"Great IDE with bunch of cool features"

What do you like best about KDevelop?

Great integration with Git and Cmake, code navigation is pretty smooth, almost zero learning curve as the GUI is very user friendly, the split view is pretty decent and integration for Android Host is a nice add-on Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about KDevelop?

The search feature is quite messy and needs a lot of improvement, build integration with Boost and other libraries is tricky and takes a lot of time; pretty average documentation and support forums Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is KDevelop solving and how is that benefiting you?

Development environment for large C++ project. It helps in faster code navigation and debugging. Running it with multiple compiler options is helping in faster build generation. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about KDevelop?

"Perfect IDE for C++ coding in Linux environment"

What do you like best about KDevelop?

"A debugger with Simple GUI"

What do you like best about KDevelop?

Kdevelop is my debugger whan I ger into software development in Linux environment still I use kdevelop for linux development. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about KDevelop?

Kdevelop setup was very difficult in windows compared with others. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is KDevelop solving and how is that benefiting you?

Mostly I use kdevelop for C++ development. It was able to semantics of a language and give suggestions and more over its very light weight software that takes very less memory. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"KDevelop great for C++ development on Linux"

What do you like best about KDevelop?

KDevelop has a clean interface. Its GUI debugger is great, and beats gdb hands down. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about KDevelop?

The GUI debugger does not expose advanced features of gdb. Workaround: it is possible to execute gdb commands directly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering KDevelop:

If you are still using emacs or vim, give KDevelop a try. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is KDevelop solving and how is that benefiting you?

I was doing research and development on Linux as a research assistant. With the GUI interface of KDevelop, I was able to develop and debug code more quickly than in a text editor such as emacs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about KDevelop?

KDevelop offer:

- support for most popular programming languages like PHP, Python, C, C++ and more...

- integration with most popular CVS like Git, SVN and Mercurial

- auto-completion, syntax highlight and debugger

"Best IDE for Linux"

What do you like best about KDevelop?

It's the only IDE that has C++ code completion and refactoring that isn't as slow as in Eclipse. I also like it comes with Ruby support which I use daily. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about KDevelop?

Building the project is cumbersome, but, again, most other IDE's out there provide similar experience Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
