We like the fact that Kentico CMS is a complete Content Management System for business users and developers with regular releases (minor and major release cadence). Their data-driven approach for page content is powerful for a consistent look and feel and making it easier for non-technical users to quickly create content.
For power users (but non-developers), they offer K# scripting (interpreted language, similar to C#) to manage content automation. They have marketing tools to provide great detail outside of the free Google Analytics.
For those that need it, it offers modular development on the Microsoft .NET platform (that doesn't require all the source code and is easy to upgrade/patch) and complete source code option (of the engine). Our organization has the choice of working with a Kentico partner or directly with Kentico, which includes support, consulting, and onboarding. This allowed us to be operational much quicker than other solutions. Their quick bug elimination policy (we have benefited from this) helps keep the entire process agile and our customer satisfaction high. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Their ad-hoc content management for business users is behind other alternative CMS solutions. For example, users creating content doesn't have a WYSIWYG view. A preview manual approach is used to display how it looks for various devices. Kentico is aware of this limitation based on feedback, so we expect this to be addressed in future releases. XbyK is very flexible and easy to use. Kentico is constantly expanding the featureset and really listens to their partners for feature requests and often will incorporate them into the product roadmap.
