I love the look and ease of use. The customer support is top tier.They fix any issues/bugs quickly and truly listen to my enhancement requests. Kainexus is a very flexible and at same time comprehensive platform that fully support Continuous Improvement even in a very complex organization. In same environment you can manage from any device data, charts, audits and their results, Problem solving, more or less structured improvements. All improvement can easily be organize in powerful boards that allow a very detailed tracking with unlimited personalization options. No mails, no more action plans in excel, anybody involved or interested is getting notification in realtime. System is very stable and customer support is always ready. We (large suburban community hospital) are a continuously improving organization with a commitment to lean and spent many years researching the right platform to harness employee involvement and creativity. We were looking for more than a suggestion box system and we found it in KaiNexus. Right now we use it to collect and manage employee ideas for improvement, to document Performance Improvement plans, to allow omni-directional public recognition of colleagues, and to track issues raised in our daily huddle management system. The ecalation function allows us to elevate issues from one level of the organizatio to the next for review with a click. Nothing gets lost or falls through the cracks.

Certain bugs that we reported can take a long time to fix (e.g., cycle time report is incorrect and has been that way for over 6 months)
Report options are fixed and doesn't allow for the kind of flexibility we need in terms of formating and allowing API to link to report results.
Report graphs options are limited. Would be nice if it integrates with Tableau where data can be directly inputed into Tableau.
Have to rely too much on KN CSM and SE to do some tasks. Wish they can allower client admin to do more.
API features is not very robust. currently have to use work arounds.
Software doesn't allow user to code additional features. There was a simulation software I used before that allows user to code in Java along side their basic standard functions.
Role settings for what the end user can and can't do should be expanded (e.g., can / can't archive idea team).

We brought Kainexus in at a previous employer as part of our plan to pull all of our CI activity into a single platform that could be used by in person and remote employees. A year ago I changed employers and one of my first calls after making the decision was to Kainexus to let them know I would want to have conversations about bringing it in to my new employer. Today Kainexus is central to how we spread continuous improvement. We have two primary use cases. The first is daily improvement, or Kaizen. For Kaizen we have users interact directly with Kainexus to capture the problems they are working on, the countermeasures they implement and the value captured by the improvement. Our second use case is A3's. In this use case teams utilize Kainexus to house their A3's along with their supporting documentation and a central place to capture the value of the A3 work. Kainexus is our central repository for being abel to tell the story of continuous improvement. It is accessed and utilized by all layers in the organization. KaiNexus' focus on customer service is amazing. They take the time to get to know you and what you are trying to accomplish with their system. They then customize the interface to meet your needs as you work to impact or establish a culture of continuous improvement in your organization. They are very responsive to change requests, in most cases they are updating the system as you are talking on the phone. KaiNexus is focused on Continuous Improvement. Which means they are constantly improving and making enhancements to their software. The have a strong change management communication strategy, but as a user it is hard to stay on top of all the cool things they are doing with a busy schedule.
