently meeting my expectations without any delays. The integration with Slack is particularly impressive, ensuring that we receive every update promptly, which enhances our communication and keeps everyone in the loop efficiently. I also appreciate the integration with GitHub, as this means our tech team's changes and PR merges are seamlessly updated on Slack, thus enhancing workflow transparency. Additionally, Linear's initial setup was straightforward and intuitive. It is not overloaded with features, making it easy to understand and operate, which is a significant advantage. Generally, my experience with Linear has been very positive, and I find it to be an excellent tool for managing our operations efficiently.

**What do you dislike about Linear?**

I think earlier their mobile app, at least the iOS app, was not that good. I haven't used it since, but my experience from at least six months ago was not positive. Apart from that, Linear has not very good analytics or reporting capabilities. Unlike Asana and other ticketing tools, Linear's analytics are lacking, forcing me to integrate it with Google Sheets to perform customer analytics.

**What problems is Linear solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Linear for daily ticketing and onboarding, simplifying tracking and resolving issues efficiently. It integrates with Slack, enhancing communication by updating ticket statuses promptly without needing to access Linear directly.

 ### 10. Effortless Project Management with Developer-Friendly Tools

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Diogo L. | Head of DevOps, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 18, 2025

**What do you like best about Linear?**

I appreciate how Linear enables easy structuring of initiatives, projects, and tasks. It's great how simple it is to link dependencies and organize sprints. I find it quite developer-friendly, thanks to the simple API and intuitive shortcuts. It's super straightforward, focusing on core parts, which makes it super easy to use. I also like the easy shortcuts for most actions, and the API can be easily integrated with LLMs to generate a comprehensive backlog with little effort. The usability, cost benefits, and smooth initial setup make Linear the right choice.

**What do you dislike about Linear?**

I find automations are quite limited, and I would love to have the ability to create low code workflows within Linear.

**What problems is Linear solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Linear enables easy structuring of initiatives, linking dependencies, and organizing sprints. It's developer-friendly with intuitive shortcuts and a simple API, making it easy to use and integrate.
