"Great security awareness product"

What do you like best about KnowBe4 Security Awareness Training?

I like best all the phishing templates available. There are some from KnowBe4 and from the user community. I'm able to automate monthly campaigns using whatever is a current trend. For example, when covid first hit one of the phishing templates was covid related but it was all automated.

What do you dislike about KnowBe4 Security Awareness Training?

The account manager / customer advocate assigned to you can be a little pushy at the start. Their performance must be tied to making sure your setup and using the product. This pushing can be good so you get value from the product as soon as possible, but it was a little much.

What problems is KnowBe4 Security Awareness Training solving and how is that benefiting you?

Our auditors like that we do security awareness training, but more importantly our users are regularly trained on phishing concepts in a controlled environment. There is no harm clicking on the training phishing links!

"Improved Security Awareness"

What do you like best about KnowBe4 Security Awareness Training?

Having used the KnowBe4 system for 5 years, I am impressed by the quality of the training modules available in the system and the sophistication of the simulated phishing emails available. It keeps our users on their toes and helps keep our organization safe against cyber security threats.

What do you dislike about KnowBe4 Security Awareness Training?

There's is nothing I dislike about the KnowBe4 system.

What problems is KnowBe4 Security Awareness Training solving and how is that benefiting you?

Although there is no way to guarantee that our organization will not fall victim to a cyber attack, KnowBe4 has dramatically improved the overall awareness of how everyone is vulnerable to cyber security attacks. KnowBe4 reinforces best practices for identifying phishing emails.

"KnowBe4 - Vicki Holzknecht"

What do you like best about KnowBe4 Security Awareness Training?

I like the interface, I spend the bulk of my time, on the Training, Users, and Reporting Tab. Some of my users enjoy collecting badges. It seems every time I log into the system I receive a refresh button so I'm glad the site is constantly being refreshed with updates. I like the notifications feature for our managers on a campaign. I thought about setting up security roles to allow the managers access to pull their own reports on their divisions, so security roles are very helpful in this aspect. Saves me time from having to pull the report... ;-) The ASAP feature has been helpful, I've used it as a guide during the implementation process and I like how it points to different articles setting things up within the system. I'm glad users are beginning to stop and think and it's thanks to the phishing test and training which I've only done 2 Baseline for our IT Department and for our non-it users and only 1 training campaign. More will be coming out in the Spring for our new hires. I'm a fan of the Scam of the Week and Security Hit and Tips Campaign. The dashboard gives me a birds-eye view of everything. I can't wait to see what our phish-prone % is when another phishing campaign is complete. That should be interesting. I believe our users find their end easy to navigate except after they complete the training they can never figure out how to get back to it to print their certificate. We definitely have customized KnowBe4 with our brand to ensure our users don't delete the messages especially when notifications get set out to our users notifying them of training or how many days they have completed the training. I'm glad the reporting is in CSV because I take out a couple of columns that I don't feel the managers need to see like the Groups I've created.

What do you dislike about KnowBe4 Security Awareness Training?

I wish there was a way you can merge 2 campaigns into one. I had it originally set up for users who completed the SAPA would automatically receive the training materials. Those who did not end up with a new training campaign with the same material setup for them. I may be the only user faced with this particular situation but a merge feature would be nice especially if it's the same training material in both campaigns. It would be helpful if once a campaign has started and you need to edit and add a particular group to that campaign that would be an option as oppose to merging. When I contacted support I wasn't keen on having to create a separate login to view images that support was sending me. That I found annoying. :-). Even though I'm a proponent of Security Roles, I didn't see why under the General Tab the role requires at least Read access under Account Settings. I want to use 2nd Chance so badly but the killer for us was our users had to be using Internet Explorer 11. Most of our users are Chrome or Firefox. SAPA I had some feedback from some of the questions, I know KnowBe4 polls a select group of people for these questions but a feedback box from our users would have been appreciated. As an administrator of the accounts that are within the system, there are based on our Groups in Active Directory and are pulled through the AD Sync. I wish there was a way to download a provisioning report when a batch of users has been added, removed. I know we can go into the provisioning tab and look at groups, users, memberships, but a report would be so nice. I'm sure KnowBe4 is just not for the education industry but as an educational institute we do have users who are Spring Employees and Fall Employees I have found a way to manage by using Smart Criteria I just feel it will get out of hand if Im not to careful.

Recommendations to others considering KnowBe4 Security Awareness Training:

KnowBe4 is a relatively easy platform to use. I reviewed InfoSecIQ and I wasn't really impressed with their platform. Our only hiccup was during the SSO portion because we use QuickLaunch SSO and some of the verbiages on the instructions didn't match our SSO portal. Eventually, we got there. I'm a fan of the security roles feature because it allows me to practice the principle of least privilege. I have coordinator groups setup and those responsible for GLBA, FERPA, and other compliance areas are responsible for their own team and training material making sure their team gets the required training. The diamond platform includes several compliance modules: FERC/NERC/FERPA, FFIEC, GLBA, HIPAA, PCI-DSS, and Sarbanes-Oxley. I plan on utilizing some more of these compliance modules for our end users. Another cool feature is the Phish Alert Button (PAB). I have most of my users reporting "suspicious" emails to me using that feature, however, our Firefox users are not allowed to participate as it's for Outlook, Outlook Web Access, Office 365, GSuite (Chrome Extension), and the Outlook Mobile App (for iOS and Android).

What problems is KnowBe4 Security Awareness Training solving and how is that benefiting you?

Part of my newly created position was to develop Security Awareness Training for our users. I was dreading the training creation because I knew it would take a lot of time for me to develop the material myself. So KnowBe4 ticked that box for us. Users have been giving me feedback on some of the training materials on what they liked and didn't like. The majority of them enjoy Kevin Mitnick's video's that I have added from the Modstore. Our users are taking cybersecurity awareness training pretty seriously, and I'm thankful for that. A user came up and told me recently that I'm teaching them well because now they stop and think before clicking, also their phone was stolen so they knew exactly what to do because of the training. Feedback is essential.

Our employees' infosec awareness is through the roof after two years of using KnowBe4.

The value you get with KnowBe4 is well worth the minimal cost.

What problems is KnowBe4 Security Awareness Training solving and how is that benefiting you?

"Best Investment"

What do you like best about KnowBe4 Security Awareness Training?

The platform is very intuitive and very well designed.

What do you dislike about KnowBe4 Security Awareness Training?

Initial setup was difficult with 600 plus profiles csv files were hard to match the format allowed.

What problems is KnowBe4 Security Awareness Training solving and how is that benefiting you?

We have only two campaigns in and our customers love the training portions. They all comment about what they learned about Phishing and how that would affect our company intellectual properties.

"Making Training Delivery and Reporting Easier"

What do you like best about KnowBe4 Security Awareness Training?

KnowBe4 has provided us with a way to deliver and track cybersecurity training that makes sense for our institution. We've used it for Cybersecurity training, Title IX training, as well as a number of custom training modules that we've created and uploaded (as SCORM packages). We love the user completion tracking and the overall streamlined experience on the admin side as well as the end-user interface.

What do you dislike about KnowBe4 Security Awareness Training?

User management has been a struggle in some ways. We opted NOT to integrate using Active Directory because we don't offer the service to our full user group. The users need to be managed manually, and that has presented a few issues especially working with fewer licenses. This isn't necessarily a reflection of the product - just how we're using it... unfortunately necessary in our case.

Recommendations to others considering KnowBe4 Security Awareness Training:

KnowBe4 has made it very easy to track and report on user interactions with Training modules. In the Higher Education market, we deal with government requirements and auditors that require the institution's employees to have received ongoing training in different areas. KnowBe4 has a vast library of materials, and we really appreciate the ability to upload content that we created (via SCORM package). Also, their policy approval model is very helpful. In addition, the Phishing tests have lowered our overall response tendencies exponentially.

What problems is KnowBe4 Security Awareness Training solving and how is that benefiting you?

Delivery of Cybersecurity, HR, Campus Safety training delivery and tracking. We greatly appreciate the reporting/tracking for peace of mind when dealing with auditors.

"Exceeding Expectations"

What do you like best about KnowBe4 Security Awareness Training?

While the platform and included content is spot on; it's the staff and people that make KnowBe4 a premier product and partnership.

The account managers actively listen and provide the answers needed (some to questions you didn't think to ask) to make the proper purchasing decision.

Support, now I get to call out Hunter: awesome experience working with Hunter, to cut through what probably would have taken a day or two to figure out through the knowledge center, to get a baseline autopilot program in place. That alone will eliminate hours of my ISO communicating, tracking and chasing people to complete awareness training. With the deployment in its infancy, we already can calculate an ROI just related in man-hours.

What do you dislike about KnowBe4 Security Awareness Training?

We haven't encountered a dislike related to the KnowBe4 platform and staff.

Recommendations to others considering KnowBe4 Security Awareness Training:

An individual looking at KnowBe4 has a basic understanding of what is driving them to the product. A good tact is to ask the KnowBe4 account manager:

- What are the best practices?

- How are your (insert industry here) clients leveraging the platform?

- What have I not asked that most of your clients ask?

What problems is KnowBe4 Security Awareness Training solving and how is that benefiting you?

-Security Awareness to include phishing campaigns.

-Timely onboarding of personnel.

- Role based training.

"Outstanding testing and training solution with great support"

What do you like best about KnowBe4 Security Awareness Training?

KnowBe4 has a wide range of training material in many different formats. While we originally got it for cybersecurity and Phishing recognition training, we've also used it in other areas such as HR training in Sexual Harassment and FERPA compliance. It's an easy-to-use interface that is also very flexible. Customer support is top-notch.

What do you dislike about KnowBe4 Security Awareness Training?

The only down-side I've come across is not being able to build a multi-part training series with one setup. A new setup is required for each installment.

What problems is KnowBe4 Security Awareness Training solving and how is that benefiting you?

We are working to increase awareness in cybersecurity, and general knowledge of computer safety. We have seen a significant drop in bad computing practices such as following click-bait and physical device security.
