What do you like best about LibreOffice?

This is LibreOffice, an editor and created of documents and spreadsheets, with all ease of operation in windows, linux, and much more, being able to edit and create docs, docs, docx, xls, xlsx and ppt and several others being well functional Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about LibreOffice?

what I do not like is that its platform in most cases does not support the most common formats (.doc, .docx, etc) more works well for being a free source code Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering LibreOffice:

I recommend a lot, for being a free editor the same delivery very well your need being able to stand out in several situations, exceeded my expectations and today we use a lot of it for all this I highly recommend this excellent document manager Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is LibreOffice solving and how is that benefiting you?

the most we use with this solution of libreoffice, are daily works, document creation docs, updates, spreadsheets in formats, xls, xlsx creation of presentations for meetings and projects, everything simple fast and totally free Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about LibreOffice?

Easy to use, different application packages, like the equivalent of Word and Excel and available for free download, meaning completely free. We could say that it is the continuation of OpenOffice, which stopped being supported a few years ago. If you cannot or do not want to invest in the Office package, it is a good alternative. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about LibreOffice?

When you start using it, if you are familiar with the Microsoft application, you soon begin to miss certain tools. The interface also gives the impression of being a bit outdated, although this is merely visual. Certain incompatibilities when opening Word or Excel documents, which often causes the documents not to display correctly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering LibreOffice:

I recommend it as a supplement or in jobs or homes that are not used much or where you don't want to invest money in software. It works for basic documents or viewing documents created with Microsoft Office, but as a main tool, I think it doesn't achieve the same quality. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is LibreOffice solving and how is that benefiting you?

It's okay if you have jobs that use few and don't want to invest in paid software. Also for simple documents and spreadsheets. It also comes with other application packages, but mainly I have used those two, which are the ones I can comment on. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about LibreOffice?

LibreOffice maintains the essence that OpenOffice left us, the project that stopped evolving a few years ago. It remains free to use and offers us something very similar to what the Microsoft Office suite is, although in a simpler form. The only big advantage I see is that there is no need to pay for a license to use it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about LibreOffice?

It doesn't add anything new. Basically, it's the Microsoft Office package with fewer options, although if we don't have another alternative or don't want to pay for a license, it can get us out of trouble. I don't recommend it for professional use, as it generates incompatibilities with many files and others it directly doesn't interpret correctly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering LibreOffice:

I think it is a good option if you don't have more alternatives, but for daily use, I don't recommend it. It doesn't have very refined options and doesn't interpret many of the files that are opened well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is LibreOffice solving and how is that benefiting you?

In some clients when we have the Office package it can be useful, but we haven't given it more use than that. It doesn't solve everything users would expect, but it can be useful at certain times. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
