**What do you like best about Kangarootime?**

I love that Kangarootime provides so much support for families and childcare centers to stay connected. There is an integrated door option for security via bluetooth along with a function to send messages, texts, and photos!

**What do you dislike about Kangarootime?**

I would like an option for video to be sent to families. I believe Kangarootime is currently working on that feature! My staff and I are excited about that!

**What problems is Kangarootime solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Kangarootime has an automated billing system that allows billing to run effectively and automatically without reminders for administrators.

**What do you like best about Kangarootime?**

That we have all the different systems combined in one. Very easy to use. Customer Service is now slow and does not follow through. They are willing to listen to improvement to the system based on feedback but do not follow through with upgrades as promised.

**What do you dislike about Kangarootime?**

I would like to see more reporting options, specially when it comes to financials of the company and food program. 

I have been waiting for this for over 3 years and not upgrades have been made

Parent payments is easy and timely.
Staff and children clock in and out. It is all on line and easy accessible
Rooming everyone can see each classroom and if they are within ratios
Parent Communication easy way to keep parents inform about their child's day

**What do you like best about Kangarootime?**

This is such a time saver for us. The all in one platform helps us keep our business on track and also make it fun and exciting for the parents. The BIGGEST piece is also the people!! The people who own and operate Kangarootime are the absolute best. They are always available and they always open to adding features you need and making that happen in rapid timing. Also, the security of private information is fantastic and uses the most secure platform.

**What do you dislike about Kangarootime?**

We truly do not have any complaints. The reasons above are a perfect representation of how great the program is. The things we have disliked in the past have been resolved or features have been added so we cannot write about ay dislikes.

You will be so happy with Kangarootime. The software will not disappoint and it will definitely save you so much time and money. You will love the people. Mostly, your parents will be so happy with the real-time App to stay in touch with their sweet little ones while in your care.

**What problems is Kangarootime solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This is solving our issues by saving us time and money. The following features are why: billing and payments, parent communication, privately sharing photos of and information for the children, staff scheduling, Federal Food Program, health checks & tracking (especially awesome during COVID) and reports.

**What do you like best about Kangarootime?**

Kangarootime is super user friendly for both our staff and parents! It is easy for them to both learn and use. It does everything we need it to as program, plus more! I'm both a staff member and a parent that uses Kangarootime, and I have always been thrilled with the program. The staff at Kangarootime are also incredibly responsive to any issues, questions, and ideas that we have. It is a very efficient program that is organized well. I would highly recommend it!

**What do you dislike about Kangarootime?**

Nothing! Anytime we have a concern they immediately address it and work to fix or remedy the situation.

**Recommendations to others considering Kangarootime:**

Absolutely consider it! While it may not be as widely known as some other similar programs, Kangarootime is a wonderful choice. They are a wonderful company to work with, and I cannot say enough about their responsiveness, willingness to take feedback and implement ideas, and the ease of the program!

It has been incredibly helpful for our billing and reporting. It has also streamlined our arrival and pick up process, especially in these times of Covid-19 and not being able to allow families in the building.

**What do you like best about Kangarootime?**

I have loved Kangarootime from day one.  How can we pick what we like best when there are so many amazing benefits. The parent portability, ease of communication, signing children in and out, and billing for tuition are our favorites. We also love the rooming feature because our facility is unique in that we provide therapy services onsite. As a result of the rooming feature, therapists can pull kids out of their classrooms and "room them" to the therapy room, which helps keep track of location of all children.

**What do you dislike about Kangarootime?**

The only problem we have had in the past year is that some parents complain of not receiving their messages. However, customer service is great about trying to resolve problems quickly.

**Recommendations to others considering Kangarootime:**

I compared multiple systems when purchasing Kangarootime for my school. It had more capabilities with a large company accessibility but small company feeling.

**What problems is Kangarootime solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We already had contactless signing in / out before the pandemic so it was easy to transition to a carline verses bringing children into our facility. We love the benefit of parents seeing their tuition bills and statements without calling us for financial data.

What I like best is the rooming. You can see which children are in the building each day and you can see the room/ rooms they are in throughout the day.

As an administrator I can't clock in at different sites unless I make an account for each site. I wish my one account would allow me to clock in at all sites.

Kangaroo Time is helping us find our billing mistakes and it makes it very easy to fix them.

**What do you like best about Kangarootime?**

We really like that fact that it is an all inclusive platform. We can communicate with families, send out digital daily sheets that include pictures and have parents set up the payment methods to make billing a breeze!

**What do you dislike about Kangarootime?**

We notice that, at certain times in the afternoon, it seems to run pretty slow and it takes a long time for the pages to load.

**What problems is Kangarootime solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This has saved management and staff a lot of time because we are no longer using 2 different programs. One helped with billing and check-in and check-out security. The other one we used covered communication and daily logs. Parents also have access to upload documents such as physicals.

As a director, I like that I can access it from anywhere I am. I can see which children are at school today, time stamps on attendance, the messaging now includes SMS texts, internal notes for  ease, and so much more!

In the beginning, guardians could not pick up other families children.

We love it! They are always on top of new ideas and implementing any feedback we give. Any time we have an issue, we are contacted right away to resolve. The best team!!!

No touch check in and check outs. communication with parents, and  just having info available at any time for emergencies is so helpful!

How easy creating invoices for tuition is!

**What do you dislike about Kangarootime?**

The only downside is our WiFi in the building hasn’t been strong enough for all the features.

Make sure you have a strong internet connection and make sure the tablets are compatible to the software.

Staying organized with line items on invoices. Our old way of recording tuition and other fees was out of date and disorganized.

**What do you like best about Kangarootime?**

Kangarootime has helped us streamline our finances in addition to being a great tool to communicate with families.  I am a newer director and Kangarootime saved me a lot of time and allowed me to focus more on our staff and children, instead of spending all of my time worrying about collecting tuition and bookkeeping.

Their customer service is amazing.  Any time I have a question or suggestion for improvement, I get a prompt and usually enthusiastic reply.

I can tell the staff are actively working to improve their product and they are extremely receptive to feedback because they know it will help them get better.  Kangarootime is already great but I am always excited to imagine how great it will be in the future!

**What do you dislike about Kangarootime?**

There are some features that are still in beta.  I have been lucky enough to test some of these features, but not all.  Often when I make requests for updates or changes the staff seems receptive, but there's never a clear deadline abuot when changes are going to happen.  (Please note that this is not a dealbreaker for us!)

The website is also not optimized for cell phones - computer works best.  We have tablets for our classrooms but the next time we update our tech we will be using computers (easier for typing note and messages).  I would love to have a staff "app" that looks like the website but sends push notifications for messages, needed file updates, etc.

**Recommendations to others considering Kangarootime:**

Do some research, but if you have any questions definitely don't hesitate to reach out to their staff.  They have been extremely helpful and usually exceed my expectations!

**What problems is Kangarootime solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have saved countless hours of paperwork on the tuition-collection side of administration.  We have also been slowly moving ourselves to paperless filing, although sometimes that is not allowed by our state regulations.  

Parent satisfaction with communication is very high with our use of Kangarootime.  They enjoy seeing up-to-date notes on their children, photo uploads, and the ability to message teachers directly. Using Kangarootime in our small center has gotten my staff to stop using their cell phones for communication.

As a center director I am able to see where everyone is at any given time, which is very useful for security concerns .

Our favorite feature of Kangarootime is the process improvement it's helped with inside of our business.  It has streamlined so many functions of running a preschool that it saves time which allows us to be more efficient in how we operate.

We started with Kangarootime when they were a young company and growing with them has had challenges, but it's actually turned into a blessing because customer feedback is important and they actually listen and make changes & improvements based on information from their clients on what works and what doesn't.

**Recommendations to others considering Kangarootime:**

Evaluate your options to see what might work at your particular center.  Kangarootime is a great program and we love it, but just like childcare, there is a software that works for every center and it may not be a good fit for you.  Call references!!!  It is so important to go in with your eyes wide open about others challenges when implementing and using new software but also the benefits they are seeing first hand in their business.  A new software system is no joke- the learning curve for you, your parents and your staff is steep no matter which system you choose.  We found the learning curve with Kangarootime was quickly surmounted because of the current technological savvy in society today.

Kangarootime has allowed us to reduce the amount of paper we use in the center, which is a huge cost savings.  In addition, our parent satisfaction has increased because Kangarootime is an All-in-One app that allows them to manage the entire preschool experience.

**What do you like best about Kangarootime?**

We love how user-friendly Kangarootime is. From day one of set up and implementation, the process has been smooth. If ever we have an issue or a question it is quickly resolved by contacting the Kangarootime Support Team. We love that Kangarootime is so easily managed on any device.

Our parents/users love that Kangarootime is at their fingertips. They appreciate being able to receive updates and photos of their children throughout the day.

**What do you dislike about Kangarootime?**

The only thing that we would like to see happen in Kangarootime is the ability for one person to check-in/check-out multiple children. We have several family members that pick up and drop off cousins, siblings, friends, and by allowing this it would make out check-in/check-out faster and easier.

**Recommendations to others considering Kangarootime:**

Do your research and don't be afraid to ask questions. Scott and the team at Kangarootime really do care and they are dedicated to making a reliable product for the industry. We were looking at several other applications before choosing Kangarootime. We chose Kangarootime because they took the time to reassure us what they could do for our management. We are a small school so purchasing anything always has to be considered very carefully. Scott and his team took the time and for that, we will forever be grateful.

If I could just say one other amazing thing about Kangarootime is they love feedback and ideas! This company really takes its user's input to heart, and they are developing new areas for the program all the time. If you have an idea for improvement, you never know....yours might be the next one they implement into the program.

We have had Kangarootime for over a year now and so many issues were solved within the first two months of use. Our billing process is automated so we don't have to track people down, and record payments by hand. By the 3rd month of use, every child's tuition was being paid on time through the app. That had never happened before Kangarootime.

Our attendance log, our student roster, and medical forms are at the touch of our fingers instead of having to pull out a huge file box to find what we are looking for. Communication with parents is faster and their ability to respond to us on the app has been a huge plus. I really can't say enough great things about the Kangarootime app. It has completely changed the management and documentation process of our preschool for the better.

The day to day use of the administrative side of their software is a true time saver.  It empowers the parents to " own " their account so that we don't have to spend time billing, reporting and answering questions.

The parent communication side needs some work.

The automated billing cycle and the funds transfer management saves us so much time.  Agency billing is also really well thought out.

I think that the team that Scott has assembled at Kangarootime is the most important factor.  They provide great support and continue to add functionality that enables our centers to be more efficient.

**What do you dislike about Kangarootime?**

Some of the software's graphics and reports could be improved, and I know that this is something that they are addressing.

**Recommendations to others considering Kangarootime:**

Evaluate the software thoroughly against the competition and make sure that you get to know the key players at each company.  You are not only buying software, you are getting a partner for your business so you want to select the right people who can help your organization grow.

Less paperwork; better communication with parents; more effective scheduling of, and communication with, employees; better management of children and staff in real time; less time required each week for billing.

So far I have not found anythings that I do not like

I am able to keep track of required paperwork for parents and teachers, they get auto reminders. Billing is automated and families also get auto reminders. I am able to check the statements before they go out to families. The parent app gives parents access to a lot of information about their account. Communication to the classroom or director is available via the app. parents receive real time updates about their children. Setting up a business from the ground up using Kangarootime is great.

The eye appeal and how straightforward everything is. Attention to detail for the smallest stuff was considered!

Billing is the most complicated aspect of any child care center. Kanagroo time managed to make it seamless but it does take some time and effort and more importantly repetition to get used to it.

Meal tracking, head counts, Employee time logs, payroll. Everything is included through one software.

**What do you dislike about Kangarootime?**

I disliked the bugs at first. This is a newer software but the support team has been great! If we have anything we need done or looked at there are reliable people who we can contact and get things fixed or changed without hesitation.

Everything is handled on the app! When we do food billing we have an accurate meal count. We can see when teachers change classrooms as well as an active count of which children are at our center at any moment!

I would recommend that you check out everything about Kangarootime, cost, ease of use, and all of its features!  You would be missing out if you went with any other company.

I love having a place to put notes on a student instead of in a paper file.  There are no chances of it being lost.  The benefits are all the time saving I am doing without having to keep track of things on paper.

**What do you like best about Kangarootime?**

KT has provided a streamlined service for almost everything that we do including invoicing, payment collection, and daily reports.

**What do you dislike about Kangarootime?**

The billing cycles are a little confusing. It is hard to enter in a manual line item without it affecting the automatic withdrawal. Would love to see more report options and also some alignment with state standards, developmental milestones. Would be great to do the lesson plans within KT also...and have the parents be able to see it.

**What problems is Kangarootime solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Love the automation with billing and late fees. Also love the daily reports that are emailed to parents nightly.

**What do you like best about Kangarootime?**

All of the features! They continue to improve, from billing to meal counts.  Our families love the updated parent app. They also recently added employee scheduling, menus.

**What do you dislike about Kangarootime?**

The messaging. In my opinion it’s the base of parent communication and it takes extra steps that are outside of the admin control to make sure parents get their messages because the notifications are sent via push notifications instead of text message. I wish they had text message capability.  The push notifications aren’t as efficient for us because we’ve had to try to stop every parent and help them turn their notifications to persistent, we’ve posted flyers and sent home how to’s in every cubby as well as started doing enrollment meetings before students start to tackle setting Kangarootime up correctly etc however I still get families that aren’t getting messages because when they change phones, reset or update their phones it seems like it defaults back to temporary notifications. I’ve been asking about texting since we signed up a few years ago.

It’s a true all in one.

The ability to truly manage my schools in one place. I eliminated the use of about 4 other systems and programs because KT had it all.

I love how user friendly Kangarootime is. With one click of a button full sentences are written and downloaded for parent viewing via the app in real time.

I dislike the attendance sheet feature as it never works for me so I need to make my own attendance sheet weekly. I also dislike how it doesnt work as well on a mac as it does on a pc
