## Legion WFM Reviews
  ### 1. Improves Scheduling, Needs Better Time Punch Accuracy

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tyler G. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 16, 2026

**What do you like best about Legion WFM?**

I really like the better user interface for store managers in Legion WFM, and its capabilities for configurations centrally are impressive. The company’s attention to customer feedback and willingness to adjust over time is something I really appreciate—even if it’s not always quick, it's clear they're trying to meet our needs. I’m also excited about the new capabilities and roadmap, especially the agentic AI experiences aimed at specific use cases to cut down on manual work for employees. These features could potentially bring insights to district managers to ensure better labor decisions at the store level.

**What do you dislike about Legion WFM?**

The accuracy of time and attendance punches compared to the pay file creation doesn't always match, which means manual edits are needed before going to payroll. Also, the initial setup took about 14 months, and there were stability concerns with time and attendance going down regularly during the first year. Although it seems to have stabilized now, these were issues initially.

**What problems is Legion WFM solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Legion WFM improves the user interface for store managers, central configurations, and generates labor forecasts. New AI features reduce manual work and data validation headaches, potentially offering insights to improve labor decisions, which could greatly benefit district managers if implemented effectively.

  ### 2. Efficient Scheduling and Real-Time Insights

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Carl J. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 16, 2026

**What do you like best about Legion WFM?**

I like how the schedule optimizer in Legion WFM can significantly reduce the time spent writing schedules, allowing the GM to post a schedule in minutes. This feature can save hours weekly, giving GMs more time to spend with employees or guests on the floor. The real-time attendance provides valuable labor insights that can be actioned in real-time, helping us understand what is happening at the moment to better respond to business needs. Additionally, the demand forecast greatly improved the accuracy of our forecasts compared to before using Legion WFM, which enables us to plan more accurately with labor scheduling and be better prepared to deliver great guest experiences.

**What do you dislike about Legion WFM?**

The report generator has a learning curve to be able to understand how to build custom reports and extract the needed data.

**What problems is Legion WFM solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Legion WFM for schedule planning, reducing time with the optimizer, and gaining real-time insights into attendance. It enhances demand forecasting accuracy and helps with compliance, providing better labor planning and real-time responses to business needs.

  ### 3. Optimizes Strategy with Intuitive Employee Engagement

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tim C. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 16, 2026

**What do you like best about Legion WFM?**

I like the user-friendly mobile app for frontline workers. It really engages employees in the scheduling process by enabling availability updates and allowing them to claim or offer shifts. The forecasting and labor optimization functionality stands out as a key differentiator, helping us to optimize our labor investment across retail stores efficiently. I also found the initial setup to be relatively easy, as we went from discovery to rollout in six months for scheduling.

**What do you dislike about Legion WFM?**

I have issues with reliability during releases. Core functionality can degrade or fail, causing problems. For example, I'm unable to print schedules or the UI shows coverage requirements that do not align with actual requirements.

**What problems is Legion WFM solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Legion WFM to optimize labor investment and align employees with customers while staying within financial limits. The mobile app engages employees in scheduling by enabling shift updates. The labor optimization feature was a key differentiator for us.

  ### 4. Powerful Features, Some Implementation Hurdles

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Brittany E.

**Reviewed Date:** April 16, 2026

**What do you like best about Legion WFM?**

I like Legion WFM's UX design and the API for data connections, as it facilitates easy data extractions that help us make better business decisions. The easy clock-in and out system with customizations is reliable for associates and is attractive for store employees. I also appreciate the customer support and communication, especially the customer success team, which is available and interested in improving accounts and partnerships.

**What do you dislike about Legion WFM?**

It's challenging with forecasting and schedule creation. It would be more beneficial if these features were rolled out during implementation rather than later. Store managers don't trust the schedule and the schedule score, and it's tough to get adoption.

**What problems is Legion WFM solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Legion WFM is an all-inclusive system that helps with time and attendance, labor planning, and scheduling. It's attractive for store employees, reliable for clocking in and out, and lets us make informed business decisions. The customer success team improves our accounts and partnerships.

  ### 5. User-Friendly Interface, Easy Transition with Scheduling Benefits

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jesse T. | sales associate, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 11, 2025

**What do you like best about Legion WFM?**

I like Legion WFM because it's easy to use. The user interface is simple, which helps me post the amount of time I'm available, and I can easily communicate with other associates or team members to see their availability and pick up shifts. I also like how it keeps track of the hours I've worked. The ease of use is great for interacting with team members, posting schedules, and communicating with my manager or district manager. Being able to DM specific team members is a nice feature.

**What do you dislike about Legion WFM?**

The paid time off part of it doesn't ever factor in how many hours that you've been given or the amount of estimated pay that you'd be given for those hours. It's kinda hard to keep track of it in your weekly schedule.

**What problems is Legion WFM solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Legion WFM helps me with time management and scheduling, showing me how much money I've made. It's easy to use, lets me post availability, communicate with colleagues, and track my hours efficiently.

  ### 6. Improves Scheduling but Complex Reporting

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Patrick H. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 16, 2026

**What do you like best about Legion WFM?**

I find Legion WFM easy to use for our managers, which is a big plus. It’s been a great benefit for our store employees with the app, as it makes it very easy for them to submit time-off requests, availability, and visualize their schedules. Using their traffic forecasts helps us maintain adequate staffing levels.

**What do you dislike about Legion WFM?**

Reporting has been a challenge for us. Getting custom reports for our specific needs is complex and usually requires the Legion team to help build.

**What problems is Legion WFM solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Legion WFM to maintain staffing levels with traffic forecasts, simplify time off requests for employees, and set consistent service standards year-round despite seasonality. It’s easy for managers and beneficial for store employees.

  ### 7. Promising Disruptor, but Gaps in Manager Functionality and Implementation Support

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Retail | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 16, 2026

**What do you like best about Legion WFM?**

The mobile app is modern and intuitive, driving strong adoption among frontline store teams with minimal training required. InstantPay is a real differentiator that competing platforms don't consistently offer and has been well-received by hourly employees. Employee self-service capabilities such as shift visibility and swap requests have meaningfully reduced routine administrative burden on managers.

**What do you dislike about Legion WFM?**

Implementation was the most significant pain point. Legion's project management was disorganized, creating delays and unclear ownership that put undue burden on our internal team. For a platform being sold to enterprise customers, the implementation experience did not match the maturity we expected.

**What problems is Legion WFM solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Legion was brought in to modernize a legacy WFM system. On the employee side, the mobile app and self-service tools have reduced routine administrative tasks and improved how frontline staff interact with their schedules. Better compliance visibility has been a standout benefit. Having real-time insight into labor law adherence has meaningfully reduced risk.

  ### 8. User-Friendly Admin Setup, but SSO Login Issues

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospitality | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 16, 2026

**What do you like best about Legion WFM?**

As a newer user and Administrator of Legion, I have been incredibly impressed by how intuitive and user-friendly the interface is. Often, enterprise-grade WFM systems have a steep learning curve, but I was able to get a firm handle on the administrative configurations relatively quickly.
A standout feature is the automated timecard approval workflow. The ability to set granular filters is a game-changer; it allows the system to handle the "business as usual" approvals automatically while still flagging specific exceptions that require a manager’s manual intervention.

**What do you dislike about Legion WFM?**

The SSO login and account recovery process for associates is a significant pain point. There is often confusion among employees regarding the difference between using SSO and a standard email/password login, especially when they get a new device.

As an Administrator, I lack the ability to reset these accounts or resolve these credential issues directly. Instead, I have to reach out to support for an account reset and then put the associate through the entire re-onboarding process from scratch. This creates a repetitive administrative burden and a frustrating experience for the end-user.

**What problems is Legion WFM solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Currently it is solving a retro issue.

  ### 9. Centralized Compliance with User-Friendly Interface

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** David C. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 16, 2026

**What do you like best about Legion WFM?**

I find Legion WFM user-friendly for end users. It aids significantly in compliance by helping mitigate risks, and acts as one central database. I also appreciate its adaptability and the partnership it offers—understanding our needs and partnering to ensure those needs are covered.

**What do you dislike about Legion WFM?**

I think the forecast accuracy could be improved—it would help to have a clear threshold of what they consider accurate enough. Also, I feel like the documentation should be created based on our business setup for better relevance.

**What problems is Legion WFM solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Legion WFM for compliance, as it helps mitigate risk and serves as a central database.

  ### 10. Effective Labor Forecasting, With Room for Integration Improvement

**Reviewed by:** Moe N. | Senior Manager Analytics and Retail Strategy, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 16, 2026

**What do you like best about Legion WFM?**

I like how Legion WFM adapts and evolves with our evolving labor model. It continues to support our stores as we grow and evolve, which is really important for us. I also appreciate that it allows us to schedule and staff more effectively.

**What do you dislike about Legion WFM?**

We're still early on with our adoption but so far the only frustration has been around integration. Not super easy but it was expected.

**What problems is Legion WFM solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Legion WFM for labor forecasting and scheduling. It adapts to our evolving labor model and supports continuous growth, allowing us to schedule and staff more effectively.

**What do you dislike about Legion WFM?**

Wish you could default shift sort on scheduling page

**What problems is Legion WFM solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Legion WFM for scheduling and T&A. It boosts WFM efficiency, optimizes shift generation for better workload coverage, and the associate app aids in achieving better work-life balance.

  ### 15. Intuitive, Employee-Loved UI That Makes Scheduling a Breeze

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Retail | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 16, 2026

**What do you like best about Legion WFM?**

Legion’s UI is incredibly user-friendly and intuitive. We receive a lot of compliments from our employees who use the mobile app to review their schedules and take quick actions, such as updating availability, swapping shifts, and more.

**What do you dislike about Legion WFM?**

The reporting capabilities feel limited in terms of the metrics we need to leverage, and the exported output can sometimes be inaccurate compared with what’s displayed in the UI.

**What problems is Legion WFM solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Legion has reduced the overall time spent in the tool creating schedules vs our former WFM tool, allowing our leaders to reinvest that time with their teams.

  ### 16. Intuitive Scheduling, but Configuration Clarity and Rollouts Need Work

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** CJ P. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 25, 2026

**What do you like best about Legion WFM?**

Ease of navigation. Many of our locations have said they can understand how to do things just by looking at it. The scheduling is intuitive

**What do you dislike about Legion WFM?**

The configuration descriptions aren’t always clear, and some of them seem tied to other settings rather than being independent. Also, projects tend to take longer to roll out than anticipated.

**What problems is Legion WFM solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It’s easy to handle scheduling and keep accurate track of time.

  ### 17. Legion review

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Retail | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 15, 2025

**What do you dislike about Legion WFM?**

New features are exciting but never seem to work as intended on the first go round.

**What problems is Legion WFM solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is solving the ease of schedule collaboration for our end users with shift swaps and open shifts.

  ### 18. A WFM provider thinking differently and moving quickly!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ryan H. | Divisional Vice President of Retail Innovation and Operations, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 06, 2025

**What do you like best about Legion WFM?**

Our stores LOVE how simple, clean and user friendly the UI and experience using the app is. The workforce management space is filled with dinosaurs and Legion is the shiny new car in the space. They are innovating quickly, responding to customer feedback and scaling at lightning speed. The service is built from the ground up to leverage AI. In a world of products that have AI feeling like it's bolted on, Legion feels very different.

**What do you dislike about Legion WFM?**

Legion is much newer on the market than other providers, every business is unique and so you may find during implementations you're missing a feature, setting or toggle you really wish was available. The good news is because Legion is so open to improvement and growing rapidly you won't be submitting an ER and then waiting YEARS for it, they'll get it done reasonably quickly and you'll get a voice to help shape the product.

**What problems is Legion WFM solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Legion is saving our Store Managers time by streamlining payroll submission, schedule creation and allowing them to spend more time on the sales floor and with their teams. It's helping them make better, more efficient and compliant schedules. Associates feel they have greater voice and flexibility in their schedules than ever before!

  ### 28. Some aspects are cool, but generally legion sucks

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Entertainment | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 22, 2024

**What do you like best about Legion WFM?**

The ability for staff to change shifts without calling managers by phone or coming to the office.

**What do you dislike about Legion WFM?**

I can't see multiple peoples availability at once. This is especially inconvenient when I'm trying to schedule for a position with only a select number of people train for the position, I might have somebody who can close that position but I can't see that that without going specifically to them. Alternately, if I could just see everyone's availability as I am scheduling the day that way I could see when say I can't find anybody close, but if I just move Bob closing, then I can schedule Stephanie for opening.. I can't see my staffing levels directly while looking at a time off request. Managers do not have multi levels, meaning in assistant manager can approve an assistant manager for time off. It is impossible to schedule an employee in two different positions at different times on the same day for example, working 10 AM Till two and one job, then doing a different job the rest of the day when they're off at six. When I need to schedule a staff meeting, Legion then will not recommend anyone to me for the other shifts during the day. I didn't have to search manually, but it won't give me errors that correctly show that they are already working a incomparable shift. For example, if I have them working 7 AM-9 and 10 to 5 PM, the first two hours are for the meeting and then they work the regular shift till three. However, when I manually search. It only shows that they are working to 7 AM -9. And will allow me to schedule them from 5 PM to 1 AM. Pretty sure I'm missing some other problems, but these are the ones that come to mind.

**What problems is Legion WFM solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The only benefit I see from Legion compared to previous systems is that Legion allows employees to put requests in from an app rather than me being forced to deal with paperwork, or having them come to the office and me manually put in whatever they're requesting. Request include time off shift changes shift, swaps, etc.

**Official Response from Sean Cox:**

> Thank you. We take all feedback seriously and have shared this review with our Customer Success team. We're pleased to share that some of the functionality you're describing is available to you now. Please contact your admin for a quick tutorial on these features.

Regarding availability, updates are coming in our scheduled summer release to improve availability visibility and manager workflows.

  ### 29. Legion was transformative, associates now have their schedule readily available on their mobile.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Francois P. | Gérant des Opérations Sénior - Ventes & Opérations, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 09, 2024

**What do you like best about Legion WFM?**

Building a schedule with Legion has been great because it’s intelligent, automated, and employee-centric—and that’s exactly what we need. We want to allow our store manager to spend less time building a schedule and spend more time on the sales floor, giving the best customer and associate experience.

**What do you dislike about Legion WFM?**

Nothing so far given the tool is constently evolving and the Legion team is working with us to ensure future enhancements are meeting our needs.

**What problems is Legion WFM solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Optimizing labor hours by scheduling our associates based on accurate traffic forecast. The associate engagement has improved given the ease of use of the tool and also the fact that they are able to pick an extra shift when it’s available or to swap shift with a colleague to fit their personal lives engagement. We launched Legion InstantPay almost a year ago as we were looking for a tool to support our associates in their financial well-being. We had a great response from our associates (close to 30% adoption rate). Not only did they adopt the solution immediately, but it also unlocked an added benefit which was a better clock-in performance. They are now clocking in & out on time since they want their money right after their shift. In fact, the clock-in performance for associates that did adopt InstantPay improved by almost 70% in the first 3 months. This all lead to a higher retention.

**Official Response from Sean Cox:**

Our staff very much enjoys the shift swap and offer shift functions where they no longer need to have a call list/call coworkers to find coverage for their shifts.

I really wish there was a copy and paste function within the program when creating a weekly schedule. Currently each shift needs to be created individually, it is somewhat time consuming.

Legion does a great job of timekeeping and flagging missed clocks or shifts. We are able to add notes when employees call out sick or anything of that nature. The clock in/out process is very simple for employees via the use of a PIN number.
