Top Rated Kdan Cloud Alternatives

I found this app easy to use right from the start. Usually it takes me some time to figure out what's what, but with this particular cloud storage, I just got the app on my phone, signed up and started uploading all the files that were taking up my phone and my notebook. I'm kind of late to the whole cloud-storage solution, so I'm glad this app/software is easy to set up. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I've been using Kdan cloud for about a year now, and so far I don't have any complaints. I'll update this review if I find something that bothers me. Hopefully I don't. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
11 out of 12 Total Reviews for Kdan Cloud
Here's the list of things I liked about KDAN Cloud:
1. Easy to use: KDAN Cloud's web app is straightforward. Anyone can use it with ease. All the options available are pretty self-explanatory.
2. Minimal Interface - Honestly, the user experience is pretty satisfying. Minimal yet subtle animations and all the required options on the home page make it a breeze to use.
3. Download speed - The download speed of KDAN Cloud is on par with other leading cloud storage solutions.
4. Feature-packed - KDAN Cloud contains all the features a typical internet user might expect. It includes a list and a tab view, an option to see recent files, sharing files via links, permission controls on shared files, file previews, file starring and much more.
5. File Previewing - My typical workflow involves sharing many PDF files, and since the parent company KDAN has a track record of some great PDF apps, the previewing file options were decent, if not perfect. It's among very few that offer more possibilities, like rotating PDF files right on the preview section.
6. Sustainable development - They are among the few companies actively working on climate change by adopting sustainable practices into their workflow. For example, they offered me a discount coupon, which lowered the price and assured me that a tree would be grown. I am unsure about the authenticity of the information, but it feels good.
7. Pricing - Now, here's the best part. In less than 10 USD, you can get 500GB of cloud storage; their coupons act as the cherry on top of the cake. The price is far lower than some of the competitors. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Here's the list of cons:
1. Less value for money - KDAN seems to have a lot of other options to offer; however, they all have different pricing. Purchasing every software can be a tad expensive. Compared to alternatives like Microsoft 365, it seems less value for money.
2. Iffy upload speeds - The upload speeds were pretty inconsistent. Sometimes, it was on par with the download speeds, but most of the time, it was pretty low.
3. Lack of Office suite - A lack of Office suite means you have to download the files to access them on some Office suite, which becomes annoying.
4. Buggy - The web app seems to be quite buggy. Most of the time, the files previewed were blurry. Rotating on one side happens on the other side. Or sometimes, clicks were not getting registered.
5. Free plan is pretty scarce - Given that the free program gives just 2GB of storage, it leaves much to be expected. Also, given they have not integrated any app of their ecosystem onto their cloud service, it feels too less compared to the competition.
6. Lack of apps: KDAN Cloud has web and iOS apps. That's all. Plus, the web app lacks a dark mode. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
One of the standout features of Kdan Cloud is its user-friendly interface. The web app is straightforward to navigate, making it accessible to users of all levels of technical expertise. The minimal interface design, accompanied by subtle animations, provides a pleasant user experience.
Kdan Cloud is feature-packed, catering to the needs of typical internet users. It offers various viewing options, including list and tab views, recent file tracking, and previewing, significantly enhancing productivity. Additionally, the platform supports file sharing through links, complete with permission controls, and allows users to star essential files for easy access. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Kdan Cloud is a great and reliable cloud storage solution, but as with all cloud base software, there is merit in considering alternatives based on your specific requirements. I did not need so many features for my purposes, so a free or trial version alternative was my goal. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It is secure and has full security measures so that data is not compromised. It has integration ability with other apps and can be used across mobile appications. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It is costly and requires switching from one system to another. It needs to be more user friendly and able to move files from one application to another easily. It should also provide ability to identify duplicate files in teh system. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The most helpful feature of Kdan is its PDF viewer. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I'm not a big fan of their cancellation process; it's what inspired this review. When I transitioned from a free user to a trial subscriber, their website took me on a joy ride! First, it directed me to Document 365, followed by Microsoft to enter my payment information. Once I returned to the task at hand, using the premium feature of converting a PDF into a doc, it disappeared! After some research, I found it in Kdan Cloud, and after a few failed attempts, I downloaded it. I never used the product again, tried to locate the cancellation section on their website, contacted support but failed to meet a resolution. One day after getting charged $59.99, they informed me that I had to cancel with Microsft. I did so, but Microsoft only allowed me to cancel & enjoy my product for the next 364 days. The best aspect of this platform is its simplicity, in my opinion. It helps to complete a variety of tasks within a couple of minutes. Uploading files can be done really quickly and I can upload several files that aren't zipped in less than a minute. Besides, I like that the files that you have deleted can be recovered. Easy to use, lots of space and convenient tools. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I think 1 TB of space is enough for some teams/companies, but we're already running out of space just after a few months. This means either storing our files on hard drives for later use/retrieval or switching to a cloud/drive with more space. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I like how well the synching feature works and this cloud is well-designed in terms of working with other Kdan Mobile products. For instance, when I use their video editor or any of the other apps, I upload all the unfinished projects and they are accessible from the other devices too, even if I open them on my mobile device. It simplifies document storage for me as well - I use it to store both work and personal files. Everything is easy to share, both folders and individual files, it's great for collaboration and has been working quite well for me so far. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It's a shame that when I load a new file to this cloud, I can't open it right away by clicking on the window with the freshly uploaded files. I have to look for the file amongst the other ones in the list or by typing its name in the search bar. Compared to other online cloud storages where this feature is readily available, it was a little inconvenient to adjust, but I'm used to it now. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It's been a little over a month now that I've been using Kdan Cloud, and honestly, its great value for the price. You receive all the basic functions that you'd expect from a modern cloud system. Everything was easy to set up and it didn't take long for me to fully get a hang of it all. I access the cloud mainly from my iPhone and from my PC's browser and I am yet to notice any files going missing or having some sort of an issue when accessing the cloud, good stuff all around! The only storage option is 500GB and what I'd like to see or maybe would have preferred is more options in that regard. I don't really need so much space and I think if there were options for 250 or 100 GBs, I'd opt for one of those for a smaller cost. Hopefully now I can find ways to utilize all of that exess space since it's at my disposal. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I like that this program is powerful enough for loading several large files at once. Another great thing about this cloud service is the user interface. It's bright, colorful and simple. There are no unnecessary icons or functions such as endless small buttons or tabs. All the basics you need are right there: files, links, shared folders, team and trash - very easy to use. The website behaves weirdly sometimes. Many errors occur on the page and I have to reload it pretty frequently. It's not super buggy, but the page does have to be reloaded. Another thing is that this platform is missing a tutorial. When I suggested to my colleague to check this platform out, there were quite a few questions on their side regarding the app. I hope the creators take care of it. One of my favorite things about this cloud storage is how much space you get - 1TB allows me to store all my work-related files and documents, lots of media - photographs, videos, etc. All the files generated by the other Kdan apps that I use go into this cloud as well. I like the accessibility and ease of use.. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
This particular storage works best with the native Kdan Mobile apps, so uploading other kinds of files can be tricky and take longer to upload. I wish it was easier to upload all kinds of files to this cloud, still. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I like the way that this cloud works in general. You don't necessarily have to download it, you can use the website version as well. It's fast and the interface is as simple as it gets. The understanding of how the tools work comes right away since there is a nice tutorial section (FAQs), where every instruction has screenshots, which makes it easy for a newcomer to adjust to the unfamiliar features. Besides, the cloud connects all Kdan software and if you use any of them, it's really convenient to have all the data synchronized. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It's a shame that there is no mobile version for Android OS. In general it's okay to only be able to use the browser version, but it would be a little more convenient if there was an app. I work on my phone quite often, and I keep a lot of files on there. So I don't always have time to share them between my devices, that's why it would be good to have Kdan Cloud on the smartphone as well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
