I use LibreOffice to write documents, make tables or diagrams, or slides.
It's very useful and user-friendly. It's portable, doesn't matter if you use a Mac or a PC. Awesome! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The interface: probably they could do a better layout. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
This is LibreOffice, an editor and created of documents and spreadsheets, with all ease of operation in windows, linux, and much more, being able to edit and create docs, docs, docx, xls, xlsx and ppt and several others being well functional Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
what I do not like is that its platform in most cases does not support the most common formats (.doc, .docx, etc) more works well for being a free source code Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Easy to use, different application packages, like the equivalent of Word and Excel and available for free download, meaning completely free. We could say that it is the continuation of OpenOffice, which stopped being supported a few years ago. If you cannot or do not want to invest in the Office package, it is a good alternative. When you start using it, if you are familiar with the Microsoft application, you soon begin to miss certain tools. The interface also gives the impression of being a bit outdated, although this is merely visual. Certain incompatibilities when opening Word or Excel documents, which often causes the documents not to display correctly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
LibreOffice maintains the essence that OpenOffice left us, the project that stopped evolving a few years ago. It remains free to use and offers us something very similar to what the Microsoft Office suite is, although in a simpler form. The only big advantage I see is that there is no need to pay for a license to use it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It doesn't add anything new. Basically, it's the Microsoft Office package with fewer options, although if we don't have another alternative or don't want to pay for a license, it can get us out of trouble. I don't recommend it for professional use, as it generates incompatibilities with many files and others it directly doesn't interpret correctly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I saw that the best replacement for Microsoft Office is Liber Office, because at first, it is FREE, and it has nearly the same solutions that MS Office has Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Liber office is not same as MS office in many ways, and it does not have the same flexibility as MS office, but when using Linux then it will the best choice as replacement of MS office Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The ease that one can "slide into the driver's seat" so to speak. Been using office suites and sorta office suites since command line WordStar back in the CP/M days. LibreOffice requires zero ramp time to use. Libre word processing has some good authoring features as well Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Having to download the off-line HELP functionality. I always forget to do that. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
