The system is robust and versatile. The team support that labware provides are on point and can fit your needs so that you have a functional system. Once you create a visual workflow, its very easy to install since it cloud based and very easy to use and navigate. Training operators and techs is no issue once its configured properly. The system is frequently used in operations and QC for compiling daily testing and monitoring of the process. Integrating with scanners and tablets makes is very convenient. It is highly customizable and can do just about anything you want. We are learning more about folders and I wish the training covered them better as they are super useful/powerful. Labware consultants have been great. **What do you dislike about LabWare LIMS?** My only real complaint is that I feel it could be simpler. There are settings such as facility and plant that we don't need that still have to be configured. The process template that was brought it also had a previous set-up in it so there were/are a ton of analysis/subroutines/etc present that are not needed. It make it more confusing in trying to see what does what. **What problems is LabWare LIMS solving and how is that benefiting you?** Labware is solving our problem of replacing a system that was extremely outdated and not designed for a large scale corporation. labware is global and can be configured to be an enterprise based system. Labware is our primary LIMS system for the corporation and will be networked throughout the company to centralized as one standard electronic software for collecting and analyzing QC data. ### 4. The latest generations of the LabWare LIMS platform offer pre-designed templates so the LIMS System can be deployed out of the box with only minimal configuration needed to get up and running. **What do you dislike about LabWare LIMS?** Since LabWare LIMS can be incredibly customized and specifically designed, it can be challenging when it comes time to upgrade to a new version. It is advantageous to minimize customization when at all possible to prevent pitfalls when upgrading in the future. **What problems is LabWare LIMS solving and how is that benefiting you?** The general goal of being paperless can only be achieved with robust comprehensive systems such as LabWare LIMS. Tracking standards in SRIM is also immensely helpful for tracks that are required to track the result trends of standards and controls over time. Storage Location Manager is helpful for several of our labs with too many samples in long-term storage and the need to store all that data in a structured, queriable environment. ### 6. The internal change management system is also excellent and even promotes database changes. The system can run on most any database and offers multi-language support, even for custom fields or tables added after the fact. The ELN (electronic lab notebook) is incredibly powerful and has the ability to replace nearly all outside spreadsheets that may be floating around the lab. It also has excellent audit tracking and traceability tools which are customizable and adaptable. **What do you dislike about LabWare LIMS?** Interfaces are not cohesive and differ from module to module, and most are not modern looking. It also tries to meet the needs of many industries, meaning almost no industry gets exactly what it wants. It is very customizable because it has to be. This product is less like a full-blown, ready-to-go LIMS system and more of an operating system within which one can design their own LIMS system. **What problems is LabWare LIMS solving and how is that benefiting you?** Collection of data, verification and review of data, and data reporting. ### 9. It provides easy navigation for functionality, result entry, and reporting and meets compliance requirements. LIMS application provides functionality to enhance existing functionality for their module. This customization is more straightforward than I have observed in many other enterprise systems. The Service support for the product is top-notch, and the email distribution list to ask questions is very effective and authentic. **What do you dislike about LabWare LIMS?** Reporting is complex, mainly if you use the old LIMS version. It isn't straightforward to generate graphs if you don't know all the data and can't have multiple charts in one go. **What problems is LabWare LIMS solving and how is that benefiting you?** We use LIMS for Lot Management, Environment monitoring, and reagent inventory and having one place for all these activities helps us to streamline our processes. Using LIMS allows us better control data entry and meet the need for compliance for GMP need. Reporting provides an easy way to retrieve data. The LIMS application has reduced the paper-based system required to document results. Labware has a flexible and simple way to customize the software to fit exactly what our lab needs. It has simple and easy way to set up specifications and has a very visual flag on the GUI for all users, including web or cloud users. It has a robust and granular layout of functional priviledges allowing admins to easily limit different user access, either by role or individual, or a mix of both. **What do you dislike about LabWare LIMS?** Very little, other than maybe the overall look can be considered a bit dated (icons and such), and the current push to cloud services could be considered a costly feature. **What problems is LabWare LIMS solving and how is that benefiting you?** Labware continues to provide excellent help and its service desk is always very quick to respond. The hosted user forum is always monitored and has a very active community that always seems to have a solution if not a fix. Design looks a little bit old, but it still works so its not a big deal.
