**What do you like best about Kickserv?**

Simple interface, fits basic needs of a tree service company

**What do you dislike about Kickserv?**

It was not super flexible or customizable to our workflow.  We had to use an external contract signature provider to receive more legally binding signatures and agreements from clients.  Sync had many issues between Xero and Kickserv - created duplicates and support could never explain why or help us fix the issue

**Recommendations to others considering Kickserv:**

The sync with QuickBooks works better than Xero - reconsider if you use Xero for accounting.  Have a check-in place for cost code assignment.  Team in the field may miss this, and there are no requirements to force them to use it correctly.  Could cause issues on revenue stream recognition if not reviewed regularly for errors

**What problems is Kickserv solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We were trying to allow our sales team to enter their estimates and send them from the field.  It was beneficial to fill that gap.  Before the estimates were sent into the office to draft, and send out for the sales team

**What do you like best about Kickserv?**

Kickserv is a great for being able to see all of the tasks assigned to staff and check the status of the tasks. Instead of asking employees if they have completed their job I can see if they have marked the job complete or uploaded job completion photos to the attachments. Being able to store job photos is also great we can easily send homeowners progress and completion photos when their are out of town.

**What do you dislike about Kickserv?**

Sometimes when you enter an address to a customer account the street number removes itself automatically. This can cause problems for our staff but is a rare occurrence. The reports section can take some tinkering to get the results you are looking for.

**What problems is Kickserv solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Scheduling and accountability are a breeze with kickserv it is so easy to see at a glance who is doing what and when they are doing it. Being able to assign different jobs types different colors and being able to quickly make changes in resource view is very helpful. Kickserv also makes it really easy to plan a service route when multiple stops in a day are required for a tech.

**What do you like best about Kickserv?**

The fact that it brings together in one place a wide variety of functions that help me improve a large number of processes within my company is wonderful for me, since it constitutes a fairly complete and comprehensive solution in terms of billing, management of clients, customer service and many other things, the ease of use is something really admirable, not to mention the fact that its interface is quite simple and elegant at the same time with a fairly intuitive design that facilitates its use at all times , the reporting options it has are quite complete and detailed, and they have been a great help to simplify decision-making within the company, customer service is at another level, since they respond to everything, regardless how big or small the problem is in a short period of time.

**What do you dislike about Kickserv?**

Since we have been using this software in my company, all processes have been simplified and streamlined in a very positive way, which has increased the overall efficiency of the staff, since thanks to Kickserv they can perform any task in a quite positive way. fast, I have been using it for a little over 5 years and I have not gotten anything to complain about.

In my company, performing any task, no matter how simple it was, could become quite a cumbersome task because we did everything manually, however after discovering Kickserv and migrating all the billing and customer service processes we have had a great respite, because it allowed us not only to automate and digitize a large amount of information, but also led to the improvement and optimization of a large number of previously very complex tasks and processes, activities such as payroll What used to be a very complex task today can be done in just a few minutes, and all thanks to Kickserv! In short, I recommend this application to improve and raise your company to the next level.

The system is clear cut and straightforward enough on the surface, but underneath, there are a ton of helpful tools that make everything I've needed to do so far very simple. I didn't have to waste time learning a bunch of stuff - I was able to just jump in and go!

So far, I see no downsides. Any extra features that I'll need in the future look to be covered in other plans within their service.

I like the billing process, I also make the administrative process easier with the use of the Kickserv software, it helps me to manage my tasks in a faster and more efficient way, it also brings a function to remind me of my work every 24 hours, I can Better schedule my activities and I also receive the notification on my mobile. I like the program interface and its fluidity of service

I think the mobile application should improve a bit, sometimes it is slow and it is difficult to manage the tasks. However, this is not a big problem. Despite this, I have no complaints with this software, it has solved big problems of my company

My company likes Kickserv because through his arrival at it, he has seen how the personnel change in carrying out their tasks, whereas before everything was a disaster and lack of organization and thanks to this software a great deal of work has been done work getting positive achievements, also the online payment system works excellently well, which is why it is defined as an indispensable tool and too useful when it comes to solving a work problem

It is a CRM that stands out for its efficiency, it is very easy to use, it has helped me to attract clients and keep them with time, being able to do a constant follow-up. It also has a free version of 14 days that helps you to develop better with the product. I really like your calendar option since it allows you to keep control of everything with just a glance

The speed offered by the mobile version is deficient as is the support that is very irregular and tedious. Also the possibility of customizing reports is very scarce. The updates they provide may be inefficient on some occasions

This CRM meets most of the requirements, is useful and responsive in terms of customer service. Although it needs to improve some things is still a good choice because it is very efficient, easy to learn and above all very simple to use

The monitoring of customer billing is no longer a problem because with Kickserv I have developed well in this area, in turn it helps me to keep the emails and files organized. The calendar is one of my favorite functions since it keeps me up to date on all the weekly activities, although it would be much better if you could add photos and attachments to the messages

This software is very easy to use and very well fulfills the expectations of our company, the best thing is that it has several customization options, which makes the work much more concrete because they are always adding new features, the software is indispensable. With Kickserv I can keep a constant and organized follow-up of the most fundamental thing regarding my prospects and my clients, besides they have a free trial of 14 days that makes them very competitive unlike other similar software

The desktop version is easier, in the mobile it is very cumbersome to operate and a bit slow, you could also add other functions to the Software to improve its speed, there are problems in terms of synchronization with QuickBooks

With kickserv I have been able to solve problems with just sending an email, the support is the most efficient and dedicated I know, I have not had any problem in terms of tracking customers and records, working 24 hours a day and 7 days of the week, I have avoided headaches

The updates offered tend to be inefficient, in terms of equipment speed mobile phones and tablets can be very slow compared to the desktop version. The support offers the requested support much later

The best thing about this software is that it is very easy to use, our company was able to adapt quickly, the best part of that is that thanks to Kickserv we carry out all our registration in the company, having a better control in our information and that of our clientele, thanks to its different billing options that we find a lot, we can offer a better service as a company

We have tested the tool in a mobile device and it is not as efficient as using it in a PC, it does not provide the same capacity, it would be extraordinary to be able to use it in a mobile phone, because it would save us much more time for our company and our customers, it is the only negative point we can give about such software

Despite the negative aspects of the software our company decides to recommend it, once you learn to use the software perfectly you could get much more profit than you want, also our company considers their prices, since they are quite cheap

It helps to attract customers and keep them connected. To send letters to both managers and customers if it concerns advertising. There are profiles with addresses and you can have an idea about your customers.

Sometimes there are questions about the features and there is no necessary article at hand. What I found did not help me and I had to figure it out myself. I did not contact those support and did it myself. And I would like to immediately find the right article that would solve my question.

Can customize, meets requirements, great tool for scheduling and dispatching. Tool can be understandable. It has many features, has user access. Can easily communicate to the tech engineers

Sometimes its a challenge for the field engineers to check few descriptions mentioned..for eg, the charges, address, scheduling details.  Scheduling becoms difficult for more engineers when it comes to alerts, the days jobs for 1 or more engineers.

I think it is a good software for small business. It is easy to use and you can manage a small team of workers and plan their jobs during the months in a very easy and intuitive way. I like that you can add the GPS coordinates for the workers to know where they have to go just by clicking the link. 

**What do you dislike about Kickserv?**

Their server sometimes gets overloads and then it became unresponsive. But for the others I like it very much. But because of this we are not using this program anymore.

As I have seen I think it would work for small businness although sometimes it became unresponsive because of overloads on its webpage and that makes some of its features ineffective

I like best that kickserv tracks work progress and who did what to make our rewarding process better for our employees

I don't like the fact that kickserv doesn't integrate with all of our services yet, but we're working on that

I liked how easy it was to use this program. Their web site when used on a desktop computer is great for scheduling and dispatching. 

**What do you dislike about Kickserv?**

We are really only able to use part of the service. While it is excellent for scheduling, it is not useful for invoicing unless your invoicing needs are very basic. The product is not compatible with Quick Books groups.

When we evaluated Kickserv, the onboarding process seemed pretty simple.  Our data imported easily and quickly.

I think Kickserv would have done great at client contact details, but not the project side of things.  After giving it a legitimate try for a while, we determined that it wasn't a good fit for us.

The support available and the convenience of merging duplicate contacts and doing invoicing there under customer profiles to then sync with QuickBooks. The scheduling feature was also amazing and I likes that you can restrict certain users privileges.

The app wasn't as user friendly and field techs had issues using it for uploading pictures and notes. Also there were sometimes issues with syncing to QuickBooks.

Missing only a few convenient features such as external website integration difficulty with client account login due to caps locks for emails, etc. Emails must be 100% exact as input in the account. The mobile app is a bit slow and cumbersome with no Teresa for work orders, and the account pane is limited. I still have to go into my web browser to do all the things the mobile app doesn't. The customer's full information does not display in the work order, only the address and time it's scheduled for. Scheduling could be better; as of now, it is a set time start and end. I typically do not have specific times for a lot of devices; it rarely requires a set time, just a set day. It would be nice to have a CA scheduling option for any time rather than a set time or morning, evening, afternoon options to make the time. And which service will be performed, a broader, more general indication. Also, the way records are kept could be a little more customized.

Kickserv is very user friendly. The process for creating customers, estimates and invoices is a breeze. Scheduling jobs (and many other calendar events like employee time off) is a great feature. I love the estimate approval process. The QuickBooks integration is key for us. Overall, I don't know what we'd do if Kickserv disappeared tomorrow. 

**What do you dislike about Kickserv?**

No iOS app! (I thought there was one when I signed up) and the mobile site is not near as simple as the desktop version. 

Can't display the "charge type" on estimates or invoices. For our purposes, it would be very beneficial to show whether the rate is per pound or each.

Take advantage of the trial period. Use it to run through different scenarios and make sure it meets your needs. Many things work differently than I thought they would prior to fully-implementing (not necessarily for the bad...just saying).

**What do you like best about Kickserv?**

Kickserv is an inexpensive, cloud-based field service management solution that gives you a broad amount of control and customizeability for your business. As others have mentioned they do have an API that allows us to integrate it into our other software solutions, and their sync with Quickbooks has been a tremendous help. Customer service is very quick and personable.

One thing I have loved about Kickserv is the ability to look at the day and week at a glance by technician and assign and change jobs right there. Easily my favorite thing about the software that is much better than other packages we have looked at in the past.

**What do you dislike about Kickserv?**

Kickserv's API is outdated, and it is difficult to pull information off of. You're limited to 30 records at a time, you can't download the whole thing at once, and you're on your own to figure it out. Critical information from our jobs such as task duration is very tedious to pull out, and requires going outside of the API to the web-based service using web scraping tools, when it could be easily changed to accommodate quick task ID lookup.

Various workflows are sometimes clunky - I have to go through several different pages just to input all the information for my jobs. For instance, I can input basic customer and job information from the pop-up within the calendar views, but if I want to add job charges, time-tracking, info in custom fields, etc. I have to first create the event, then click on it, then click again to go into the job view.

Mobile support is spotty; we usually don't recommend that our techs install the apps because they seem to raise more questions than not. My biggest pet peeve is that they insist on forcing landscape mode based on window size, when I would prefer to choose the orientation myself. If I want landscape mode, I could just turn my device, right?

Reports were recently inplemented, and while they are powerful, I wish I could access them with the API. They are also sometimes difficult to put together and understand, so some more explanation would be good. Part of this problem comes from the vague naming scheme in the API.

**Recommendations to others considering Kickserv:**

How important is it to you to see your field techs in real time and understand what is going on in the field at the moment? If it's critical to see your team's current progress, I would highly recommend it.

As outdated as the API is, and as much as I nitpicked it above, it's still workable and it allows us to create our own in-house BI solution that has changed the way we look at our data and business model. As much work as this has been, this has been a game-changer for us, and I would only consider other software if it had an API that was better for a similar price-point.

Our techs have been very happy with the upgrade; they used to not have any idea what their schedule was until the day before; this has helped them plan much better.

You can see your business online with Kickserv pretty well, and the price-point is acceptable. Coupled with the somewhat clunky API, I think I would still recommend Kickserv over other solutions, because practically it is better than anything else I've found.

Kickserv's platform is user friendly and easy to learn. The drag and drop calendar features allows dispatchers/administration to manage jobs throughout the day. Assigning technicians and communication information on the go to our technicians is easy. We use the one click function to notify techs of jobs. We can add internal notes, notes  to be shared with customers, add charges, attach documents, and more live within jobs.

Our technicians our updated of relevant information by being able to access jobs assigned to them through the app. They manage many aspects of the job through the app from navigating to the site, adding time entries, charges, adding parts, adding work notes, obtaining customer signatures and more.

It syncs with quickbooks allowing estimates and invoices to be accounted for easily in our accounting system.

We use the time tracking functions to pull employee hours for payroll so you can see how many hours each tech spent on each job site.

There are "tags" you can create to classify job statuses or create specialized reports. 

It acts as a customer database and has many tools for communicating instantly with customers.

The platform is online and live making every change in real time and giving more people access to accurate information constantly.

The kickserv help staff is available from the chat function inside the platform to answer questions, trouble shoot, and even listen to input on special features you would like to see.

Our overall experience with Kickserv has been very positive and we love the service for our business.

**What do you dislike about Kickserv?**

The Quickbooks sync function could be better, the system created additional invoices with their own identifiable number in addition to the synced quickbooks invoice number that doesn't translate. So if you use the Quickbooks function it's impossible as far as we can tell that you use kickserv for sales numbers. It also makes the customer portal function weird because it shows multiple payment transactions. There is no function in the customer portal to search for things by date or job number, it just shows as one big list. We currently don't give customers access to the customer portal because we can't figure out how to make it cleaner.

If using with Quickbooks immediately sync from the beginning and always create invoices and estimates from kickserv and then sync to QB.

Managing techs in real time is a huge plus for us. Also giving everyone live information is extremely relevant to our fast paced industry. It's ease of use saves us time on training. The security functions make it easy to set up levels of access to information making sure sensitive information is secure.

Quickbooks syncing was a must when looking around for a software. Originally we were looking for something to help manage our scheduling. We liked Kickserv's solution for scheduling because it was a visual drag-and-drop approach that enabled our employees to also view the client address and job information. Additionally the invoices and proposals were better looking than Quickbooks and we were able to see if the customer viewed the documents. The sales pipeline tool (Estimate Sent -> Estimate viewed -> Estimate awarded -> Job unscheduled -> Job scheduled -> Job completed) is a really great visual to help manage the pipeline of work.

**What do you dislike about Kickserv?**

The scheduling is cumbersome in some ways: could not quickly set it up. It seems fast at first but after you do a couple, you realize it isn't that quick. TSheets scheduling is much better at this.
Proposals are not "solidified" after a customer signature which poses an issue. A client can sign a contract, but that does not stop you from being able to alter that contract (accidentally or otherwise) which makes the signature area useless. IMO once a contract is signed, it can not be altered, only amended with change orders.
You can not create a customer in KickServ and have it sync back to Quickbooks. This makes it difficult because you have to constantly work in two systems for the single task of creating a proposal.

**Recommendations to others considering Kickserv:**

Kickserv is going to improve, but one thing I fear will not go away is the inability to create customer profiles inside KS that will sync to Quickbooks. I look forward to hearing that they have solved that problem and perhaps joined forces with TSheets to take advantage of their scheduling and time tracking software, for which they have an amazing produc

Business problems needed to be solved: scheduling employees, distribution of job information to employees, managing our pipelin, mobilizing ability to create and send proposals/invoices. We have stopped using KS (only have it now until current contracts created on it have been completed) because we realized that TSheets combined with Desktop Version of QB on a laptop was a sufficient answer to our problems. The only benefit I have not replaced with something better is the pipeline management features of KS.

The best customer service/support I've encountered. Always looking to improve their software and adding features as customers give feedback. Downtime is almost non-existent, so very reliable. Helps our plumbing business run smoothly and effectively.

Quickbooks Online sync has some minor problems, but only with the contact names repeating themselves on the invoices. Not a huge issue and I think they are working on it. Would also like to see realtime gps for techs, but they are actually adding that shortly.

I think customer service and support is so important when using software that runs your company day to day. Kickserv is so accessible and responds immediately to your questions/concerns. I like that the user interface of the software is really easy to use. Everything seems like it is in a place where it would make sense. I really like the way that things are organized that seem to make sense. It also is helpful to have the icons down the side when using on a mobile device.

I wish they would complete the app to use with this program. We use this system on the road and the mobile site is not very user friendly when on your phone. The site also seems to have intermittent problems. It seems that these are happening more than necessary especially during business hours.

At first, the program seems overwhelming, but as you go through a typical sales cycle, it becomes clear that the kickserv guys (and gals) have really done their homework.  As a service based business, I find the scheduling and dispatching easy to use as well as the user-friendly interface.  So what do I like the BEST?  It's  the easy to use, easy to follow "flow" of information needed from start to finish in a sales cycle.

Lack of search fields and reports.  I'd like to be able to search more fields and create more reports.

There are MANY other companies out there offering similar products for a lot more money.  They may have some different "bells and whistles" but are mainly providing the same type of product.  The guys (and gals) at kickserv are always available if you ever encounter an issue.  I REALLY mean that.  It almost feels as if they are there with a touch of a button and quick snap chat.  They are always finding ways to improve the system.  I have using the system for over 4 years now and have never been disappointed.

Solving business scheduling and dispatching issues.  Also helped in monitoring paid and unpaid jobs.  I've made more income by being reminded to call back customers I serviced last year. The reports functions often gives us duplicates and is hard to really dig deep if you are looking for insights on your sales data or revenue data.

I like the continued communication from the customer to our company without missing a beat. Being the owner of a small company (1), I am able to keep myself very organized by inputting my customer information in the database, then schedule an appointment for estimate or service. Getting emails is essential in making the program work for you in many ways. Once I make the appointment in my schedule, the program has the ability to notify the customer 24 hrs before the scheduled appointment. I get my appoint schedule each morning by 6 am and an hr before each appointment I get an alert on my phone as a reminder. Each employee you add in the system will receive their schedules each morning and an hr before each appointment.  

**What do you dislike about Kickserv?**

There is not much to dislike about kickserv other than having to input your customers information. Finding a way to get your customer's email address was tricky as many do not like giving out that information. I only wished that the program would allow, at the end of the day let's say 6 pm, any new appointments scheduled would email the customers automatically the appointment time and date that were inputted that day. I have to go outside the program to send that email out.

I am getting ready to purchase another company and will be using kickserv as my management software there as well. Once you start using the software, you will be glad you did.

 I found an easy way to get all the contact info I need, by simply installing a work request button on my website. Referring your customer to go to the website and fill out the work request form ask for all the information I need to make this management software program really work well for me. I use the software program exclusively and it keeps me so organized that I do not miss a beat. I am the receptionist, the estimator, the technician and the installer. I do have an outside bookkeeper listed as an administrator so he can do my bookkeeping with quickbooks.

I love how accessible an easy to use kickserv is. We have technicians out in the field and they can pull up the app on their phone or ipad and enter the information on the job site. Also it is great in the office that when they change or add something we can see it right away, and we can also update information for the job and then they will know of the changes. It has been a great tool in the business and has helped us stay more up to date on all of our jobs, keeping everyone on the same page, and giving us a better look at how we are doing as a business. It keeps all of the information that we need and once it is entered it is there and we don't have to re-enter a contact or part # every time we need it. It is there and ready to be added to the job.

Sometimes the site has a few issues but even then they let us know when there is a problem and are swift to get it taken care of.
This is more a a personal preference for our business, but there isn't a way to add your own templates and then go in and edit them in kickserv. You have to use the templates they have which in my opinion aren't the most professional looking.
Technicians have said the app is kind of hard to use. So they usually just pull it up in the browser on their ipads.

**Recommendations to others considering Kickserv:**

Obviously every business is different, but if you have a business that people are away from the office then it is a great way to keep in touch with them and remind them of jobs or appointments.

**What problems is Kickserv solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are solving some organization issue. In the past we have had trouble with loosing paperwork or not getting it turned in, but with kickserv they can enter the info on the go and we have it instantly. No more trying to find the misplaced sheets of paper.

The ability for techs to see their schedule in real time

Sometimes when I click on a job to edit it from the calendar it moves to a different time slot.

Kickserv works great for tech who are constantly on the go because they can log on with the app to update jobs, complete them and put them on hold if an issue arises.  Very easy software to use.

**What problems is Kickserv solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I'm solving the problem of poor time management.  I've realized that I can schedule more customers when mapped an scheduled efficiently.  This software helps me do that.
