Unlike Windows, Kubuntu can do many tasks which are very useful for programmers and also it can take commands which are not there in Windows. Many important software-related mechanical and aerospace can work very good in Kubuntu. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There are very less desktops which have this as an alternative to Windows. And we have to download this from the website. Also, sometimes it doesn't respond to some common because of slow programming. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The best thing about this Kubuntu is that it is an Ubuntu-based operating system and is faster than any other Linux operating system. The light weight helps make it faster. The GUI of Kubuntu is easy to understand. And another best thing is that its open-source operating system anyone who knows the modification of ubuntu can customize it.

Kubuntu (LTS) is my chosen Linux distro for heavy, productivity use. It's official and maintained by Ubuntu developers. The best thing about this is faster than usual Ubuntu because of the difference in GUI. The "K" stands for Plasma KDE, the GUI used. It is lightweight and highly customizable than Ubuntu's GNOME. Kubuntu can be a perfect choice for those who want to use Ubuntu but with a different user interface type. This distribution provides a good KDE experience with the solid core of Ubuntu at the center of the system. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The customization of KDE is little bit difficult for those who come from other GUI's. The highly customizing options can take time to get familiar with. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Kubuntu offers functional desktop environment which is up to very stable date. It is easy to install as well, it also helps in not to have dependency problems as well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Sometimes it causes sudden and randomly shutting down and also it refuses to reboot the system, which builds a barrier for the system to be up to date. sometimes icons also disappear. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

In my experience of using Kubuntu, it was not very stable with my laptop, widgets from the community crashed too many times and I had issues with bluetooth connectivity. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Kubuntu has many flagship features, and the best part is it's all for free. The OS is massively customizable, giving you the ability to blend it per your needs. The installation is smooth and consistent.
Performance is great. The CPU usage is lean, which means more resources available to do the heavy lifting for other valuable applications.
It doesn’t require additional training. It's the same as Ubuntu, and any users from Linux and Mac can easily switch without any issues. It's the best open-source with the highest level of security compared to other Linux Distros. Speed and UI/UX are next level and make the user experience unique.
When training end-users on this software, many of their knowledge from Windows is transferable to Kubuntu due to the easy-to-use GUI. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Trackpad driver installations were complex and had some issues. Some problems with WIFI network card models in laptops. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Besides giving you the safety of unix environment, kubuntu gives you and easy and fast interface to use. This is different from regular ubuntu, because of the KDE environment, it puts everything right where it should be, menus are easy to access and you can use it even at work or home, for enterprise or regular user usage, really good. We wish we could see windows or mac compatibility. I mean, it's not that it's bad, but you will always miss everyone doing software for it. This is not a kubuntu itself fault, it's more from the devs side, to the linux platforms. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Kubuntu it's one of my favorites "lightweight" Linux dependencies, working on it you will find many tools that I want to describe here: Kontact it's a mail application where you will find easy integration with Google calendar, RSS Feed, or an intuitive to-do list. Provides a finder where quickly you can have access to all your information stored like your documents or photos. USB flash drives, SD's, or your phone can be connected. Or you can open and read books, documents easily with the document viewer. Surfing on the internet? Yes of course! you got pre-built Mozilla Firefox Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Kubuntu it's only supported for 64-bits architectures. If you got an old computer and you are looking to give them a second chance. Isn't supported. Should be great to have support for 32-bits computers. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
