Teams can set goals at the individual, team, and company level.

Real-time progress updates are visible across the org.

Goals can be tied to reviews or feedback for alignment.

✅ Benefit:

Increases transparency and alignment across teams.

Fosters accountability and focus. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Lattice?

🧩 1. Can Feel Overly Complex at First

Issue:

The platform is packed with features: performance reviews, 1:1s, OKRs, engagement surveys, feedback, analytics, etc.

New users often find it intimidating to navigate or adopt all at once.

⚠️ Impact:

Teams may underutilize key features without proper training.

Onboarding takes time for both HR and individual employees.

🔄 2. Too Much Manual Input

Issue:

Users often need to manually update goals, fill in review inputs, and log talking points.

There’s limited automation or integrations for pulling performance data from tools like Jira, Salesforce, etc.

⚠️ Impact:

Goal tracking and review inputs can become a chore if not maintained regularly.

Risk of reviews becoming a check-the-box exercise.

📅 3. Notifications and Nudges Can Be Annoying

Issue:

Lattice sends frequent reminders to complete reviews, update goals, or prep for 1:1s.

While helpful, some users feel overwhelmed or nagged—especially during review cycles.

⚠️ Impact:

Can lead to notification fatigue and employees tuning out important prompts.

📉 4. Limited Customization for Some Features

Issue:

Some users feel constrained by rigid review templates, goal structures, or survey question banks.

Fine-grained permissions or workflow customizations may be lacking depending on the org's size and needs.

⚠️ Impact:

Larger or more specialized orgs may need workarounds or admin-heavy solutions.

🧾 5. Historical Data Isn't Always Easy to Surface

Issue:

While you can view past reviews and feedback, some users report it’s not intuitive to find or analyze trends over time.

Feedback history across teams or managers can get fragmented.

⚠️ Impact:

Harder for managers or HR to make informed promotion or coaching decisions quickly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Strong, but pricey"
4/5
What do you like best about Lattice?

They've implemented some neat AI features that enhance 1:1s and reviews, all of which have potential Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Lattice?

Pricing could be better, we were seeking savings and ended up moving away from Lattice and into more HRIS modules because feature parity was 85%+ but pricing was way more competitive Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Lattice Excels at Reviews and Keeps Getting Better with New Features"
5/5
What do you like best about Lattice?

We chose Lattice primarily for its review functionality, which supports both project reviews and career reviews—something we couldn't find in any other system. In our workflow, we conduct project reviews every quarter and career reviews every six months. Since adopting Lattice, we've noticed the addition of several new features, such as performance improvement plans, succession planning, and engagement tools, all of which we are now utilizing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Lattice?

Some of our team members occasionally find it challenging to distinguish between the Growth Plan and Goals. I believe it would be beneficial if these features were made simpler. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Streamlines HR Processes, Needs AI Improvement"
3.5/5
What do you like best about Lattice?

I appreciate how Lattice streamlines performance reviews and allows us to customize our review cycles and forms the way we want. The calibration tool is very helpful, moving us away from error-prone spreadsheets. I was delighted to see performance improvement plans added to enhance our processes. The Goals and Feedback features improve visibility and make review writing much easier. The Compensation tool has been a game changer in our merit process. I like the configuration options and the streamlined approval process, as well as the ability to see where we're at in the merit increase budget. Lattice empowers managers by assigning them a budget and enabling them to submit increases for approval up the chain of command. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Lattice?

The AI functionality is not as strong as what I've seen with competitor software. Also, when we demo'd the Engage platform, we chose a competitor for employee surveys because their analytics and AI were much better. The compensation module is not very intuitive; adding new salary bands, updating them, assigning them to employees, and setting up a new comp cycle always take more time than they should, and are never intuitive. I often run into hurdles and have to use the search for help. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Seamless Platform with Outstanding Support"
5/5
What do you like best about Lattice?

I really appreciate that Lattice's customer service is excellent, second to none. The online chat allows me to answer questions simply in real time, and if I need more help, I can arrange a time to speak to someone or get an email to delve into questions further. The AI in Lattice is really helping, and the new features coming on board are going to make it even better, particularly a notetaker feature that will help our managers by saving them time in their one-on-ones and development reviews. Lattice is a one-stop platform where we can store all of the information, refer back to weekly updates, and have everything seamlessly aligned with monthly one-on-ones that feed into quarterly development reviews. We can set goals and track their progress. I find Lattice very easy to use and user-friendly, everyone took to it really well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Lattice?

It would be great if Lattice integrated with our HRIS system, which at the moment, it doesn't. It's not really a problem, but it would just make things even more seamless for us. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
