## Kyvos Semantic Layer Reviews
 ### 1. Kyvos Unified Our Business Logic with a Single Semantic Model

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sujal S. | Software Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 12, 2026

**What do you like best about Kyvos Semantic Layer?**

One thing I appreciate is that we can represent fairly complex business structures in one place. Previously, we had business logic spread across multiple models and reports. That made updates harder and introduced inconsistencies when metrics changed. With Kyvos, we moved that logic into a single semantic model, which reduced duplication and made it easier to support cross-domain analysis.

**What do you dislike about Kyvos Semantic Layer?**

Modeling flexibility is strong, so it’s worth spending time upfront to organize definitions properly. Once that structure is in place, though, it’s easier to manage changes and extend the model later.

**What problems is Kyvos Semantic Layer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We were concerned that moving to a new semantic model would require rebuilding a large number of existing dashboards. That would have taken time and disrupted business users who rely on those reports daily. With Kyvos, we were able to point existing dashboards to the new model with just one click.

 ### 2. Kyvos Makes Asking and Following Up on Data Questions Effortless

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Vaishnavi M. | PgM Team - Scrum Master, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 12, 2026

**What do you like best about Kyvos Semantic Layer?**

The way that Kyvos allows our teams to interact with data is incredible in how simple it is to just ask a question in plain and simple terms, without having to create a lot of detailed reports. The ability to ask follow-up questions while still in the same discussion without having to re-create the earlier context is huge and helps us hurry up how long we would spend creating these types of conversations.

**What do you dislike about Kyvos Semantic Layer?**

I think it would be beneficial for more very specific examples of conversational analytics scenarios done as demonstrations to be available to view. Other than that, the process of using Kyvos has been very smooth.

**What problems is Kyvos Semantic Layer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have a lot of very large and complex data sets to look at, and typical BI tools limit our ability to look into the data quickly. We needed a solution to look for insight through conversational analytics that was scalable and that had a good relationship with our business context. Kyvos was by far the best option available after looking through the other choices made available to us. The results have been that our teams have been able to get much quicker insight with greater accuracy through asking questions in the way we would normally ask other people.

 ### 3. Kyvos Keeps Reports Fast and Responsive on Large Datasets

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lavina D. | Software Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 13, 2026

**What do you like best about Kyvos Semantic Layer?**

We were using TM1 earlier and one thing I noticed after moving to Kyvos is how much easier it is to work with larger datasets. With Kyvos semantic layer, reports stay responsive even as data size and complexity increase.

**What do you dislike about Kyvos Semantic Layer?**

Transitioning from an existing TM1 setup required some planning, especially around how models were structured earlier. Once that was sorted, it has been fairly smooth.

**What problems is Kyvos Semantic Layer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We were running into limitations with TM1 as data volume and reporting needs increased. Supporting more detailed analysis often meant reworking models or simplifying requirements. With Kyvos, we have been able to work with different types of hierarchies, including nested and parent-child relationships. Also, Kyvos data model can handle changes over time without constantly restructuring.

 ### 4. Kyvos Semantic Layer Simplifies OLAP Modeling with Unified Hierarchies

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Shreshtha Y. | Assistant Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 20, 2026

**What do you like best about Kyvos Semantic Layer?**

We were previously working with multiple OLAP cubes and managing them started getting complicated as data and requirements grew. One thing I like about Kyvos semantic layer is that we can model hierarchies and relationships in a more unified way instead of maintaining separate cubes for different use cases. It handles multi-level hierarchies and detailed dimensional analysis.

**What do you dislike about Kyvos Semantic Layer?**

Nothing major from our experience so far. Once the model is in place, things are fairly straightforward to manage.

**What problems is Kyvos Semantic Layer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We had multiple models supporting different teams, which meant changes had to be repeated and definitions sometimes drifted. But now they run on a single model instead of multiple cube definitions. This has simplified maintenance and reduced the need to rebuild logic across environments.

 ### 5. Kyvos Makes AI Answers Business-Aligned and Metric-Driven

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Pranjal J. | Head of Data & AI, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 12, 2026

**What do you like best about Kyvos Semantic Layer?**

What stood out to me is how with Kyvos semantic layer, AI responses feel more aligned with business contexts. Instead of just pulling from raw tables, answers reflect actual metrics that we already use. Kyvos also fits well with existing workflows, since teams don’t have to learn a new way of asking questions.

**What do you dislike about Kyvos Semantic Layer?**

The initial setup requires coordination across teams, but after that we haven’t faced any issues.

**What problems is Kyvos Semantic Layer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Earlier, we had to manually validate AI responses before sharing them. That slowed down adoption and limited usage. With Kyvos, teams are comfortable using AI outputs directly.

 ### 6. Kyvos Made Our Dashboards Fast and Interactive Again

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lokesh Kumar C. | Module Lead Software Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 20, 2026

**What do you like best about Kyvos Semantic Layer?**

We started using Kyvos semantic layer mainly because our dashboards were getting slower as data volume increased. Some of our reports involve detailed drilldowns and performance would drop when users tried to explore beyond summary levels. After moving to Kyvos, those same dashboards feel noticeably faster and more interactive.

**What do you dislike about Kyvos Semantic Layer?**

No real complaints at this point. It’s been working as expected for our use case.

**What problems is Kyvos Semantic Layer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our main challenge was dashboard responsiveness. Users often avoided drilling into data because it took too long and we ended up creating multiple summary reports as a workaround. With Kyvos, teams can explore data more freely without running into performance issues.

 ### 7. A Consistent Data Layer That Keeps AI Answers Accurate

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Srijan V. | Software Developer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 16, 2026

**What do you like best about Kyvos Semantic Layer?**

It’s how Kyvos acts as a consistent data layer between our AI models and enterprise systems. It ensures that our business definitions and metrics are the same before AI even touches the data. Since its implementation, we’ve seen a huge drop in inaccurate or “made-up” responses.

**What do you dislike about Kyvos Semantic Layer?**

Nothing in particular comes to mind, really. Whenever we feel stuck, their documentation and support team are easily accessible.

**What problems is Kyvos Semantic Layer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We deal with extremely large datasets across multiple departments, and feeding all of that directly into AI systems wasn’t practical. Kyvos gave us a better way to centralize and structure everything. Our AI application can now query trusted data. We are able to facilitate AI-driven analytics for business users faster and with more confidence.

 ### 8. Rapidly Scalable Data Analytics

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ashutosh B. | Technical Support Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

I find it very convenient to have interactive dialogs with our data in natural language. Kyvos understands business terms and delivers insights instantly - without coding or dashboards.

**What do you dislike about Kyvos Semantic Layer?**

There could be more demos and documentation around different use cases of conversational analytics.

**What problems is Kyvos Semantic Layer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Earlier, our business team often had to wait for days for analysts to run their queries, leading to major delays. With Kyvos we can have two-way conversations with our data and quickly get accurate, reliable insights.

 ### 29. Simplifies data governance like no other product

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Akhilesh J. | Lead Software Engineer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 13, 2025

**What do you like best about Kyvos Semantic Layer?**

It makes it easy to manage who sees what data across the organization. Once I set access permissions at a central level, there’s no need to fix access in every BI tool separately. It gives us peace of
mind knowing our data stays secure but is still easily available to the right people.

**What do you dislike about Kyvos Semantic Layer?**

It’s highly efficient and user-friendly. I don’t have any complaints.

**What problems is Kyvos Semantic Layer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We used to waste a lot of time double-checking reports and tracking down the latest metrics to ensure people worked with accurate data. Kyvos has simplified governance by introducing a semantic layer in our existing data stack. Now, all our teams work with the same definitions and metrics. This has significantly reduced the manual work and made audits and compliance less stressful.

 ### 30. Makes data exploration easy

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ripusudan C. | Software Egineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 22, 2025

**What do you like best about Kyvos Semantic Layer?**

Kyvos has made it much easier to explore and analyze large-scale data. It maps complex data to business-friendly terms and enables us to drill down deep for comparative analysis and granular insights.

**What do you dislike about Kyvos Semantic Layer?**

Haven’t faced any major challenges. Sometimes it’s hard to catch up with the latest updates as they have monthly releases.

**What problems is Kyvos Semantic Layer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We work with petabyte-scale data which was literally impossible to explore with our existing analytics tools. They couldn’t handle data at that scale - drilldowns were limited and comparative analysis was very slow. Kyvos has made this whole process much smoother, it allows easy querying and drilling through raw data using Presto and Hive.

 ### 31. Drilling into details is easy

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Siddharth P. | Senior Software Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 10, 2025

**What do you like best about Kyvos Semantic Layer?**

I really like that I can look at my numbers in any way I want. If I am asked to show results by team or for a certain month, I just click and it’s all right there, super fast. I don’t need to wait for data or make separate spreadsheets

**What do you dislike about Kyvos Semantic Layer?**

Kyvos has been working well for all my tasks and needs without any problems yet. So far, it looks reliable and consistent, helping me get my work done smoothly every day.

**What problems is Kyvos Semantic Layer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It used to take a long time to split numbers by team or by month, and sometimes I had to ask IT for help or wait for someone to build a new report. Now I just do it myself while people are asking questions in a meeting. It’s helped me share answers with my team almost right away, and everyone gets what they need faster.

 ### 32. Powerful tool to solve scalability problems

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nainsi P. | Associate Software Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 07, 2025

**What do you like best about Kyvos Semantic Layer?**

Kyvos advocates the use of Self service BI which helps business users create their own dashboards and reports without needing any IT intervention or help.

**What do you dislike about Kyvos Semantic Layer?**

It's dependence on cloud infrastructure, although it supports on-premise deployment but it's cloud capability and infrastructure integration are more emphasized

**What problems is Kyvos Semantic Layer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is a really powerful tool to solve scalability problems, as organisations grow their data volume also increases and kyvos can seamlessly handle scaling across different infrastructures.

 ### 33. Unified Metrics and Consistent Insights Across All BI Tools

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Vishesh S. | Module Lead, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 10, 2025

**What do you like best about Kyvos Semantic Layer?**

What I like best is that Kyvos gives us consistent business definitions, metrics and logic across all our BI tools. Earlier, multiple teams interpreted KPIs and calculated metrics differently, leading to confusion and reporting mistakes.

**What do you dislike about Kyvos Semantic Layer?**

We were able to get up and running quite quickly. Some advanced features take time to understand, but that’s about it.

**What problems is Kyvos Semantic Layer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We no longer have to worry about metric inconsistencies, and we can use the same definitions across Tableau, Power BI and other tools. This has saved us a lot of unnecessary debate and made cross-department collaboration smoother.

 ### 34. Always provides consistent metrics

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sakshi S. | Sr. Lead Software Engineer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 02, 2025

**What do you like best about Kyvos Semantic Layer?**

Kyvos has helped us standardize business metrics across the organization. Earlier, different teams would use their own formats, definitions and reporting logic – there was no consistent source of truth. Now analytics and reporting have become much smoother.

**What do you dislike about Kyvos Semantic Layer?**

Working well for us as of now, no bottlenecks worth mentioning. Their repository of demos is also helpful.

**What problems is Kyvos Semantic Layer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before adopting this semantic layer, we often used to find the same business metric varying across reports. This meant a lot of manual adjustments and versioning issues. Kyvos has solved this issue, making data analysis much more efficient.

 ### 35. Helping us accelerate BI

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** AYUSH G. | Software Engineer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 03, 2025

**What do you like best about Kyvos Semantic Layer?**

Our team was struggling with real-time calculations as our datasets were massive. Our BI dashboards were lagging and they couldn’t support dynamic, on-the-go analysis across data combinations. Kyvos has enabled us to instantly analyze millions of data points and run complex calculations.

**What do you dislike about Kyvos Semantic Layer?**

kyvos brings many advantages to the table, no pain points as of now.

**What problems is Kyvos Semantic Layer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

 ### 36. Great for multi-dimensional Insights

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ashi J. | Senior software engineer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 24, 2025

**What do you like best about Kyvos Semantic Layer?**

Earlier, analyzing data across regions or time periods was slow and complicated. With Kyvos, I can look at the same data from different angles in seconds and find patterns much faster.

**What do you dislike about Kyvos Semantic Layer?**

Kyvos has helped us reduce both cost and effort, nothing to complain about at this time. Support team has also been helpful.

**What problems is Kyvos Semantic Layer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Given the massive volume of data our team handles, we were finding it hard to slice and dice analytics across multiple measures and dimensions. This was leading to a lot of delays. Kyvos delivers the deep, granular insights we need.

 ### 39. Working with data just got easier

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Shweta T. | Associate Software Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 07, 2025

**What do you like best about Kyvos Semantic Layer?**

Kyvos has eased my work quite a bit. I don’t need to build separate data sets for different tools anymore. I just set up the model once and now everyone can use their preferred BI tool and get insights without any issues

**What do you dislike about Kyvos Semantic Layer?**

Kyvos offers a wide range of advanced analytics features for many different use cases and is incredibly easy to use. Nothing to dislike.

**What problems is Kyvos Semantic Layer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I used to spend far too much time troubleshooting data performance issues and preparing data in different formats for different teams. Now with Kyvos, there’s a single source of truth everyone can rely on.

 ### 40. All our teams get the same trusted insights

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

I haven’t faced any critical issues so far. Their documentation is rather helpful and does a tremendous job of showing you the way through anything.

**What problems is Kyvos Semantic Layer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Kyvos brings together our data from different systems into one reliable source. This saves us a lot of time that we used to spend on merging data manually. Additionally, it lets different teams access the data they need on their own.

 ### 41. Kyvos- very Insightful and consistent

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Aman R. | Software Engineer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 18, 2025

**What do you like best about Kyvos Semantic Layer?**

Kyvos is great tool for semantic analytics, it integrates with both cloud and on-premise environments.
It's performance and speed have been huge help — reports that used to take several minutes now load in seconds, even when pulling from huge datasets. I no longer have to create extracts or build custom summary tables just to speed things up. That alone has saved a ton of time.

Another major plus is the consistency it brings. Metrics are defined once and used across tools and teams, which has drastically cut down on the number of “why don’t my numbers match yours?” conversations. It’s a huge relief to have that alignment, especially in meetings where everyone is looking at different tools.

**What do you dislike about Kyvos Semantic Layer?**

That said, there was a bit of a learning curve when it came to advanced filtering and cube design. It’s not completely intuitive at first, and I had to spend some time figuring out the flow. But once you understand how it works, it’s pretty smooth and powerful.

**What problems is Kyvos Semantic Layer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Kyvos has really helped us move from slow, fragmented reporting to a faster, more unified experience. Dashboards are quick, metrics are trusted, and we spend more time analyzing instead of troubleshooting.

 ### 42. Helps spot anomalies faster

**Reviewed by:** Madhavi S. | Lead Software Engineer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 20, 2025

**What do you like best about Kyvos Semantic Layer?**

It allows me to slice and dice large volumes of transactions data in seconds. I can easily search through the data, examine suspicious accounts and detect unusual transaction patterns that might indicate fraud.

**What do you dislike about Kyvos Semantic Layer?**

The product is functioning well; I don’t think there’re any significant problems worth mentioning.

**What problems is Kyvos Semantic Layer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our fraud checks were constrained by simple queries on limited data. Kyvos allowed us to analyze as much data as we need, which helped us to flag anomalies earlier, reduce false positives and strengthen fraud prevention across the board.

**What do you dislike about Kyvos Semantic Layer?**

Till date we have not encountered any major issues. Looking forward to explore more capabilities of the product.

**What problems is Kyvos Semantic Layer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Kyvos understands business language terms and allows us to get insights from as much data as we want, using natural language queries.

 ### 44. Makes fixing and sharing data easier

**Reviewed by:** Sriram N. | Manager Software Engineer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 10, 2025

**What do you like best about Kyvos Semantic Layer?**

I like Kyvos because when I fix or change something in how data is set up, everyone sees the same thing right away, in any tool. I don’t need to send files or explain changes many times.

**What do you dislike about Kyvos Semantic Layer?**

Nothing to complain about the product so far. It works well for whatever I need to make my work easier.

**What problems is Kyvos Semantic Layer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Kyvos makes it much easier for me because when I add a new rule or fix something, all the reports and dashboards use it right away. I don’t have to double-check numbers or answer lots of questions from other teams anymore. Everyone always sees the same numbers, which saves my time and keeps things simple for me and my team.

 ### 45. Kyvos lets us connect multiple BI tools to a single source of truth

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** priyanka s. | Senior Quality Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 23, 2025

**What do you like best about Kyvos Semantic Layer?**

With Kyvos, we don't need to make stack changes to get faster data access and insights. Whether someone is using Tableau, Power BI or Excel, they’re working off the same definitions and calculations. It keeps our numbers consistent across the board.

**What do you dislike about Kyvos Semantic Layer?**

I found no issues. The availability of in-app guides and quick-start templates makes onboarding new team members and handing off projects between teams smoother and more efficient.

**What problems is Kyvos Semantic Layer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We used to keep separate datasets for each BI platform, which was a nightmare to maintain. Now, we define KPIs and measures once, and every tool consumes them directly. It’s cut down our data prep time and improved trust in our reports.

 ### 46. Secure way for AI agents to access enterprise data

Kyvos helps us give AI agents secure, governed access to all our organizational data. It organizes and governs data across multiple sources, ensuring only authorized AI agents can connect to it.

**What do you dislike about Kyvos Semantic Layer?**

My team and I have not found any issues worth flagging or complaining about yet.

**What problems is Kyvos Semantic Layer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Since we handle a lot of sensitive customer data, we were wary of unauthorized data exposure while training AI agents. Kyvos has helped us ensure compliance with policies and regulations.

 ### 47. Kyvos keeps governance simple and consistent across tools

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** nishi j. | Director of Engineering, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 10, 2025

**What do you like best about Kyvos Semantic Layer?**

I like how flexible the role-based access controls are. Permissions can be applied once at the semantic layer and they automatically flow down to every connected BI tool. That saves us from duplicating effort or worrying about accidental data exposure.

**What do you dislike about Kyvos Semantic Layer?**

So far, I have no complaints. The setup and onboarding process went smoothly, and any questions we had were promptly addressed by the support team.

**What problems is Kyvos Semantic Layer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We spent too much time validating reports and making sure people weren’t using outdated metrics. Kyvos centralized our business logic which has reduced manual oversight and given us more confidence during audits and compliance reviews.

 ### 48. We see every KPI clearly

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rutali Joshi S. | Associate Technical Architect, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**What do you dislike about Kyvos Semantic Layer?**

Honestly, I haven’t run into any issues that have slowed us down. The platform works well and the support team has always been responsive and helpful whenever we had questions or needed tweaks.

**What problems is Kyvos Semantic Layer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We used to juggle multiple versions of financial reports and teams often spent time validating numbers. With Kyvos, we only have to define our metrics once and use them everywhere, so reporting is faster, more accurate and a lot less stressful.
