Before upgrading to Keap Max, I used the Pro plan. First, I was amazed and blown away by the skill, kindness, and promptness of the tech support team. If it wasn't for customer support, I wouldn't know how to use Keap. Next, I'm blown away by the Live weekly automation hour webinars. They are everything I've always wanted wrapped into one simple thing. Grady is fantastic, and the training is excellent! Then, the skill of the Keap developers is mind-blowing because they're constantly managing glitches and things that go wrong, as well as adding great new features. And, lastly, I appreciate the check-out feature in Keap Max because I'm gonna use it often, and it's easy to use. P.S.- the reporting features are superb. Tech support is too! I don't particularly like that we can't use emoj's in our weekly email broadcasts, and there isn't a bi-weekly recurring payment option. The bi-weekly recurring payment option would help gain new clients because I could substantially lower their upfront costs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The scheduling app and extra phone number are the most helpful tools of this software for me personally. I think the functionality is smooth and easy to learn. You can keep track of tasks and clients in a clear and concise way with labels. The automatic payments that you can integrate with PayPal are helpful too. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The software is missing a lot of necessary customization and features to make it worth the price tag and ditching other business software. For instance, with the invoicing - it is irritating that invoices can't be customized to 1) look different than the generic layout provided and 2) writing the line items for the invoice is frustrating. As a designer for both graphic and web design, I like to write out descriptions of my hours, and there isn't a memo section on the item lines. It automatically sends invoice emails sometimes without any indication, which can come off as rude to clients without a follow-up email. I also can't even use the feature that tracks my Google reviews because, for whatever reason, my business doesn't show up in their search results. I can tell that in the future, this will be a great tool for me, especially because they are so coherent to feedback. However, right now, it feels a bit underdeveloped.
And most importantly - you will pay the price if you want to get out of this software. Don't be tricked into a year contract like I was. The "credits" they offered me that covered a month or so when I wanted to quit, later showed up in my mailbox from a debt collector. Super irritated with my entire experience with them. I like that automations are simple to set up and take hours off the work load by systematically delivering messages. If agents or clients use the automations that are allowed through the email it can really help take hours off of work per week. This system is more suited for clients so that you can also track revenue, accept payments, and create invoices. The downside of Keap is the number of authorized users that the account can have. I have multiple managers and wish that my Pro version would support more admins.
