"I have used LabVIEW only in context of academia and have yet to apply it personally in my industry"
What do you like best about LabVIEW?

Visualization of process flows and front end/back end panels. This a great intro program for students as I used this program initially in university for a physiology course which implemented the program for coding a medical diagnosis program. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about LabVIEW?

It was difficult to find certain features used in creating certain programs. This programs may not be the most intuitive if you are not an inquisitive mind. Many students struggled without the help of our instructor but those who spent more time learning the program were able to use it without ease. However, some components of the program that can use some improvement is the option for receiving Help. A question and answer forum would be extremely useful in that users could ask questions and have a resource for answers that is ever growing as more and more users contribute information. Examples of how certain features could be also be provided as well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"GUI Development for Grinding machines using Labview"
What do you like best about LabVIEW?

Labview helps modular when a person with less programming experience try to make user interfaces. Graphical programming features of LabVIEW is much helpful to learn to program for freshers.

It displays very good hardware communication and drivers. It has a nice GUI interface that you use to create your programs/instruments. It's easy to use, once you learn it. Many examples are available by users online. It is a language/GUI unique to its kind and very versatile in the applications that it can encompass.

It's the ability to record and analyze high-precision low-level measurements makes it a really useful tool for scientific purposes. A whole control system design can be easy. DAQ assistant is really useful for capturing data from high precision devices. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about LabVIEW?

The main disadvantage of LabVIEW codes is difficult to follow and review. It'll be difficult to understand when we're trying to debug or test programs coded by others. Expert LabVIEW engineers are very rare and It needs lots of effort to recruit persons for LabVIEW programming.

Sometimes seems a bit bloated in that if I want to create a very simple EXE then there's a lot of stuff that has to install around it. The controls for the user interface are very limited and creating custom controls is a real pain. Going to vector-based graphics will be nice but so far NXG is not usable for developers creating programs for clients.

Some things are just easier to do in text-based languages. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"LabView is Amazing"
What do you like best about LabVIEW?

Since I am not a coding person, LabView helps me built user interface by just picking the elements and analyzing without hectic code and stuff. And the best part was when you don't know something about a feature or elements, LabView's help pop up and it explains you without even go to some browser, which saves a lot of time and i think that part makes LabView superior to other similar software. "Labview is an Amazing Tool for Engineers"
What do you like best about LabVIEW?

The graphic presentation of the processes makes it easier of reading and quickly understand what a section of code is doing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about LabVIEW?

Small changes in the code can cause profound restructuring of the program, since whenever a new block is inserted it is necessary to go back to connect wires and symbols to restore the new operation. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"LabVIEW - student review"
What do you like best about LabVIEW?

This program is great because it is illustrative and great for beginners. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about LabVIEW?

I think that I would appreciate if the functions are better categorized. That would help to choose faster the function that we need. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Experience with LabVIEW"
What do you like best about LabVIEW?

The Interface (GUI) of the program is one of the interesting part. It is very easy to interface hardware with the LabVIEW. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about LabVIEW?

LabVIEW is very suitable for some target specific problems, esp. hardware interface and processing. When I used LabVIEW, I was a student and therefore, I never explore the other issues that professionals facing but for the student, there is nothing that they dislike. "The best software for automation and measurements"
What do you like best about LabVIEW?

Easy to learn the basics. Almost unlimited possibilities when you master it. You can do everything you would do with a general purpose programming language. Drivers support for most of the equipment I have used. Excellent customer support from National Instruments. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about LabVIEW?

Integration with other technologies and programming languages is not always straightforward. The computer you run the executables on needs to have a run-time engine. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Automation of final year project for my degree"
What do you like best about LabVIEW?

What I really like is the visual programming feature which allow convenient nested loops without making any substantial errors and the ease of traceability. And not to mention the easy and ready to use functions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about LabVIEW?

As a non-computer science nor software expert, I really can't comment on this in details. I have only used it during my college and it was very handy. But it would always be beneficial to provide a complete and detailed system of a real world engineering and automation problem so others can further learn how to appropriately use it in solving problems. And this is of course mainly for professionals who are not specialized in computer science such as engineers. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Used LabVIEW to teach students basics in programming"
What do you like best about LabVIEW?

The best thing about this software is that it offers a very good opportunity for people who have never programmed to understand the basics and learn more complicated programming languages. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about LabVIEW?

I dislike that it is very hard to control the cursor sometimes and that with more complicated problems, a program can easily get messy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
