When you decide to follow the model of using open-source programs, some problems arise. In my case, when we decided to migrate all our Windows computers to Ubuntu we found the problem that we could not continue using the Windows Office package. Luckily, Libre Office put an end to that inconvenience. Libre Office is easy to install and use in addition to configurable in Spanish (the native language of our project). These programs are, without a doubt, one of the most used in my day to day. Especially the text editor and spreadsheets. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The documentation is well done and extensive in English, I think it can be improved in other languages (at least in Spanish, the language I use). I think there are missing tutorials to learn how to use the program in depth, especially for those more advanced functions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The graphical user interface in LibreOffice is similar to other common office suite applications, so it doesn't take long for experienced office staff to use. We can load and save documents in lots of different formats. The spreadsheets can execute most of the formulas and calculations that I enter into it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I think LibreOffice is a great office suite and has been able to do everything I expected of it, so there are no dislikes to speak of from me. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

the best thing about libre office is that its free of cost and it perfoms so good despite costing no money at all. Its and open source software with almost all the features of its competitor. One thing i liked the most about it is that its open source and it provides users features they need without costing them money at all this is the best office suit. its and open source project so if anyone wants to help them they can help them by using their software and may be donate them to support more. i dont like it feels like not so good visuals of the interface i would like to see an overhoul of the visuals because if it will look better then more people will use it and it will be it will support more people reducing cost of it and then they can use this saved money somewhere else. with this application i can make text documents, spread sheets, presentations, maths, drawing, and all.
conversation of file formats is easier we can export to pdf, preview in web browser and all many more Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
when we use different types of application available at once usually it will crash for a time, later on it will be recovered but it's waste of time.
loading of documents is a bit slower. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

First of all it is the best and free suit for personal and official use. It is the best source to making a document as well as it doesn't need any sort registration. It works nicely on all the operating systems but I usually use it for Linux. It has improved interface in last update which is much better in application and much better with Linux. It doesn't provide mail editing also it doesn't save data when it crushes. Due to its free it has lack of many features offered by Ms Office. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I have used libre office for documentation purpose and for data management. It helps me a lot for organising data and performing mathematical operations on data. It is best for grouping of data using pivot. Using macro we can automate spreadsheet when working on a large set of data. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It gets hanged when try to load large file or take a lot of time in opening. Use of macro is not user friendly. Vlookup features is not easy to use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
A number of years ago, Microsoft Word was really usable software for people who are comfortable office suites. Then they added "features" to make it user friendly, which means that if you already know how you want to format something, you have to get rid of MS's defaults.
Libre Office, on the other hand, just lets you do your work. It is functional without being paternalistic. Libre Office is a fully operational Office Suite. It is fully compatible with MS's suite so you can open MS files and you can save files in the MS format. The documentation on Libre Office is really good.
Libre Office is open source software. It has been created and continually refined by people who care about creating good, solid software. It has a great track record for stability. It can be used on Mac, Windows, and many flavors of Linux. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I have not found things that I dislike about Libre Office. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

LibreOffice is an economical way to access the same tools. Microsoft file formats The basic tools included in the package are a text processor for creating documents, a spreadsheet for calculations, and a presentation tool for creating audio-visual presentations. There are also a few additional tools that come with LibreOffice. These are them: Draw, Base, and Math. The Base tool is very effective in creating large databases, and designers will appreciate the drawing tool. Many applications and functions integrate, which is, of course, useful for those who use the package to create professional presentations. Software remote file function allows users to download files from cloud storage. A simple click will download files from Google Drive or OneDrive when your account is connected. The unfortunate side of file management in the program is the lack of original tools for cooperation. Multiple users cannot edit a single document. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The application is so great in that it places all the the most important features like the frames, paragraphs etc within an easy reach to enable us to produce and beautify the appearance of our book.
The application also enables us to have a good image quality by right clicking on the picture in the document which brings up various option to select from and also adjusting them using the adjustment option. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The application doesn't come out with tutorials to help the beginners in the learning process
The application is also not so fast in terms of responding and consumes huge amounts of space. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Why do I like LibreOffice?
Easy, it's free!
Like any good open source product it is a free product and can be installed and used on practically any OS, without complications or compatibility problems, with particular attention to the hardware resources used.
So much so that it works great even on older PCs.
It has an active community of users who improve it day by day and have incredible stability!
It supports practically any type of file and allows you to have an efficient and free Office suite. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Being an open source product, it has very bad technical support, but fortunately, thanks to the community, it is possible to solve every problem without too much effort.
Also the compatibility with documents coming from other Office suites is a bit scarce, which sometimes creates problems, but which an expert user can easily solve. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
