I use LabGuru daily for all my experiments. LabGuru enables smooth lab operations, especially for our high-throughput peptide screening needs." Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I can't add a comment when consuming stock that is not part of an experiment.
For the experiment's plate map, I can use LabGuru's standard setup unless I have a special organization of samples on my plate. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Labguru allows us to streamline all operations form inventory to data managment. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Labguru has so many features that it can be difficult to navigate. I know I am not using all features that it is capable of simply because it is too much information to take in at one time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Very flexible, I can create workflows that can streamline almost any task in the ELN
Great customer support
Easy to link entities
Easy to collect and store data Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Interact with datasets only via API
Slow at times
Data is sometimes not saved when it says it saved. Requires waiting a couple mins for it to fully update
Sequence features found in more expensive ELNs not present Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The electronic notebook enables our laboratory members to efficiently maintain all of their data, collaborate with others and store every imaginable type of electronic file directly from our instrumentation. It is easy to use, easy to implement and easy to integrate into our local systems. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I would not call it a "dislike". My preference would be for the company to form user groups to propose fixes, improvements or new services. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
My favorite feature is attaching XLSX, PDF, and PPTX files to the experiments. I can easily communicate with my PI about the genotyping results, data analysis, and imaging. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The inventory function needs improvement. I can create an inventory but the current format is difficult to keep track of. Managing primers is easy, though. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Very easy to prepare protocols for performing experiments, and allows easy tracking for where you are during a procedure. Different people can swap in and out and it is known who has performed what step. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I have been using Labguru since April and so far have not found any issues. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

1) Labguru covers all the main features that we use in our organization. These include:
- ELNs with timestamps
- Standardized protocol modules that can be used to build experiments and imported into ELN entries
- Project folders for easy organization of experiments, protocols, literature and other documents related to a project
- An inventory system for chemicals and samples, that allows specific reagents and samples to be linked to experiments
- All of these features can be highly customized
2) Labguru is user-friendly, intuitive and easy to navigate. We have had little need to be in contact with their support team.
3) Labguru is very secure, offering many methods for 2FA.
4) The Labguru team was very transparent regarding features and pricing when we were first introduced to the system. I'm mentioning this since we've been in contact with sales reps for other LIMS in the past that failed to be transparent regarding available/paywalled features. I wished that the calendar had more functionality, for instance that it was possible to assign different colors to different experiments for an easier overview of what everyone in the team is currently working on. The ability to pull up a list of assigned daily tasks (based on current ELN entries), or to get reminders about upcoming/overdue tasks, would be another useful calendar feature.
An integration with Quartzy would be highly useful since we use it for ordering chemicals. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Lab Guru is great for keeping our experiments consistent and on track. It is quick and easy to create a new experiment for a new lab member (or myself) using pre-populated customized protocols, which then guide them through the daily tasks of their first experiment. Labguru's flexible format makes it especially easy to customize protocols and experiments to reflect the dynamic workflows of an R&D based lab.
It is also wonderful to have perpetual documetation of what has been done for later analysis, which is available at any time for anyone in the lab, unlike a paper notebook. Its ability to preserve and transfer knowledge for future employees has proven invaluable. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
One of the only downisdes of labguru is that it is reliant on the user to document what they actually did, but that is true of most documentation systems. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Labguru is great for keeping track of experiments. The protocols are really useful and it is easy to organise everything into different projects and folders. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Expired stock only comes up with a notification once it is expired. A notification 2 weeks before would be helpful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The ease of accessing import information is what I like best. I was able to quickly pull up a media formulation I need from an experiment 5 years ago. I use the platform every day to enter data, track experiments, and review our laboratory inventory. We can track what items have been received and make comments about the ETA's of pending items. If I struggle with any aspect of the platform, I can easily reach an agent through the chat feature. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The most challenging aspect of the platform is adjusting to the occassional redesigns of the workspace. It usually requires a few weeks to get accostumed to the new workspace. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
