Top Rated Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) Alternatives
I am a product lead at a software company unrelated to healthcare but we use Key Opinion Leaders to identify areas (cities, states) with high activity in certain areas or business verticals and then use that intel to do market research on upcoming events related to those verticals in specific cities. We use this as input to design our marketing efforts and budget allocations. So far our effectiveness seems to have improved by a lot and are getting a lot of leads that are converting at a higher rate. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

5 out of 6 Total Reviews for Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs)
As a researcher, I really like to be able to find opinion leaders and influencers with a good reputation in niche topics and scientific concepts. The filters are useful to narrow down the search geographically and by organization or by affiliations. The insights and the related concepts features are awesome for finding thought leaders in closely related areas with ease. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
nothing really, this tool reduces our turnaround times and workload by a lot, so we are really happy with it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
For context: I am a researcher working at one of the leading cancer research centers in the US. My area of research is relatively new (gene therapy, CAR-T, etc.), and it is often difficult to know which researcher knows about what, especially if the colleagues in question live in a different country. The only way to have that kind of visibility on "who is who" would be to read all the research papers that come out, which would be more than a full-time job.
With this platform (key opinion leader), I can do a couple of things: 1) I can look up colleagues by name and see what level of recognition (numerically) they have for specific concepts (KOL score, they call it), and 2) I can look up concepts (therapies, techniques, devices, medical conditions) and see who are the top leading experts (they call them KOLs or KOL in the platform) for that specific concept.
I can then filter by organization and find the thought leaders/doctors/researchers that would be easy for me to reach.
I can apply filters to filter down the list of key opinion leader until I get to the exact list of KOLs I need.
I haven't seen any other tool that lets me do that. I love that it is free, so I didn't have to ask the department to purchase anything, which I imagine would have been a long process.
Everyone in our research department uses this tool instead of the traditional research publications repositories as it aggregates data and scores at the "people level" (KOL scores) instead of just citations for papers authored (as pubmed, etc.). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
nothing I can think of really, the tool is accurate and free Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
