The most important thing about Kubuntu is that it's lightweight and easy to use, just like the windows operating system. And also its supports all the open-source software right out of the box like LibreOffice, and it also has its proprietary email service called the Kmail. Since it's designed in the KDE environment, it's much faster than Ubuntu. Best for developing cross-compiled applications and firmware for most of the prototyping boards like Raspberry Pi and STM32. There is not much to dislike from Kubuntu. There is very few lightweight OS in the market that solve the purpose. Some of my projects require Embedded Systems development, and there are few OS explicitly designed for that, and I must say Kubuntu also meets some of those requirements.
