Top Rated LibreOffice Calc Alternatives

Out of all the LibreOffice tools, I use Calc the most as i find it more to my liking compared to GoogleSheets (Which we use for collaborative work). I still find offline apps to be more reliable and snappy compared to webapps like GSuite. Libre Calc still covers all the bases for me, mostly databases related work.. did I mention it's Free?? You can be in the middle of nowhere with no laptop in tow, happen to borrow someone else laptop to beat a deadline only to find they dont have excel, and you just dont like webapps... Just go download LibreOffice Calc...and you're set Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Charting and graphing is still better on Excel, but that is to be expected since it's from a Tech Giant like Microsoft. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

* I can import Excel spreadsheets before some of my colleagues can read them, because LibreOffice Calc is updated quickly and automatically after every MS Office file format update.
* Excel may be impacted by viruses in its scripts, but LibreOffice Calc does not use the same script language, so the viruses are not a danger.
* It is community supported, and I have influenced that community to allow CSV files named *.XLS to be imported like Excel spreadsheets. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
* Excel VBA is not removed, but just not used, so viruses could be passed on the Excel users without the knowledge of LibreOffice Calc users.
* There are a few Excel functions that don't yet exist for LibreOffice Calc users, but not many. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The best thing is that on an operating system like Linux, using Microsoft excel is a mess. So this becomes one of the best alternative option which provides you with most of the features that you'll
probably need. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The overall software holds up most of the features and simplicity but than lacks in Ui/Ux,the user-interface is quite unattractive. You might feel bored while using the software but its kind of someone's personal preference. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Não tem algumas funcionalidades que o Excel, mas nada que seja um problema. É uma grande ajuda diária na minha empresa ter esse programa.
As vezes não faz uma funcionalidade que eu preciso. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It has nearly all the functions Excel has and is very well documented. Whenever I run into something I'm not sure how to do, a quick search on the internet usually yields the answer I need. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The functions are a little tricky. Seems like Excel and Google Sheets are a little more user friendly as far as functions go, but it's bearable. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

LibreOffice Calc is very easy to use, it is intuitive and helps me a lot to achieve my productivity goals at work, considering that I always use it for reference. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
LibreOffice Calc does not have certain features that Excel has, but there is no problem at all, as they are features that I do not miss in my daily life. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The software is free and works well on Ubuntu, and is usually able to open Excel documents without too many issues. However, for generating and creating your own Excel like worksheets it lacks many of the necessary features needed to be a complete replacement. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The software is clunky in both its UI and what it is capable of doing. I am unsure if it is due to copyright that it has to perform such roundabout methods to achieve the same thing, but the functionality and ease of use are miles worse than Excel or even Google Sheets. All the functionalities are very useful and the program works flawlessly, at least on my Windows system. I have to say that what I like the most is that this is a free-to-use tool, but it is not bad for that. The function system works in a similar way to Excel. And I have been able to integrate tables that I have made in other Programs without any problem including Google Docs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Some functions of the program are a bit hidden and sometimes it is difficult for me to find them. Also, I think the program's interface is a bit outdated. Also, I think a function that syncs content to the cloud would be great. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

LibreOffice Calc is the best and perhaps only strong reason to use LibreOffice. I have used LibreOffice and home and work for the last 15 years. Calc has seen me torture it with gobs of data time and time again. I have gotten it to crash occasionally, but with what I was doing to it, I knew it was a possibility. I routinely use Calc for data imports to our ERP system, Odoo. It handles running multiple VLOOKUP queries per line over thousands of rows without a problem. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Every now and then, when you torture the program, it will crash. My problems with the LibreOffice suite do not come from Calc, but rather from Writer, which infuriates me. I have come to see Calc as a trusted resource. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I enjoy the versatility of LibreOffice Calc. I've used it to create presentable QA reviews, record and calculate stats for marketing and sales purposes, and organize lists of names and data. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
While creating custom formulae is possible, LibreOffice Calc does not make it very easy. For example, I could not set up alternating row colors without much trial and error. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
