Access to files and assets we need often. We can share select/approved assets with other teams in our organization. we can also create access to content providers ouside of our organization and they can upload directly.

**What do you dislike about PhotoShelter for Brands?**

Some of the features are not as user-friendly or easily navigated without training. We had a team Member who recently went on leave, and it was not super consumable. It was challenging to figure out where the assets were uploaded and how to get them fully loaded into photoshelter, without prior training.

**What problems is PhotoShelter for Brands solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We can send links to folders with approved content and assets, as well as allow our regular contributors access to quickly upload versus sending us a link to manually upload, removing a step!

PhotoShelter for Brands allows our geographically dispersed team to collaborate in workspaces and optimize production efficiencies. We save time and time is money.

PhotoShelter for Brands supports our Photo to File to Digital Asset™ Strategy. We often have multiple photographers producing photos and videos and one central editor crafting these files into digital assets in order to maintain a consistent looks and feel. We designed the architecture to suit the needs of our food start up, instead of being restricted to the work flow provided by a vendor.

**What do you dislike about PhotoShelter for Brands?**

The lightbox and gallery system is confusing for newer users - sharing files externally is needlessly difficult and complex.

**What problems is PhotoShelter for Brands solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Storing large files in a reliable way, providing a visually pleasing way to browse and explore our image library

One-stop-shop for photo viewing, compiling, selling, etc.

  ### 11. Changing the Game

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 03, 2022

**What do you like best about PhotoShelter for Brands?**

The best part of Photoshelter is that I can send out any of our digital assets to our internal and external audiences with ease.

**What do you dislike about PhotoShelter for Brands?**

Unfortunately with an online tool that has amazing features, it comes at the cost of being slow to load whenever I log in to my photoshelter account. It maybe due to our internet connection, but it seems consistent across devices.

**What problems is PhotoShelter for Brands solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The main problems that photoshelter solves at my workplace are mainly the distribution of content. Through photoshelter we are able to get our content to our social media managers in a timely matter, enabling us to post in real time,

  ### 12. A Great Catalog of Digital Resources for our Team

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Eric S. | Director of Content Marketing, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 10, 2021

**What do you like best about PhotoShelter for Brands?**

While I had less interaction with PhotoShelter than my team, it was a fantastic resource to help our designers and content creators to utilize approved sources. It was really great as a content creator to get access to our digital asset library.

**What do you dislike about PhotoShelter for Brands?**

I did not have many issues with PhotoShelter when we were using this service. I would say that the UI experience can take a little getting used to when you're first starting out, but just fine after some exploration of the platform. However, we ended up stopping the service because of change ups on our team.

**Recommendations to others considering PhotoShelter for Brands:**

PhotoShelter for Brands was an excellent tool for my team to distribute digital assets better. I wish we were still using this tool.

**What problems is PhotoShelter for Brands solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The biggest problem solved through PhotoShelter was a more reliable means of sharing our design assets with our team (and company). It helped to reduce issues about accessing assets.

  ### 13. Useful tool that continues to get better – still a bit clunky

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Matthew S. | Senior Studio Photographer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 13, 2019

**What do you like best about PhotoShelter for Brands?**

If you're diligent about tagging, the search function (once you learn some of the tricks, e.g., Term +Term) is robust and an excellent tool for all invited users.

**What do you dislike about PhotoShelter for Brands?**

The library staff UI is pretty clunky, not very intuitive, and feels dated. There is no desktop application, which would be a convenient addition. Moving files from one folder to another always breaks permissions - there should be a way to turn that off.

**Recommendations to others considering PhotoShelter for Brands:**

My biggest advice is don't let too much time go between entering metadata. Libris is most powerful when your images have the correct keywords etc. Otherwise, it can quickly turn into another old messy file system.

**What problems is PhotoShelter for Brands solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have solved image delivery hold ups – especially when a department is in need of past images for FPO designs. Libris allows them to have access to only approved imagery, without needing to contact one of the creatives for delivery – giving them the freedom to design to spec before requesting new bespoke imagery.

  ### 14. Great tool for image collaboration and brand assets

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Camilo F. | Brand Creative Director, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 03, 2022

**What do you like best about PhotoShelter for Brands?**

Friendly user interface and simple to navigate

**What do you dislike about PhotoShelter for Brands?**

I have yet to find something I strongly dislike about the platform or service

**Recommendations to others considering PhotoShelter for Brands:**

Great product if you are looking for a way to source, manage, and control brand assets within your organization.

**What problems is PhotoShelter for Brands solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Having a tool where all our brand assets live is a huge improvement for collaboration and brand management

  ### 15. User-friendly and organized!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** David R. | Senior Graphic Designer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 28, 2021

**What do you like best about PhotoShelter for Brands?**

I find the usability of the platform is to understand, navigate and host all of our branding assets. It keeps the files in an ornagized, structured way that is easy for our staff to find what they're looking for through a seamless search function. Photoshelter helps house digital assets in one location versus our previous setup of having assets in different folders on our internal servers which would be hard to navigate for staff and new staff.

**What do you dislike about PhotoShelter for Brands?**

I love everything about it, nothing to dislike.

**What problems is PhotoShelter for Brands solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The problem that we are solving is having all of our assets in one easy to use location versus having all of our files on various locations computers and hard drives. The ability to quickly search for what you need based on keywords and metadata is super helpful for end users such as staff and some external vendors to find particular photos and brand assets.

  ### 16. Working product fine, but when there are issues, customer service/tech support slow to respond+fix.

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Research | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 01, 2022

**What do you like best about PhotoShelter for Brands?**

Metadata options, delivery options, previews

**What do you dislike about PhotoShelter for Brands?**

Not an intuitive interface at all. Aspects of the system were obviously put together at different times. Parts of workflow involve making multiple clicks for no reason.

**What problems is PhotoShelter for Brands solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Delivery of visuals to clients. Organization and metadata tagging of assets.

  ### 17. Excellent platform for digital asset management

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Photography | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 01, 2022

**What do you like best about PhotoShelter for Brands?**

Photoshelter handles everything professionally and is user-friendly on the back-end and for the front-line user.

**What do you dislike about PhotoShelter for Brands?**

There's nothing to dislike about Photoshelter!

**What problems is PhotoShelter for Brands solving and how is that benefiting you?**

They help get my photos into the hands that need/use them. Also great for backup and for displaying photo galleries.

  ### 18. Simple, easy to use DAM

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Management Consulting | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 03, 2022

**What do you like best about PhotoShelter for Brands?**

Photoshelter is a super simple and affordable DAM platform that supports a variety of use cases and organizations.

**What do you dislike about PhotoShelter for Brands?**

Out of the box - Not a lot of room for customization

**What problems is PhotoShelter for Brands solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Easy and quick access to our clients most valuable assets

  ### 19. Many hats from Strategic Communications, Storyteller and for this survey Image Archivist

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Stanley L. | Consultant, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 15, 2016

**What do you like best about PhotoShelter for Brands?**

Being able to share your photos for your organization when people cannot come to you directly is necessary today. I put PhotoShelter to work for one of my biggest clients Chick-fil-A.

Now all the photos that were on CDs/DVDs in someone's desk drawer are online and easy to access through keyword searches. We can also limit the access to who we want to see the images to the world if we choose.

The best stewardship you can do for your images is to have them where they can be used over and over.

**What do you dislike about PhotoShelter for Brands?**

Workspaces is great in users creating their own galleries, however I wish they didn't have to send a request to an editor or administrator for them to share with others in their team that already have access to the same images.

**Recommendations to others considering PhotoShelter for Brands:**

They will help you but you can always hire me to help you know how Chick-fil-A uses the system and other organizations I help setup on it.

**What problems is PhotoShelter for Brands solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This is a great solution for delivering images to clients and for the organization to reuse the images. Most organizations that don't have easy searchable photo library will spend more creating new images than what they could have saved by having all their content available and searchable for those in their organizations.

Using images more often and improving the communication of the organization. It is saving us a lot of money and time.

  ### 20. Easy access with a ton of features, but pricey and constrained

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Curry M. | Video Producer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 05, 2021

**What do you like best about PhotoShelter for Brands?**

Cloud-based access is very efficient. The AI tagging is an incredible tool for utilizing metadata for storage. Being able also to have a public-facing portfolio is a massive benefit for sharing and distributing assets.

**What do you dislike about PhotoShelter for Brands?**

The cost of storage is astronomically high. To afford it, one must cut down on many features and sacrifice space, making other competitors more attractive. Restrictive customer service policies on pro-rated refunds and more also hurt it as a recommendation.

**Recommendations to others considering PhotoShelter for Brands:**

Consider every possible DAM solution out there, especially Dropbox, OneDrive, or Google Drive. Photoshelter is a phenomenal product, but the high-cost barrier along with restrictive policies that force a long-term investment makes it a dangerous gamble. It all depends on company needs, but if one is only looking for storage, this is not the solution.

**What problems is PhotoShelter for Brands solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Running out of storage and generally backing up everything shot into a place that's easily accessible for everyone. Creating a public place to store assets and distribute them accordingly.

  ### 21. Invaluable

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Donald P. | Photographer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 10, 2016

**What do you like best about PhotoShelter for Brands?**

PS for Brands is a crucial part of our brand's process. Without the tools it provides, we would not be able to function as lean and efficiently as we do. PS for brands saves us thousands of dollars just in the hours it saves every user in our company

**What do you dislike about PhotoShelter for Brands?**

Cost is prohibitive and they get you with the add ons. The product comes at a premium by being the only company that can offer all of the needs our business has

**Recommendations to others considering PhotoShelter for Brands:**

Talk with Photoshelter customer support. They are so great to work with and can answer any question you have. I did a ton of research online but their support made things much easier!

**What problems is PhotoShelter for Brands solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Biggest asset is our real-time workflow that helps all departments access new content instantly. With our library living in Photoshelter for Brands, it makes finding assets quick and easy

  ### 22. Powerful, but with some learning curve.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Luke C. | Senior Multimedia Designer, Staff Photographer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 27, 2021

**What do you like best about PhotoShelter for Brands?**

Photoshelter is always adding features! Love that they are integrated with Lightroom!

**What do you dislike about PhotoShelter for Brands?**

The search tool needs more advanced features; we don't want our search to include the words in the description. Gallery browsing is frustrating for people who use multiple tabs/windows. All the different levels of user privileges is frustrating; for the price we are paying, I'd think we would get at least 3 seats of taggers in addition to our other seats.

**Recommendations to others considering PhotoShelter for Brands:**

PhotoShelter for Brands is extremely powerful for large organizations that desire to share content. Careful organization and processes are key to a good and proper administration of assets. Tagging, folder structure, and account types all need thoroughly understood to make the best use of this DAM site. Once understand it, it can be very helpful in many facets of communication in an organization.

**What problems is PhotoShelter for Brands solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Sharing photos for projects. Workspaces have made that easier!

  ### 23. Great way to share image with clients and customers

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Paul R. | Director of Digital Marketing and E-Commerce, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 21, 2021

**What do you like best about PhotoShelter for Brands?**

Ease and protection of images is the best I've seen

**What do you dislike about PhotoShelter for Brands?**

I do not have any dislikes. I think this works great for any B2B Needs.

**Recommendations to others considering PhotoShelter for Brands:**

Download all buttons on folders

**What problems is PhotoShelter for Brands solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Protection of images by having individual logins, and being able to have a timeline of product line images over the years.

  ### 24. Makes our workflow easier

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Roger H. | Director, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 26, 2021

**What do you like best about PhotoShelter for Brands?**

Very intuitive and easy to use. Clients find using the interface very easy in order to get their files and when we do have any issues, customer support has been very responsive to our needs.

**What do you dislike about PhotoShelter for Brands?**

I don't really have anything negative to say.

**Recommendations to others considering PhotoShelter for Brands:**

Will enjoy seeing the continuation of the implementation of AI into file management for keyword and tagging,

**What problems is PhotoShelter for Brands solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are connecting multiple clients to the images we have created for them, and they appreciate the thumbnails and the ability to download individual images or do a batch download.

  ### 25. Great Service

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 01, 2022

**What do you like best about PhotoShelter for Brands?**

It makes it easy to share photos and access photos of multiple sizes with team members throughout an organization.

**What do you dislike about PhotoShelter for Brands?**

I haven't had any issues with the platform.

**What problems is PhotoShelter for Brands solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Sharing images within a large organization.

  ### 26. Photoshelter - easy to use and looks professional!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Savana M. | Operations Support Analyst, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 09, 2021

**What do you like best about PhotoShelter for Brands?**

Photoshelter is so easy to use! I was surprised by how user-friendly it is. I also had questions when I was using it, and tech support was easy to get ahold of and provided great responses!

**What do you dislike about PhotoShelter for Brands?**

The only thing I don't like about photoshelter is that I cannot hide photos in a gallery with the business version. I wanted to put a cover photo on my videos, but I can't because it doesn't have those capabilities.

**Recommendations to others considering PhotoShelter for Brands:**

I think that if you want an easy place to store, manage, and show files, Photoshelter is a great place for that!

**What problems is PhotoShelter for Brands solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We needed a place to store micro-learning videos, and Photoshelter has become the place for them! Even though it hasn't gone live yet, I think once it does, it will give users an excellent experience.

  ### 27. Manages my photo well and host my video media well enough.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 09, 2021

**What do you like best about PhotoShelter for Brands?**

I like the batch renaming for photo media.

**What do you dislike about PhotoShelter for Brands?**

I don't like that I can't batch rename video media.

**Recommendations to others considering PhotoShelter for Brands:**

If you're looking to manage an online photo media host, this is a solid option with a lot of great features. If you find yourself using a lot of video media, I would look more into the features available as it might not be AS robust as the current photo support.

**What problems is PhotoShelter for Brands solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Sharing media with stakeholders outside of our team is what I find more beneficial.

  ### 28. Lots of photos!

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Gary W. | Digital Solutions Manager, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 15, 2019

**What do you like best about PhotoShelter for Brands?**

Tagging options work fairly well if they're used correctly.

**What do you dislike about PhotoShelter for Brands?**

Photos can be hard to find if tagging is not done properly.

**Recommendations to others considering PhotoShelter for Brands:**

Make sure it has all the attributes you're looking for!

**What problems is PhotoShelter for Brands solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It has made it easier to find stock imagery of my institution.

  ### 29. Good Product - Expensive Upgrades

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Samantha H. | Digital Asset Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 24, 2021

**What do you like best about PhotoShelter for Brands?**

-Ability to "duplicate" photos into multiple galleries without taking up additional space
-Ability to give users specific access via their login/account or by gallery passwords
——You can set this access to expire on a specific date which is useful
-Has download logs so you can see what users are downloading what files
-Integrations with other apps/platforms/products are helpful if you can afford it
-Backend (admin) file search is thorough with multiple date options (date created, date uploaded), model release forms, image rating, orientation, etc.
-Ability to add license expiration date to files, and once that date has passed, it marks photos with a red "Expired" watermark
-Ability to add custom image metadata
——our organization uses this field for custom usage rights (All Rights, Press & Media, our company only)

**What do you dislike about PhotoShelter for Brands?**

-Upgrades/Integrations/Add-Ons are additional costs on top of your base annual fee
-Front end (portal) search is limited compared to the back end (admin) search
-When uploading files, it will skip duplicate files, but only if the duplicate file is in the gallery you're uploading to—This can lead to duplicate files across multiple galleries.
-Reports are minimal; CSV files with no analytics

**What problems is PhotoShelter for Brands solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are solving the issue of hosting our images and videos in multiple areas (platforms and hard drives) with multiple people—This solves our pain point of locating imagery we already have and identifying gaps in our content.
We also have restrictions with our usage rights, so we have to keep track of who is using our imagery and under what circumstances, so granting access on a case-by-case basis is extremely helpful.

  ### 30. Photoshelter Crucial for Small Business

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 03, 2022

**What do you like best about PhotoShelter for Brands?**

Photoshelter's ease of use is incredibly helpful, especially in an environment where there isn't time to learn or familiarize yourself with software that may be too complicated.

**What do you dislike about PhotoShelter for Brands?**

I have not run into any issues, or have not experienced anything I dislike at this time.

**What problems is PhotoShelter for Brands solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Photoshelter helps us manage our extremely large photo and video asset library. Its easy and varied upload methods, auto-tagging, and sorting features make finding and accessing our photos a cinch.

  ### 31. Lots of ways to organize

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Adrienne L. | Program Director, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 14, 2017

**What do you like best about PhotoShelter for Brands?**

I can arrange galleries of photos with easy drag and drop. This makes moving around many files very easy and less time-consuming.
I can make new galleries to share with ease.

**What do you dislike about PhotoShelter for Brands?**

All editors not being able to search folder names is a big fail. A photo in the gallery has to have a name I am searching for in order to find the whole gallery.
Right now, only the admin has the ability for search folder names.

Having to edit each photo's metadata. Would be easier to select all photos to which to apply tags.
(There may be a way to do this I have simply not discovered yet.)

**Recommendations to others considering PhotoShelter for Brands:**

It's a good idea to know how many people will need access to using the software as it determines which package you will need to purchase.

**What problems is PhotoShelter for Brands solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The ease of sharing photo collections with clients

  ### 32. New Libris user - Great so far

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 12, 2019

**What do you like best about PhotoShelter for Brands?**

Having our library be visual and searchable is a quantum leap forward for us. I entered an organization who had approx. 20 years worth of images stored in 1 million folders with no logical file naming convention. Going from that to a DAM is a heavy lift, but Libris is making it seamless.

**What do you dislike about PhotoShelter for Brands?**

Sometimes understanding and working with the permissions, accessibility, and some of the inner workings of Libris aren't 100% intuitive. The reporting and communication tools within Libris are very limited and I would love to see them get improved.

**Recommendations to others considering PhotoShelter for Brands:**

It's smart to set aside a bunch of dedicated time to setting up Libris. it's not very hard, but having total focus on the process is really valuable.

**What problems is PhotoShelter for Brands solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Having a library that is online and visible to others is a no brainer. I am able to shoot, edit, and share seamlessly with Libris. Delivering images is a breeze and very controllable.

  ### 33. Great in theory

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jake D. | Senior Marketing Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 06, 2022

**What do you like best about PhotoShelter for Brands?**

Love that the platform can bring in files from our project mangagement software, Wrike. Photoshelter creates a great space for users to access documents and files

**What do you dislike about PhotoShelter for Brands?**

We have not be able to roll this out due to technical difficulities that have not been fixed for several months. This is a great solution to our needs if we were able to roll it out internall and externally. Unfortunatley tech has been backed up so we are now paying for a service we cannot use

**What problems is PhotoShelter for Brands solving and how is that benefiting you?**

saving time
accessing files with ease from anywhere
sending files without trouble

IF we were able to roll this out externally that would save a lot of time - it just is unfortunate we cannot do so

  ### 34. Very quick and easy to share - with some possibly GUI enhancements suggested.

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Brent J. | Marketing Administrator, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 10, 2021

**What do you like best about PhotoShelter for Brands?**

I do like the quick structure creation and ease of specific permissions across different folders. Easy to quickly create the foundation and structure needed for different people and different access. Certainly happy with the size of the storage.

**What do you dislike about PhotoShelter for Brands?**

I'm not as fond of some GUI interactions - the upload option does not seem to work as a drag-and-drop (*perhaps Chrome not the friendliest browser to use). I do get stuck at times in trying to select files and the need to upload one file, and "continue to the gallery" before I can upload another file that may be in a different location (meaning I couldn't select both at once... seems to slow things down for me).

The separation of some menu items can be confusing - when trying to delete assets, it seems the top left menu is needed, when most all others are shown on the vertical right-side menu.

Troublesome to create an image WITHIN a gallery or folder in order to make a thumbnail appear - confusing. Would love the ability to etiher have thumbnails in their own directory, and referenced, or a way to upload that separately without an actual image being in the gallery or folder (named to be the first in the list specifically)

I've had a recent issue with my overseas counterparts - in China - having issues accessing a drive which should be open to all. Trying to troubleshoot, but unsure the issue.

**Recommendations to others considering PhotoShelter for Brands:**

I think with any new software, it's simply getting used to the interface - some changes I might suggest, but overall a very quick and easy trip from installation to up and running for asset sharing with easily configured permissions and access within any folders or galleries. Been quite simple and handy to share for partners who need constant access to our library of assets.

**What problems is PhotoShelter for Brands solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Sharing product photos with partners. Extensive list of product photos needed, and a large heirarchy to organize... been very helpful to simply point to our public photoshelter area. Sharing some specific groups of assets with internal parties and restricted access- very nice for that.

  ### 35. Finally everything is in one place, and I can find just what I need and share it really quickly!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Catherine M. | Arts & Heritage Consultant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 08, 2021

**What do you like best about PhotoShelter for Brands?**

Working across the arts and heritage sector, I'm alway taking photographs and videos of exhibitions, installations, events and interpretation. These are an invaluable record of work done and source of future learning for me and my clients. I was finding that they could easily become disorganised over time, because there are so many! Every exhibition, project and visit to a site produces more and more, and they were in all sorts of different places. Having them in Chorus quickly solved these problems, and now as soon as they are in the system it's easy to get access to them and organise everything with descriptive text that can be searched as well. Every consultancy project builds on evidence and records from previous engagements, so having detailed records that can be searched in Chorus makes the files come to life so easily when I need them again.

The tools created for the museum sector tend to focus on cataloging objects, rather than on organising images of all the other activity/material which takes place. Unlike a lot of standard cloud storage tools, the way Chorus works means that I can configure it enough to build a really powerful database if I need to. It is really flexible - the way files are described can change from one project to another. It's great being able to just drag files onto Chorus or use the desktop integration with Project Sync - I don't even need to be on the internet and know that it will all get transferred as soon as I'm back online, too (perfect for when I'm working on the train!).

**What do you dislike about PhotoShelter for Brands?**

When I first started to use Chorus, I needed to step back and think about what I was storing and why. It made me think about the different strands of content I have, how I might use them in the future, and who else might access them. This meant it took a bit of time to think things through at the beginning, but it does feel like investing time at the start is well worth it for the long term benefits. The team at Third Light have been incredibly generous with their time to help with this sort of thing, though - their team have gone out of their way to think about my questions. It's been a really positive experience.

**What problems is PhotoShelter for Brands solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have been taking photographs from events, projects and site visits for over 20 years. As a freelance consultant, I now want to draw on this bank of images to share with clients and for my own inspriation. Over the years, my images have been stored in lots of different places, using different filing systems, none of which were easily searchable. Now with Chorus, everything is finally in one place, and I can find things so quickly! I can get through tasks that used to take forever in next to no time. Now when I want to share examples of inspiring interpretation, events or signage I can pull together images in a flash. It is great to be able to drill down to find just the right things (e.g. a particular demographic / location / topic / media). Finding images for presentations, reports, marketing and social media is now so much more efficient.

I'm also finding better images too. Using Chorus has essentially opened up my whole back catalogue, meaning that I'm no longer reliant on what I remember myself - but can quickly pull up relevant images from years ago! It means I don't need to rely on recent/ favourite images but can find just the right thing. It has been a really useful (and actually enjoyable) exercise for me to go through my back catalogue, rediscovering some old gems and setting things up so that I can easily stay on top of things going forward.

A big benefit for me has been that when I need to share something, I can make a collection of files and publish them quickly, without having to go through signing up clients and asking them to register. This makes everything so much smoother than trying to change to different tools from day to day for my different clients. I feel really confident that I have shared exactly what I want to share, along with all the necessary information and permissions.

  ### 36. easy to use and a great way to share photo assets with the team

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 03, 2022

**What do you like best about PhotoShelter for Brands?**

Themeing is straightforward and easy to set up

**What do you dislike about PhotoShelter for Brands?**

The search feature feels outdated and I wish there was an easy way to have your own "board" or mood board for working on different projects.

**What problems is PhotoShelter for Brands solving and how is that benefiting you?**

quickly sharing photo assets. It takes load off the photographer that we are able to go in ourselves to find something.

  ### 37. Super easy!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 22, 2021

**What do you like best about PhotoShelter for Brands?**

PhotoShelter came highly recommended by other brands. It's a quick and easy way to organize photos in a professional manner. Although we are only using it internally there is also a fantastic component for organized external sharing as well. The intro team walked us through everything and answered all our questions so we were comfortable with the system day one.

**What do you dislike about PhotoShelter for Brands?**

This is more on the organization using the brand, but it has been a difficult process to decide how we want to organize our photos in the best way possible. I have heard from other orgs that they did not set standards and guidelines from the beginning and their accounts have become messy and unorganized.

**What problems is PhotoShelter for Brands solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Organization. We used to go to our FB to pull photos for content creation and social media etc. Or we just looked in our massive shared drive for random photos. This helps us use better and more effective photos and we are able to stay away from stock images.

  ### 38. The Perks of Having a Centralized Asset Library

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Emily A. | Digital Marketing and Content Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 13, 2021

**What do you like best about PhotoShelter for Brands?**

The ability to add metadata to creative assets is awesome. For my particular role as a social media manager, I love being able to save the approved caption related to a creative asset. I also use the keywords so that when others access the library, they can easily find what they're looking for.

**What do you dislike about PhotoShelter for Brands?**

The UX isn't completely intuitive. For example, when I first got PhotoShelter up and running, I would easily forget where certain features were and it didn't seem intuitive to find again.

**Recommendations to others considering PhotoShelter for Brands:**

I would recommend to schedule a call with their team and have your questions ready. Their team is very knowledgeable about the product. You can tell they use the product themselves and are able to troubleshoot pain points specific to your business case.

**What problems is PhotoShelter for Brands solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have solved the problem of sharing assets internally and externally with PhotoShelter. It's incredibly easy to organize collections and subfolders (galleries). I have realized that the benefit of having an organized folder of assets and how easy it is to share with others when new requests come up. It's also quite easy to create customized galleries by duplicating certain content and having it customized for the customer's needs.

  ### 39. User since nearly day one, and will be forever

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Sports | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 11, 2021

**What do you like best about PhotoShelter for Brands?**

Photoshelter for brands is our one stop shop for our entire DAM workflow. We are able to simply and easily get our entire photo archive and live shoot in seamlessly from our internal and freelance team. It is a huge resource for us.

**What do you dislike about PhotoShelter for Brands?**

There are very few downsides to this product. I think some of the search functionality in the library can get a bit confusing on which box you should be searching in but ultimately that's one of the few things I see at all.

**What problems is PhotoShelter for Brands solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are utilizing it heavy to make sure the end users (departments) in our organization have access to the best brand photos we have and in the fastest amount of time. The benefits of AI and ML for both our players and our partners are insane and we are just exploring this now.

  ### 40. Amazing DAM for your organization

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Andrew L. | Digital Creative Director, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 09, 2021

**What do you like best about PhotoShelter for Brands?**

The seamless integration between mutliple users. We work with a team of creatives onsite and offsite. We love the flexibility of the system and the architecture behind the scenes.

**What do you dislike about PhotoShelter for Brands?**

Sometimes the website doesn't like certain browsers, like the new Safari has some bugs and doesn't work well. The backend needs some updates but over all it's great in Chrome.

**What problems is PhotoShelter for Brands solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Organization is a the big on, we can keep all of our video and photo assets in one depository. We do not have to worry about space on our local servers and we can access the data anywhere.

  ### 41. Great concept and customer service, but complicated

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Civic & Social Organization | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 22, 2020

**What do you like best about PhotoShelter for Brands?**

The organizational abilities and concepts are really helpful. The customer service is excellent and readily available.

**What do you dislike about PhotoShelter for Brands?**

Names of the features/filing areas. They don't seem intuitive and some are so similar to others that it is frustrating. A quick dictionary of terms would be helpful front and center: Workspace: you can do this here, this is part of a gallery, etc. Gallery: this is where you do xyz, but you cannot do pdq. There are some bugs that are beyond frustrating.

**Recommendations to others considering PhotoShelter for Brands:**

Recommend training where the service agent is not assuming anything of people's skills.

**What problems is PhotoShelter for Brands solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Trying to work on a multi-person project that involves input and ideas and uploads from multiple people. In some ways, PS is a great tool. In others, it is even too complicated for those who are tech-inclined. Helpful would be: examples of how to organize and label; a visual of screen shots of how to do things.
**Please note for questions below, we have 60 employees, but are a volunteer-driven organization of over 250,000. The people working on PS are a few staff, but more volunteers.

  ### 42. user friendly and simple to get started

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 13, 2018

**What do you like best about PhotoShelter for Brands?**

So easy to use and to implement. Visually appealing and easy to navigate and organize.

**What do you dislike about PhotoShelter for Brands?**

The cost is rather high and some useful features are add-ons and and additional cost over the base package.

**Recommendations to others considering PhotoShelter for Brands:**

If you need a photo management system that is easy to use and simple to implement for both internal and external users, this is a great system. It's visually appealing and easy to organize on the back end as well as simple to share out with others for their ease of use.

**What problems is PhotoShelter for Brands solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I was the Google image search for my organization and the speed and ease of use of this system has been great. It's easy for anyone at any level in our organization to use with little to no training or explanation. It's also easy to add vendors to the system and grant permissions to different groups.

  ### 43. Great way to organize photos during large-ongoing events.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Bruce C. | Owner | Director Corporate Communications | Marketing | Public Relations | Public Affairs, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 12, 2020

**What do you like best about PhotoShelter for Brands?**

We used Libris during our large, ongoing National Conference. It provided easy, remote access to employees back in the office who could them organize the photos or videos and make them available to attendees almost instantly.

Great tool for associations and others who manage large events.

**What do you dislike about PhotoShelter for Brands?**

We had some difficulty using the live cloud option, but standard uploads worked well.

**Recommendations to others considering PhotoShelter for Brands:**

Practice using the Cloud Option before your event and ensure your cameras will upload and that you have the bandwidth to make it work.

**What problems is PhotoShelter for Brands solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Providing association members access to event photos faster, which resulted in improved social media sharing.

  ### 44. Libris so far...fills a need we have with photos and video sharing

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 17, 2016

**What do you like best about PhotoShelter for Brands?**

Easy to use. Easy to upload. Easy to share with others.

**What do you dislike about PhotoShelter for Brands?**

Sometimes people lose their access. No changes will be made to permissions, but they can't access or download. The only thing that seems to work is for me to delete permissions and re-enter them. It gets annoying. Also - it's frustrating that it just doesn't work with Safari. It used to. But all it does now is spin. It would be nice if it were more mobile friendly.

**Recommendations to others considering PhotoShelter for Brands:**

Know what you're looking for first. Then see if photoshelter checks off those boxes for you. Photosshelter is pretty and navigates well.

**What problems is PhotoShelter for Brands solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Having images in a place where folks from different units on campus can find and download their own images. Having images easily shared and archived among our unit.

  ### 45. Very easy to use and performs as advertised and required.

**Reviewed Date:** December 29, 2020

**What do you like best about PhotoShelter for Brands?**

Search function - Easy to find what you need.

**What do you dislike about PhotoShelter for Brands?**

Folder structure is clunky and can be time consuming to navigate.

**Recommendations to others considering PhotoShelter for Brands:**

If you want a simple and easy to use DAM then this is the one for you.

**What problems is PhotoShelter for Brands solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Ease of finding assets

  ### 46. Marketing and promotion through collaboration made easy!

**What do you like best about PhotoShelter for Brands?**

We are using PhotoShelter for our lacrosse association to store and share photos from various events with our member associations, partners, and media.

**What do you dislike about PhotoShelter for Brands?**

We haven't run into anything yet. Tagging takes a bit of time, but I think we will find a system that works for us.

**Recommendations to others considering PhotoShelter for Brands:**

I highly recommend using PhotoShelter for brands!

**What problems is PhotoShelter for Brands solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our associations are run by volunteer boards who often don't have access to their own photography to promote their programs. This has been an incredible resource for us to help them with the tools they need to create engaging content for social media.

  ### 47. Great product for organizing and sharing photos!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Banking | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 15, 2017

**What do you like best about PhotoShelter for Brands?**

Libris allows us to easily store and find photos for our different needs, as well as share files easily with others.

**What do you dislike about PhotoShelter for Brands?**

Recently I've had issues where not all of the keyword metadata pulls over into Libris making it more difficult to find photos.

**Recommendations to others considering PhotoShelter for Brands:**

Before you start uploading, take time to identify your primary gallery organization and user access levels to maintain optimal organization and simplify your ongoing data management. And be certain to tag photos when you upload them to make finding them easier.

**What problems is PhotoShelter for Brands solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Libris allows us to minimize the amount of time spent looking for appropriate photos and allows us to provide certain users with access to the libraries so that we do not have to pull photos for them.

**What do you like best about PhotoShelter for Brands?**

Search functionality is great. Super quick. It makes storing and archiving images a breeze.

**What do you dislike about PhotoShelter for Brands?**

I'm not sure if it's an admin setting, but it would be helpful to be able to do multiple downloads at once when you create a workspace.

**Recommendations to others considering PhotoShelter for Brands:**

If you struggle with easy location of your photography assets, look no further than photoshelter.

**What problems is PhotoShelter for Brands solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our photography archives were a mess before and it would take forever to find an image we needed. Photoshelter makes finding images a breeze!

some things are not as intuitive as I'd expect

**Recommendations to others considering PhotoShelter for Brands:**

Very nice interface and great search capabilities

**What problems is PhotoShelter for Brands solving and how is that benefiting you?**

ability to share galleries with clients

  ### 50. Meh. Photoshelter is ok.

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 16, 2021

**What do you like best about PhotoShelter for Brands?**

I like all the meta tagging that is encouraged with photo shelter. This helps with the search feature and is great is you only know a product that's featured in a photo or a certain theme you need.

**What do you dislike about PhotoShelter for Brands?**

I don't love the user experience as much as other photo management sites I've used. When you have an image pulled up and try to scroll down, it doesn't work to see all the details until you hover over the actual details and then scroll. The navigation on the bottom that you see when you have a photo selected should be at the top as that is where you naturally look for it.

**Recommendations to others considering PhotoShelter for Brands:**

Do your research before locking yourself in to one thing bc the setup is so involved and getting other partners onboarded or not is very time consuming.

**What problems is PhotoShelter for Brands solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The problems that were being solved with PhotoShelter for Brands were accessing imagery on an agency behalf for different departments that needed different access to different things that belonged to the client. The workspaces are all different and Google Drive for images just doesn't work and it's helpful to have different options of sending a link to a file on the platform rather than having to download it to your computer and then re-upload somewhere else especially when working with large TIF files.
