Having multiple GMail accounts in one place is great. Kiwi's approach is a good idea, and a simple way to enable working in multiple GMail accounts. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I paid for a year of Kiwi after having been a user for years under their old plan. I was OK with doing so beccause they explained that their operating costs were not being met with the "lifetime" fee they had oroginally charged.
Here's the problem - I am forced to repeatedly log into each GMail account what seems like every week. I reached out to support, and they asked me what version of Mac OS and Kiwi I was using, then never got back to me. I waited weeks and re-contacted them, only to be further ignored.
I had used another email client on another machine, and it NEVER asks me to log in after the initial login. So why the difference? Is there a problem with Kiwi's security, or the way they access GMail? I guess I will never know, because their support team will not respond to my entreaties for help. Almost the exact same experience as Gmail in Chrome but with a dedicated desktop app Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Can't always do everything in the app you can do with Gmail in Chrome, such as plugins. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

As someone who has 7 different email accounts, Kiwi makes managing these accounts so much easier. Download the product and go. It's as simple as logging in to each account and magically it is there. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There are no downsides. The biggest limitation is you can only do 9 accounts but I heard they are removing that cap in 2024! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I am someone who relies greatly on GMail Labels - which are really only available if you're using the GMail website. But, I have multiple GMails and logging in and out all day is just not something I want to waste my life doing. Kiwi is a great solution to that problem! Love that I can keep it in my Dock and switch between the accounts as needed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Nothing! Hoping that Version 4.0 includes a cleaner interface for Macs and more extension support! Would love if they could support the Simplify extension, as that makes GMail so much easier to read. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I like how Kiwi collects all of my different Google workspaces into separate groups. It's fast, easy to set up, and I like how it pops things out into separate windows, which helps when managing someone else's calendar and my own. It's also not a resource hog. I was previously using Shift, and I liked how the icons for each of your accounts were arranged on the left side of the window. With Kiwi it's not as obvious to see which of your accounts has new mail or other notifications, though the icon in the menu bar is helpful. The UI is a little cluttered but I've gotten used to it. Calling it Kiwi "for Gmail" so underplays what this service can do. I don't even call it an app because it functions like a suite of apps, providing an organized HQ for all the Google services I use. So multiple Gmail accounts, sure, but also calendar, Docs, and spreadsheets, all of which I can access in my Google Drive via Kiwi. Seriously, how has Google not bought Kiwi for a zillion dollars yet? Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I'll update this review when I find something I don't like about Kiwi, but it's indispensable to my personal workflow. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
They jumped into the subscription bandwagon and completely ruined a great product. It used to be AWESOME--but when you ask to pay a monthly subscription for those who purchased it to begin with, you're no longer a great company. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I paid for the software--that doesn't matter--I'm screwed now. I must update and use their subscription. NOPE. Now telling people NOT to use it. And they screw you over by disabling the compose button. Not fair nor worth using them again. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Honestly, I don't need most of the features that make Kiwi powerful - multiple accounts, etc - but I love how reliable it's been as a client for Gmail. It's not as resource intensive as a lot of web app wrappers, and the integration with chrome extensions, calendar, etc is great. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There are a few little "features" I wish were optional. I'd rather all links opened in the browser, specifically Google docs, rather in new Kiwi windows. I wish there was support for more Chrome Extensions. But these little things only catch my attention very occasionally. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I like the user interface and the fact that I can have multiple accounts available from the same app just by clicking on different tabs. The added bonus is the easy access to all the Google apps while still in Kiwi. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
My two dislikes is that once in a while it slows down a lot. It has not happened recently, but in the past I had to uninstall and reinstall. Hopefully that problem is eliminated now. It is also not super clear how to use offline, it should be made clearer and simpler. Nothing bad enough that I would not highly recommend Kiwi. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The single best reason to use Kiwi is there is little to no barrier to entry from having to learn anything. Having worked with Gmail is the only prerequisite. I have tried other apps for Gmail and GSuite before Kiwi and, after nearly three years of consistent business and personal use, I can't find any reason to ever consider changing. I have asked the publisher for this, but I would like to see one INBOX with all accounts merged, as an option. When I am looking for something specific (without knowing which account it was in) or when I just want to see what has arrived, risen or needs my attention from everywhere, that would be used often.
I LIKE the way Kiwi works right now. I feel I am in control of email working with my accounts and Kiwi. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
