Inventory function is useful for database: linking stocks to inventory is useful for finding items. Especially for multiple preps of the same plasmid Boxes are useful to use for storage of items and the visual box with rows and columns is very useful. Protocols are clear to use, and SOP is very useful. Integration with Excel is easy for uploads and inbedding into protocols is useful for calculators in experiments. Timer function in protocols is very useful for tracking changes in timings of incubation. Ability to make an experiment a protocol and a protocol an experiment is very useful. Project function is useful for seeing full line of experiments. It is also useful for planning stages. Once you are used to the system it can be fairly easy to use. Overall the ability to track everything is the main apeal. **What do you dislike about Labguru ELN LIMS?** Name of stocks and inventory is confusing. For those with english as a second language, Stocks and Inventory mean the same thing as a definition, despite the systems function being separate. Remaining Inventory to 'Database' (or something similar to Database) would help decrease confusion. Having ALL STOCKS uploaded under the same parameters can be a real challenge. Different departments require different information, but because you have all stocks uploaded using same parameters, it can make it difficult and confusing. Additionally, whilst it is mandatory to add storage location of stock, and link to a inventory and specific entry on inventory, this is not indicated in the mass spreadsheet import. Please add the manadotry ' * ' that you have on other sections such as name Once you are used to the interface it is easy, however the initial set up and training can be very confusing. Again, having inventory and stocks under different titles, would decrease confusion. Sequence upload: other competitors have a function that when you upload the same sequence twice, itll recognise and connect the two sequences to one another. With the ability to make a project and have multiple scientists add data is very useful. Being able to see the upstream experiments is great for time management and checking Quality Control Data. Downstream individuals can also get an idea of what is happening and plan accordingly. Not having to chase people individually for certain datapoints will be very useful in saving time. Tracking locations of items is very important. Labguru allows for specific locations of items to be listed and therefore makes it easy to identify locations. With the stock vol/mass removal function in experiments, it also helps to check in advance if reagents need to be reordered. ### 3. The inventory system is useful to keep track of samples - how many and how much of any stock, and following a sample's usage throughout it's life. Managing equipment usage and maintenance is easy. The API is powerful and flexible and is ideal for automation and for pairing with the workflow editor. Datasets are very useful for aggregating data and making it accessable for further analysis Dashboards are useful for getting regular updates in an accessible way Permissions are relatively easy to set. Can be a little sluggish at times **What problems is Labguru ELN LIMS solving and how is that benefiting you?** I started using Labguru when I was setting up a moderately large testing project for assessing patient samples. The project required us to manage tens of thousands of aliquots of thousands of individual patient samples. Each sample was to be tested for tens of different biomarkers. The solution I chose was to use automated sample testing procedues. Each aliquot was given a unique barcode at collection, this was then tracked through any experiments. The results data are then uploaded to labguru automatically following data acquisition and attached to the appropriate experiment. The workflow editor is then used to process the uploaded data, to ensure the data are validated according to the assay acceptance criteria. Accepted results are then used to update a set of datasets that collate all of the available data in a form that can easily be used for further analysis. Labguru enables this in a logical manner. At the same time we use Labguru for the general research and development projects that are currently more manual. Labguru performs well in both environments ### 14. You have everything on the main page at a glance that shows what is going on and what needs to be done, calibrated, signed, expired,... The instrument inventory is easy to use, it reminds you of the date and type of maintenance to perform. Printing a label for anything and scanning it directly for an experiment or project is super easy. You can manage your stock easily by consuming, moving and deleting them. Link them also to experiment and consume only a part of it if you have big volumes. Enotebook is convenient to follow as you can create your protocol in different ways with different sections. You can also find a repository of protocols from vendors or users. You can have access to number of tutorial with videos and learn how to use Labguru. The customer service is amazing. You can contact them whenever you want and they find a solution for anything. YOu have a chat option on your account and they answer your question within a day (even though it is faster than that and always between 1 and 4h before we get an answer! Labguru is continually improving its website and adding new features over time. I was in charge of choosing an ELN for my current workplace. I wanted to try something else after using Labguru for so many years (since 2011). I tried a different ELN for several weeks, which was a little better in a few things, but it was missing more than a few key features I want my ELN to have, and Labguru has them. I like that the tech support team is rapidly answering and that we can Zoom-talk and share screens. Besides, the interactions with the support feel very personal and friendly. I appreciate Labguru's efforts to improve their tools. **What do you dislike about Labguru ELN LIMS?** Some features are already there but still need to be completed. For example, the spreadsheet was recently improved, and now it has more Excel-like functions, but a few bugs make it unworthy to use. Before that, for a few years, there was a worse version, premature. I wish I could more easily Upload samples to my experiment. The current way is also good, but one needs to move and click the mouse a few times to complete the action. I imagine a shortcut key that opens a list of collections/samples/stocks to choose from while writing, adding a sample as part of the writing process, at least as an option to users. I think the whole issue of form elements and data sets is great, but I still haven't been able to use it. Whenever I try, I realize I don't understand how to operate it properly. The articles - the information regarding a topic (in my case, it was probably the form elements and data sets) is spread across different articles, the academy, and webinars. A digital lab book it helps to share immediately with other lab members projects, experiments and protocols in a very detailed way. Lab guru allows you to has an inventory function which allows you to have every lab reagent/equipment categorised. It also possible to connect it to label printers **What do you dislike about Labguru ELN LIMS?** The most annoying thing to me is the fact that excel doesn't include calculations. Also sometimes it takes a bit to long to load, specially if other lab members are working on the same project/protocol/experiment. **What problems is Labguru ELN LIMS solving and how is that benefiting you?** I like the function of linking reagents and samples with experiments, which it makes extremely easy to go back to specific samples used or lots of reagents.
