What do you like best about Kaleido?

I was building a handful of prototypes for businesses testing several Blockchain ideas. Through the process of building these prototypes, we have had to test various ideas and in the process, work with Blockchain tools like Chainlink and IPFS. Kaleido was totally hasslefree. We setup and tore down nodes, added and removed new participants to the consortium and various other operations in a few clicks. This would have taken up a large part of our time if we have had to do it the conventional way which is to multiple instances of Geth. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Kaleido?

As a work in progress, there were some web3/solidity functions such as watching for events that didn't quite work as expected in Kaleido. Once in a while, a Geth update on Kaleido breaks our codes. But all in, Kaleido saved us tremendous amount of time. It manages our Blockchain infrastructure, freeing up the time for our very small team to build our app. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Kaleido solving and how is that benefiting you?

Saved a tremendous amount of time. Of all the things I have had to do when we build Blockchain prototypes, the most painful one must have been Geth syncing! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Kaleido?

- Kaleido's offers multiple blockchain services easy to deploy, ultra secure and easy to scale.

- The deployment of tokens, user's wallets, smart contracts and other Web3 service is simple and the API functions to interface with the smart contracts a realy big plus.

- The choice of options, the integration with other public chains like Polygon is great. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Kaleido?

Not much I can think about. So much so that I would not consider looking for an alternative for any future projects as Kaleido's in my view only has plus points. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Kaleido solving and how is that benefiting you?

I've used Kaleido blockchain in 3 projects now and have 2 more in development.

The first projects range from a Motorsport NFT collector platform with token rewards having both driver's wallets and user's wallets.

The 2nd project was build to handle identity management and personal information sharing via NFT

The 3rd project deployed using Polygon Edge is to provide Escrow processing transactions.

Those projects and the on-going ones benefit from having one central platform with all the Web3 tools and security in one place to administer it. It also benefit from solid integration such as Polygon Edge and as a developer, one of the best feature of Kaleido in my view is that every smart contracts deployed on Kaleido have their own API endpoints that can be access easily from any custom developments. What do you like best about Kaleido?

The best part about Kaleido is the team behind the product. Every single person I connected with at Kaleido treated clients as the top priority, treated your project as the most important on their roadmap and were dedicated to your success. They were all knowledgeable in their own area of expertise.

Additionally the ease of implementation and integration prior to our launch as well as the number of third party integrations and features at our disposal was the clear winner for us to work with Kaleido over any other blockchain business solution. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Kaleido?

Nothing - even though Kaleido didn't yet have the exact solution we needed to launch, they built it for us within a matter of weeks. They are the best. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Kaleido solving and how is that benefiting you?

Kaleido solved multiple issues for us - they provide a blockchain cloud solution that includes an asset platform as well as support across multiple blockchain including private, side and public chains. We need the flexiblity to move assets across multiple chains, both private and public, and Kaleido's architechture was built with the ease of integration and the support of future growth. Additionally, Kaleido's integration with wallet and key management options, oracle networks and and cloud services solved major pain points for us as we were building across both web2 and web3. What do you dislike about Kaleido?

Pricing for Kaleido can be difficult to forecast as you grow and scale. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Kaleido solving and how is that benefiting you?

We want to simply startup BaaS as if it was as easy as opening up Microsoft Word and Excel. Being able to create the infrastructure as a service quickly allows us to build use cases and dApps incredibly quick. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

No complaints at all – Kaleido is great to use and their support team is amazing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Kaleido solving and how is that benefiting you?

Digital transformation projects for confidential private and public sector clients. These are multi-party B2B enterprise collaboration networks that need governance, private document exchange, messaging and API gateways, event streams, digital assets, advanced key management options, and easy onboarding of new members to scale and grow. Kaleido’s platform and services have made it very easy to build, run and operate these enterprise networks with cross-cloud, multi-region and hybrid deployment options. Kaleido also has built in high availability, disaster recovery, business continuity, and ISO27K and SOC2 certifications which are very important to our commercial and government clients. What do you like best about Kaleido?

As Afloat moves from a permisioned blockchain company with several internal nodes to a permissioned blockchain with nodes as part of a consortium, Kaleido has been very responsive, knowledgeable and professional in the entire process. We learned about Kaleido through our blockchain programmer in Poland only to realize that they were regional to our company location. We feel fortunate to have met three of members of their team at various levels in the organization (from CEO to client-facing support) in person, and they all have very helpful, positive, and grounded energy. Their knowledge base of this innovative technology is impressive and a huge relief. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Kaleido?

My blockchain programmer has taken over 5 months to migrate our blockchain to Kaleido. He has to duplicate the data on the blockchain into our database to increase the rate functioning of the Kaleido requirements, which is putting strain on our start-up. It is not clear to me, as CEO of Afloat, which costs of AWS and other services we can eliminate with Kaleido, nor is it clear to me yet that at the end of the day we will save money in the transition. I am optimistic and trust the people I have met in person at Kaleido, so I'm hoping there is room to negotiate if the set-up feels unreasonably expensive, given that we are currently in the pre-revenue stage. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Kaleido solving and how is that benefiting you?

We hope to reduce the amount of programming needed by our blockchain developer, since blockchain developers are expensive and rare. We also hope to roll out our consortium more easily with Kaleido as we work to bring government agencies and university systems into our consortium by being nodes. What do you like best about Kaleido?

Kaleido's founders come with a long history in delivery of technology solutions for business enterprise, with equally strong capabilities in technology and business - this is not technology for technology sake. From day one the company has clearly been focused on delivering a solution that allows businesses capture the oft-heralded but rarely achieved gains, whether efficiency or competitive advantage, that blockchain technology promises. Their offer is simple to use when starting out but durable and scalable into production. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Kaleido?

The company is backed primarily by Consensys currently - it would be reassuring to see other funders join, from both a financial perspective and cross market support. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Kaleido solving and how is that benefiting you?

I am aware of clients using this platform to prototype blockchain-based solutions for use internally, for example inter-company transactions within a large multinational financial services entity. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Kaleido?

Kaleido's full line of offerings allowed us to outsource our blockchain infrastructure. Their support has been amazing. Major kudos to Nick Gaski of Kaleido for his assistance. Once we realized the functionality of the Kaledio Business Cloud our internal work load was significantly reduced. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Kaleido?

Nothing to dislike. As always, I am always concerned about support but that became a non-issue due to quality of support and responsiveness. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Kaleido solving and how is that benefiting you?

We needed a full stack blockchain-as-a-service solution to provide the foundtation for our healthcare data interoperability project, Probably saved us 3 months of time as well as a considerable amount of money on the the project Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Kaleido?

We want to focus on development so letting Kaleido run the "node devops department" saves our customers time and letting us focus. Through simple setup and configuration we still have the control we need as developers.

Also having tools and information about how customers can connect and manage their nodes will greatly save us time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Kaleido?

Maybe one can get to reliant on their cloud infrastructure. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Kaleido solving and how is that benefiting you?

Less time used setting up and maintaing nodes.

So much easier to test an aspect of the network you are able to run. Wonder how Besu private tx works, setup a node with some clicks and test it out. Wondering how Raft works in Quorum, setup a node and test it out. They really simplified this process. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Kaleido?

Kaleido is the quickest way to stand-up a permissioned Ethereum instance. The team has made is really easy to interact with the blockchain via a rich set of REST APIs, including deploying custom Solidity code and invoking it.

Kaleido also supports out of the box integrations with a number of other systems via their marketplace, so you can focus on solving your business problem, not infrastructure or security. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Kaleido?

As with any Blockchain as a Service, you do lose some control over configuration, topology and security. You also trade-off ease of use against centralisation. The Kaleido team is very impressive however and makes these trade-offs quite explicit and has mitigations for some. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Kaleido solving and how is that benefiting you?

We help Clause.io customers send contract data to permissioned blockchains (Hyperledger Fabric, Corda and Ethereum). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
