I also find it easy to adapt to the new design interface, which simplifies my labeling process. I like that it allows the use of larger labels, like the 4 x 2 1/8" labels, which many affordable thermal printers restrict. The initial setup was simple, making it user-friendly from the start. **What do you dislike about Label LIVE?** I found that bringing in an already designed logo was not as graphic friendly in rendering high quality art as with the DYMO software in its day. Before LabelLive we use to rely on printing from Avery Products for our Order Processing, now with LabelLive we have been able to Automate Incoming orders Into Receipt Printers (4x12 receipt Paper) which would have been more complex to do with any other programs. We also print on a compound labels for our devices [ie. Device box labels containing IMEI and other info] . Another good part is how your are able to transfer the license to another device. We first deployed this app on a low end laptop and it worked well enough but it broke down due to age and we were able to transfer to another machine the same day. Batch Printing for us was a great feature as this was what made us able to Automate our Order Printouts and Label Generation through CSV/XML folder dumps. yes Folder Dumps, Just dump a correctly formatted CSV/XML file into a folder LabelLive Monitors and it will take care of the rest. With a What You See Is What You Get (WYSIWYG) Designer Interface you are able to print on almost any printer, We have even tried an 80mm printer and the results were fantastic. The cherry on top of this is LabelLive's Customer Service which I will rate as S Class. Not only are they very responsive, they are also very quick to resolve issues, which for the most part that I have encoutered are due to Windows/Microsoft. **What do you dislike about Label LIVE?** Not really a dowside or a dislike, but more request to have Google Sheet/Database access of last row entry to be pulled from to generate labels. **What problems is Label LIVE solving and how is that benefiting you?** We printout orders with LabelLive along with EmailParser which generates the CSV/XML file and saves it to a shared folder and LabelLive Prints out properly formatted Order Sheets. We also print out Compound Labels 3 Part 1.5inx4.5in total with 2x 1.5x0.5in Labels with barcode and a larger 3.5x1.5in Device Label. this would have been very complex to implement with any other software. ### 5. We currently use Square for Retail, but I believe this is also applicable for Shopify, Clover, Talech, etc. This app at the very start appears to be a solid designer for custom labels. It connects easily to our wifi connected printers (laser jet as well as a Zebra mobile printer). It can do Mac AND Windows. Updates are frequent and the beta versions always seem to have tangible improvements. We use this app every single day to help our customers find prices easily, for our inventory tracking, and for easier purchase orders. That in itself is hard to find in this market and price range. However, the thing that sets this app apart is its very deep integration with programming logic (show or hide elements) as well as integrating well with our spreadsheets (by the use of variables we can pass into it). We particularly like the HTTP/MQTT feature that allows us to print labels directly from Google Sheets - the same spreadsheets that we use to update our inventory can now print labels. This save us a significant amount of time that translates into real dollars saved by being able to efficiently utilize our staff. We have the logic version of the app that even allows the use of Javascript to get really deep! It allows us for a single file to serve multiple use cases and it's a huge time saver. Last but not least, Caylan, the developer, is hands on with his product. He IS the help line. I've never come across a software company who's owner is so directly involved in the end customer's satisfaction. This speaks volumes and creates a lot of trust on my end. Please support more companies like this! **What do you dislike about Label LIVE?** I believe some of the UI/UX could be improved but that is purely preferrential and I believe a lot of the things are in the works. It's just packed with so many features that it's fairly negligible compared to what the app offers in return. Other than that, I'm hoping to see an iOS version in the future - fingers crossed! **What problems is Label LIVE solving and how is that benefiting you?** We use Square for Retail which has a paywalled barcode printing solution that is fairly underdeveloped. We were looking for a robust solution that can take multiple use cases, but most importantly LOOK good. We take our branding seriously and this app by far is the most capable in getting our labels to look exactly the way we want it to. Nothing else comes close. Using this app has saved us so much time with inventory management and has elevated the shopping experience for our customers, translating into money saved/earned. ### 7. We use it in our business case for conference badge printing, and we have a general template format, set up with our business information which allows us to easily implement the attendees information into the software. While we do use this software primarily only twice a year for conferences, we do use it for general item labels as well to which provide a very quick and easy support. The customer service was great from asking for help or integrations into new items. **What do you dislike about Label LIVE?** I do wish that it did have the ability to capture data from an online version of an excel form but as of right now that is the only downside. **What problems is Label LIVE solving and how is that benefiting you?** We specifically use them for conference registration badges that have attendees names and a order ID number with a barcode for tracking purposes. I can easily import a file from excel - no more access database conversion requirements. Customer Support is quick and helpful. I needed to have a registered symbol on my labels and they gave me the code to use. It is <^>® which will add a “superscript” to the text. **What do you dislike about Label LIVE?** It is probably me because I am new to this program but I couldn't find a "size to template" option so it takes a bit of finagling to get the text centered vertically on the label. There is no "save as" option so I have to remember to "duplicate" the label first before making changes when creating a new label. Cannot change the font within the data field so if you want to have the first line bold and the second line regular, you have to make two data fields. **What problems is Label LIVE solving and how is that benefiting you?** I can no longer download the software DesignPro which I used previously to make labels with variable data. The software works perfectly for us day in and day out. So often companies make software and stop supporting it, or it never works like it's supposed to, or the are glitches here and there. Not with this one. The software works perfectly with Microsoft Excel (which we use for tracking our orders). Being able to populate all of my dynamic fields via a basic spreadsheet is also very helpful. Overall Label LIVE has made my labeling more efficient and exceptionally easy to do. Caylan has always responded quickly and been able to help me with any questions that arise, whether it is regarding basic functions, additional features or troubleshooting. I purchased this software for one specific project and have since found so many more uses that allow me to streamline other areas of my job. Definitely worth every penny and I have since purchased an additional license for a second workstation with plans to expand further in the future. **What do you dislike about Label LIVE?** I really haven't had any major issues with Label LIVE. Probably the only complaint I have is that it can be a bit sluggish at times but even that could be attributed to my bargain basement workstation. Occassionally it will give me an error message stating it can't locate my printer, though it still sends print jobs just fine. Also, it can take a really long time (30+ minutes) to render a PDF file version of my labels. But to be fair, I'm usually only running that process for 600-1200 labels at a time. **What problems is Label LIVE solving and how is that benefiting you?** I need to have identifying labels for the parts cataloged by my shop and they must adhere to each of my customers' varying requirements. Being able to have one standard template that I can duplicate and easily reorganize or adjust to each customer request is a life saver. We recently opened a farm market and neeeded a system to print out our nutrition labels to be compliant with FDA requirements. Label Live has been a fantastic system to fill that need! Big enough to handle all the data, small enough to be affordable and accessible. We are PLEASED that we get such a useful software while also helping a small, family-oriented business like ourselves! For what it offers and can do, the price is great and made it worth it! Recommendation: Add SQL integration support! We would love to be able to use it with our current seeding process, as well as import data directly from our ERP! **What do you dislike about Label LIVE?** Though I've had a few glitches that ultimately were just formatting issues, I would have loved a more user-friendly, verbose explaination of the problems so I didn't have to spend so much time with trial and error. My advice, the spreadsheet/data you are importing should be treated AS A DATABASE. Minimize anything that isn't meant for the program to actually use. Don't add any instructional text or info for the person doing the data entry. It can quicky break things and you won't have any idea why things are odd. Go in with that knowledge, and you'll fall in love with Label Live! **What problems is Label LIVE solving and how is that benefiting you?** Printing Nutrition Labels for our products being sold. Our food safety department can add the necessary information in to an a formatted spreadsheet, then our market employees can select what they want to print, done! Another Recommendation: Instead of selecting "row numbers" to print, parse the info live and allow the person printing to checkmark next to each "row item" to select what to print! Select all, deselect all kind of thing. Also a "as you type" search of the row items so they don't have to scroll and find each item label they want to print! ### 17.
