Amazing site **Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** Daniel Enrique J. | Dial Agent, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.) **Reviewed Date:** March 28, 2019 **What do you like best about LILT?** I like Lilt.com because it is simple to use, it's a very light platform that can be used from any computer, being a new one or and old one, I can still work, and doesn't require high speed internet. Also projects can be uploaded and checked very fast. When I start the translation, Lilt helps me adding the words I need and then I confirm, besides that, Lilt memorizes the previous translations and brings them back to future files so the translation is much easier the second time. It is easy to log in, and regarding the files, they can be separated into documents, which Lilt indicates the percentage of completion of the project, including words, lists, and segments confirmed, as well as the segments not confirmed. **What do you dislike about LILT?** Sometimes the automatic translation isn't accurate, and the words are put there without permission, making it confusing for the human translator, having to delete them and start all over the completion of the translation box. Another thing I might dislike is that pages go back and forth sometimes without permission, making it difficult to know what I am working on and having to go back to the current page I am working in. Also, sometimes, when I upload a document, words are mixed and crashed by the time they are available for translation. In conclusion, just a couple of details I might dislike. **Recommendations to others considering LILT:** It is a really good product, I recommend it **What problems is LILT solving and how is that benefiting you?** Translation of a large catalog for boat parts. Good functions including Find & Replace, term search, concordance, progress bar, etc. Pretty much everything a translator like myself would ask for, without the need of installation! The online support is very responsive and helpful too. **What do you dislike about LILT?** Sometime the productivity data (i.e. words translated per hour) shown is far from accurate. **Recommendations to others considering LILT:** If you like a productivity tool without the need to install anything on your computer, and if you like friendly, helpful online support (who wouldn't like that?) -- Try Lilt. **What problems is LILT solving and how is that benefiting you?** As an independent English>Chinese translator, I have been working with clients from the hospitality industry, using Lilt as a highly effective tool. My clients and I like the results. Lilt enables us to keep track of the project progress and I was always able to quickly amend my translations and maintain consistency throughout the projects. I really like the Lilt interface which is modern, neat and professional. (In answering the question "How many employees does this company have?" I don't know the answer for sure and I just guess the company Lobster Ink has at least 11-50 employees.) ### 3. Even with more complex texts, Lilt delivers at a surprising pace :-) **What do you dislike about LILT?** It seems that there are currently some things to solve with the software. Suggestions are so slow that many times I type the translation out without waiting for the suggestion... which kind of defies the purpose. When doing the QA after having translated the file, it can be slow going if the file is big (as is often the case). Lastly, Lilt still have some way to go in sorting the tags. It's fiddly and when I move to the next page, the tags sometimes have disappeared, whereupon I have to exit the file and enter again for them to show up. **What problems is LILT solving and how is that benefiting you?** If Lilt could deliver consistently, it certainly opens new scopes in translating. ### 4. I like mostly the system of Machine Translation, as software of exclusively Lilt, and not copied from anyone else. The level of quality of this software of M.T of Lilt is on their own, and it's very high. Thus, you feel always comfortable and it's easy to use, not having to correct many things. Thus it makes an easy going platform to work with. **What do you dislike about LILT?** There's actually nothing to dislike: Only good impression from first time. First of all, they have a good well structured system to apply as translator, by specifying language pair, all personal details of course and a space to put your CV. The structure of site is good, well organized and does not create confusion! Lilt gives many ways and many opportunities online for self development, progress and creation of translations, apart from the stardard projects given by Clients for which translator is paid. You can also choose to create your own projects on platform, and seize your abilities. **Recommendations to others considering LILT:** I Surely recommend translators to use Lilt! First of all, they'll join a good useful platform for doing translations to earn money, besides profiting from an adaptive innovative system to work seamlessly, with a software of Lilt itself, of MT of high level. Also, they can work in any language pair of their choice, and which of course they know well, having on side an always helpful staff to assist them in their first steps in system of LILT! The system is accurate: First of all, when you are called to redit MT of Lilt, you have enough and fair time available; all words are counted accurately, plus possibility, of giving a quote on their own, on fair prices/ratea actually.. System will direct them. Then translators have possibility to get paid by Payoneer (as so far), and only in up to 5 days after project delivery and approval! **What problems is LILT solving and how is that benefiting you?** Lilt among all, is innovative. A friendly user online system, where you find everything working good, for a modern Company of Translations and Translatikn Management! You have the ability to further workon more language pairs,-when there are available projects from Clients, and indeed get paid in 3-5 days ONLY after project is delivered to Client and approved. One also of the major advantages, is that there is always, or almost always, thus any time staff available online to answer to all your questions, instantly. But besides this, you always receive fedback on your queries by email, the one declared upon registration. It saves a huge amount of time and combined with the great hot key system it means I translate a lot more work in the same amount of hours. **What do you dislike about LILT?** Sometimes the dictionary/term search is a bit poor. I find myself going to proz.com and using their term search instead. They compile the term search from professional translators contributions and they stay there for a long time. They also break down terms by category (eg. legal, business, marketing, medical, etc. ) **Recommendations to others considering LILT:** If you want fast and accurate translation then this is the tool for you. **What problems is LILT solving and how is that benefiting you?** The only business problem I have had is when a glitch in your system left the markers in the wrong position which meant trying desperately (and failing) to put it right until you fixed it but fixed it within minutes of having to send the translation back to meet the deadline. ### 6. Productivity was increased alright, and at first, I had some issues with the speed of their backend, but those problems were solved. Their support team is second to none, and it's really nice to know that there is a product/service that cares about the users. ### 7. I love it. It's great to have all the tools I need in the same window. If you really like speed you must learn those hotkeys! **What do you dislike about LILT?** Sometimes it's slow on the refresh and feels clunky. I wish the lexicon suggestion came from a global translation memory, not just from my past, sort of like Linguee. Titles, when they're in all-caps don't get translated or translate weird. **What problems is LILT solving and how is that benefiting you?** It improves speed and has implemented tools that really simplify my workflow. Rates have gone down overtime and Lilt has help me stay in the game my making me realize a profit where before there was no chance. ### 8.
