Our marketing team uses both products to send emails, so having code that works on both makes it so much easier for our team. Also, the customer service is fantastic. It's quick and friendly, which I feel is absent from their competitors. **What do you dislike about Knak?** I wish there were more free landing page templates, but other than that I have no issues with it. **What problems is Knak solving and how is that benefiting you?** Being able to create effective emails without having to worry about having to do all the coding of them on my own. I am not a web developer, so having a tool that is doing HTML and CSS coding for me makes it stress-free to get emails created and sent. ### 2. No constant refreshing like on the marketo out of the box email/landing pages. The modules are incredibly flexible and the functionality is very intuitive and easy to learn. The automatic appending of UTM parameters to each link within the email saves so much time and there is a lot of customization for your emails. **What do you dislike about Knak?** Not a fan of the complete change to the interface they did back in December 2021. The search functionality is really hard to use now, but they are working diligently to take client feedback and rollout changes that we are requesting back. **Recommendations to others considering Knak:** The price of expanding your tool set outside of the out of the box offerings of Marketo's email tools is sooo worth the time saved and ease of use. **What problems is Knak solving and how is that benefiting you?** Fast, flexible and effecient email generation for a fast paced company with multiple businesses having to send multiple communications to various types of clients per day. Cloning is a huge benefit for weekly/monthly communications as well as emails that are exactly the same with minor tweaks and need to be generated quickly. ### 3. With their recent growth into landing pages, I wouldn't choose a different platform for the one-stop-shop for design creation. If there is something I can't figure out, they are ALWAYS available to help. They own their mistakes or system drawbacks and add improvements to the roadmap based on issues and customer feedback. They are just an intelligent, friendly, hardworking group to partner with. **What do you dislike about Knak?** The only tough thing is sometimes we have syncing issues, but as mentioned above, the team is always on standby to help investigate. We have since designed full email campaigns in a matter of days and are building our modules to make our work even faster. **What do you dislike about Knak?** There's not much to dislike really but the studio needs folders as it's messy right now. Now, with knak, we can quickly generate designed emails on our own that used to take weeks to get done and needed input from an external coder and the design team. I don't think it makes a ton of sense that Knak is now structured like Marketo with campaigns that live/exist within particular folders. **Recommendations to others considering Knak:** I would recommend that everybody in the marketing operations, infastructure and/or automation space should try using Knak to see how that might make their lives a little bit easier. It's that easy and straightforward to use as well as test/preview. Syncs easily with Marketo for those that deploy marketing email through Marketo. The WYSIWYG editor and UI are simple and provide lots of out-of-the-box functionality and template design options. I like how you can build the email for mobile by hiding or showing sections or elements of an email from desktop/mobile in order to optimize the emails visually for both experiences. No coding knowledge is required! If you use the same email format often, it is easy to create a template from it for others to use and categorize it by brand, website, email type, etc. The new landing page builder I have tested and is just as intuitive and user-friendly as the email builder. I also have found the Knak team to be very responsive and helpful when providing assistance and implementing enhancements. **What do you dislike about Knak?** Only issue I have run into is implementing third party email tracking via Google DoubleClick. The macros in click tracker URLs can break the email, however Knak already has a solution coming and should be in place soon. Otherwise you juust have to remove GDPR macros from the URL. Also, having limited number of users can be a pain, but of course you can just purchase more if you require them. **Recommendations to others considering Knak:** Make sure that Knak is compatible with your email deployment/CRM platforms. We use Knak for email composing and design, then sync with Marketo for deployment. **What problems is Knak solving and how is that benefiting you?** From an enterprise level we were using Marketo for all email development and deployments. It is far from user friendly and takes quite a lot of effort to train users on the nuiances of the platform as well as prevent mistakes from being made and deployed to our audiences. Any changes to an email template required coding and QA. With Knak all those issues and headaches went away by allowing users to quickly and easily construct an email design from scratch with no coding and have it synced within Marketo within a matter of minutes.
