What do you like best about Leo?

Engineering companies generate huge amounts of CAD and text data, but most of it sits unused. Their current tools (CAD editor, PLM) don't provide any useful search capabilities- very minor ones based on the text of the titles of the parts, which is provides bad fit to the problem in hand (the title of the part doesn't describe when'll the geometry of the parts etc), especially for mechanical engineers. Leo changes that. It integrates directly with PLM and existing workflows, making past designs, standards, and calculations instantly available. The result is fewer errors, faster decision-making, and a more consistent process across teams - all with enterprise-grade security. What do you like best about Leo?

In the defense industry, engineering teams deal with some of the most complex products in the world- large assemblies, thousands of CAD files, and decades of design documents.

The real challenge is navigating the massive amount of organizational knowledge stored across PLM, CAD models, Excel docs, PDF and Word files, technical reports, and presentations.

This is where Leo changes the game. It’s the first AI I’ve seen that can actually search and answer questions across both CAD files and text-based engineering documents. I tried to use GPT to analyze cad and it failed, because it’s a language model. Leo, on the other hand was built to understand CAD and engineering data. Instead of digging through endless folders or relying on senior engineers to recall where a decision was made years ago, teams get instant, accurate answers tied back to real models, drawings, and approved documentation. Engineering in defense is never simple: countless CAD models, layers of PLM data, and information spread across too many systems. Leo turns this complexity into clarity. Instead of searching for files or recreating past work, our team can quickly identify proven designs, confirm standards, and build on solid ground - a real GameChanger.

The difference is immediate. New engineers don’t rely solely on others to explain how things were done in the past. They can verify requirements directly, cross-check against trusted sources, and move forward with confidence. Senior engineers, in turn, gain back time by no longer stuck answering repetitive questions, but able to focus on solving new challenges.

One project illustrates this well. While designing a barrel for a strike system, Leo provided the relevant material specifications, dimensional tolerances, and safety margins according to applicable standards. It also surfaced associated inspection methods and fatigue considerations. What would have required pulling from multiple documents and references came together in one reliable flow of information.
