LearnDash Pros and Cons

It was pretty easy to install in my current wordpress site. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It doesn't work. The registration uses recaptcha that conflicts with the WordFence recaptcha. The only help I got was to turn off recaptcha on the entire site which would leave our site vulnerable to attacks. There was almost no problem solving and critical thinking when it came to helping me get my site live and allowing people to register.

Even though i cannot launch and use the site I paid for, I am not able to get my money back.

In addition, the plugin is incredibly slow when you are building a site. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I've built a couple of websites with LearnDash now, and I've got to say that customer support is one of my favorite features. Just recently, Chandni, from their support team, helped walk my client through which plugins and addons we would want based on their feature requirements. As for LearnDash itself, the platform is incredibly easy to use. It is also a plugin and not a theme; which is great because themes are generally more of a pain to customize and will often conflict with other plugins. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The only downside to using LearnDash in my experience is the loading time of some of the pages on the Wordpress dashboard, but that is also very server dependent. That being said it can take a while to upload courses purely based off that. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Some things like course bundling and shopping carts are unnecessarily complex; and when integrated into CMSs, it is hard to track class enrollments with an external tool like GTM because everything is hidden in LD classes and course codes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I'm not disappointed but would have loved to have in-built SMS notifications as part of the LMS since most other LMS products have this feature. Apart from this there is absolutely nothing that you will dislike about LearnDash. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I like everything about LearnDash. I would say that I like the drag-and-drop builder functionality the most, as it is by far the most useful feature. It allows my team to see how their course will look as they construct it, so that everything is perfect when it is released.
