Labguru is fantastic for a wide number of laboratory organizational needs. It is the first place I go each day and is easily one of my most used resources. It is fairly easy to organize, track, and plan different projects, experiments, and protocols on the platform. Additionally, it is also easy to track my reagent useage, key antibody information, and core liturature resources. It was easy to start as a new user, and integrate into normal lab operations. Some more advanced features are less easy to use and hard to utilize correctly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Having everything—including projects, protocols, recipes, and consumables—organized together with direct links to whatever is needed ensures efficiency and accessibility. We can integrate the various options that Labguru provides and access them whenever we need them. I use Labguru almost every day with ease and without any problems. About two years ago, I encountered an issue with organizing my projects and creating folders, which I mentioned to customer service as a suggestion. To my pleasure, I found that it was updated, and the changes I recommended were implemented. I am now completely satisfied with how everything has been arranged. Convenient combination of data documentation (experiments and projects) and inventory (Consumables, Ab's, cell lines, plasmids, etc.). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Sometimes the server (probably) shuts down and LabGuru does not work properly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Labguru's core features impress with their solidity, seamlessly handling inventory data and promoting collaboration among our team members. A huge plus is that molecular biology and inventory support come as standard. The included search feature is also very powerful. Implementation was very smooth, and the real-time support provides peace of mind. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Nothing at all that we have observed. All features are quite mature and bug free.
Their software is also being consnatnly developed with new features and functinoality. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The organization, the quick accessibility to things I need with a quick search Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Uploading large files. I always get an error message and have to play with the excel file to make it easier to upload. I have found that just making my own custom template speeds up the uploading process Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It allows to effectively organise your stocks, whether they are cells, reagents or rodent specimens. Allocate them to locations (rooms, racks, boxes) and consume reagents in the experiment records helps keep track of what needs ordering. The experiments can be created, organised, moved and even saved as protocol templates which allows flexibility, as it does the option to link resources. To import and export list of any stocks is very easy and fast using the excel templates. As a manager, is very easy to distribute roles and access to the different users. Sometimes the local edit plugin function to edit a document embedded in an experiment doesn't work properly and requires manual editing, which is more time consuming. Overall it requires to spend time learning how to use it, but this is because it's very comprehensive and has many functions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I like how you can even add your stocks and cell lines, where they are frozen and how many there still are. Labguru is really orderly and all-inclusive. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
You can only mark it as failed or succesful, but I would also want to label things "general" for e.g. logs of cell culturing which is not an experiment but just something you do all year round. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Intuitive design/ implimentation, friendly staff (customer support), great template setting, good equipment maintainance setup, and thoroughly useful signing system. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The system not integrating with our barcode scanner or label printer.
Couldn't autopopulate with previous records of past experiments.
Using the API we couldn't get just surface level information of the experiments (names, metadata) without also getting their full data. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Tracking of samples: making our DNA linkable to experiments and linking between samples to see full up and downstream.
Inventory function is useful for database: linking stocks to inventory is useful for finding items. Especially for multiple preps of the same plasmid
Boxes are useful to use for storage of items and the visual box with rows and columns is very useful.
Protocols are clear to use, and SOP is very useful. Integration with Excel is easy for uploads and inbedding into protocols is useful for calculators in experiments. Timer function in protocols is very useful for tracking changes in timings of incubation.
Ability to make an experiment a protocol and a protocol an experiment is very useful.
Project function is useful for seeing full line of experiments. It is also useful for planning stages.
Once you are used to the system it can be fairly easy to use.
Overall the ability to track everything is the main apeal. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Name of stocks and inventory is confusing. For those with english as a second language, Stocks and Inventory mean the same thing as a definition, despite the systems function being separate. Remaining Inventory to 'Database' (or something similar to Database) would help decrease confusion.
Having ALL STOCKS uploaded under the same parameters can be a real challenge. Different departments require different information, but because you have all stocks uploaded using same parameters, it can make it difficult and confusing.
Additionally, whilst it is mandatory to add storage location of stock, and link to a inventory and specific entry on inventory, this is not indicated in the mass spreadsheet import. Please add the manadotry ' * ' that you have on other sections such as name
Once you are used to the interface it is easy, however the initial set up and training can be very confusing. Again, having inventory and stocks under different titles, would decrease confusion.
Sequence upload: other competitors have a function that when you upload the same sequence twice, itll recognise and connect the two sequences to one another. This could be a feature to add. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Strong customer and developer support. Intuitive interfaces with an extensive feature set. Automation workflow engine allows for susbtantial customization and optimization of pipelines. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Interface can become slow with large datasets or extremely long notebook entries. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
