"Great readability with seamless connection between control, data acquisition and data processing"
What do you like best about LabVIEW?

Usually, data acquisition unit needs careful programming for scanning interval, recording frequency, etc. However, LabVIEW's powerful DAQ assistant function treats these annoying issues without writing a dedicated program by users. All I need to set is the measurement interval and which unit I want to use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about LabVIEW?

I am always annoyed with version issues of LabVIEW software, DAQ driver, real-time OS, etc., when I update systems or add hardware products. In most cases, I have to manage versions with my excel sheet or handwritten memos. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Great "programming language" for the graphically minded research person."
What do you like best about LabVIEW?

I am a person that would rather connect GUI pictures with wires that write a lot of type-written code. I am a graphically oriented person with a BSEE degree. LabView is the perfect language for me and the way my brain functions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about LabVIEW?

LabView can be a little cumbersome for some extremely fast data collection or processing. The inherent nature of being a graphically-oriented language can make the execution slow for some applications. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Test Automation Must Have"
What do you like best about LabVIEW?

A lot of automated testing requires knowledge of the device being tested which means the background of the person writing the code may not have a background in software development. LabVIEW is a great tool to learn that doesn't require that background but can be utilized by domain experts. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about LabVIEW?

The runtime size makes distribution difficult and I wish I could do more personal application development through the web. It's just lacking some fringe toolkits like a good PDF creation toolkit. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Software and Hardware Simulator"
What do you like best about LabVIEW?

The main advantage of Labview is that it is a paraller processing like multiple tasks are done at a time. It is FPGA-based programming where you can do from the Verilog language. The output in the graph is straightly visible, and no need to alter things as they are already in the required format. The main advantage of Labview is that it supports different platforms like Windows, Linux, Mac OS. It is the open development software, and various software is integrated. Its library helps the user to use it easily. Somebody can easily use High-level graphics in it for designing or simulating. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about LabVIEW?

The biggest disadvantge what i found is software needs more space to get installed. And generic ARM no port is avaliable, which needs to be watched out. If i need to insert a numerical data from SQL database to Labview database its hard or i can say there is no database communication here in this part.Remote client application needs to be developed, which is lagging.

Connecting andriod devices and developing or testing the application is very difficult task. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Labview it is an amazing tool. It has a lot of tools and can help you to develop wherever you want"
What do you like best about LabVIEW?

The facility to acess all the functions just by clicking the righ button, you can access all the tools and make any search to help you to find out what you want Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about LabVIEW?

The software it is a little heavy to install and to run. You will need a very good computer so you can run the software and run the applications you just created Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Easy to use - Process Automation Solution"
What do you like best about LabVIEW?

LabView helps us automate our plant, even for engineers with very little coding expertise. It uses graphical interfaces enabling people to visualize the program flow being written easily. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about LabVIEW?

Troubleshooting sometimes can get messy! An easier interfacing process to outside sources (like an OPC server) would be ideal. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Best visual coding for the widest range of applications"
What do you like best about LabVIEW?

The best aspect is the visual coding experience. I am a visual person, so for me it makes a big difference to be able to "read" the code at a glance. The structure is simple, and the organization tools makes code readable. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about LabVIEW?

Some details in how DAQmx functions work with certain hardware are not always explained well. There are still bugs/incompatibilities when using Thunderbolt connection with PXI controllers. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"For me LabVIEW has a very strong support base. It covers very vast area of industrial area."
What do you like best about LabVIEW?

LabVIEW covers vast area of application like Automobile, Semiconductor, Aviation, RF Communication and many more. It has a strong base of support team and experts in each field. So as a developer it helps me a lot to execute my projects reliably using LabVIEW tools. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about LabVIEW?

LabVIEW should cover areas like ADAS, Vision based solutions, ECU testing etc. To be true there's not much that i dislike about LabVIEW. The only thing i feel is that they should increase there area of application even further so that i as a application developer cover more projects. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Best comfortable and simply usable"
What do you like best about LabVIEW?

The user-friendly interface provides beginner users with a step-by-step guide to quickly develop and execute fast applications and assemble testing tools in a very short time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about LabVIEW?

The incompatibility with the previous release is necessary, and for this reason, adequate hardware on the PC is needed. It will be helpful to perform maintenance on old applications developed on old PCs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Ideal for prototyping"
What do you like best about LabVIEW?

LabVIEW, in combination with the NI DAQ devices, allows you to quickly create the hardware and software that will enable you to perform your specific measurements. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about LabVIEW?

The documentation could be more rigorous. Sometimes you need to try some software components to understand what it does.

The cleanup tool that repositions all components does not function optimally. You may spend quite some time making your code readable. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
