Lido is an amazing application that allows users to upload various documentation styles (both typed and handwritten). It deciphers the information and creates a formatted version that’s easier to read, streamlined for sharing with colleagues, and useful for filing for future needs.

Lido has allowed me to make handwritten notes on documents such as invoices and statements without losing anything in translation, even when both media styles appear on the same document. The ability to include column headers manually, paired with the technology of this platform, means my documents are scanned and recreated to suit my needs.

When uploading an invoice or statement, LIDO also lets me upload that same document repeatedly within a window of time and treats it as one document. This allows me to work through several uploads until the format is exactly the way I want it, and then I can continue with the rest of my uploads in a similar way. There’s no need to feel like I’m “wasting” uploads while I’m trying to get the document just right.

I also love that our teachers, administrators, and office staff can all benefit from using this platform to create documents that best represent the data being kept by each department. As a school Library Media Specialist, I can run reports through my lending program and then use LIDO to reorganize my data in various ways that support the needs of my role. There’s not a whole lot to dislike about this platform. It does recognize when you upload the same document multiple times within a short window and treats it as a single upload, but I wish that time window were longer. I often need to “sleep on” decisions, and when I’m working late, I may need to come back the next day to revisit something and see whether I still feel the same. If I do need to upload again after that, it counts against my upload total, which can be significant—especially when I’m working on a yearlong budget document for a submission that will be used to determine future funding for a department. Lido has a fairly quick learning curve, a simple UI, and an amazing ability to parse input via AI. It’s very intuitive and saves us a lot of work and time in our business since we do not have to manually manipulate data. Integrates with other commonly used data storage such as Google Drive and can be automated to pull new data when it is added to the data storage, making the process more automated and streamlined. Every once in a while, Lido won’t parse information correctly, no matter what cues it has been given. It would be helpful to have an AI feature that can assist with building written rules and troubleshooting, especially when you can provide examples of problematic inputs and outputs. This issue is quite rare, but it does still happen sometimes.

I also don’t like that we can’t access the API unless we pay an exorbitant amount to upgrade. For a small company, that upgrade cost is very high and unrealistic. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I like how easy it is to set up and work with Lido. It makes it straightforward to automate a process that used to be much more manual and time-consuming. I appreciate its ability to eliminate manual invoice data entry, reduce copy/paste and formatting work, and speed up the process of getting invoice data ready for import into our accounting system. I would like to see the ability for Lido to split multi-invoice PDF files and automatically rename each file by invoice number. I really appreciate how Lido has saved me a lot of time, turning nearly a week of work for each account into just a few hours a day. The user interface is easy to navigate, intuitive, and adaptive based on the customizations I enter. This really helps take out the guesswork and minimizes errors, making it really easy to use. Additionally, the process of entering the files, creating the output, refining the output, and replicating the steps is pretty straightforward. Signing up was also easy. Lido has allowed us to take multiple PDFs and export them into Excel spreadsheets. This task has saved us thousands of hours over the past 6 months. The system is user friendly and has allowed multiple people at our company to develop their own workflows. The customer service at Lido is outstanding. What I appreciate most about Lido is how much time it saves me at work when handling various types of documents. I only have to write the additional instructions once, which is incredibly convenient. I have considerable experience with Excel, and I appreciate that Lido shares many features with it. However, I still find that it takes me a bit of time to locate certain options. I appreciate that Lido saves me time. The accuracy and order of the uploads mean I don't have to recreate tables every time I start a new project. Sometimes Lido doesn't give the same tabs and order, so I have to move columns around. It would be nice if I knew how to download sheets directly to Excel or Google Sheets rather than copy and paste, but that may be a learning curve more than a Lido problem. I use Lido to transcribe legal notice of award documents by the thousands, and it's mostly accurate at pulling out the requested fields, which would otherwise require me to read each notice and extract the information by hand. Lido expedites the process and is correct around 80% of the time. Additionally, I found Lido to be more intuitive compared to what I used before, making the transition smoother.
